Howard started the show talking about how nice the studio he's in is. He said he has to congratulate them on the nice new studios. Howard said he wishes they were home. He said they're out here in L.A. because SiriusXM Pandora wanted them to be. He said they went out to dinner last night to Spago. He said Fred just killed the music. He asked why he did that. Fred said he usually gets upset with it. Howard said he is miserable out there.

Howard said he heard some stuff about other people who work on the show. He said Ronnie is out there perving up Los Angeles. He said they were supposed to start the show at 8 but he figured he's start it early since they were all there anyway. He said they might as well do it. Jimmy said it's almost 7 by now. Howard said that's right. He said he's used to eating at 5. He asked if Jimmy was worried about him at that point. Jimmy said not for that. Howard said his parents want to live forever and they hate being alive.
Howard said when they were out there in Tennessee they had to go to a different area. He said he was going to go in a car and the rest of the people were going to go in golf carts. He said he just wanted to get there to eat. He said the golf carts go slow. He said he had to get to dinner and they were all moving slowly. Robin said they're not going to eat until they call get there. Howard said he knows but he just wanted to go.
Jimmy said he's not worried so much for Howard now but in 5 or 10 years it's going to be different. He said he won't want to leave his house. Howard said Beth doesn't like leaving the house either.
Howard said he likes to sit next to Jimmy at dinner. He said he wants to talk to other people but Jimmy kept getting moved. He said they took Jimmy away from him. He said they all sat down and now dinner was another 2 and a half hours. He said Jimmy saw he was bumming out and he turned to him and said this is what people do. He said they enjoy extending the meal and drinking. He said he was looking at him like he was speaking Chinese. He said the whole dinner was 5 fucking hours. Robin said people get together because they want to get together. Howard said he tolerates fun for 2 hours. He said 5 hours he complains.
Jimmy said he heard he was up late one night before they got there. Howard said he was. He said they didn't tell him that he was showing up a day later. He said he didn't want to be there. He said he was so upset. He said he had a great time out there. He said he was invited to other weekends and stuff. He said he knows he's just not fun at this point. Jimmy said that's not true. He said people worry about him. Howard said he doesn't want that.
Howard said he was a good sport. He said he was wearing his snake boots. Jimmy said they got the report about the snake thing and he heard Howard didn't want to go and then he didn't want to go. He said he heard Howard's reason and he was thinking the same thing.
Jimmy said he ordered snake boots but they still haven't shown up. Howard said he should have told him because he had an extra pair. Howard said he went on a hike with Beth and wore his once. He said he hated that hike because it was all down hill. He said he looked like Michael Jackson in the Bad Video when he was wearing those boots.
Howard said he likes going out with Jimmy and Molly. Jimmy said he should get out more. Howard said his shrink told him he should have gone to Italy.
Howard said he's doing Jimmy's show on Wednesday. He said if he doesn't want him on then he doesn't have to do it. Howard said he is doing the Ellen show on Thursday. He said he thinks he's the only guest. He said he's doing 4 segments over there. He said he told the guy what he wanted to talk about and he didn't seem to thrilled about it.
Howard asked what he wants from him on Wednesday. Jimmy said whatever he wants. Howard said he doesn't want to come off like he's just there to promote the book. He said he's there to do that to get the word out about the book for Christmas. Howard said he doesn't need an agenda then. Jimmy said he doesn't.
Howard said he thinks that Jimmy doesn't like talking about meeting Molly. He said he thought that he might be gay for a while. Robin said he was on the Man Show. Jimmy said on a scale of 10 he's at about a 6 compared to Ronnie at a 10. Howard said Molly is a very attractive woman. He said she has good ideas and she's hot. Jimmy said she's a lot of fun too. He said he might do it with the Rolling Stones. He asked if he's ever interviewed any of them. Jimmy said he did meet Keith Richards a couple of years ago. He said he went over and said he can't believe that Keith Richards wants to talk to him. Howard asked if he understood him because he seems to mumble. Jimmy said that Shaq is like that unless he's into talking to you. He said when you're talking to Keith he's speaking clearly. He said when someone isn't into being talked to then they might mumble.
Howard said Joaquin Phoenix was good with Jimmy the other night. Jimmy said people don't know what to make of him and they seem to think he was springing stuff on him but it was all set up. Howard asked if he liked the Joker movie. Jimmy said he did think there were a lot of good things about it. Howard said he didn't like there was no Batman in it. Jimmy said when Howard sees it he'll see what he didn't love about it.
Howard asked Jimmy about what he did with Bill Gates. Jimmy said on the last day of work for Bill they had people come in to roast him. He said he roasted Bill Gates on his last day of work. He said they had a bunch of people who work for Microsoft there. He said it was a disaster. He said Bill did not like it. He said he insisted that he be on stage with him. He said you want to see people laughing. He said the roastee was not laughing. He said not even a little bit. Howard asked who said to him that he wanted to be roasted. Jimmy said he did want to be roasted. He said maybe he didn't know what a roast was. Howard said they say horrible things about you. He said he doesn't get roasted because he can't take it. Jimmy said neither could Bill Gates. He said he did say thank you to ''the comedian'' at the end of it. Jimmy said he was furious at the end of the night. He said he bombed and the only person laughing was Steve Balmer who was laughing like a maniac. He said they had like 5 cameras shooting this thing and the tapes may have been destroyed. Howard asked if gates came up to thank him. Jimmy said he didn't but if he did he's not sure what he would have done. He said he was convinced by his writers to do this. He said he didn't think he should. Howard said lucky he wasn't beheaded. Jimmy said he would laugh his ass off if he saw him sweating up there. Howard said it sounds like it was hysterical.
Howard asked if he yelled at someone for booking him. Jimmy said no because he could see that person was in trouble too. Howard said Jimmy is too good a guy. He said he does nice things for people. He said he likes what Gates does but he would never do that. Jimmy said he was flattered by the invite. He said he thought the guy might be into him somehow. Howard said he should have shoved him in a locker and locked the door.
Jimmy said that this was a retirement thing. He said it was only top level people from Microsoft there. Howard said he was asked to do something for someone famous. He said they wanted him to come and do something and his agent wrote them back ''no'' immediately. He said he doesn't want to do stuff. He said he doesn't want to ruin their event. He said Jimmy goes to everything. He said he does too much. Jimmy said he announced that Howard would be on the show on Thursday. He said he said Howard loves to travel and have fun and everyone laughed.
Howard did his mother's voice talking about how Jimmy does too much. He had his parents talking about Jimmy and Jimmy told him that's where he's headed. Howard said he knows that and that worries him.
Howard said someone told him he should ask Jimmy what annoys him most about Howard. He said he was asked what annoys him about Jimmy. He said nothing really annoys him about Jimmy. He said even Robin knows to stay away from him. He said they had dinner last night and he was fine though. Robin said he was good.
Howard said the one thing that disturbs him about Jimmy is that he had a late night with David Letterman license plate. He said that's not normal. He said that's not like him. He said he didn't work at Letterman's show. Jimmy said no one even knew what the plate meant. He said not only did he have that but every book cover he had was a Late Night with David Letterman cover. Howard said he's a fan of Dave's but he wouldn't have that on his license plate. He said it doesn't jive with what he knows about Jimmy.
Jimmy said he saw a guy with a Hit 'em with the Hein shirt and he wanted to go up to him and grab a hold of him. He said this was in the airport on his way to Tennessee.
Jimmy said when he had the Letterman stuff on it no one was watching Letterman. He said he saw a Larry Bud Melman shirt on a guy when he was riding with his mom and told her to stop. He said he went over to ask the guy where he got it and the guy said he made it himself. Howard asked if he hears from Letterman at all. Jimmy said once in a while he does.
Howard said their fist guest is there to welcome them to L.A. He said he has to take a break first. He said he hopes Jimmy sticks around. Jimmy said he will do whatever he wants.
Howard said as a tribute to Ginger Baker who passed away he's going to play some Cream. He said he was a great drummer. He said that they're going to play this song and then get to the next guest. They played ''Sunshine of Your Love.''

He said you get older and that happens.
Howard said he has wanted to talk to him about this. He said he has been in shape in his life but at this age he has the desire but he can't do it. He said he goes to the gym and works out and the next day he can't turn his head. He said it hurts that much. He asked what's happening to him. Arnold said your body doesn't recuperate as fast as it used to. He said you have to work through it. He told Howard how he works out and it doesn't matter how old he is. He said he will do this until he's in the grave.
Arnold asked if anyone has welcomed him to Los Angeles. Howard said not yet. Arnold said he'll do that now. He said that this is a wonderful place. Howard said it's silly that he's doing that. He said he can do the show in New York. Arnold said he was ecstatic when he heard he was coming. ]Howard said he's a great guy for doing that for him. He said he's up early for him. Arnold said they love him. He said he loves doing interviews with Howard. He said the reaction from the people is great. He said Howard is a great interviewer. He said Howard always asks the right questions. He said he has developed this whole thing and he sounds great. He said it's such a pleasure to listen to them talk because it's so natural. He said that's how you talk when you're hanging out.
Howard asked if he plays chess. Arnold said he dos but he's not very good. Howard said he wants to play against him.
Howard said he wrote about Arnold in his book. He said he relates to him because of their insane drive to be known to the world. Howard said he feels they both have that need to be seen. Arnold said he thinks all three of them have that drive. Jimmy said not like these two but he does have some.
Howard asked what it is. Arnold said they both want to shoot for the top. He said when he was getting into acting he wanted to be a leading man and be the highest paid person. He said why shoot for something little? He said he wanted to be the best body builder of all time too. Howard asked if body building is as big as it used to be. He said it's not mainstream now. Arnold said you don't hear much about it. He said there are no personalities out there running with it. He said back in his day there were a couple of guys like him. He said there were people exploding the sport. He said it's much bigger now and people are making $1 million cash prizes. He said he was getting like 1000.

