Today's special was over around 11:00am.
Jon asked when she started listening to the show. Pamela said in the late 80s she started listening. She said she heard the show in the back seat of the car. She said it was more casual around 91 or so and then die hard in 1996. Jon asked if she reacts to the conversation or does she keep notes. Pamela said she reacts to what they're talking about. She said she has been on hold before and she has changed her mind about what she wanted to talk about based on what they were talking about. Jon asked if Sal is one of her favorites. Pamela said she knows that it's going to be something great when Sal is on. She said she'll be interested for the show and maybe for years to come.
Jon played a ''What You Need to Know'' about today's show. Jon said that Jason is one of the subjects in the poll. He asked Rahsaan to give them the details of that. Rahsaan said they're asking which one out of Jason and High Pitch Eric will do something about their weight. Jon asked Rahsaan which one he thinks will do something. Rahsaan said he doesn't think either one will. Jon said he's surprised neither one has done anything. Pamela said she thinks that Jason is really consumed with eating. She said High Pitch is just a slob of low intelligence and he's doing all of the base things like food and shelter.
Jon asked if Pamela thinks that Eric is going to make it much longer. Pamela said he's the type that may outlast them all like a cockroach. She said he games the system and he is either doing that with people or with the government. She said she doesn't think he has a moral compass. She said she thinks that he's just going to keep going in that direction.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked if they think that Eric could eat through one of those stomach bands if he got that. Jon said he thinks he could. Jon said Eric used to be much lighter than he is now. He said like Pamela said he's just fallen into that routine. Jon said he has no reason to change at this point. He said he's got a part on Blue Bloods now. The caller said that everything he eats is being spoon fed to him. He said that he's getting fed what's fed to him. He said he doesn't think he'll lose any weight anytime soon if he's getting this food for free. They went to break a short time later.
Jon took a call from a woman who congratulated ''Paula'' on making it on the show. Pamela corrected her but said it was fine. The caller said it's great that they have fans who are women. She said she thought it was crossing the line a bit when she said Eric is a fat slob with low intelligence. She said she thinks he needs a lot of help. Pamela said he's getting it though. She said that he has safety nets. Jon asked the caller if she thinks Eric is misunderstood. She said in away she does. She said she thinks that he's crying out for help. Pamela said the poor woman who gets that... The caller congratulated Pamela for getting on the show again.
Jon said he thinks that calling Eric a fat slob isn't that out of line. He said he is fat and he is a slob. Jon said it takes some smarts to be as conniving as he is though. He said there is a high degree of intelligence when it comes to that. He said that everyone has a unique form of intelligence. Pamela said she likes Eric in small doses.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he thought there was a moment last week when Howard was talking about his parents getting older and he wonders if he's thinking about their mortality. Jon said he thinks he might be. He said it can be rough when you get older like that. He said losing your folks is hard and it's going to hit Howard hard. He said it will take a toll on him too. Jon said it reminds you that you're not on this planet for very long and you should make the most of it. Pamela said she likes hearing Howard doing the voices and it would be great if he did that in the future when they're gone. Jon told her not to rush it. Jon said Howard sounds a lot like his parents already. Pamela said Howard does talk like an Old New York Jew, and she can say that because she is Jewish too.
Jon took a call from a woman who said she had the weight loss surgery a few years ago and it's a big change. She said you can't just eat anything you want. She said that you're put on a restrictive diet and you have to stay on it before the surgery. She said that it's not a quick fix. Jon said he doesn't think High Pitch would be able to do it. Pamela said she doesn't think he'd even be able to prep himself. Jon agreed. They went to break a short time later.

Jon said he thinks Beetlejuice is almost a unanimous winner when you mention that thing. Jon asked if Beetle is the number 1 guy. Pamela said she thinks so but she loves Sour Shoes too. She said when he's on she knows she's going to have so much fun. She said she thinks Sour is a happy person though. Jon said there will never be another one like Beetlejuice. He said he's special and he's above all of the others. Jon said that's why you put him on the Wack Pack Mt. Rushmore.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he's going to see America's Got Talent 3 times this week. He also said that Eric appearance was one of the best ever. Jon said he agrees but he had to let him go because of his bad phone connection. Jon said you do what to know what's next in his life. Pamela said Howard is the one who makes it entertaining. She said that it's all his own talent. She said that he knows how much time to give to everyone.
