Howard and the guys were back from vacation today. Howard started the show talking to Jimmy Kimmel who was sitting in. Howard said they Love L.A. so much they just stayed out there. Jimmy said it seems like a dungeon in there now that they have had the new studio out in L.A. Howard said Jimmy is in town to do his show in Brooklyn so he stopped by the show. He let out a belch and Jimmy said he loves that. He said it's a nice surprise when he does it. Howard said it's disgusting. Jimmy said his wife hates it. Robin said she gets disgusted by it too. Howard said it's a little Easter egg for everyone.
Howard said he loves to belch and keep going like nothing happened. He said someone might miss it and not know what happened. Jimmy said no one misses it. Howard said he burps and apologizes for it. Jimmy said that's good too. Jimmy said he's pioneered a lot and no one has copied that. Robin said he never does that when he has guests in there. Howard said other than Jimmy.
Jimmy said he farts in front of his wife. Howard said he started taking Metamucil and it's been so good for his doody. Jimmy said he has ordered those things. Howard said he got really gassy. He said his office smells like shit in there from farting so much.
Howard said he's been watching the show Euphoria on the HBO Go app. He said he has some suggestions on how to make that app better. Jimmy said he has HBO Now and he wants them to get rid of one of them to stop the confusion. Jimmy said they have one for those who don't subscribe to HBO and one for those who don't. Howard said he has HBO Go so that's what he's watching. He said they have that Zendaya and that trans woman on the show. He said she's really good. Howard said the thing about the app is that it doesn't keep track of where you left off so you can pick up from there. He said you'd think they'd get that together.
Howard said going back to L.A. the studio out there was nice. He said he feels better in this studio though. He said he likes this set better. Jimmy said the room is purple. He said he's not sure why. He said it's a combination of a strip club and 1994. Howard said it was very bright out there in L.A. He said he felt like they were Kelly and Ryan. He said he thinks he looks better with less light. He said he felt he looked okay out there. He said it's very early in the morning and it feels like dawn or dusk in there. He said out there it was like ''wake up everybody!'' He said he thought about making it bright there. He said the couch was better out there.
Jimmy said he thinks it might need more light in there. Howard said people said he sounded up tempo out there too. He said it was nice starting later. He said it was cold out there in the mornings. He said he was surprised by that.
Howard said he's always cold and he was cold out there. He said he talked about drinking hot water out there with him. He asked if it's okay he talked about how relaxed he is on vacation. Jimmy said it was fine. Howard said everyone can buy weed out there and get professionally rolled stuff. He said you come to New York and they have to call their weed dealer to get weed. He said it's weird that it's the same country.
Howard said it's also weird that you can apply that to abortion and things like that. He said in this country there has to be some sort of universal approach to weed and abortion. He said you can go in an buy a gun in some states without that much oversight. He said you can buy an AR in Florida. He said in New york you have it watered down. He said someone has to make a decision on that. Robin asked who that would be. Howard said it would be him.
Howard said it's the same with fireworks. Jimmy asked when he last lit fireworks. Howard said he doesn't remember. Jimmy said they went on vacation together and Howard went to bed before they lit off this fireworks display for like 25 people. Howard said he and his wife don't like fireworks. He said they hate Halloween too. He said it's all annoying. Robin said he likes to put out candy. Howard said he doesn't like to. He has to because he's famous. He said it's not fun to see the kids in their costumes. He said he despises it. He said he despises the fireworks too. He said as a kid he liked them for destructive purposes. He said as an adult he sees them as dangerous. He said they're not beautiful to him. He said nature is. He said in Manhattan he hates when they set them off. He said he gets pissed when things are making noise there in the city.
Howard asked if Jimmy likes fireworks. Jimmy said he does. Robin said they do fireworks at everything now. She said they do them at weddings. Jimmy said he's okay with that but he doesn't like to hear them on July 3rd or any other date that they're not supposed to be lit off. He said he likes sitting on a beach watching them. Robin said it's wonderful.