He said 2 days after a celebration he was a walking down a beach and fell over and died from a heart attack. Howard asked if the weight has something to do with that. He said they say that amount of muscle can affect your life. Arnold said anything you do can affect your life. He said it makes no difference if you lift weights or not. He said people were born with heart problems. He said his mother and her mother had heart problems. He said he had a heart problem and he was going to get a valve put in. He said they put in a human valve so he could keep doing what he was doing. He said he had to have it replaced a few years ago. He said many things can lead to heart problems.
Howard said that Arnold stopped eating so much eat because of that. Arnold said he had to cut back. He said he's not 100 percent vegan but maybe 70-80 percent. He said he still eats some meat occasionally. He said it's not as much as he used to.
Howard asked Arnold about the environment because he felt like in the past republicans were for that. Arnold said he's an old style republican. He said he stays true to those principles. He said that Ronald Reagan was trying to clean their air. He said that California is the leading place in the world for clean air. He said they can take care of the environment and the economy at the same time. Howard said he heard he met that girl Greta. Arnold said he did meet her. He said he loves when people have balls. He said this girl said she's not going to school and went out to protest. He said that in Sweden they're doing a lot for the environment and she still protested there. He said she's out there protesting to protect her generation. He said she's protesting and got a lot of attention. He said now the media is writing about the environment. He said she's a great speaker.
Howard asked why the politicians are against her. Arnold said they go after her but she's brilliant and a sweetheart. He said she's very passionate about her cause. He said she's getting people to protest with her. Howard said you have to admire that. Arnold said politics is a dirty job. He said that he's not a fan of politicians. He said when he argues with people about electric cars he tells them they should have two rooms, one with a gasoline powered car running and one with electric. He said they start the cars and last in the room for an hour. He said that's how he talks about the environment.
Howard asked Arnold about what he's doing with Terminator. Arnold said it's coming out November 1st. He said overseas it's coming out earlier. Howard asked if he's happy with it. Arnold said he is. He said he's also happy that Paramount has learned to promote it. He said that they gave the story away last time. He said this time they have learned from that. He said this year he has called once or twice to suggest something to them. He said they're rolling out the promotion in a good way this time. He said he's very happy about it. He said people are looking forward to seeing the movie. Howard said he's not revealing the whole thing this time. Howard said we don't know what's going to be. Arnold said we learn that the Terminator in Terminator 1 was a machine. In the second one he was more human and looked funnier. He said in this one he has hung out with human beings for 20 years so he's half human and half machine.
Howard asked if Jim Cameron was involved. Arnold said he was involved an Linda Hamilton was too. He said they have other actors in it too. He said it's fantastic. He said Tim Miller directed that and Deadpool. He said he's so good with visual effects. Howard asked how long it takes to film that. Arnold said it was about 5 and a half months. He said the action you can do now is amazing.
Howard asked if they sent him the script and he had to believe in it. Arnold said you always do that. He said Jim Cameron created the story and he picked the writers. He said he was happy about that. He said to have him back was important to him. He said Linda Hamilton is bad ass too. He said she got back into shape and it's extraordinary. He said the movie is out on November 1st and he's excited about it.
Howard asked if he has ever gone to Comic-Con before. Arnold said he has. He said he has done it free and for pay. He said it's fun to do. He said that's like Jimmy doing the Michelle Obama interview thing to get her to come on his show. He said it's great that he did that. He said nothing is really free.
Arnold said you'll never see any politicians smoking stogies. He said he used to have a smoking tent and everyone would come and smoke there. He said they want to show a certain kind of image.
Howard asked what he thinks is going to happen with Trump and this Ukraine thing. Arnold said he really doesn't know enough about it. He said he thinks that when he was governor he was thinking about one thing, not his party but what is best for the people. He said he saw that they wanted infrastructure so they built things. He said when they saw they needed after school programs they created them. He said he didn't ask about it being republican issues or not. He said he was doing the best things for the people. He said you should never be a party hack. He said you should be a person for the people.
Howard asked if he ever runs into Trump. Arnold said occasionally. He said Trump was trying to be helpful with things in the past. He said he can't go along with some of the things he's for now. He said he would love to endorse him but he told him he couldn't because he was trying to bring coal back. He said that he voted for John Casich. Howard asked who he thinks he'll vote for this time. Arnold said he has to see who is looking out for the people. Howard asked if he would vote for Trump. Arnold said he doesn't think so. Arnold said that we have problems. He said there is no one who comes to him and asks him to get to some place other than America. He said everyone wants to come to America. He said no one is asking to get to Russia, China, Africa or anyplace like that. He said America is where people want to come.
Howard said he heard he wanted to do a sequel to Twins where they find out Eddie Murphy is their third brother. Howard asked if they're still working on that. Arnold said they are in the writing stage. He said their mutual friend has been dragging his feet on it. He said that's Ivan Reitman. Howard said it can be paralyzing when you don't want to screw with something so great. Arnold said they have some great stories and he can't wait to do it. He said Eddie will be hilarious in it. He said it would be great to have a black guy in the mix. He said he thinks it's funny.
Howard said he wants to bring back Conan the Barbarian again too. Howard said that's when he met Arnold the first time. He said he talked to him in the bathroom. He said that he can't do that with people when he's peeing. He said Arnold was shitting and asking ''How are you boys?''
Howard said he can't pee in front of people. He said he saw Arnold's penis in Pumping Iron. He said he can't pee because he can't whip it out like Arnold does. He said that you have to have a big one to do that.
Howard said he likes that Arnold's girlfriend is a physical therapist. Arnold said he met her when he had shoulder problems. He said he had injuries from stunts and skiing accidents. He said when you have a life like they have and then it's just over, it pisses him off.
Howard asked where they go after they die. Arnold said you go six feet under and that's it. He said hopefully there's a life after this. He said it's not going to be like this. He said he's not going to sit there having laughs and interviews in the after life. He said it will be different. He said maybe God will be there smacking them for saying 4 letter words. He said he can't stand it. He said he's angry about it. Howard said he is too. He asked if there's something they can do. Arnold said they're the only two who want to live forever. Howard said his parents sit in an apartment and death can't find them in there.
Howard said he wants to thank Arnold for welcoming him to L.A. He said he will be there to see Terminator Dark Fate on November 1st. He said he doesn't like his message about death but he has to thank him for doing this for him. He said tell all your friends he's there.
Howard asked what he's going to do today. Arnold said he got up early and he's going to go home and do some work around the house. He said he has a lot of things to get done. Howard wrapped up with Arnold and went to break after that.

Howard said not only is Adam there to welcome them to L.A. but James Valentine is there. He said he's a guitar player and they're going to do a new song. Howard said they have done new songs before. Adam said they're doing a brand new Maroon 5 song. He said they're barely getting along now.
Howard said they have a lot to cover today. He asked what happened with The Voice. Adam said it's a weird thing. He said he has been asked that a couple of times. Adam said he was ready to not do it anymore. He said it's been that way for a little bit. He said it felt right to get out. He said it felt good to walk away at that time.
Howard said he read that Adam was pissed off because he didn't have any of his people in the finals and he didn't think he should be there for the finale. Adam said it had nothing to do with that. He said for 8 and a half years he was so busy with that and the band. He said he was fortunate to be able to be on the show. He said it was life altering. He said he enjoyed it. He said then it got to the point where he had two kids and got married and he wanted to spend time with them. Howard said he gets that. He said he'd like to spend time with his wife too. Adam said that she's a great mom and he's very much in love. Howard said he's in love with Behati too. Howard asked if Jimmy has seen her. Jimmy said he has.
Jimmy asked who is going to braid his hair on the road. Adam said he has that lined up. Adam said he brought in some ''Save the rhinos'' hats for Howard. He said that they're looking to stop the rhinos from being poached. He said he doesn't know all the details so he won't pretend to be an expert on it. Howard said his wife is behind that. Adam said she's from Namibia so she grew up there and that's a passion she discovered recently. He said he's really proud of her for that.
Howard said he has to get behind Behati with that. Jimmy said if she was shooting Rhinos he'd be behind her on that too. Howard said he's probably right about that.
Adam said he thinks Howard and Jimmy have a great friendship. He said they go away together. Howard said it's not that great. He said he's not that fun to be around. Jimmy kept bringing up the hot water Howard was drinking. Howard said he told him to keep that a secret. Jimmy said he told him to try this great hot water he was drinking but it's just hot water. Howard laughed pretty hard at that.
Howard asked if he has been sitting at home lately. Adam said he has and he fucking loves it. He said he has a lot of free time. He said his first child just started preschool. He said he got to go with her to get that started. Howard asked if the band has been out at all. Adam said not that much. He said he has a whole gap in the schedule.
Howard said he left The Voice kind of abruptly. He asked what happened. Adam said his contract was up. Howard said he also heard he didn't do a great job at an Up Fronts thing. Adam said he wasn't doing that well that day. He said he wasn't on the top of his game. Howard said you're allowed to do that. Adam said he just went to the up fronts twice. He said everyone knows how awkward they are. Jimmy said they may not know. He said there's a group of advertisers there and the cast from these shows are there to meet them.
Adam said he did the up fronts the first year after the show was a hit. He said they were back stage and they were in their Voice chairs. He said the chairs turned around and it was just very weird. He said they were silent and just sitting there. He said they didn't have anything to say so they just said okay, bye. He said Blake wasn't there that day so it was him and Christina and Cee-Lo. He said it was just very strange.
Howard asked if he has to be friends with Blake now. Adam said he is friends with him. He said he's a good guy. Howard asked if he watches the show now. Adam said he never did and he still doesn't. Howard said he doesn't watch America's Got Talent either. Adam said he has moved on from the show. He said that it was just over and no big deal. Howard said he must have given up a lot of money. Adam said he did but he's good. He said he feels good about all of it. Howard asked Jimmy if he should have left. Jimmy said it sounds like he wasn't having much fun there. He said he can't leave his body alone. He said he seems to have a lot of tattoos. He asked if he has a tattoo on his penis. Adam said he does but he was joking about that. Howard said he's a good looking dude and he would never ruin his look with tattoos. He asked what he thinks about these people who get face tattoos. Adam said some of it looks cool but why do that to your face?
Howard said the guys are going to do a song and he has always been a big fan of theirs. Howard asked if they wrote this while he was off. Adam said they co-write together and they are always figuring stuff out. He said there are songs that speak to you in a moment. He said that a bunch of the guys in the band helped write this one. Howard said he likes this show ''Song Land'' that he's producing. He said it's song writers pitching songs to well known people. Adam said the way they do the show is very authentic. He said it's a real show. He said he can verify that.
Howard asked about this song that he's going to perform. Adam said someone came to them with a song with one line and a riff and he took that and kept going with it. He said it feels like something that they can do. He said they've be doing it for so long that they can listen to things around them. He said they're older now and they don't write about heartbreak and being sad and things. Howard asked why here are no more protest songs. Adam said they're really hard. He said he thinks that in a way it's a self sabotaging thing. He said in the 60s it was so special. He said it was being done by amazing artists and to try and recreate that feels phony. He said you can't set out to have a song that's going to change he world. He said that isn't how they're going to get to the next spot.
Howard asked what this song is called. Adam said it's called ''Memories.'' He said he knows there are other songs with the same name but this was the only title it could be. Howard asked what the song is about. Adam said it's for everyone. He said they lost their manager recently so this is all very raw. He said the song is something that everyone can share. He said it's about loss and celebrating them too. Howard had the guys perform their song a short time later.
After the song Howard said he loved that. He said it was beautiful. He asked if he thinks about his manager actively. Adam said he does. He said you have to embrace everything the song is about when you perform it. He said it's important to convey that to people. He said when he sings about something that happened in his life in the past he thinks about other things. He said he wont think about an old girlfriend or anything.
Howard asked if he was thinking about his manager and seeing his face. Adam said he was and he was thinking about how it's bullshit that he's not there anymore. He said it was something that didn't need to happen.
Howard said that song was very catchy too. He said it was very good. Howard asked if his manager would tell them not to do the Adam Sandler Bat Mitzvah. Adam laughed and said maybe he would have. Howard asked why he would do that event. Adam said they are friends and it wasn't a cold call. He said he wasn't going to say no to him because he knows he loves him. He said it wasn't formal. He said it was a week or two before the Bat Mitzvah. He said it was funny because he had just left The Voice. He said he texted him and he said why not. He said they asked him to sing a song or two and not a big deal.
Howard asked if James was there too. James said he was and it was great because he got introduced to Dustin Hoffman and people like that. Howard wrapped up with the guys and thanked them for coming in. Howard said the song is available where songs are sold. Jimmy said he's leaving with the boys. Howard asked if he has anything to say before he leaves. Jimmy said he will see him on Wednesday night. Howard gave him a plug for Crank Yankers which is back. Jimmy said they did it for Adam.
Robin said she watched the All in the Family Episode and Jeffersons and it was great to see that. She asked why they darkened Wanda Sykes skin. Jimmy said ''what?'' He said they didn't do that. Howard asked if Robin is making stories up. Robin said she thought she looked so dark. Howard went to break a short time later.

Howard asked if he would feel weird if he was staring at him. Robert said he feels like he is all the time.
Robert said hi to Robin who wasn't isolated. He said he's not sure why they didn't do that. He asked what the temperature is in there. Howard said he's cold. Robin was comfortable. Howard said he's cold all the time. Robert said this is why L.A. is good for him.
Howard asked if they can say what happened in the last movie. He said everyone has seen it at this point. He said he's going to say it. Robert said don't worry about it because if someone hasn't seen it then they have something else going on. Howard said he didn't get to see the movie in the theaters. He said he heard about what happened. Howard said in the comic books they kill off characters and bring them back. Robert said he grew up in that era.
Howard asked if he had an altercation in the green room. Robert said it gives them something to talk about. He said the green room is outside. He said he and Robin should take some meetings. He said he doesn't like this maybe you're coming back or not.
Howard asked Robert if he feels it's over or not over for Iron Man. He said he's so damn good at it. He said his portrayal of Iron Man is the thing. He said it's a huge money maker. Robert said he didn't expect it to become what it became. He said its' a multi headed hydra at this point. He said it's not cinema according to Martin Scorsese. Howard asked what he meant by that. Robert said he appreciates that opinion. He said they have to come to center and move on. Howard asked if he was upset with him saying that. Robert said it's like saying Howard Stern isn't radio. He said it doesn't make sense to say it. Robert said when you come in like a stomping beast and eliminate the competition it's phenomenal. Howard said maybe that's why Martin is so upset about it. Robert asked if Howard thinks Martin is really upset about Marvel movies. Howard said yes he does. He said he is the guy archiving old films. Robert said he's archiving his dad's old films.
Howard asked if he was ever nominated for an Oscar for Iron Man. Robert said no. Howard said he is a great character and he should have been. Robert said he is much more like Howard than he would believe. He said he agrees with many of his opinions. He said he loves that he sees things in his way. He said his point of view on Marvel movies is that they had their own reward but he's not looking for the Academy to recognize that. Howard asked why Tony Stark is any different than Chaplain.
Howard said he was in Back to School. He said people forget that. Robert said that burns him up. Howard asked if he enjoyed working with Rodney Dangerfield. Robert said it was great. He said he was such a champion for other comedians. He said when he met him for the first time he met him in an apartment. He said he doesn't know why he had to meet him but he did. He said he was there in a robe and the robe falls open when he hopes the door. He said he had massive kiwis. Howard asked if he had a big penis. Robert said he doesn't remember. He said the first words he said to him were ''You mind if I smoke some shit?'' He said of course he didn't.