Jon asked about what kind of mood Howard is going to be in when he returns next week. Pamela said he's going to be horribly irritated. Jon asked if she's looking forward to that. Pamela said she is. She asked who wants a not irritated Howard. She said that he will tell them the story about what went on out there. Jon said you know someone will come in and do the wrong thing and all hell will be unleashed on them. Jon said that no one listens when you warn them about that. Jon said Howard never really digs into JD though. He said he goofs on him but he never digs. Jon asked if Howard is proud of JD that he has a girlfriend now. Pamela said she thinks Howard observes him like an anthropologist. She said she thinks Howard is fascinated and loves JD.
Jon said they have to find out how the poll went today. The question was ''You heard Howard lecture Jason and High Pitch Eric on their weight, who will actually do something about it? Jason, High Pitch or neither?'' Rahsaan said that 52 percent voted that neither of them will do anything about it. Jon asked who the big winner was. Rahsaan said Jason got 40 percent of the vote. Jon said he hopes both of them get their acts together eventually. Jon got in a plug for today's Sternthology and ended the show around 11:35am.
Today's special was over around 10:50am.
Jon asked Gren when she became a fan of the Stern show. Gren said when she was in college she rearranged her courses so she could listen to the show. She said she remembers watching the E! show and thinking about how they were all weirdos just like her.
Jon played a ''What You Need to Know'' about today's show. He said they have a poll up today. He had Rahsaan give them the details of that. Rahsaan said they're asking ''Did the guys have the right to go through Sal's makeup bag?'' Jon asked Gren if she thinks that they had the right to do that. She said she thinks they did because he went home to get the bag and lied about it.
Jon said Sal sounds like a woman getting ready in the morning. He said he did lie about all of that. Jon asked if there is something he's hiding deep down or what. Gren said she gets it and she knows how he must feel. Jon said there was something in that bag that he didn't want people to see. He said there had to be something else but he felt his privacy was being invaded. He said that reminded him of when they went through Fred's bag. He said that was an invasion of privacy. He said when Sal was walking into the office Sal dropped the makeup bag in a recycle bin. He said Sal is sneaky and clever. He said he deserves the crap he gets though. Jon said they had to take a break after that.
Jon took a call from a guy who said Sal originally started wearing makeup claiming it was for Howard TV and there is no Howard TV anymore. He said Sal is the king of bullshit and that's what makes great comedy. He said his backtracking is like none other. Jon said he thinks the whole makeup thing started a long time ago. He said he thinks it had to do with his raccoon eyes. Jon said he knows what Aveeno cream is because of Sal.
Jon said they found out today that Big Foot and Danielle are no longer walking down the aisle together. Jon asked if Gren saw this coming. She said she did. She said there were a lot of issues with them. She said that the assgasms may not have been enough to keep them together. Jon said that there is that Honeymoon season and that can't last forever. Jon asked if they can stand the test of time. Gren said that love can be fleeting at times. Jon said Big Foot is probably the best find they have there at Sirius. Gren said Big Foot is very unique. Jon wondered what Danielle is going to do now.
Jon took a call from a woman who said she loves Big Foot. She said she thinks Howard is the best counselor. She said if he got them together and sat them down he could sift through their issues. She said the other thing she wanted to add is that she thinks that Big Foot is great at losing weight and he could probably help other people in the Wack Pack out. She said that he comes out of left field with some of the things he gets right. Jon asked if she would recommend that exercise plan to High Pitch Eric. The caller said she would. She said that he lives in the greatest city in the world and he should listen to Big Foot.
Gren said that she used to have to jog to things when she had no money. She said maybe that can help some of these people out.
Jon took a call from a woman who said she has a friend who makes movies and that person told her that the directors always want to bang their stars. Jon asked Gren if that's true. Gren said she cast the star of the movie and her requirement was that she had to want to sit on his face. She said she got that from the guy she cast in the movie. They went to break a short time later.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he thinks that Howard always asks people if they fell in love with their co-stars. He said that Howard seems to do that with his guests. He said that they become his muse during that hour long interview. He said he seems to fall for them. Jon said he thinks he's right. Gren said that's very insightful. Jon said he thinks once people sit on that couch they do fall for Howard. He said he uses that for his interviews. He said that Howard usually works that out with the guests he has.
The caller had some brackets for Jon to go through. He asked Jon which of the staffers funerals Howard would go to if they all died on the same day. He had JD and Jon. Jon picked JD. Jon went with Richard between Richard and Sal. He picked Ronnie between Ronnie and Scott. He picked Jason between Jason and Will. Jon narrowed it down to Ronnie after going through the rest of the bracket. Jon said the answer is really just ''none'' but in this he's going to go with Ronnie.