Howard said people act like it's a license to be lawless. He said he doesn't like that. He doesn't like anything that makes people congregate in one area. Jimmy said Howard hates fun. Howard said that's it.
Howard said he had to go to a movie. He said he had to recover from L.A. so they took a week off. He said he was tired. He said the other thing he hates about the fireworks is people letting their pets out and then they run away because they're scared.
Howard said speaking of Halloween Richard is wearing his Halloween underwear. Jimmy said he finds that charming. Howard said he's a charming idiot. He said that's why Jimmy likes him. He said he's like one of those math geniuses who can do any kind of math. He said you take that away from them and they're just assholes. He said you like Rain Man and Forest Gump because they're like that.
Howard said he came back from L.A. and took the week off. He said during the week Beth said they should go see a movie. He said that's her way of saying being alone with him for a week might be too much. He said they saw ''Joker'' and he thought it was great. Robin said she did too. Jimmy said there was part of it he didn't like. He said he doesn't want to spoil it for people. He said he didn't like the end. Howard said he gets that. Jimmy said he's not spooked in general but he didn't like the ending. Howard said he knows what he's saying. He said he always thought that about America's Got Talent.
Howard said he hates going out in public. He said he doesn't like bed bugs and they say theaters are full of them. Robin said they say that they can't support them in the seats they have. Howard said he didn't have a plastic chair. Robin said he didn't go to the right place then. Howard said he went to a place with cloth seats. He said he comes home and takes everything off and throws them in the washing machine. He said it's like he murdered someone and tried to cover it up.
Howard said he told Beth what he was doing to give her a hint that she should do the same. He said he's a clean freak so she was going to do it anyway. He said he's never smelled her being human at all. He said that turns him on. Jimmy said Molly has smelly feet. Howard said she never farts in front of him though. Jimmy said that's right. He said her feet are smelly. He said she doesn't wear socks. He said that might be part of it. Jimmy said he'd throw things out if they smell. He said Adam Carolla had smelly sandals and they were driving once and he took them off and chucked them out the window of the car. He said he had to pull over and get a new pair of shoes.
Howard said no man should ever wear open toed shoes. He said you wear sneakers or something. Howard said guy's toes with their hair is disgusting. Jimmy said no one wants to see that.
Howard asked when Jimmy realized his wife had smelly feet. Jimmy said it was pretty early on. Howard said if Beth had smelly feet he wouldn't tell anyone. Jimmy said he tells everyone. He said he made an announcement. He said she acknowledges that she has smelly feet and he agreed. He said she's always embarrassed by it. He said it makes him laugh. He was cracking up telling the story. Jimmy said he somehow brought it up with George Clooney and by the end of the night people were sniffing her feet. He said he thinks George sniffed them and his wife may have too. He said Jennifer Aniston may have sniffed them too. He said he was laughing so hard at all of that. He said after that she congratulated him on bringing that up. Howard said she should wear little socks. Jimmy said sometimes she does.
Howard said he has a product he's going to send her. He said he has a new advertiser. He said it's Loomi. He said it's a deodorant that doesn't have aluminum in it. He said that he's been looking for something like that for a long time. He said it's odorless and fantastic. Jimmy said nothing would make him happier than him sending Molly something like that. Howard said they have this tube of stuff that does away with other body odors. He said she could use it for that. Jimmy said he'll sit done with her and if they're still married he'll suggest that to her.
Howard said how about a segment on his show where a celebrity comes in to sniff his wife's feet. Jimmy laughed. Howard asked who he has on his show tonight. Jimmy said they have Bruce Springsteen on. Howard said it would be great if they had him sniff her feet.