Howard asked if he was a phenomenal student. Robert said no. Howard said he heard his dad sent him weed at summer camp. Robert said that's not true.
Howard asked if he looks at the rest of the world and thinks everyone is stupid. Robert said it has nothing to do with intelligence. He said he feels he's functioning at a deficit. Howard said he must be able to grasp things better than him. Robert said he's sure he just had a good day the day he took that IQ test.
Howard said he wants to remember Rodney for a moment. He said he got that movie Back to School. He said he went to visit Rodney and he's always in a robe. He said that's the story he hears all the time. Robert said he herd that's what Colin Farrell does too.
Howard asked if he smoked weed with Rodney. Robert said he didn't. He said Rodney did. He said he doesn't recall much other than the cojones.
Howard asked how it was working on Back to School. Robert said it was great. He said the movie was a period piece and everything was awesome when he was working back then. He said they were shooting some scene in Madison, Wisconsin and Rodney said he felt like his ankle was hurt and he wasn't going to make it to work the next day. He said he asked him to show up so they had something they could shoot.
Howard said the Iron Man movie did really well. He said he got back end on that. He said that must have been a $75 million payday. Robert said he will tell him off the air and it'll blow his mind. He said the movie made $2.2 billion. Robert said everyone gets it wrong when they write about it.
Howard asked Robert about doing something with Amazon. Robert said there was this group who said they could clean up the environment pretty quickly if people started doing it immediately. He said they have a good concept. Howard asked if they can get the plastic out of the ocean. Robert said yes. He said the plastic floating island in the ocean isn't hurting things but the micro plastics are. He said they have to teach and old dog new tricks. He said they have something called the Footprint coalition and that will launch next year. He said they're going to get started on this. Robin said Iron Man is on it. Howard said maybe he's thinking he's really Tony Stark now. Robert said saving the world is a phrase that has become cheapened. He said his reward at the end of this 12 year journey has made him realize that he should do something and use the science behind what got him there.
Howard asked if he got into a fight in the green room. Robert said he didn't. He said that you think New York is the place for assholes. Robert L.A. is great but there are some people there. He said he shaved his head last night and it's very anonymizing. He said this little nebishy big wig told him he was in the way. He said the guy asked him who the fuck he was. He said this green room is outside. Howard said he's gracious enough to come in there and this person is giving him an issue. He said no one recognized him with this hair cut. He said that he might have to keep this look. Howard said it's a double edged sword.
Robert said that someone was blocking the view out there in the green room. He said that's what led to this incident. Howard said he got taste of not being Robert Downey Jr. Robert said he was out there and they're there visiting and some people think that they own the place. Howard asked if there were fisticuffs at all. Robert said not at all. He said his blood boiled for a minute. Howard asked if there were words. Robert said he told the person who he was and how he was Howard's next guest. He said that person will remain nameless. He said he did apologize and sometimes there are incidents where you blow things out of proportion.
Howard asked if he's some kind of kung fu expert. Robert said he is an enthusiast. He said he made black belt at 50. Howard asked if you have to fight someone to get that black belt. Robert said you do. He said his instructor is a very gifted guy. Howard asked how long you have to study. Robert said it was about 10 years for him. Howard asked if he has had to use those skills to fight anyone. Robert said he hasn't and if he dos he will only use them in defense.
Howard said he has a lot of things in the works now. He asked if he's happy to be out of the Marvel universe now. Robert said he had a lot of fun doing that stuff. He said he's not sad but there's this thing where you think about how we're here to do something. Howard said he has to be feeling some emotion about this. Robert said he knew he was wrapping it up 2 years ago. He said he knew that was coming. He said Howard had to transition from the New York studio to this one. He said that stuff can throw you off. Howard said he's being intellectual about this. He said he wants to know how he's feeling. Robert said life is about change and becoming identified by and attached to thinks that are comforting and then putting yourself in a position to keep it from going away. Howard said he got to play this character over and over again and now he's walking away from one of the most successful franchises in history. Robert said it was the most successful.
Howard asked if he ever got to say goodbye to Stan Lee. Robert said he did. He said he was doing his cameo in Civil War. He said Stan got his line right and he got it wrong in the retake. He said even Stan Lee was referring to him as ''Robert'' and forgetting who he was in that moment. Howard said that's why he was saying he should get an academy award nomination. Robert said if you pulled the trigger on that then your dance card is just going around promoting the possibility of it. He said having that object isn't going to change his life.
Howard said the last time they saw each other was when they were at a movie screening for Remember My Name. Robert said it was a great movie. He said it's the best rock doc he's ever seen. Howard said he has to get going. He said he has his next guest coming in. Howard said see Robert in The Voyage of Dr. Doolittle that's coming out in 2020. Robert said he shot it last year. Howard asked if he's a producer for this one. Robert said they are. Howard said he's talking to animals and they must look like real animals. Robert said he does. He said he loves working in a vacuum. Howard said he got to do some scenes where he was talking to no one and he loved it.
Howard asked if he gets nervous when he's working on a movie. Robert said he does. Howard asked if he can cry on command. Robert said he can. Howard asked him to do it. Robert said no. Howard asked if he's a billionaire. Robert said no.
Howard thanked Robert for coming in. He said that he appreciates that. Robin asked if he's bringing back Sherlock Holmes. Robert said they have to see what the studio says. Howard said he has one more guest coming in today. Howard asked if he should say who it is. Robert and Robin said yes. Howard said this is a big star. He hummed the Friends tune and said it's Jennifer Aniston. Robert said he's going to have a blast with her. Howard wrapped up with Robert and went to break.

Howard came back and said they're playing Cream all morning as a tribute to Ginger Baker. Howard said it's been a very busy morning so far. He went over everyone who had come in already. She said she was 5 and 6 years old when she was in Greece. She said they lived with her aunt for 6 months. She said she remembers some of that.
Howard asked if she craved the spotlight and when did that happen. Jennifer said it's not about the spotlight for her. She said it's about dressing up and becoming a character. Howard asked what she did for her first play. Jennifer said it was the nativity scene at school. She said her dad asked her not to do this. She said that he told her it was a horrible industry and she wanted to prove him wrong. Howard asked if he brought her on set. Jennifer said he did. She said he's still on Days of Our Lives and he's been on since 84.
Howard asked if Jennifer about Friends and how they must have changed the script a lot. He said she had to do it in front of a live audience. Jennifer said they just did it once night in front of the live audience. She said there was a lot of scribbled all over the set. She said you write it down on the table if you have to.
Howard asked if someone forgets their line and she was on a role does she get angry. Jennifer said no. She said we all mess up. Howard said he remembers getting angry about someone not being prepared. Jennifer said there's not being prepared and then there's messing up a line. She said there are people who might show up drunk.
Howard asked Jennifer about going to L.A. to become an actress. Jennifer said she tried it in New York and didn't get any work. She said she was way off Broadway. She said she did one commercial for Bob's Big Boy. She said she wasn't even the representative. She said she was the competition. Howard asked if she would go out for commercials and think about how awful it is to have to do that. Jennifer said you have to pretend you've meet all of these people and it was pretty bad.
Howard asked if she was afraid she wouldn't make a living. Jennifer said she enjoyed waitressing. She said she didn't have anything to compare it to. Howard asked if she missed out on not going to college. Jennifer said no. She said that no one was on her about going to college. Howard said she moved to L.A. at what age. She said she was 21. Jennifer said she was told to lose maybe 20. She said she was the callback girl. She said this callback asked her to be in leotard and tights. She said she wasn't in shape. She said she enjoyed a fry. Howard said someone got a hold of her and told her to lose 20 pounds and she appreciated it. Jennifer said he told her to think about it. She said that he said it very gently and she was like ''What!?'' she said it had never occurred to her. She said she was 19 years old and no one was thinking about it. She said kids are body obsessed these days. Howard said that's how you get followers now on social media.
Howard said Jennifer took a good look at herself and did something. Jennifer said she wasn't eating well. She said she started to go to aerobics classes and went on Nutrisystem. Howard said that's how he met her. She came in to do a commercial for them and she had no idea who they were. Jennifer said it was most terrifying thing for her. She said she didn't know who Howard was. She said she thought it would be fun to be on radio. Howard said it wasn't so much fun. Jennifer said she was wearing a tank top and khaki pants with sneakers and she heard jungle cries when she came in. Howard said he remembers everyone thinking she was smoking hot. He said Gary thinks he could have gotten her back then. Howard said Gary had to be fucking kidding about that.
Jennifer asked where Gary got that. Howard said that's part of her appeal. He said every guy thinks that she'd be into them. He said she's not full of herself. Howard said she is there to say she is full of herself.
Howard asked if she was the hot girl in classes. Jennifer said not at all. She said she did date. She said she had 2 boyfriends in high school. Howard said he didn't have any girlfriends. He said he did but things ended poorly.
Howard asked if she has run into any guy she has dated in high school. Jennifer said about 10 years ago she ran into her first love. She said his brother was in her grade and they had a reunion. She said that he's happy and thriving now. Howard said it must be heart break for that guy. Jennifer said he's very handsome and he always was. Howard said she must be being nice. Howard asked what her first job was out there. Jennifer said she got a job on the show Malloy with Miam Bialick. Howard asked how long that lasted. Jennifer said it was 6 episodes. She said it was great because she got on TV.
Howard said then she did the movie Leprechaun. Jennifer said she did and she thought it was great. She said she watched it with Justin Theroux and she went in and out of the room cringing. Howard said that's the greatest. Jennifer said it was a cult classic so it's not so terrible.
Howard said Lorne Michaels wanted her to be a part of the Saturday Night Live cast. He said that he saw her as funny but she didn't like that. Howard said when she was in school for acting they told her to think about comedy. Jennifer said she was thrown by it. Howard said she thought she was a serious actress. Howard said it's funny that she made her bones in Hollywood with funny stuff.
Jennifer said she had done a show with Sandler and those guys and she knew them before she did Friends. She said she doesn't think that she'd do well in that environment. She said she told Lorne what she was hoping it could be there if she came to work there. Howard said Lorne must have told her to calm down. He said it's weird that she had that confidence. Howard said he'd think she'd just go there thinking that she could do well there.
Howard said Friends must have been coming out. Jennifer said it may have. She said she was doing the show Muddling Through and she did Friends in second position. She said that means that you hope the CBS show does well and you take that job. She said they picked it up for 3 episodes. Howard asked if she was good at auditioning. Jennifer said for Friends she was. Howard said he can't imagine how nervous she'd be.
Howard asked when life gets crazy for her that she can't even walk around after Friends became a hit. Jennifer said it took until the summer of 95. She said when it went into reruns over the summer it became a hit. Howard asked what the indication was that she lost her privacy. Jennifer said there were people following her around in a pharmacy. She said it took a couple of years to get really big. She said they had fun doing the whole thing. She said the whole gang just had dinner this past week. She said David Schwimmer was in town so they all got together. She said they all laughed so hard. Howard asked if anyone annoyed her. Jennifer said not one. She said it was lightning in a bottle. Howard asked if she would do a reunion show for Friends. Jennifer said they do miss doing the show. She said if there was a reboot of the show it won't be as close to being as good as it was so it would ruin it. Howard said the money on Friends was legendary. Jennifer said they stood on as a unit and asked for equal pay. Howard said that was head of their time.
Howard asked if she likes being famous. Jennifer said she doesn't think that way. She said she loves working and getting to do this. She said she has a platform and gets to help people. She said there are a lot of positives but that ego rush isn't something she has.
Jennifer asked if Robin has a cat named Jennifer Aniston. Robin said it is. She said she is a huge fan and she watched Friends all the time. She said she had lost a bunch of animals and she needed something make her smile and she thought naming it Jennifer Aniston it would make her smile. Jennifer said that's a great story and she can leave happy now.
Howard asked Jennifer what word the cast of Friends would whisper to each other. Jennifer said that's not a thing. Howard said here was a huddle before the show. Jennifer said there was but they just told each other to have a great show and that was it.
Howard said he feels every woman wants to be her friend. Jennifer said she has friends who are known and some who aren't. She said most of them are unknown. Howard asked how you get into her circle. Jennifer said it takes a long time. She said she's a good judge of character. She said her good friends are friends who have been there for 30-35 years. Howard said they're people who she's known before getting famous. Jennifer said her good friend Drea has been there since they were 15 years old. Howard asked if she has friends who are too jealous of her. Jennifer said no. She said if they are she doesn't know it.
Howard asked about some stick that they pass around in a witches coven or something. Jennifer said this got blown out of proportion. She said that she was talking to a journalist about growing up in New York and how she was a city girl until she moved to Los Angeles. She said she ended up there with women burning sage sticks around her. She said then she sat in a circle with these women who were sobbing and telling stories. She said she liked being in the group but it wasn't a Witches coven. She said it was just a group of girls.
Howard said he wants to clear up one more thing. He said he has to talk about this Apple thing she's involve with. He said he saw it and it was good. He said Apple is banking everything on it. Howard asked if she feels pressure over that. Jennifer said not at all. She said it is what it is.
Howard said he watched ''He's Just Not That Into You'' on the plane out there. He said that was a cute film. Jennifer said it was a great cast. She went over the cast and talked about that with Howard.
Howard said Jennifer is in The Morning Show which is coming out on November 1st on Apple Plus. Howard said that it has to be a big decision for Jennifer to go do something like that. He said it's a big deal. Jennifer said it is. Howard asked who she meets with. Jennifer said you pitch the show to different services. Howard asked if she has an agent. Jennifer said she has an agent and Reese Witherspoon is her partner in this. Howard said he's picturing them naked for some reason. He said they bring their show pitch to Apple and they go for it. Jennifer said they were the first offer. Howard said he thinks this is based on what happened to Matt Lauer on the Today show. He said it's about a guy like that. Howard said Carell looks a lot like Matt. Jennifer said there is a striking resemblance.
Howard asked if it was fun doing this. Jennifer said it was fun and challenging. She said Apple was fabulous. He said they're very supportive and stay out of your way. She said she thinks this is why the streaming services are doing so well. She said they have much more free reign and fulfillment.
Howard gave Jennifer another plug for her show and said he has to find her a husband. Howard said he was thinking about this. He said he was thinking about setting her up with someone. Robin said look at how much he's done for her. Howard said he doesn't get out much so he may not have a lot of suggestions.
Howard asked if the show is going to be a franchise. Jennifer said this is 2 seasons with 10 and 10 episodes. Howard asked if they got everyone revved up about the series. Jennifer said they did. She said she went to Apple and it was nerve wracking for her. Howard asked if she gets nervous to be Jennifer Aniston. Jennifer said it's about public speaking. She said it's a new found thing in the past 7-8 years. She said it's about public speaking in front of people. Howard said he's the same way. He said he doesn't want to see reactions to him. Howard said if he told his shrink that his friend wants to see him then he'd ask if he wants to guard their relationship. He said he thinks her shrink would let her friends see him. Howard asked why they have to go to her shrink. Jennifer said she tells people she has a great shrink. Howard said this is not good. He said she should change shrinks. Jennifer said she's on a break right now. Howard said you can't take a break. Jennifer said yes you can. She asked what's wrong with his shrink. Howard said he thinks she should be seeing her shrink. Jennifer said she can take a break. Howard asked if it's a psychiatrist or a psychologist. Jennifer said it's a psychologist.
Howard asked if this was painful for her. Jennifer said not at all. She said she's ready to lay down. Howard said he's glad she came on. He asked if they should reveal that she was in Tennessee as well. Jennifer said she saw the snake boots. He said that he was taking a flashlight and looking through the golf carts. Howard said some of those dinners went long. Jennifer said they were all having fun and conversing. Howard asked if he looked attractive in his snake boots. Jennifer said it was very masculine.
Howard thanked Jennifer for welcoming them to L.A. Jennifer asked if this will get him out there more often. Howard said no. He said this is the last time. Jennifer said that was The Edge. She said it was the making of the Sports Illustrated bikini issue. She said that was almost 30 years ago. Jennifer said they shot that on the Gilligan's Island beach. Howard asked if Jennifer wants him to set her up. Jennifer said she thinks she's good. Howard asked what she's doing the rest of the day. Jennifer said she has a meeting with a writer. Howard asked if it's for something with Reese. Jennifer said not everything is with Reese.
Howard asked if she went to Adam Sandler's Bat Mitzvah. Jennifer said she didn't go but she sent a gift. Howard said it must be tough to get a gift. He asked what you send. Jennifer said she could send a sketch and the kids would be happy. Howard said her life must be complicated. Jennifer said it's not.