Jon said they played the Kirstie Alley interview today. Jon said that was a great one. Gren agreed. Jon said she was very comfortable with Howard too. Jon and Gren spent time talking about Kirstie's interview and what they thought about it.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he's been a fan almost his entire life. He said that he compares Howard to Steve Jobs. He said he reinvents things. He said he didn't invent radio, he reinvented it. He said Howard takes up painting and he wants to be Picasso. He said people like that don't come along very often. He said in 100 years people will realize what he did. He said the people who work on the show have become amazing too. Gren said ''Amen to that.'' Jon said the appreciation for Howard will probably come when he's gone. Jon said he thinks people who don't listen to the show will appreciate what he did for the medium. Jon said Howard is one of the smartest guys he's ever met. He said he downplays that but he really is brilliant. Jon said Howard makes things different when he walks into something. He said that's what's made him successful.
Jon had Rahsaan give the results of the poll question which was ''Did the guys have the right to go through Sal's makeup bag?'' Rahsaan said 80 percent of the people voted yes. Gren said that might be because they actually found something in there.
Jon got in some plugs for today's Sternthology and for Gren's movie ''The Road Within'' before ending the show. They were done around 11:25am.
Today's special was over around 10:55am.
Jon gave Lenny a plug for his new show ''Big Time in Hollywood, FL'' and talked to him about working with Ben Stiller. Lenny said that they're able to do the show they way they do it because of Ben.
Lenny said he thinks he's in about the 20th year of listening. He said he goes way back to the WCCC days. He said that kind of depresses him slightly.
Jon played a ''What You Need to Know'' about today's show. Jon said that montage wraps up the whole Stern show. He said that it has everything. He said that's what the show does. It covers all aspects of the world with Madonna, Conan and Malcolm the dolphin lover. Lenny said he listened to that again and that came up once when he was hanging out with some people. He said that he was talking about how dolphins rape people and they got into an argument over it. He said they Googled it and there were pages and pages about how to have sex with a dolphin. He said the subject now haunts him. He said this guy made it worse. Jon said the guy was correcting Howard about things he was talking about. He said the guy took his dolphin knowledge seriously. Lenny said that he corrected him about saying ''fuck the dolphin'' to ''make love to...''
Jon said they have a poll up today. He had Rahsaan give the details of that. They're asking ''Who is more delusional, Sal or Ass Napkin Ed?'' today.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he was talking to a friend who said he doesn't listen to the Wrap UP Show anymore and they were talking about it jumping the shark. Jon said it has and he's just riding it out.. Jon said they have shifted the show's focus and they are changing things up. Lenny said he's pretty sure it jumped the shark today. Lenny said he has to talk even more about his show today. Lenny said this show hasn't jumped the shark. He said he likes that they do what they do on this show now. He said you get more of the behind the scenes stuff and it gives the fans more of a chance to call in. He said he thinks people should embrace it. Jon said they had to take a break after that.

Jon took a call from a guy who said he wanted to ask if Jon thought there was some sexual tension between Howard and Madonna. Jon said there was definitely tension but it may not have all been sexual. Jon said he thinks that Madonna was on the offensive for a bit of time. Jon said he thought the interview was great though. He said it's happening more and more on the show. Lenny said Howard gets people into a comfort zone and they just start talking. He said people realize that Howard is more respected now. He said that he treats people like they should be. He said he asks musicians about their songs and where they came from and things like that. He said he thinks people respect the hell out of that. He said the Sia interview blew his mind and he became obsessed with her after that. Lenny said people come out as Stern fans now because of that.
Jon said he thinks someone called in saying that the guest falls in love with Howard. He said that makes them forget that there are millions of people listening. Lenny said Howard has been doing this for 30-something years and he does his research. He said it happens during almost every interview when a guest will say that he knows more than they expected. He said he thinks that they respect that.
Lenny said he thinks Howard could get Tom Cruise to break down the Scientology thing if he ever came in. He said that's his dream scenario.
Jon took a call from a guy who said Sal is more delusional than Ass Napkin Ed. He also said he heard the Sal segment after Madonna today. He said he found it hypocritical because she was talking about how you move on to the afterlife but then Howard and Robin weren't open to Sal talking about it. He asked what their thoughts are. Jon said that is an interesting insight. He said Sal talked about levitating in his bed and he doesn't think that Madonna is going to say that she did that. Jon said he thinks Madonna is going to be treated differently than Sal Governale. Jon said that's just the way it goes there. Jon said Madonna also didn't say she was a turtle in her past life.