Howard said he would love to interview this guy but he won't do it. He said Jimmy knows why. He asked if he has questions for Bruce. Jimmy said he feels like he's hard on himself. He said he thinks that Bruce is hard on himself and he wants to talk to him about that. He said he has a new documentary and he talks about each song on this Western Stars album he has out. He said he loves hearing the stories behind the songs. He said he hates when the performer says it's up to you to figure it out. Howard said he doesn't like that either. He said when he had Billie Eilish on the show she told him about what each song was about. He said you love to hear that. Robin said that's why Bruce's Broadway show was great. She said they learned where the songs came from.
Howard asked who he has on the rest of the week. Jimmy said he's a big fan of Springsteen's. He said he was thinking about if Bruce recycles at home. Howard said he would love to know. He said he loves the minutia of people's lives. Robin said she can't imagine him touching garbage. Jimmy said he probably handles a shovel. Howard said he just wants him to smell Molly's feet.
Howard said later in the week he has Eddie Murphy on. He said he'd love to have him on. Jimmy said he thinks it's too early for him to come in. Howard said he'd let him come in at 10. He said they could work that out. He said they have offered him things like that but he hasn't come in.
Howard said he felt good getting out of the house going to see the Joker movie. He said it was an amazing performance. He said he was thinking about Robert Downey Jr. and how he should have been nominated for an Oscar. He said it was an amazing acting job. He said Joaquin Phoenix was great in the Joker and Robert Downey Jr. was great as Iron Man. He said he should have been nominated.
Howard said he's looking at his guest list for this week. He said that Springsteen will be smelling Molly's feet. Jimmy said they were up all last night with their son vomiting all over them. He said she's going to love this show today. Howard asked what it smells like. Jimmy said that it's like vinegar. He said he wonders what happened to Sour Shoes. Howard said they don't know. He said he just disappears. He said he's a real artist. He said he just goes off and does his own thing. He said they can't get him under control. He said he marches to his own tune.
Howard said calling Molly ''sour shoes'' might not work out well. Jimmy said she likes to wear just a few pair of shoes. He said she has a lot but she goes to just these few. He said she has one pair that are so bad that his eyes light up when she wears them. He said she tells him to leave her alone.
Jimmy said he was going to pour vinegar on Molly's feet and have her sister smell them thinking they won't smell bad. He said he did it and he had her smell them. He said he was video taping it. He said he didn't have the vinegar part in there. He said he has her gagging and telling her that she has to wash her feet. He said he was laughing so hard. He said he doesn't think Molly likes it but she finds humor in it occasionally. Howard said he's seen her being goofed on and he thinks she likes it at times.
Howard said Jimmy is quite the practical joker. He said he was told that when he visits their show they give out a gift bag and Jimmy hides all of the stuff around. Jimmy said he heard about that and he never did that. He said he has the gift bag in his car and it will be in there for 6 months. Howard said he heard that they give out good gift bags. He said he knows that they give out nice stuff at Kimmel's show. He said Beth wears his t-shirt all the time. He said they have to give out some Loomi in their gift bag. He said he will send some of that to Molly.
Howard said Jimmy has revamped Crank Yankers and they have a much bigger budget. Jimmy said it's actually not. He said they can do things digitally that they didn't do before. He said his brother Jonathan runs the show and he loves the puppets and stuff they do.
Howard said today Jimmy brought them an exclusive. He said this is Jimmy working on Crank Yankers. Jimmy said this is the character Terrence that he does on the show. He said he makes calls on behalf of celebrities. He said he called Bobby Brown and he loves the agent character that Howard does so he did this because of Howard's agent character.
Howard played the call and Jimmy did his character and called Bobby Brown and told him that Millie Bobby Brown wants to buy his name from him. Bobby said no when he was asked if he would give up his name. Jimmy kept going with the bit for quite a long time. Bobby said there's no way he's giving up his name.
Howard said he learned a lot in that. He said he learned there's a Bobby Brown food line. He said he's never heard of it. Robin asked what he eats that other people want to eat. Howard said he also learned that he doesn't know what Crisco means. Jimmy said he may have been ignoring that. Howard said you'd think at this point he'd take the money to change his name. He said he had a lot of thoughts during that bit. He said he sees that his brother is going to be on the Wrap Up Show tomorrow. Jimmy said that's right.