Howard started the show talking about the beautiful production they had for the song opening the show. He said they made a lot of news yesterday. He said he woke up to two stories about Robert Downey Jr. He said he's always so good to them. He said he was nice enough to show up. He said then it made news that he almost came to blows with someone in the green room. Robin asked if they know who. Howard said they don't know who. He said they had it all wrong. He said he's glad it all blew over.
Howard said he also made the news for the Academy Award talk they had about Iron Man. He said it was some show yesterday.
Howard said he's going to take some calls before getting to everything else. He took a call from a guy who said the Arnold Schwarzenegger interview was great. He said he wants him to be President. Howard said he's not the only one. He said they had a bunch of guests on the show yesterday welcoming them to Hollywood. He said he went home and watched Arnold talking and he evokes something in him. He said he feels like he'd make a great father. He said the guy makes a lot of sense. He said he came off well and he's so brilliant. He said Jimmy is great on the show too. He said it's effortless with Jimmy.
Howard said he thought Adam Levine killed with his song. He said he wishes he had more time for Adam. He said then Jennifer Aniston came in. He said she had never been on before. He said he was exhausted from the show yesterday. He said he went to the hotel and slept.
The caller said Snoop has to get Howard and Robin high. Robin laughed. The caller said if JD gets too high he can take CBD to even it all out. He said their show is the shit too.
Howard said he was talking to JD about the weed thing. He said Snoop had a tragedy in his family but he's still going to show up today. He said Seth Rogen will be coming in too. He said that both of those guys are the most real guys he's ever met. He said they both smoke and they're both vocal about it. He said they're very comfortable in that world. He said they both have weed companies.
Howard said he told JD that he can talk to the guys about smoking. He said they have to go to another location to smoke. He said they can't do it there. He said he thinks they're going to a weed cafe. He said he doesn't know anything about that. He said they're going to do a remote from there. He said he's not sure if Seth and Snoop are going or what. He said they'll find out what's doing.
Howard said he told JD to take a couple of hits. He said he wants him to take it easy. He said he has no problem with drugs being legal. He said on the other hand he's anti-drug. He said he's not going to encourage anyone to use drugs. He said they're going to put this out there anyway.
Robin said this is a weird way to be introduced to weed. Howard said JD is like one of his kids. He said he'd rather have him around so he can keep an eye on him.
Jason came in and said they have been telling him to take it easy. He said they went to the place and that stuff is super strong. He said he tested it. Jason said this is the first weed centric cafe. He said they have everything there. He said he got a pre-rolled joint and it was the best one on the menu. He said it's like a wine list. He said the one joint was $30. He said they smoked several during dinner. He said people are doing bongs and smoking there. He said you can go to the bar and get more. Howard asked how many guys were there. Jason said it was 7 but some of the guys got freaked out and it ended up just being him and Derek. He said they were just smoking joints but people were smoking out of gravity bongs and things like that.
Howard asked what he thinks JD should do. Jason said he should take one hit and then take a break. Then take a second hit and then take another break. Howard said he did weed when he was a kid and it had no effect on him the first time. He said sometimes it doesn't take. Jason said this shit is crazy so if he doesn't get high here then he's not going to. He said back home people tell you how great the weed is there and it turns out they're right.
Howard asked if it's the environment. Jason said it has to be it. He said everyone is growing it and everyone is showing off their plants. Robin said it gets stronger and stronger.
Howard said they'll talk to Seth and Snoop about this. Jason said they were so high they didn't remember if they had ordered food or not. He said the waitresses didn't remember either.
Howard asked why smoke that much weed. He said you'd think you'd just get buzzed. Jason said they were the least obliterated people in there.
Howard said he realized how spoiled he is having that in his room. He said he won't get the workout in so they think he didn't work out. He said he worked out in the gym instead. He said he did push ups and lunges. He said Arnold said you have to work out.
Howard had a caller on the line who said she thinks that the show yesterday was great and it was like a Birthday show. Howard said that's what they were hoping for. He said he wanted to have people come in and welcome them to Hollywood. He said his problem is that he wants to talk to these people. He said he wants to keep going with one person. He said even when Jimmy left he was upset that he didn't get to talk to him more. Robin said she loves listening to Robert Downey Jr. because he chooses interesting words. Howard said everyone was anxious about the show and it was very cool and very nice.
The caller asked about JD being so calm yesterday when he talked to Jennifer Aniston. Howard said he noticed that. He said he had some weird confidence around her. He said JD is such a freak. He said on Sunday they did a sound check and JD was there staring at the wall. He said he wasn't looking at him or Beth. He said he thought it was odd that he was doing that. He said hi to JD and he told him he could turn around and look at him. He said JD said hello. He said he thought this is a weird mother fucker.
JD said Howard was talking to other people and he was looking outside in the courtyard. Howard said he didn't even say hello to him. He said it was like he's a stranger. He said Beth was there and he knows her too. JD said he said hello to her. Howard said he did not. He said he introduced JD to his wife. JD said he said hello.
Howard said with Jennifer Aniston he was Mr. America. JD said he was very nervous around her. He said it's like that scene in Old School where it just comes out in an eloquent way. Robin said it must be over now.
Howard said it was weird that they had a picture of Jennifer and JD in the NY Post. He said they were talking about the advice she gave him on smoking weed. Howard said they were featured together like a couple.
Howard said they call him Hollywood Harmeyer. He asked if he's ready to smoke weed today. JD said he has been looking forward to it and he's kind of nervous. He said he knows people love it. He said he loves drinking wine and it might be that sort of thing. He said they'll see how it goes.
Howard said before JD goes he has to mention he has a special shirt on today. JD said he has some cactus on it and there's some plants on it. Howard asked if they're cactus. JD said it's going with the theme of today's show.
Howard asked if he's jerking off in his hotel room. JD said he has a few times. Howard asked if he was sexting with his wife at all. JD said he didn't send her a dick pic. Howard asked if anyone threw up over that yesterday. Robin said it did seem out of place for him. She said he is a grandfather.