Jon asked Lenny if there is any hypocrisy there. Lenny said no. He said Sal has come a long way. He said he thinks that sometimes Sal will take the opposite opinion just to get in the studio. He said he's not sure if Madonna should get more respect. Jon said he thinks Benjy is the one who takes that opposite opinion. Lenny said maybe that's true. They went to break a short time later.

Jon took a call from a guy who said they were talking about throat clearing and it seems like other guests do it too. He wondered if there is something in the studio that's causing it. Jon said Gary's is 100 percent mental. He said Howard knows that and it makes it even worse. Lenny said Gary is mind fucked at this point. Jon said Larry David was clearing his throat and so was Conan. He said that there is a bit of an intimidation factor there with Howard. Lenny said maybe you get a little twinge in your throat. He said Howard also loves to bust Gary's balls. He said Gary doesn't get as much shit these days. He said it's part of the chemistry they have. He said it's definitely a mental thing. Jon said Gary will leave abruptly during the pre-show meeting and they all know why he's leaving. He said he can make things worse if he does that.
Jon took a call from a guy who said the show is hotter than ever with the guests. He said they are at a level like never before. He said he listens to the older shows and it wasn't like that. He asked what the tipping point was that made the show the must visit show. Jon said he thinks Lenny touched on something earlier. He said Howard is the place you want to do the interview at. He said people recognized the PR value of doing Howard. He said Lady Gaga was a big deal too. He said he'd have to think about that. Lenny said he was thinking about that too. He said he wondered if it was the Jimmy Kimmel friendship where Stern fans who were hiding all these years are coming out of the woodwork. He said now they're proud to be Howard fans. Lenny said this is the place where you can do an hour and 20 minute straight interview. He said people will worry about certain things but Howard is friends with Rosie O'Donnell now. He said he's not sure where it all started. He said it has to be at Sirius though.
Jon said Howard told Madonna that he has changed since the days when he would lash out at her. He said now he's embracing the standard bearer role. Jon said with Amy Poehler she was a big fan for a long time and she didn't want to do the show because she didn't think she could do a good interview. Lenny said he got to do a walk through of the studio the other day. He said as a fan of the show you don't want to suck. He said Howard has made him a fan of people he wasn't a fan of. He said other people see that and they're not afraid. He said Amy Poehler is a great example. He said he would love it if the Stern Fans could come up with the turning interview that made people change. Jon said he thinks the Gaga interview was one.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked if all of this is affecting Howard's decision on retirement. Jon said he doesn't think that's the make or break. He said if Howard enjoys what he's doing from day to day then maybe he won't walk away. Jon said AGT is that headache right now. Jon said he doesn't think Howard will do AGT beyond this season. He said he thought that last year too so what does he know. Jon said as long as Howard is happy at work he thinks he'll keep coming back. He said he doesn't think that it has to do with the guests he's interviewing. Lenny said he thinks that the AGT thing will be his last season. He said he likes that he did it. He said he thinks it will push Howard to say he just can't do it anymore. He thinks Howard will get the sense that he wants to do more without that hanging over his head. He said Howard is as popular as ever and he gets great guests and he thinks he would like to check a few more big guests off his list. Jon said Howard has said he isn't going to do both AGT and the radio show again. Jon said he's hoping he keeps doing the radio show.
Jon went to Rahsaan with the poll results. Rahsaan said that 70 percent voted that Sal is more delusional than Ass Napkin Ed. Jon said that's a statement. Lenny said he loves Ed. He said he was ready to jump from mayor to mayor. He said he'd go with Sal being more delusional too. He said Ed may be more insane.
Jon wrapped up and got in some plugs for today's Sternthology. He played a little clip of Dave Lampert and Raven riding the Sybian since that's part of today's Sternthology. Jon gave Lenny a plug for his show and ended the Wrap Up Show around 11:35am.
Today's special was over around 10:55am
Jon said they have a poll up today too. He had Rahsaan give the details for that Rahsaan said they're asking ''What award do you think means the most to Howard?'' The choices are:
Jon said he thinks that's a great question. He said Howard took such pride in the best hair award. He said that he also liked the Most F'able Man in America. He said he thinks the hair award means the most to him. Rahsaan said he thinks the most fuckable man in America award might mean the most to him.