Jimmy said they have Bill Murray coming in to make some calls for Crank Yankers. Howard asked how that works. Jimmy said he hasn't done it yet but he'll let him know how that goes.
Jimmy said he was loving the blimp call that Rocky Pendergast made. He said they could make that into a great Crank Yankers segment.
Howard asked if he would send the shoes to King. Jimmy said he'd have to ask Molly. Howard said King used to pay women to let him smell their shoes to jerk off. Jimmy asked where he was getting this stuff. King said you can get it on eBay. He said he never did that but you can get them there. He said around the neighborhood he'd ask women for that. Howard asked how you ask a woman to do that. He said you're lucky to get one woman to do that. King said that's the funny part. He said you have to ease into it. He said you might say something to them and they get disgusted. He said then you want them more. Jimmy said King is like Oscar the Grouch has come to life. He said he likes smelly things.
Howard asked if he has ever taken stuff out of the garbage. King said no way. He said you don't know the source. He said he would do that if he could see who the person is.
Howard said he doesn't get any of this. He said he is just so happy just putting his penis in a woman. He said he doesn't need this kind of thing. He said he doesn't need any kink. He said he's a straight ahead kind of guy.
King said he was thinking about this the other night. He said his wife's foot was out of the blanket and then he was watching TV and looked over and he felt a tingle in his underwear. He said he had to go full speed ahead. He said he pulled her foot and she pulled it back. He said he took her shoe into the other room and masturbated with it.
Howard asked if he was nude on the couch. King said he was. Howard said he doesn't get that. He asked if he wishes that she was smellier. King said he does.
Howard said he heard that Molly flew back to L.A. Jimmy said he might have to stay at Howard's house. Howard said they got him rolling with the foot discussion. Howard hung up on King after he got more into the feet thing.
Howard said it was nice hanging with Jimmy and Molly. He said they went out to dinner one night. He said they have quite the bromance. Howard wondered if Jimmy is going to date when Molly leaves him over this.
Howard took a call from a woman who said you can get an activated charcoal pouch to put in the shoes. Jimmy said he actually has. He said he puts those Dr. Scholls in there. Howard said this is a big deal. He said Molly could do a commercial for Loomi.
Howard took a call from a guy who said King is a sad, broken man. Howard said Jimmy is checking his phone now. Jimmy said he's just making sure his son is okay. He said he's been sick and he's throwing up. He said last night he threw up all over. He said Molly brought him into bed with them. He said he cuddled with him. He said he wanted to bring a towel into bed in case he threw up again. He said Molly said he won't do it again. He said 20 minutes later he was covered in vomit.
Howard said Molly is going to be so upset with him today. Jimmy said Howard is going to be in trouble too. Howard said he didn't smell anything by the pool out there. Jimmy said that's because there's chlorine around.
Howard took a call from Bobo who said the L.A. audience loved him out there on Jimmy's show. Howard said he had a good time with Jimmy. He said he felt good doing the show. He said he wanted to see Aaron Paul. He said he wanted to say hello because he loved the ''El Camino'' movie. He said he enjoyed his performance and finding out what happened to his character. Jimmy said he has heard nothing but positive things about it. Robin said she wasn't a fan of it.
Howard said he saw The Irishman early. He said he liked that too. He said it's like Goodfellas.
Bobo said when Howard sang that song to Jimmy he had love in his eyes. Howard said he was trying to decide what to do out there and he said he might sing a love song to Jimmy. He said he told Will this and Will asked what he was going to sing. He said he was going to sing a Zeppelin song to him. He said he didn't know the words to it and there was no way they could clear that. He said they'd have to cut it. He said he does know the Carpenters song so he did that instead. He said he was also thinking about how he was going to propose to his wife on Ellen the next day. He said he wanted to do that on her show but then he had to come up with something for Jimmy's show. He said he proposed to Beth on his show instead. He said they needed that for Jimmy's show. He said he did a little romance on the show. He said he thought she'd reject him again and he was caught off guard when she said yes.