Howard took a call from Pocket who asked what happens if he smokes and starts speaking straight. Howard said he'll kill himself. He said he's predicting that his speech will be all fucked up. Robin said she was thinking about how it'll be like Ronnie just laughing for an hour.
Pocket asked if JD has ever inhaled any smoke. JD said he tried a hookah once. He said that was inhaling. Howard asked if that was weed. JD said he doesn't know what it was. He said he thinks he coughed when he did it. JD said that was a long time ago.
Howard said a hookah is a flavored tobacco. JD didn't know what it was. Howard said he's such a weird guy. Robin said he's not really there when he's doing anything. Howard let JD go after playing a JD song parody.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he love hearing the Rodney Dangerfield stories on the show yesterday. Howard said those were good stories. He said he loves hearing them too. He said he's heard so many stories about Rodney's balls hanging out.
The caller said the other thing that got him was that Adam Levine song. Howard said that was about his manager who was Jonah Hill's brother. He said he thinks he nailed it with that song. He said he was stunned by his hair cut. He said he had a great time with everyone yesterday.
Howard said Flirty Gary was at work there in L.A. and they have to get to that. He said he picked up a woman. Howard said he may give them a bonus at the end of the show and talk about Brent. He said Shuli and Chris Wilding were tailing Brent. He said they have tape of the whole situation.
Howard said Flirty Gary is worth mentioning. He said this is a phony phone call character. He said he uses the world's cheesiest pick up lines.
Howard played a previous Flirty Gary phony phone call where they had set up a Tinder profile and picked up a guy. He played the call where Gary was talking to this guy and giving lame pick up lines.
Howard said they put out a casting call for a Hollywood style bachelor show. He said they got a ton of responses for real. He said it was L.A. based bachelorettes. He said this one lady really stood out. He said they told her it was to gauge their chemistry. He said he can't imagine why this woman didn't just hang up. He said she seemed to dig Gary. He said maybe pick up lines really work. Robin said she did think she was going to get on some show. Howard said this is Flirty Gary going Hollywood.
Howard played the call where Gary used these lame pick up lines on this woman. She went along with all of them and seemed to think they would hit it off just fine. They had Gary using lame pick up line after lame pick up line. She was laughing and getting into it with him.
Howard asked if you can believe that. Robin said that was amazing. Howard said that woman must be really desperate. He said she loved Flirty Gary. He said no woman or man can resist him. He said he's rethinking the way he should have handled himself in high school. He and Robin were repeating some of those pick up lines.
Howard said he doesn't know too much. Howard said he's echoing so he has to hang up. Mariann asked him to please not hang up. Howard told her to calm down. Howard said they're still echoing. He hung up on her. He said it must be the long distance. He said he would have talked to her more.
Howard said tomorrow afternoon they tape Jimmy Kimmel's show. He said then he will be taping with Ellen on Thursday. He said he's not sure when it airs. He said he thought it was Thursday but maybe not. He got a note saying it airs on Monday. He said that will air on Monday then. He said on Friday he thinks it's live and he'll be on Bill Maher's show. He said he's not sure what time that will be. Robin said it might be 9. Howard said it can't be. Robin said maybe it's taped at 6. Howard said that's better.
Howard said someone is coming in. Gary came in and said it's 7 for Bill Maher. Howard said that's late. He said that's the end of his day. He said he's not particularly awake. He said he'll try to take a nap. He said he wants to do it for Bill since he did their show.
Howard asked if Mary is still out there. Gary said she went home but their son lives out there so they got to spend time with him. Howard said Gary's son is so tall now. He said he could beat the shit out of Gary. Gary said his son could have kicked his ass at 16. He said he's 6'4'' and his other son is too. He said his wife is taller than him too.
Howard said the guys from Sirius took a picture with him. He said Scott Greenstein was there and Jim Meyer was supposed to be but he wasn't. He said the entire staff from L.A. was there. He said he said hello to them up there. Gary said they were all welcoming him to the studio. Howard said he took a picture and he asked them not to release it because it was so bad. He said he's so much taller than Scott. He said he looks like he's in the land of the giants. He said he's always hunched over. He said he really does it around smaller people. He said Scott looks like a dwarf next to him. Gary said he's probably 5'7'' or 5'8''. Howard said they were doing that and he didn't know what was going on. He said they have these new studios and they had a party there last night. Gary said it was mostly staff and a few celebrities sprinkled in. He said no expense was spared. He said Nobu was there making Sushi. He said they had a lot of food and things to eat.
Howard said he went out with Mary McCormack and her husband to dinner last night. He said they get together all the time. He said he loves them to death. He said they went to Craig's and they have a whole vegan menu. He said they have chicken Parmesan but it's not real chicken. He said it was so good and he was so happy about it.
Howard said it has gotten to the point where the plant based meat is so good. He said his wife ordered the fake meat. Gary said he tried to get Jon to try it. He said refuses.
Howard said his wife tried the hamburger and cut some of it off for him to try. He said he thought it was real meat because that's how it tasted. He said it was awesome. He said he was really happy with that restaurant.
Howard said Richard was out there too but he didn't see him. Richard said he was there and when he saw Howard was there he left. He said his friends wanted to take him there. He said he went there and he was across the street and he saw Howard's car pull up. He said he saw him get out and he was like ''Oh shit!'' He said he didn't want to bug him. He didn't want to ruin his night. Howard said they'll never know if it would have. He said part of him wants to say that's nice of him but he also likes him a lot. He said he's not sure why he would do that. Richard said he thought that he might think he was bugging him or following him. Gary said Richard called his friends and told them to get out and get out now. Richard said it was like telling them to abandon ship.
Richard said his friends kind of knew that he wouldn't want to eat there if Howard was there. Howard asked where he ended up going. Richard said they went to this place across the street. He said it was called Gracias Madre and it was vegan Mexican food. He said he didn't even know it until he was done.
Howard asked if he has been drinking out there. Richard said he had some drinks on the plane but he's not drinking that much out there. He said he just wants to lay low out there. He said he thought if he saw him his night would be ruined. Gary said they did read the staff the riot act and told them not to do anything they wouldn't do at home.
Howard said he would have been happy to see Richard at dinner. He said he would have been a little paranoid if he did see him. He said they have to get to JD getting high. He said they have to take a break and get to that. Richard said he can't wait. He said he thinks he'll giggle a lot. Howard said they'll bring JD back to the studio and find out how he does. Howard said Seth Rogen is there and he has to pish. He said he has to go find a bathroom so they're going to take a break. He went to break a short time later.

Seth said there's a studio there in Los Angeles. He said now he has his own stuff including a kiln. He said they now own a kiln.
Howard asked how many he turns out a week. Seth said he makes a few. He said he makes vases too. He said he probably made 6 this week. Howard said there was something off with them at first. He said now they're very professional looking. Seth said he's getting better at glazing too. He said he does it almost every day. Seth said you have to make it centered so that's where the work comes in. He said his wife has been trying to get him to do it for 10 years. He said she finally got him to do it and now he loves it. He said it's fantastic. He said he didn't want to try it and now he wants to do it every day.
Howard asked if Seth about producing this show ''The Boys.'' He said this was a fantastic thing. He asked if it was a comic book. Seth said it was and the same guy who did that did Preacher which is another show he produced. He said the comic book came out about 10 years ago. He said Preacher was out in the 90s. Howard said it's on Amazon and it's great. Seth said it's insane. Howard said it's nice that they have all of these places they can bring shows to. Seth said it's harder to make money on TV. He said now you need a lot so they have like 4 on the air. Howard said something like The Boys is like 10 films they stream. Seth said it really is. He said it looks good and they have a ton of visual effects. He said it's very complicated. Howard asked if he can make as much money as with a film. Seth said it takes him away from his pottery wheel.
Howard said he loves painting. He asked if Seth has ever done that. Seth said he has tried but he's not very good at it. He said he has tried a lot of hobbies. He said he was into Bonsai trees a long time ago. He said he got really into that. He said he would make his own. He said any tree can be Bonsai'd. He said he'd go find trees in stores and cut them back and make them into Bonsai trees. He said it was really cool. He said it was great that you can do it to any tree. He said he had a Pomegranate tree that was tiny and it grew tiny fruit. He said he felt like God.
Seth said that the things he does for work are intangible so he needs something he can touch. He said that's why he's doing the pottery thing. He said he must long for some artifact of his work. Howard asked if Mr. Miagi got him into Bonsai trees. Seth said that might be it. Howard said he used to get Bonsai trees from people and they're so hard to take care of.
Seth said he was into photography and he still has that stuff. Howard said he was obsessed too. He said the guy who taught him was a wedding photographer and he'd go help him. He said then he got into painting. He said he figured anyone could get into photography. He said that Guillermo Del Toro does journals. He said he'd like to do that. Seth said he tried doing that too but he bored himself.
Howard said he got into The Boys because the super heroes were humans acting like assholes. Seth said that's it. He said the whole idea was that you meet famous people and they have a lot of power. He said it fucks you up across the board. He said that became the thought process. He said they would be fucking nuts if they had that power.
Howard asked if he was involved in the casting. Seth said they were. Howard said that lead guy is great. Seth said he was on Banshee. Howard said he loved that show too.
Howard said it must be great that he can get other actors work. Seth said it is. He said it's weird that he can do that. He said he spent so much time not being able to work. He said he wants to do that. He said that's why they produce things.
Howard said the last time he saw Seth he came in with Charlize Theron. He said that whole movie idea was so great. Seth said it was too much for audiences to accept. He said they can't wrap their heads around that. Seth said in the movie Alexander Skarsgaard was playing the guy she might be with and he was thinking that's who she would be with if it was real.
Howard asked if he hears from Charlize now. Seth said he does. He said she wants some of his pottery. He said he gives it away to some people. Howard said he'd like to have an ash tray but he doesn't smoke. Seth said he'll give him a vase then. Howard said he hates getting flowers because they end up dying. Seth said he should get some dried flowers then. He said that might be his next hobby.
Howard said Seth was brought in as a pot expert. He said that he wonders if he vapes. Seth said he dos not vape. He said he never really did it because he never got what the fuck it was. Howard said it's a chemical. Seth said with weed you know what you're getting. He said you can see it. He said if you're smoking something and ingesting it into your body you want to know what it is. He said he was never a big vaper.
Howard said he would guess that he wouldn't do it now. Seth said it's unregulated so no. He said up in Canada the weed is regulated. He said it's different up there. He said with the vaping they don't regulate it.
Howard asked if he keeps the ash trays he makes. Seth said some of them he does. He said some of them come out really nice. Howard said he has done paintings and he likes to keep his stuff. He said he doesn't want to sell it. Seth said he's the same way with his pottery. Howard said he thinks he could stay home and paint all day and not work again. Seth said he gets that. He said he thinks he could do that with pottery.
Howard had Snoop Dogg come in since he showed up. Howard asked if they have smoked together. Seth said they have. Snoop said he likes smoking with Seth. He said some people talk too much. He said Seth knows how to make a joint that looks like a cross. He said he's a bad mother fucker. He said he saw that joint and he was like ''God!''
Howard said he's so jealous in a way because it's a bonding thing with smoking. He said he envies that. He said he just bums out too much. He said even with JD he told him that they're heavyweights. Snoop said he's jumping in with Ali and Tyson. Howard said these guys know how to do weed and he told JD to be careful. Howard said maybe only 3 hits. Seth said maybe just one. Snoop said maybe half of one. Seth said he's had too many people come up wanting to smoke and they get wasted.
Howard said one of the times he smoked weed he was meeting with people and he took 3 hits and he got so fucked up they had to drag him out of there and to his hotel room. He said the women were telling him to suck it up and get with it.
Howard said he knows Snoop had a tragedy but he still showed up. Snoop said he loves them so he had to come in. Howard said he thanks him for coming in. Snoop said he heard they needed him and he said he got it.
Howard said he has fears for JD. He said you don't know what's going to happen. Snoop said you may get high or get hungry. He said it's something that you may not even notice. Seth said sometimes they don't smoke it right. He said if they cough a lot then they're going to get really high. Seth said he still coughs a lot. Snoop said he coughs in the closet.
Howard said he is impressed that these two vibe so well. Howard said he's so worried when he smokes that it gets inside his head. He said they can sit there silently and not get uptight about it. He said shit. Snoop said wherever he goes they have had great situations. He said that if they have a drink shit may go left. He said he's not sure what a drink does but it's different. He said when he smokes he's relaxing.
Robin said that she's see Snoop get very upset watching football. Snoop said he does. He said he is a die hard fan of the Steelers. Howard said this guy has had the greatest life and he has endless fun. He said he gets worked up over the game so much and it comes off very genuine.
Howard asked if Seth has gotten into fantasy football. Seth said he knows nothing about it. Snoop said he wants to get one of his ash trays. Seth said he'll give him one. Howard said he wanted to play chess with Arnold Schwarzenegger and he invited him over to his house. He said he wasn't sure what would happen if he did that. He said he was worried about the whole idea of the thing.
Howard asked Snoop about the ash tray thing and if he thinks it's brilliant. Snoop said it's great. He said he loves the vase thing too. Howard said he's impressed with the ash trays because it has that little lip on it for the joints. Seth said he gives the joint the respect it deserves.
Howard said that both of them have their careers on fire. He said what he always admired about them is that they never hid that they smoked weed. Seth said no one ever said anything to him. He asked if anyone tried to advice Snoop. Snoop said he thinks they were afraid to say anything.
Howard said he heard that someone tried to kick Snoop out of some event he was invited to. Snoop said he didn't get kicked out. He said they invited him to do what he does and they're going to get Snoop Dogg if they hire Snoop.
Howard said Snoop is going to be Cousin It in the new Addams Family movie. Seth said that the same guy who directed Sausage Party directed the Addams Family movie. Snoop said he's not even sure what it'll sound like. He said he was high as fuck doing that. Howard asked if he ad-libbed the lines. Snoop said all of them.
Howard asked if they're high today. Snoop said he was told not to smoke when he came in there. He said he just pulled up past the police smoking so they didn't take him to jail so Howard isn't going to arrest him.
Howard said they have to get to JD who is out at a cafe to get his weed. He asked if Snoop vapes at all. Snoop said not at all. He said he goes straight to the flower. Howard said he heard the only time Seth didn't get high was on his first Letterman appearance. Seth said it was just that one time. He said then he started getting high. Snoop said he has a guy who has a job doing it and that's his job description. He said he is a professional blunt roller. Howard asked where he found him. Snoop said he was fresh out of jail and his technique was so quick. Seth was cracking up at that.
Howard asked what this guy was arrested for. Snoop said he was arrested for cocaine. Seth said if he was in jail he knows to keep his fucking mouth shut. Snoop said exactly.
Howard asked how much he pays a guy for that. Snoop said that it's somewhere between 40-50,000 a year. He said he gets free trips too. Seth said the guy rolls the blunts and he puts them back in the box. He said he has sat there just watching the guy and it's fascinating. Howard said that's genius. He asked if Seth is jealous. Seth said he should probably hire someone like that. Snoop said they should invent a robot that makes them. Seth said maybe they should.
Seth told Howard to check out what he has. He showed the blunts that this guy rolled for him. Howard said look at how beautiful they are. Seth said they're gorgeous.
Howard asked how many times a day they smoke. Snoop said they can't count this shit. Seth said one time they went back to Snoop's trailer and they were all smoking and they smoked so much weed. He said they all looked at each other and thought that they had smoked as much as they possibly could.
Howard said he remembers Snoop talking about how he can't go somewhere that he can't have weed. Snoop said he hasn't been to Europe in like 5 years. Howard asked if they think they're addicted. Seth said they have thought about it. Howard said they have succeeded in their lives. He asked if they ever think about it controlling their lives. Seth said it's like asking why you wear shoes. Howard said he saw the trailer for this new Dolomite project that Eddie Murphy is in. Snoop said he used to come with him all the time. He said the movie is fucking amazing. He said Eddie Murphy killed it. Howard asked if he did scenes with Eddie. Snoop said he did. He said he felt like Dolomite would have been proud to see this movie. He said the story was great and Eddie was great in it. Howard said Eddie really is something. Robin said he's getting a lot of notice for that role. Snoop said if you're a kid and you idolize someone and you get to play them in a movie it's great.
Howard said that guy would never have thought Eddie Murphy would be playing him in a movie. Snoop said he wouldn't have. Howard said Eddie grew up around the corner from him on Long Island. He said he didn't know about Dolomite. Seth said that he used to see that stuff in the video store and they became obsessed with it.
Howard said show business is great. He said you can honor Dolomite. He said that Snoop gets to be in it and he gets to be in it with Eddie. He asked if Snoop worries that he has lost touch with reality. Snoop said not at all. He said that show ''The Boys'' is so great. He said he wishes he could have some super powers like the characters in the show.
Howard said it's weird being famous. He said that you do have super powers. He asked if they remember not having those powers and being invisible. He said no one knows you and then you get the fame and there's a party going on in your doctor's office. Seth said a lot of famous people aren't good at it. He said he sees that and he thinks they just suck at it. Howard asked if they're just full of themselves. Seth said a lot of people are bad at it. He said people who do well in their careers do well with fame.
Snoop said he has met 3 people who were good at begin famous. He said it was Leo DiCaprio, Willie Nelson and Matthew McConaughey. Howard asked what the story with Matthew was. Snoop said he got him fucked up one night. He said they had fake ass weed on the set so he was smoking real weed instead. He said Matthew asked him to make sure it wasn't real weed. He said he got real weed and then McConaughey was rapping his lines 10 minutes later.
Howard asked how Snoop thinks that Matthew handles fame better. Snoop said that he makes you feel comfortable. He said he just handles it so well. He said he has skill and craft.
Howard asked how he saw DiCaprio's skill. Snoop said he hangs out with him all the time. Howard asked if he has been on that pussy boat. Snoop said they didn't invite him on there.
Seth said that Adam Sandler is really good with people too. He said it's like a skill. He said you take what you can. Howard said maybe it's a basic humanity. Seth said it's a skill.