Jon said they had some dream guests on the show today. He said they had Hall and Oates and Dan Aykroyd. He said they had a lot of other things thrown in there today too. Jon said there is a lot to talk about.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he'd like to play the trivia game. He asked to be put back on hold. The caller said the interviews Howard does today are so much more in depth. He asked if it has to do with Howard or with the guys doing more research. Jon said he thinks it's both. He said Howard has gotten better at it as time has progressed and people give up more now than they did in the past.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he wanted to talk about Sal's racist comments and how he does the big apology. He said he and his friends use those comments as a joke. He said Sal has to be closest to Wack Pack on the staff. Jon asked if he thinks Sal is a racist. The caller said not in a hurtful way. He said that he does make judgments on people based on their race. Jon said he doesn't think he's hateful either. He said he made some good points there. Jon asked if he wanted to play trivia later. The caller said no thanks to that.
Jon asked if you can be a racist but not a hateful racist. Jon said that's a good question they should think about. They went to break after that.

Jon took a call from a guy who asked who Jon thinks Howard is most interested in having back who were on for the first time this year. Jon said maybe Malcolm the dolphin lover. Jon said Madonna for sure. The caller said he thinks it's Dan Aykroyd. He said he's such an icon and he is an influence on Howard's career. The caller said he thinks Howard missed something. He said Dan was doing his Coneheads voice and said something really funny. Jon said they didn't get into a lot of things with him. He said that there's a likeness to Fred too. He said he felt like Dan and Fred speak the same way and things like that. The caller agreed.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked if he thinks Sal has always been a racist. Jon said he and Rahsaan were talking about that in the break. He said Rahsaan said that you can be ignorant and a racist but not hateful Rahsaan explained what he was talking about and how you hope that when they mature they might admit they're wrong. Jon asked if the caller has sensed that in Sal. The caller said no. Jon put him on hold to play trivia later.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked if Howard was a fan of Hall and Oates later in their career or early on. Jon said Gary was a fan throughout and maybe he influenced Howard a little bit. He said that Howard might also just like Daryl's voice. The caller said they are good musicians no matter what. He said he thought the interview was good either way.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he's not a Hall and Oates fan but he became one today after hearing the interview. He asked if they have ever thought of doing a box set of all of the songs that have been performed on the show. Jon said they have but there's a rights issue. He said they would have to get permission to put something like that out and it won't happen. He said they will have a music special coming up on Memorial Day Weekend though.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he thinks the best award Howard has won is the best hair. He also said that he thinks George Clooney gets it and he's friendly with Howard. He asked if he would ever come in for an interview. Jon said Clooney was on a long time ago but he's not sure if he'd come in now. Jon said Clooney might not want to come in if things are going to get too personal. Jon said he wouldn't bank on it happening.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked what the future holds for people like Jason, Will, JD and everybody if Howard decides to hang it up at the end of the year. Jon said this is pure speculation on his part but if Howard doesn't re-sign then they may have the Howard Stern library there and maybe they could work on that. He said maybe Howard will move on to another venture and they could stay with him there. Jon said Benjy has been writing for the show for a long time and he thinks he could get interviews at places based on that. He said Richard can drum. He said Sal might try stand up and he thinks he could do pretty well. He said JD has experience pulling clips for Howard and he can see him doing that for another show. Jon said they all have skills that go beyond the Howard Stern Show. Jon said they'll see what happens if that day comes. He said he hopes Howard tells them ahead of time if he does decide to leave. They went to break a short time later.

Jon started off with Greg and asked him the first question about last week's show. Jon asked what Justin Bieber did to David Arquette to make him pop him in the nuts. Greg said he flipped a bottle cap at his head. He was right. Then Jon played a Fred drop and asked who said it. It was someone yelling ''Shut up!'' over and over. Greg didn't know that one.
Jon got Tom on the phone next. He asked him about last week's show. He asked what L.A. hotel Howard didn't go to because of Sharia law. Tom didn't know that one.
Jon got Teddy on the phone next. He asked what item Dr. Leila admitted she would bring with her to Mars. Her vibrator was the right answer. Jon played a clip of someone singing to Robin. The caller got that one wrong.
Jon moved on to Anthony next. Jon asked him ''In the game ''What does Howard Dread the most'' what did Howard pick as the winner? Anthony got that one wrong when he said ''taking a flight.''
Jon took a call from Dan and asked him who Hanzi thought Howard sent to Wrestlemania instead of him. Jeff the Drunk was the right answer. Jon played a Fred drop and it was from the Three Stooges with someone saying ''Calling Dr. Howard...'' Dan didn't know that one.