Howard said he told the producer there that they should sit her somewhere that he can grab her easily. He said he didn't want to give her a heads up. He said he has asked her before and she has said no. He said he told her she fucked it up.
Jimmy said you can't expect her to come up with no on TV. He said one of his favorite bits is when Howard forgets that Bobo is on the line and you just hear him making noises in the background. Bobo was doing that.
Howard took a call from fake Bruce Springsteen who was talking about how he can't wait to come in and smell Molly's feet. He started to sing a song but Howard hung up on him.
Howard let Bobo go and Jimmy said that he has a picture of Howard in the snake bite boots. He said that wasn't a bad look. He said it was kind of a cool look. He said he'll have to find it to show Robin.
Howard said Jimmy made a point about how the Emmys need a host. He said he was right about that. Jimmy said you need a host. He said someone has to go up and say something if something goes wrong. He said at the end of the Oscars they screwed it up and he felt like he had to go up and say something.
Howard said if something cool happened on stage in the old days someone would say they had to talk about it. He said he thinks a host is required. Jimmy agreed. He said the shows are too long and there's no drama about who is going to win. Howard said he'll take more calls and then take a break. He asked if Jimmy can stick around. Jimmy said he has to leave at 8:30. He has to go to Kelly and Ryan.
Howard said he thinks that they should have brought back Regis. He said he thinks that he would have wanted people to know that he started that show. Jimmy said he doesn't think that Kelly would think that. Howard said he thinks that she might think that she should have been told by Regis that he was leaving the show. Jimmy said Regis didn't leave the show on his own.
Howard took a call from a guy who said it's a simple fix for the feet. He said you throw away those stinky shoes and scrub your feet. Jimmy said he says the same thing to her. He said he'll be in the shower and he'll sit down and wash his feet and show her what he's doing. He said he'll tell her she can do this too.
Howard asked if they still shower together. Jimmy said they do. Howard said Beth won't do it with him.
Gary said Howard was right about Regis. He said Regis says that they don't talk and Kelly thinks he left because of her so she got offended. Howard said he didn't leave because of her though. He said he was able to talk about the most mundane shit and make it interesting. Jimmy said he was out trying to find things to talk about every day. He said he'd be out with a Polaroid camera taking pictures of everyone he was out with.
Howard said he appreciates that because the crowd was like real fans. He said they were excited that he was there. The caller said Howard gets a great response on those shows. He said JD getting high was really interesting too. Howard said he's going to get to that and more updates after Jimmy leaves.
Howard said they had to get a medic for JD when they went to that cafe. Robin asked if he was a real medic. Howard said he's not sure. He said JD has become a pot head. He said it's amazing. He said he has to read this thing to Jimmy. Robin said she was disappointed that day. Howard said watching him trying to light that lighter was something. He said he felt like Superman when he lit that lighter.
Howard read a note about how JD smoked with Jason and they smoked one of his super joints. He said JD went back to the cafe on Wednesday and he was chain smoking them one after the other. He said then he did an edible with Will on Sunday.
Howard asked if JD has thrown in on this. JD said he hasn't smoked since he got back to New York but he's willing to try. He said he wants to try it out.
JD said he needs to learn how to inhale better. He said he's not sure if he's doing that right. Jimmy said he likes the idea of him practicing inhaling.
Brent came in and said that when JD is smoking he looks like he's been doing it for years. He said his anxiety goes away. He said he looked like the coolest guy at the table. Jimmy said that must have been some table. Brent said he looked like he had been smoking for years. Howard said he has to get to Brent later.