Seth said acid is making a comeback too. He said he likes that stuff. Snoop said that he knows they used to use it back in the 60s. Everyone was talking over each other and making jokes about doing acid. Howard said he did 4 hits one night and it took him out of the drug game for a while. He said he didn't know how to do it. He said he thinks he lost a hunk of his brain on that stuff.
Howard asked if the guys have ever thought about not doing drugs for a day. Snoop said he has. He said he got sick and he stopped. He said he had another time when he had strep throat. He said then he called Magic Juan who told him to smoke through his nose.
Howard said he could talk to these guys for the next 17 hours. He said they have to get to JD.
Howard asked if they could make a weed bonsai. Seth said probably not because it's not a tree. Howard asked if Snoop has any hobbies. Snoop said he likes cooking. Howard said these guys seem to be kindred spirits. He said last time Snoop was on he told a Tupac story and it was all over the news. He said it was all because of weed that Tupac showed up for Madonna.
Howard asked if there was some story that Snoop was Cameron Diaz's weed dealer. Snoop said he was but he didn't let that story out, she did.
Howard said he's looking at this menu an he can't figure it out. Snoop said it's too much for him to figure out too. He asked where the weed at. Howard asked what the should smoke. Snoop said sativa. He said it's lighter. Seth said he should try something strong to make sure he feels it. He said that he should try something like that. He said that way he might actually feel something. He said just do one fucking hit though. Snoop said this little bitch ass will be done if he does more. Howard said this is unbelievable. Snoop said they want to get his mind right. He said everything is going to change for him after this. He said his style of women is going to change and his hair is going to get long.
Howard said JD has a shirt on today that has cactus on it. Snoop asked what the fuck that is. He said he should have something like 4 leaf clover on it.
Howard asked Snoop about this Tekashi 69 guy. Snoop said he's Tekashi Snitch Nine. Howard asked how he's going to get through life. Snoop said you know snitches get stitches. He said he's heard of people snitching on people but he snitched on people and went berserk. He said he sang like Aretha Franklin. He said when you go to jail you deal with that kind of element. He said he was in jail and he knows what it's like. He said that guy is done. He said he has protection right now but he says he doesn't want it. Seth said he doesn't get having the tattoos on his face. Howard said the guy has 69 on his body like 200 times. Howard asked who does that. Seth said 69'ing is in theory great but after a few times you don't want to do it. Seth said his name would be Tekashi Missionary.
Howard asked if Tekashi can get over this snitching thing. Snoop said he can die and come back as a butterfly. Snoop said this is real stuff and he snitched and now he's a rat.
Howard said it's an honor to have these two experts on weed in there. JD Puppet came to life again and asked about what he should smoke. Howard asked if hash is a thing now. Snoop said it used to be in other countries. He said they had such garbage weed that they'd put hash in it to make it better.
Seth said in some countries they put tobacco in weed and it can mess you up. Snoop said it's just a little bit of weed and a lot of tobacco. Seth and Snoop said it can really fuck you up. He said they have mastered the technique over there.
Howard asked what the proper way to hold a joint is. Snoop showed a couple of options to JD. Gary asked if they should do a joint or a bong. Seth and Snoop said that he should smoke the joint. Seth said this is what he should be smoking. He showed a joint he had on him.
Howard asked where JD is on this. JD said he's excited. Snoop asked when he watched porn for the first time. He said he sees him hiding his hand behind his back. He said he can see it's stronger than the other.
Howard asked JD what he wants to ask. JD said they have said so much and he has to make a decision. He said that he's not sure if he should use indica or sativa. Snoop told him not to think and just have a good time. He said if you think then you think about why your heart is beating fast and things like that. Howard said that's what did him in. He said he got into his own head. Howard said if he was with Seth and Snoop he'd think that they think he's not cool and stuff. He said he'd get paranoid.
Howard said Ralph is out there saying JD should hit a bong. He had him come in to talk about that. Ralph said he should do a water bong because it's smoother. Seth said that's just not true. JD Puppet came to life again and asked what happens if he swallows the joint. They had to ask Ralph to move out of the way of the puppet. Howard said he'd love to make a show of just Snoop talking to the puppet.
Gary said they have a paramedic to be there for JD when he smokes. Howard said Seth is laughing at JD like a little bitch. Seth said he's 30-something and has never smoked. He said it's hilarious that he's never tried it and he works on this show. He said he's so afraid of taking one hit of weed. Howard said they got JD laid on the show. He said he's married now. JD said they don't have to get into everything.
Howard said they got JD to drink too. JD didn't start until he was 25 or so. Howard said JD once hired a woman to lick peanut butter... JD said that's enough of that. He didn't let Howard finish that story.
Seth said he got Kevin Smith to smoke weed. He said he smokes every day now and he's much happier. Howard asked if Snoop smoked with Beetlejuice. Snoop said he did. He said he fucking loves that guy. He said he's the man. Howard said he loves him too. He said he's living with his mom now and his health hasn't been so good. He said he just brought everyone down.
Howard asked what JD should smoke. Seth said he should smoke indica. He said it's on the menu. He said it's relaxing. Snoop said he's trying to fuck him up and give him the worst fears he's ever had. Seth said that he should try a hybrid. He went through some of the stuff they had on the menu. He said this one is called Peanut Butter. Howard asked if the guys are going to go over there with JD. Snoop said he doesn't want to be responsible for someone dying.
Howard said they should become the new Cheech and Chong. He said he'd love to watch that. Howard thanked Seth and Snoop and said he loves and hails both of them. He said he loves both of them. He said it's been the most fun morning. He said they are helping his boy JD who he thinks of like a son. He said he's not pushing weed but JD wanted to try it.
Howard said Snoop's new album ''I Wanna Thank Me'' is coming out. He gave him a plug for that. Seth said he saw the billboard and he laughed out loud. He said he was like thank god for Snoop. Howard asked where the title comes from. Snoop said he is the one who has to go do the job and he's tired of thanking everyone else for doing the work that he's doing.
Howard said the Dolomite movie is coming out later this month on Netflix too. He said Snoop is in that. Robin said he was great on some show where he laid down a track and she said he was great on that. Howard said he's always said she should have been Mrs. Snoop Dogg.
Seth said there was a girl in Snoop's song ''Gin and Juice'' that would always throw him off because of the weird mix. He said it got him every time.
Seth said one time he was in the studio with Snoop and he was ready to do his thing and Snoop just said ''Alright, bring in the hoes.'' He said the girls came in and it inspired him to do this song. He said when he was done they left. He said he saw it happen.
Howard said that's an amazing thing. He said if he knows a woman is watching him he wants to impress her. He asked if that's what it is. Snoop said he's been doing that since the start with Dr. Dre. He said he always had hoes in there. Howard said he remembers Beth coming in when he was on the air and she was impressed. Howard said some hoes can inspire you to rap. Snoop said that a lot of weed and Popeye's chicken can help too.
Howard asked how long it would take to get some hoes in there. Snoop said that it would take 20 minutes. He said they're TTG (Trained to Go). Howard said he learned he is not having a life. He said they must look at him and think he's not having a life. Snoop said he sees a player.
Howard said Seth has a writing room and people would complain about them smoking weed all the time. Seth said they moved them around a bunch of times. Howard said a woman took over their office and they had to let it air out for months. Seth said they were on the Sony lot. He said they made Pineapple Express and it made a ton of money for them. He said they made hundreds of millions of dollars off of that movie and they were complaining about the smell of weed.
Howard said he imagines that they're going through withdrawal now. Snoop said he's had that thing in his hand for a half hour now. He said he's going to go smoke in his trailer now. He said he has all kinds of Howard Stern books in there. He said he might take a few with him.
Howard said what a morning. He said nothing says California like having Snoop and Seth sitting there talking about weed and hoes. Howard said JD is on his way to get hooked up. He said he's going to let Seth and Snoop go. He asked if they have any wisdom to leave. Snoop said whenever he's on Howard's show it resonates with so many people. He said it's people from age 8 to 80 and different colors, races and religions. He said we need more people like Howard. He said they just talk about what's real. Howard he knows there are people wishing they could go into the trailer with Snoop. Seth said he can't wait to smoke that 65 precent THC weed.
Howard said he can't wait for JD to try the weed that they picked. Seth said he'd like to say that he had nothing to do with picking it. Snoop said he'd like to do his eulogy.
Howard said he's having a good time out there in L.A. He said he's going to let them go. He said he can see they're itching to go. Howard went to break a short time later.

Bianca said they do and the food is not infused. Gary said he was there the other day and they had a cheer that went up and it turns out it was 4:20.
Howard asked if it's usually packed in there. Bianca said it has been. She said they have a line there every day. Gary said they were there last week twice and there was a line around the block both times.
Gary said Ronnie is there and he's thinking about trying it. Ronnie said he's not sure about that. Shuli said he's going to try it. Shuli said he's excited for this. He said it's like heaven there. Howard said JD didn't know how to boil water. Gary asked JD if he's ready. JD said he's as ready as he can be. Bianca told him how to light the joint. She told him to inhale while lighting it. Howard asked how he found out where the guys were staying. Erik said he didn't figure it out. He said there's a girl here who knows. He said Speech Impediment Man is staying there too. He said he was on the war path because she was hanging out with other guys and he wasn't able to get her. Erik said Speech Impediment Man said if he sees her today he's going to go off on her. Howard said he can't believe they're misbehaving like this.
Robin asked if Erik knows how much he owes for his tickets. Erik figured 9x50 was $9,500. Erik said he has a parking app on his phone so it's already paid. No one knew what he was talking about.
Howard asked Erik why he has to drive so fast on the freeway. Erik said he goes 80 when no one is around. Howard asked why he's in a rush. Erik said he has places to be. He said he has to drive fast. Howard said if you're meeting a friend you don't have to rush. Erik said he has to rush sometimes. Howard said he has to drive within the speed limit. He said he doesn't care how late he is.
Shuli told Erik to tell him what he wants to do with the rental car. Erik said he wants to drive back to New York so he doesn't have to check in his luggage.
Shuli said that Erik is staying in L.a. for another week. Then he's going to Cabo. Howard asked how he has the money for that. Erik said he's doing well with Cameo. Howard told him to save some money. Shuli said he's not returning the car while he's on this cruise. He said the cruise is 5 days. Erik said he can come home and get the car and drive back to LAX. Howard said he has to pay for those 5 days. Erik said he doesn't want to. Ralph asked if he can borrow it. Erik said no way.
Ralph asked how much money he makes on Cameo. Erik said he did like 7-15 yesterday alone and they're $75 each. Howard asked if they have to do the math.
Howard said he hopes he's happy that he made it on the show. Erik said he is. He said the studio is really nice. Shuli said he's got to stop annoying everyone with texts. He said just text him and leave everyone else alone. Howard said he doesn't have time to lecture him anymore so he has to take a break and pee. They went to break a short time later.