Jon moved on to Corey next. Jon asked him who called in to defend Mariann from Brooklyn when she was arguing with Hanzi. Bobo was the right answer. Jon played a drop for Corey and it was Paris Hilton saying ''That's huge.'' Jon said he's up to the final round. He asked Corey ''Which New Jersey governor named a rest stop after Howard Stern?'' Corey said it was a woman but he doesn't know her name. He got that one wrong so Jon had to let him go.
Jon took a call from Doug and asked him ''What did Ralph forget to do that upset Howard when it came to his clothing?'' Doug didn't know.
Jon took a call from Steve but Steve wasn't there. He took a call from Mike next. Jon asked him about which Wack Pack couple broke up. Big Foot and Danielle was the right answer. Jon played a clip of Wendy the Retard saying she wanted to slap herself. Mike got that one right. Jon said he's up to the final question. Jon asked him what the name of Robin's current assistant is. Mike said it's Captain Dennis and got it right. Jon said he is a winner. He said his grand prize is a signed picture from himself, Gary, JD and also Sal and Richard. Jon thanked him for playing and put him on hold.
Jon said they always go deep. He said when the light shines on them they must get nervous. Jon said before they end the show they'll get the poll results. Rahsaan gave the results of the poll which were:
Jon got in some plugs for today's Sternthology and gave the correct answers for the questions that the fans missed. They were done around 11:40am.
Today's special was over around 10:55am.
Jon said Gary is a die hard Mets and Jets fan and he'll always stand by them. He said he thinks there is something to be said for that. Robert said it reminds you of home. He said rooting for your team makes you think about your family and growing up.
Jon played a ''What You Need to Know'' about today's show. Jon asked if there's anything that Ronnie doesn't have a tip for. He said he wants to talk about their poll today too. He said they're asking ''What are you looking forward to on Monday?'' Jon asked what their choices are for that. Rahsaan said the choices are:
Jon asked Robert what he's looking forward to the most. Robert said Gary clearing his throat is what he's looking forward to. He said that's always good radio. He said it's fascinating to him. He said he wants to talk to Gary and get to know why he has that problem when Howard is around. Jon said Gary kind of over thinks things. He said Gary over thought that pitch he had. He said the mind is a powerful thing. He said he doesn't need to clear his throat but it's a psychosomatic thing. Robert said they got a lot of mileage out of that pitch. Jon said he remembers talking to Gary after it and he was devastated. He said Gary said he'd be alright if it didn't get on Sportscenter. Then they got a hold of it and didn't let it go. Jon said they were pretty brutal with it. Robert said that 50 Cent's first pitch was worse than Gary's. He said that at least he has that to think about. Jon said Gary wins and loses with that. He said they bring up his pitch when they compare bad first pitches. Jon wondered if Gary could ever get past that. Rahsaan said he doesn't think he could even if he threw a perfect pitch. Robert said he'd love to see him get another chance. He said he has an affection for Gary as a member of the show and he'd love to see him get that chance at redemption. Jon said they'll see what happens with that. He went to break after that.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked if they find that when Benjy forgets he's supposed to doing shtick that he's a good contributor and he's funny. He said he can tell when he's doing that and he's not trying to be an asshole. Jon said he thinks when he plays it straight it is good. He said that he doesn't need to act wacky to be good on the air. He said it's like the difference between being funny and trying to be funny. Robert said it is great radio but at the same time it's almost too good. He said it's so raw and so unfiltered. He said you're listening to the dissolution of a relationship on radio. He said when you get caught up in the vortex he tunes out. He said when he's talking as a normal person it's good radio. He doesn't think he needs all of that extracurricular stuff.
Jon took a call from a guy who said that the show is all about integrity and when Benjy is on it pulls away from the show and being honest. He said when Benjy is being ''real'' he can't believe it. He said he thinks that she'd fall behind the others. The caller said he'd go with Benjy or Sal. He said Benjy would be number 1. He said the clip they played today shows why. The caller asked what Robert's take is on that and the prank Benjy and Elisa tried to pull on Roger Goodell. Robert said Benjy has contributed a lot of things like that on the show and they're great. He said that he laughed when they did the Goodell stuff. He said it made for great radio too.
Robert said he would love to know how Elisa got on the show as a contributor. He said he'd also love to know how it all ended. Jon said Benjy made a big deal out of that whole thing when she came on board. Jon said he believes they are broken up but who really knows. He said if you ask either one of them they can't answer the question. He said that's part of the vortex that is Benjy and Elisa. They went to break after that.