Howard asked if Jimmy is going to do more of these old show recreations like he did with the Norman Lear shows. Jimmy said they want to do that twice a year. He said he had fun doing them. He said it was so much fun. Howard said they won an Emmy for that. He said Jimmy didn't win an Emmy for his late night show. He asked if he's upset that John Oliver keeps winning. Jimmy said he's not upset. He said they are upset that it's a weekly show that wins when they do it nightly.
Howard said doing a late night talk show is different than doing a weekly show. He said they have time to come up with jokes and use the best of them on that one night. Howard asked if he'd do a weekly show. Jimmy said no. He said it would be easier to do it once a week but it's not a viable option.
Howard said he has to let Jimmy go. He went over the stuff they learned today about Jimmy and everything he's up to. Howard gave him plugs for the Crank Yankers shows and his week of shows there in Brooklyn.
Howard took a call from a guy who asked Jimmy if they're going to see Underdog on the show doing a dance. Howard said he seems to be the one guy who can get her interested in TV again. He said he pissed her off by not having her on the show. Jimmy said he's not sure why she felt that way. Howard asked if he heard Shuli's report on that. Jimmy said he did. Howard ask if his show is too big to have her on. Jimmy said when she was on they were on later. Howard said she used to have a slot. Jimmy said they had a slot for her then.
Howard said he has a clip of Underdog being upset with Jimmy. He played a clip of Shuli talking to Underdog about how Jimmy never followed through on having her on the show. Jimmy said he loved how she revealed that she was forced to dress up in outfits when she was in college.
Howard said he doesn't think Underdog has a shot at getting back on his show. Jimmy said slotting her between Springsteen and Alicia Keys probably won't happen. He said they have the feet thing to work on too.
Jimmy said they might be able to do it and just put it online instead of putting it on TV. Howard said she might figure that out. Howard wished Jimmy luck with he shows in Brooklyn and with his wife and her feet. Jimmy said she might not have heard the show. He said she may be with him when she hears the show today.
Howard asked if he could avoid her hearing this. Jimmy said probably not. He said she's probably gotten 30 texts from people about it. Howard asked if he will put a spin on it. Jimmy said he will tell her it will be great for her and she might think twice about washing her feet. He said he'll think of something else. He said he'll blame his brother John for this whole thing.
Howard asked who he would want to date if Molly left him. Jimmy said he's not sure he would date a famous person. Howard said he hopes that nothing happens. He said he would remain friends with both of them if they did break up. He said Beth loves Molly.
Howard gave Jimmy some plugs for his Brooklyn shows and Jimmy said hey have some surprise guests coming this week. He said that they're big. Howard tried guessing who it might be. He said it's always Oprah. He said there are two people in the class of Bruce Springsteen that they will have on. Howard said he can't wait to hear Molly's reaction to the show. Howard wrapped up and went to break a short time later.

He said everyone is dropping like flies. He said it was Robert Forster. He said he was in that Breaking Bad movie. Robin said that's right. She said she had just seen him. Howard said they have to get a Brent update. He said it was fun being out in L.A. He said their plan was to do a 2-3 hour show each day but they went longer. He said they were going to keep it short but every show was kind of exciting. He said he loved Seth Rogen and Snoop together. He said he has a lot of email about the shows out there. He said it might sound like an ad for the show if he reads them.
Howard said people like it when they travel. He said people were fascinated by JD not being able to use a lighter. He said he didn't know he might have physical problems. Robin said even people with mental challenges can light a lighter. Howard read some email about that. Howard said he thinks about being in a plane crash and how he might not know how to start a fire if he was out in the wilderness. He said JD had a lighter and wasn't able to light it.
Howard asked JD what he makes of that. JD said he never lights things. He said the clicker things work for him. Howard asked if he has never had to light anything. He said he was kind of showing off in front him lighting a lighter in front of him. He said he doesn't get it. JD said he doesn't either. Howard said man has a thumb and JD's isn't fully developed. JD said his thumb can't keep a grip. He said he can't figure out how to do that. Robin asked if he's like that with both hands. JD said he would think so.