Demi said you have to think about what you wrote and have to reframe what you said. Demi said she has to be that vulnerable all the time.
Howard said she really laid it all out about her mother and father. He said when you write it you're in a vacuum. He said then it comes out and everyone knows about your whole life. He said it's mind blowing. He said he sits there and thinks about how personal a story her book was. Demi said she put a lot of though into it. She said her intention was to be of service by sharing her mistakes and failures. She said it might inspire and help someone else. She said there were difficult things growing up but it made her what she is. Howard said he's surprised that she survived and didn't kill herself. He said parents can really fuck you up.

Howard said when he saw her in Ghost it was such a powerful performance. Howard said he loves in the book where she talks about being hired to do Ghost and she goes and cuts her hair short. Howard said it was right before the filming of the movie. Howard said this guy hired her and then he sees her with the pixie hair cut. Howard said the director pictured a woman with long hair. Demi said he was upset. She said the way it happened was that she met with them and they were getting ready to go on a family trip and it wasn't settled yet. She said she had this picture of Isabella Rosalini in her wallet and she didn't think about it being a conflict until she saw his face and he asked where the hair was. Demi said she thinks it worked. Howard said when she's doing the pottery i worked. He said every guy wanted to fuck her brains out. He said it makes you believe in romance.
Howard asked if Patrick Swayze fell in love with her. Demi said not at all. She said her oldest daughter turned 1 when they were shooting that. She said she's 31 now. Howard said Bruce didn't get jealous when she was working with that guy. Demi said no. Howard asked how good Whoopi was in that movie. Demi said she talks about that in the book. He said Pretty Woman and Ghost came out in the same year. He said that's amazing. Demi said she forgot about that. Howard said Kathy Bates won for Misery that year. He said what a year for movies that was.
Howard asked if Demi is upset she wasn't nominated for an Academy Award. Demi said she doesn't think about that. She said it was the firs time it came into her awareness when Whoopi got nominated. She said the movie had such a response. She said she felt she was someone who would never get that.
Howard said the way she was crying in that movie was something. He said she was so focused on the scene she must have been able to cry. Demi said it wasn't written that she had to but she felt like she did. Howard said when Whoopi pushes the penny under the door and then Patrick is moving it toward her face she realizes what's happening and the tear comes down. Howard said that was a fucking moment. He asked when she saw that movie last. Demi said maybe 25 years ago. Howard asked if the kids have seen it. Demi said they have. Howard asked if she wants to avoid watching it with them because she doesn't want to make it about her. Demi said she has a hard time with that in general showing her things.
Howard asked if the kids saw it and said she was amazing in it. Demi said they do. She said when Rumer saw ''About Last Night'' she said she wasn't prepared for the sex scenes. Howard said that's hot. Demi said they don't want to see you like that. Demi said they're so tender and sweet and encouraging. She said she got messages from them being encouraging.
Howard said Rumer was on the show when she won Dancing with the Stars. Demi said someone said he was being encouraging with her on the show. Howard said he was because she was a good dancer.
Howard asked Demi about learning to cry by holding her breath. Demi told Howard that when you do that your body does something that it does when you are really crying. Howard asked if she thinks about her mother when she cries on command. Demi said not really. Howard said she has a lot of major issues with her parents. He said that she went through a lot. He said he had a lot of issues but she had a ton.
Demi said if she had an encouraging parental dynamic she may not have been able to step out and become who she became. Howard said that's the question. He said maybe she could have become even more dynamic.
Howard said her mother Ginnie married the guy who she thought was her father right out of high school. Demi said they were babies. Howard said hey weren't prepared to have kids. He said her mother's betrayal all along was aggravating. He said that she was naked on the cover of Vanity Fair and her mother started selling pictures of herself naked. Demi said she's not angry about that. She said when she passed she was there taking care of her and she was so flooded with an awareness that what was with her went with her when she passed. She said any time she had been shitty herself it didn't matter. She said all of those behaviors were her own to deal with. Howard said he thinks she cut her too much of a break. Demi said she also became so clear that she came into this world like we all do with wanting to be loved and belong and feel like she matters.
Howard asked if she thinks her mother hated her. Demi said not at all. She said she thinks she hated herself. Howard asked if she was ashamed of her sexuality. Demi said the conflict was when she was the parent. She said she thinks her mother saw her as an extension of her. She said it wasn't a direct competitive thing. She said she never overcame feeling unloved.
Howard said her mother would take her to a bar when Demi was only 15. He said she was luring men with her daughter. Howard asked how old she was when she had her. Demi said her mom was 18. She said they were out and she doesn't think it was that she was using her. She said she thinks she was waking up to herself to seeing her becoming an adult.
Howard said the most startling thing in the book was heartbreaking. He said she wrote that her mom met some dude at the bar and she's 15 years old. He said her mom allows the guy into her daughter's life and one day this guy is in the house and her mom is away. He said the guy rapes Demi. Demi said yeah. She said she came home and she was trapped. She said she knew what he had been wanting. She said she was pulling away. Howard said she hadn't been with boys that much. Demi said she had been with boys. She said she felt obliged to do something. She said she pushed it away in her mind because she felt like it was her fault. She said she felt like she had behaved in a way that was mature and she never looked at herself being a kid. She also never thought of it as rape. She said she was very embarrassed by it.
Howard said it's mind blowing that you don't see it as rape. He said years later she realizes it. Howard said this is happening to a lot of women. He said they're figuring out who their rapists were. Demi said she named him in the book but she didn't know his first name. She said it has com forward in some other way. Howard asked how she found out about it. Demi said the NY Times was asking about him and they tracked down his first name and the correct spelling.
Howard asked if the guy had a family or anything like that. Demi said he would say to her that he had daughters her age but he told her that she wasn't good enough to be around them. She said that's such a horrible thing.
Howard said he once asked her how it felt to be whored out by her mother for $500. Demi said he did. Howard said he doesn't get the forgiveness. He said she does that by the end of the book. Demi said she says in the book that it wasn't a conscious exchange. She said she thinks it was an unconscious one but she gave him the key. She said she never said anything to her about it. Demi said she felt so much shame and she just moved out of the house 2 days later.
Howard said when she moved out then these two parents who put her in danger kidnapped her and drove her home drunk. He said it's one story after another. He said he would have cracked. He said she did drugs and he gets why she did it. He asked what else she could have done.
Demi said forgiveness is essential. She said you have to go through anger and she has. She said she knows her parents were doing the best they could. Howard said not really. Demi said they didn't have the tools.
Howard said her father Danny angered him too. He said the way she wrote the book was great. He said he feels he got inside her head. Howard said when she was 15 she figured out that Danny wasn't her real dad. Howard said she checks out when she was born and figures out that Danny can't be her father. Then she confronts her mother. Howard said this guy was a scumbag because once she found out who he was he rejected her. Demi said that she thinks he may have thought that he was a failure. She said he was a dynamic and intelligent guy who was dealing with depression and self medicating. She said he was doing that with alcohol and pills.
Howard said this guy took her brother and moved away and stopped talking to her. Demi said he didn't know how to be with her. She said she never got the chance to find out why. She said he killed himself. She said her parents had an addiction to each other. She said her dad was 36 when he killed himself. Howard said he got angry because he abandoned her when she found out his story. Howard said he doesn't know how she got through all of this.
Howard said there's one story about her mother going to therapy and running off with the guy. Demi said you couldn't write that. She said it was absolutely real though. Howard asked if the book company was thinking this was all bull. Demi said there are people who have had it a lot worse than she has. Howard said he can't imagine there are people who have. He said she may not realize how bad she had it.
Howard said there's a moment in the book where her mother is passed out on pills after trying to commit suicide and she's scooping the pills out of her mouth while her father is trying to hold her down. Demi said they weren't doing this to her. She said they were trying to figure life out like we all are. She said in that moment when her mother's pain was so great that she tried to kill herself there's a part where what you have going on nothing seems to compare. She said she doesn't want to burden then with what she had.
Howard said she had to become the parent and deal with them. Howard said when she was shooting St. Elmo's Fire she fell for Emilio Estevez. He said he gets why because he had a fairly normal family. Demi said the whole thing was intoxicating. She said it was seeing something different than what she had. She said they were formidable figures. She said they had influence and guidance. Demi said she really appreciated how they were.
Howard said she also said that Charlie Sheen was a very sensitive guy. Demi said he really was and is. Howard asked if she was shocked when he had his breakdown on Two and a Half Men. Demi said she understood where it was coming from. She said if you don't go in then it will explode out. She said if you don't consciously do it then the universe will do it for you.
Howard asked if she regrets writing the book at all. Demi said not at all. Howard said doing the promotion has to be tough on her. Demi said she thinks the overall message so outweighs everything and she's so grateful for that. Howard said anyone who has been raped or has had a drug problem will appreciate the book.
Howard said Demi had the strength to move out at 15. He said that's something else. Howard said she had a modeling career too. She said she's not that tall. Demi said she's 5'6'' so she's not. She said that it didn't work out for her so they're right that you have to be tall. She said she was too short. She said she was able to work though. She said she did pay the rent. Howard asked if it bugs her that she didn't have a high school diploma. Demi said it does. She said she thought she wasn't smart and she thought that made her less. Howard said that will always be there.
Demi said she thinks about the things that she missed by not going to school. She said she wishes she had that.
Howard said her first big acting job was General Hospital. He asked how hard it is working on a soap like that. He said it has to be difficult. He said they throw 30 pages at you a day. Demi said it is unique and its own animal. She said they have teleprompter on set. She said you don't want to look like you're reading but you can. Howard asked if she was nervous on set the first day. Demi said she was but she held it back and didn't let it show.
Howard said Demi is on the set and this Luke and Laura were big at the time. Howard said Luke was a drinker and he drank with her. Demi said she crossed a line by drinking with him. She said he was doing it for a long time and she drank with him thinking that's what she should be doing too. She said when you're trying to learn and living life you think that's the cool thing to do. Howard said it must have been a stress relief. Demi said it was about fitting in and connecting.
Howard said what's amazing is that she started drinking a lot and then she found drugs. Demi said she doesn't have an off switch. She said she doesn't have the thing inside that says ''that's enough.'' Howard asked if that's from seeing her mother doing that. Demi said she thinks it's a chemical thing. Howard said he can diet down and get ripped for movies and you'd think you could control the drinking. Demi said she is all of those things but when you're masking emotional pain that thing that can take the edge off of the self loathing can be taken away.
Howard said it seems like everyone who comes into her life is awful to her. Demi said she thinks she just came into this life with these things and she has grown and learned from it.
Howard said it seems like she's doing very well after all of this. He said she seems very well rounded. Demi said she has learned from everything. She said she has been in therapy too.
Demi said her life has exploded and she thinks about how the fuck she got there. She said she did so much work on herself and then she sees where she ended up. Howard said she had such a tough life.
Howard said she works on General Hospital and ends up in the movie ''Blame it on Rio.'' He said she was so hot in that. Demi said she never thought of it that way. Howard said she looked great in it. He said he can't believe that she's telling him that. Demi said she's not saying that she was never attractive. Howard said there's a scene where Demi and her friend have to be in their bikini bottoms and walking topless. He said her breasts are covered by her hair but not. He said he's never seen a more perfect body. He asked if she thought she looked horrible. Demi said not horrible. She said she wasn't cast to be the main girl because she didn't have what that girl had.
Howard said after that movie she went in for Top Gun. Demi said that was after St. Elmo's Fire. Howard said she got into coke at some point. Demi said she got into that on Blame it on Rio. Demi said she was told to sober up for 15 days before she could shoot St. Elmo's Fire. She said that Joel Schumacher told her she had to clean up. She said it was a huge turning point for her. Howard said what a nice guy to do that. Demi said she's not sure why they stuck their heads out for her. She said she thinks it was a gift that really did help her. She said she went to rehab and this woman asked her if her life or the film was more important to her. She said it was the film. She said if they didn't do that for her then she may not have been able to stay on that path of staying sober.
Howard said she fell for Emilio on that movie too. Demi said she did. Howard said life on the set is so romantic. He said it represents a family life and it's almost like you have to fuck Emilio's brains out. Demi said it's sweeter than that. She said the shame she carried because of the rape made her feel she couldn't express herself sexually. Howard said he was wondering about this. He asked if she ever thought that this rapist was watching her in the movies. Demi said he was so blocked out. She said the shutdown that occurred is what drove her to achieve because she wanted to say it was okay that she was there.
Howard asked if Demi thought she had sexual problems in bed because she would withdraw with people. She explained to Howard what she thought was going on there.
Howard asked if she felt like she had to be the actor in bed. Demi said she doesn't know. Howard asked if she felt like she had to act. Demi said she doesn't think about herself as Demi Moore as the sexual hot person. Howard said he does. Demi said she needed to know her body and how it worked. She said that came on eventually. She said she beat herself up over it.
Howard said when she went on Letterman and went on in a bikini. Demi said Dave was doing a show in L.A. and they asked her to do the top 10 list in a bikini. Howard asked if she didn't want to do it because she's not just a body. Demi said she didn't because she thought of Dave as someone who had a job to do to deliver an hour of comedy. Howard asked if she has watched that segment. Demi said no because she wasn't comfortable in it. Howard said she was basically doing a striptease and it was an intoxicating performance. Howard said Dave was all charged up. Demi said Dave was great with her. Howard said everyone is great with her. Robin said apparently not from what she's been telling them.

Howard said the book is really great. He said she talks about doing G.I. Jane. She said that's like one of the only movies that she can watch. Howard said he has so many things to ask but he's getting the notice that he's out of time with her. Howard said he loves in G.I. Jane is that she got to train with the NAVY SEALS. Demi said it was her and 40 guys and she went down and started the training and she had stuff hanging in her closet. Howard asked what the training is. Demi said they went through pieces of all of the training. She said they had boots for her and made her run a mile first thing in the morning. She said she finished and puked her brains out. She said she went into the water later in the day. She said it was actors and extras learning about all of this.
Demi said she took her boots off and had blisters on her. She said she was told she didn't have to do all of this. She said she figured she had to do it to get the respect. She said she taped up her blisters and she went on with it. She said she was called by her character's name and never called her by her real name. She said she showed up late the second day and she was called to front and center and the guy yells at her to drop her fucking ass down into a lean and rest. She said he was screaming at her.
Howard said he has to get a hold of her again. He said he's being told they're out of time. He said he has so much to ask about. Howard asked about shooting Indecent Proposal. She said she called in from the set. She said they had a whole conversation. Howard asked if she admitted it was her. Demi said she did. She said he has to go back and listen to it. She said Howard didn't believe it was her.
Howard said he can't believe that the director was yelling at her to fuck the guy's brains out on the set of that movie. Demi said he was amazing. She said that he was really getting into it. Demi told Howard what he was saying to them and she and Woody Harrelson were wondering what was going on there. She said everyone was focused on him and not so much on them.
Howard asked how Woody doesn't get a boner on the set. Demi said she's not his type. Howard said the only one getting aroused was the director. Howard came back and said he has the great band Green Day in the studio. He said when he has great bands like this on the show he gets really charged up. He said this sis what he thinks he should be doing. He said he should be with them. He welcomed the guys, Tre, Billie and Mike to the show. Howard said he's known them for so long. Billie Joe said he remembers him coming to a show in like 1996. Howard said he got to see them doing a pre-show warm up and they were beating the shit out of each other. He said it was nuts.
Howard said the guys are there to promote their new album ''Father of All'' and asked if it's just Father of All or is Father Of All Mother Fuckers. Billie Joe said it's Father Of All Mother Fuckers. Howard said they have to say ''Father Of All...'' on radio apparently.
Howard asked who the father of all mother fuckers is. Billie Joe said that he thought of someone who could be the father of all mother fuckers. He said you can use your imagination for who that might be with everything that's going on right now.
Howard asked if Billie Joe writes that stuff down in a journal. Billie Joe said he does. Howard asked if they have more fun now or back in 1987 writing songs. He said back then there was no pressure. He said now they must have 10 times more pressure behind it. Billie Joe said it's always different. He said he thinks there's actually less pressure because you don't have to wait. He said you can just put stuff out.
Howard asked if this is the last album they're doing for the record company. Billie Joe said that it might be. He said they have to see what they offer them to keep them on. Howard said he must want them to back the truck up to them. Tre hit a bell and said that's their lawyer Howard Stern.
Howard asked if they could walk away and just put their own stuff out. Mike said they could do that. He said they can record 5 songs and put it out themselves. Howard said the record company doesn't want them doing that. Mike said there's digital and then hard records. Howard said they will get pissed if you put it out for free. Billie Joe said it's kind of free now. Howard said they are open to staying with the record company. Billie Joe said sure. He said the way things are structured now is different. He said they have always made albums and they're all about that. He said if they want to put something out like a single they don't have a contractual obligation to have it on an album.
Howard asked if they like what has happened with technology and this freedom they could have. Billie Joe said he likes it the new way. He said you can do it both ways. He said the fans from the Dookie era like to buy albums. He said they want to read the lyrics and look at the art. He said they generate new fans who want to download stuff and gobble it up. He said he has no issues with it.
Howard said he's going to start a band so he has to know the process of writing a song. He said he heard they will just get together and jam. He asked if they get together and just play. Billie Joe said he had a beat he wanted to do with Father of All Mother Fuckers. He said he went in with Tre and recorded in a garage basically. Howard asked how he tells Tre what he wants. Billie Joe said he just kind of beat boxes something with his mouth. Tre said he's a good drummer too so he'll get on the drums and play it for him. He said that works too. Billie Joe said that Mike will come in and play around with stuff too.
Howard said when they were done with American Idiot Billie Joe cried. Billie Joe said he was recording a song for the album. Howard said it has to be exhausting. Billie Joe said it's your brain working for a couple of years. He said he was kind of listening to the song and sonically it was a bittersweet moment.
Howard said no one is doing protest music anymore. He said they're like the last of a dying breed. He said no one is making protest songs. Billie Joe said he thinks we're so bombarded with all of this different information and negative stuff. He said it's hard to feel inspired by something. He said if you're watching the news channels and seeing the negativity and the grossness of where we're at it's hard to feel inspired. He said he thinks there's more escapism now.
Howard said he's been watching MSNBC lately. He said there are different realities on FOX and MSNBC. He said he's not sure how we're on such a different page. He said music has to be an escape from all of that.
Billie Joe said Father of All Mother Fuckers is about escapism and how fucked up things are. He said we're in a new kind of depression right now.
Howard said Billie Joe is in another band that just does covers. Billie Joe said they have friends over to just play covers. Howard asked if they go on the road at all. Mike said you'd have to come to Oakland to see that. Howard asked if this cover band is in clubs or not. Billie Joe said they will come to New York to do it some day. Howard asked what songs they cover. Billie Joe said they cover anything with Dancing With Myself or some Bowie songs. He said they cover Suffragette City. Howard said that riff gets him. They played that riff for Howard.
Howard said this is a great way to end their trip. He said they're going to perform ''American Idiot'' for them. Howard had the guys go right into the song.
After the song Howard said that was great. He said it looks like so much fun. He sake if it's hard to do at this time of morning. Billie Joe said a little bit. Howard said he sounded great. Howard said Tre is so great too. He asked him to do the break in the song a little bit. Tre did it for him. Howard said they're so great live. He said they must be aware of how they stand when they're playing. He said it's so god damn macho.
Howard said he was thinking about how they have their hair. He said it's so great. Howard said he thanks god that he has his hair. He said just imagine what he'd look like without hair. The guys laughed. Billie said he has a giant head himself.
Howard said Jason an Billie trade off lead guitar. He said it seems kind of effortless. Billie Joe said they met Jason on the first Green Day tour in 1990. He said they're friends and they weave in and out of the stuff. Howard asked if he was nervous coming into the band. Jason said of course he was.
Howard asked if the guys are like brothers in a way. Mike said he thinks they're closer than they used to be. He said they've chosen to stick together this long. Howard said they have so much history. Billie Joe said he thinks that sets them apart from some of the new bands. He said they've been together for 30 some years. Howard said some bands can't stay together.
Howard said the guys have a tour they're doing with Weezer and Fall Out Boy. He said it sounds like a lot of fun. He said it would be cool if the Stones and Beatles went out together. Mike said they've been friends with Weezer for a really long time. He said it's going to be a lot of hanging out and going bowling. Howard asked if that's what he imagines. Mike said they do rent out a movie theater to watch a movie. He said it's a great way to sneak liquor into a theater. He said they can do that with water parks too. Howard said that sounds like what Elvis used to do.
Howard said the new album ''Father Of All'' will be out in February. Howard asked what they need to know about the title song. Billie Joe said that he wrote about money for the first time. Howard asked what they think about money since they have a lot of it now. Billie Joe said it feels weird. He said they come from such broke backgrounds. He said his dad was a truck driver and his brother was a plumber. He said to have compared to having not is such a trip. Howard asked if he was ashamed of it and asking why me? Billie Joe said it's just kind of weird. Howard said if you think about it for Green Day money is the last taboo. He said he was always embarrassed to read about how much money he made. He said he doesn't want people being jealous.
Howard asked if they're going to do the new song. Billie Joe said they are. Howard asked if he knows the lyrics. Billie Joe said he thinks he does. He said he forgets lyrics sometimes on stage. He said he might need a Teleprompter.
Howard said they had Billie Eilish on the show and she really idolizes them. Howard said Billie said she didn't want to be answering questions. She wanted to hear Billie Joe talking. Billie Joe said that Finneas is great too. Howard said he's so talented. Howard said they found out that Billie was conceived by in vitro and she didn't know that when her mother revealed it on the show. Billie Joe said she was home spun and home schooled. Howard said exactly.
Howard said the guys are going to perform the title track from their new album ''Father Of All...'' They went into the song after that.
After the song Howard said that was beautiful. Howard asked if it's hard to perform without a guitar in his hand. Billie Joe said not at all. He said he likes to do that just to sing. Howard said he's watching Jason perform. He asked how long it would take to perform like that. Jason said he could have Howard up and going n 4 months or so. Howard said that song was just beautiful. Jason said he's been playing since he was 9.
Billie Joe asked if Howard had a band called The Dorks or something. Howard said it was The Losers. He joked that how dare he not know his band name.
Howard said it's amazing that they go bowling to have fun now. He said that's the orgy of today. He said you used to fuck girls but now it's bowling. Mike said they still have their balls in their hands. Tre said you can only fit 3 fingers in a bowling ball. Howard said god knows where these fingers have been.
Howard asked Billie Joe if he likes the Prince soundtrack for Batman. Billie Joe said he remembers it being pretty good. Howard said he thinks it was the best work he ever did. Robin said that's not true. Howard asked Billie Joe about wanting to channel Prince when he did this song. Billie Joe said he didn't want to sound like himself. He said he wanted to sound different. He said he told their producer not to laugh when he tried this new sound.
Howard said he can picture Tre laughing at him when he did that. Tre said he loved it. Howard said he likes that. He said as a lead singer you have to be willing to try new styles.

He asked if anyone rides one. Billie Joe said they all do now. Mike said he has one. He said Mike rides him around on his. Tre said he has fallen off a bike. He said he fell of a BMW once.
Howard said this trip to L.A. was a big thing for them. He said he can't think of a better way to end it. He said he really appreciates them coming in. He said he knows the audience is flipping out over it.
Howard said the guys are going to wrap it up with the song ''Wake Me Up When September Ends.'' Howard said he knows this song means a lot to Billie who wrote it because when he was 10 years old he lost his father and his mother told him to come out of his room. He said Billie told his mom to wake him up when September ends. He said it's something that stayed with him all that time. Billie Joe said it's something that just stuck with him. He said when you're that young it's like life starts at year zero again. He said he doesn't remember his father that well. He said he's not sure if he was close to him or not. He said he knows he was a good man. Howard said his mother was alone now too so that must have put a burden on him. Billie Joe said a lot of them were rallying around her and being supportive.
Howard asked if he still thinks about the line being about his father. He said he must channel his father the first few times. He asked if he still think about his father. Billie Joe said he thinks about him every day. He said it's the elephant in the room all the time. He said he avoided writing about him for many years and then he had a breakthrough. He said it felt good to do that. Howard said he's going to let them do the song now. They went right into the song ''Wake Me Up When September Ends.''
After the song Howard said that was some fuckin' riff. He asked if they knew they nailed it when they laid it down. Billie Joe said he thought it was a breakthrough as a song writer. He said they had the song on the CD and he ran over to Tre's house with it. He said he did a demo of it for him to hear. Howard asked if he's in the song writing hall of fame. Billie Joe said he didn't know there was one. Howard said it's remarkable that they've been this prolific.
Howard said Demi Moore was on the show earlier. He said she was on Letterman in the bikini and Green Day followed her on that show. Billie Joe said he was thinking about that. Howard asked if they got to say hi to her. Billie Joe said he didn't get a chance.
Howard said this tour is going to be amazing. He said that they didn't get to say hi to the rest of the band. He quickly mentioned them. Howard said he remembers playing records when he started out in radio and he's thinking about how great it is to be listening to these guys performing there with him. He said he's getting emotional. Howard said he can't think of a better way to go out. Howard wrapped up, gave the guys some plugs and ended the show aroudn 2:15pm.