Howard asked if there are other tools he doesn't know how to use. JD said he can use a hammer and screwdriver. Howard said he has a new game where they can find out what JD can't do. Howard asked if he can use a can opener. JD said he has had trouble with them in the past. Howard said the clicker thing is even harder to use than a lighter because it has a safety on it. JD said that has foiled him too.
Howard asked JD what he did when he went to the weed place. JD said he had Brent light him up. Howard said maybe it's not for him because he can't light his own joints. Howard asked if he would ever try to practice using it. JD said no because he never lights stuff with a lighter. Robin said everyone can light a lighter. JD said everyone is better than him then. Howard played a song parody about JD. Howard asked if JD could fix a tire. JD said fuck no. Howard asked if he can tie a tie. JD said he has to have someone tie them for him. Howard said he had to do that when he was 5.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he's not saying it to be nice but he has such a great look going. He said he looks fantastic. He said he looked so relaxed and handsome on Bill Maher's show. He said he had a genuine laugh and smile on the show and it was awesome. He said Bill Maher was so odd when he tried to show him affection.
Howard said he had a good time on Bill's show. He said it was delightful sitting there with Bill. He said he stayed an extra day out there to do his show. He said he had to sit around and wait for him to do the show at 7pm out there. He said he sat around all day and was nervous to do anything. He said he knew he had to work that night. He said he was sitting there wondering what to do. He said he did his Peloton workout. He said he wants to know who the guys think is the best instructor on Peloton. Gary said it was Jen Sherman. Benjy came in and said he has to describe her. He started to do that but Howard cut him off and said he can go now. He said he'll talk to him later. He said he didn't want to get into it with him. Gary said Benjy said he knows who she is. He was only able to describe her though.
Howard said he should have played the Benjy Get out song. He played that even though he was already gone.
Howard said Gary was right about the best instructor. He said it's Jen Sherman. He said she is great. He said she's not all caught up in her own thing. He said she tells you what to do and then tells you what to set the bike to. He said some of the instructors you can't even understand a word their saying. He said they shout and carry on and this woman is able to get it out there. He said she shouts out to him but she doesn't need to do that. He said Benjy doesn't even get that. He said that she's the best instructor.
Howard said at first it was like porn. He said he was checking out all of the instructors. He said they he realized that he was working out and didn't need that.
Howard thanked the caller for the call and let him go. He said it was very nice of him to call in about that.
Howard said Beth thinks that this Peloton is ruining her life. He said he has to do that and she wants to walk. He said he'll walk with her but she has to schedule it. He said he has to do a catch up break. He said then they will get to more of the L.A. stories. He said they have to do this over the next couple of days because there's so much to catch up on. He said he'll do a Brent update today. He said he hopes that Brent can hold up to this. He said it's kind of brutal. They went to break after that.

Howard took a call from a guy who said he has to stop knocking Nirvana. Howard said he's not knocking them. The caller also mentioned the bed bugs at the theater thing and wanted to hear more about the movie.
Howard belched again and said he has to read his live commercials and wolf down this fruit plate he gets every morning. He said he eats and then he has to belch. He said the fruit almost comes up. He said this is abnormal what he does for a living. He said you shouldn't have to eat while you're working. He said they shouldn't even be doing a 4 hour show. He said he's been thinking about this. He said he can't do 4 hours a day. He said he has to cut back to maybe 3. Robin said she hears him. Howard said these podcasts go on once a week for an hour. Robin asked if he's trying to emulate podcasters. Howard said no, he's just saying that people like that format.
Howard said the show SEAL Team mentioned SiriusXM. He said he thought that was a nice shout out. Robin said she hopes it was a shout out. Howard said that show is so good. He said FBI and SEAL Team are good shows.
Howard said the movie Joker was excellent. He said he didn't think his wife would like it. He said it wasn't really a super hero movie. He said it was this guy's breakdown and it was more about mental illness. He said Joaquin Phoenix was phenomenal in it. He said he should win an Oscar for that performance. Robin said Heath Ledger won for the Joker too. Robin said he got the supporting award. Howard said he got Best Actor. The caller and Robin said it was supporting actor. Howard said he didn't know that. He said he thinks that Joaquin will win it.
Howard said Beth needed some oxygen so she dragged him out of the house. He said she wanted to go to dinner too. He said he told her he'd only do one or the other. Robin said he's doing what his mother told him to do, just one thing.
Howard said his mother called him 3 times after he got back from L.A. He went into his impression of his mother and said she's going to be 92 on October 22nd. He said she says she's only alive to take care of his father. He said his dad is 96. He did his impression of her telling him why she's there. He said she's been saying that since she was like 30. He said she did that when he was in high school. He said she doesn't live like she's ready to go. He said she won't even leave the house. Howard had his mother talking about going out to eat with his father and Ellen. He did his dad's voice talking about eating herring and stuff like that.
Howard had his mother talking about Ellen going to Bagel Boss with them. Howard asked what they have there. He had his mother responding and talking about what they order and how they can get it to go. He had her laughing as she told the story.
Howard said she's been calling him and asking about how he's doing because she hasn't heard from him. He said he talked to her on Monday and she was calling to make sure he was okay. She said that it was a lot on him to go to L.A. Howard said he tries to be upbeat about it. He said he went and had a positive experience. He said she thinks it was more like a bank robbery out there. Howard said his mother asked what he did all week that they were off. He said he told her he slept a lot. Howard said she's almost disappointed that he didn't get sick.
Howard said he told his mother about going out there and how he had a good time. He said then she's asking who needs all of that. She said he's done enough with his life. Robin said she wants him to sit with her all day.
Brent came in and said that it took Benjy 6 minutes to order. He said it was going on forever. He said he kept asking for no cheese and all of that. Howard said it's like he wants to interact with people. Brent said they had a lot of people there. Howard said Benjy is eating something because he's like 260 pounds. Brent said it was exhausting. He said he and Memet had somewhere to be. He said they put in their orders in seconds and then Benjy took 6 minutes. He said he started a timer and it was six minutes. He said he was asking the waiter a ton of questions.
Howard asked how you stretch that out. Chris Wilding was in the studio and said he doesn't know. He said Brent wanted something special too. He said Memet ordered some appetizers and he had to put it all on his credit card. Howard said they all had expense accounts out there. Chris said he ordered expensive things. He said he didn't want to have everyone paying for it. He said he should have just split it all equally.
Howard said he heard they had to split up tables out there. He said they had 4 tables. He said Benjy, Chris, Memet and Rahsaan were at one table and didn't get along.
Howard said he heard Memet was upset he wasn't on the air and he was moping around. Gary said everyone said that he was very mopey out there. He said someone even talked to him about it. Howard said he's not sure why he would be in a bad mood. Chris said he thought that it was because he was away from his girlfriend. Howard said maybe he's become dependant on her. He said he heard Memet didn't bring his pants. He had to go shopping for pants. He asked how you forget your pants.
Howard told Memet to get in there to talk about this. Memet came in and said that he's sorry about dinner. He said he ordered $24 worth of food and he gave Chris 60 bucks. Chris said Benjy did the same thing. He said he was trying to make sure it was correct for everyone. Howard asked what Memet got. Memet said he got Calamari and garlic bread. Howard said he heard the Calamari was too fresh. Memet said this was soft and weird. He said he wasn't complaining about the prices either. He said he was just pointing it out. He said everyone was jumping down his throat about it. Chris said it was annoying.
Howard asked why Memet was so sad out there. Memet said it was just stupid stuff. He said it will piss him off if he brings it up. Howard said he won't get upset. Memet said he was upset that they didn't do the commercial idea he came up with. Howard said he saw that and it was stupid shit. Memet said he spent weeks on it. Howard said he promised that he wouldn't be pissed off but he is. He asked if he was bummed out because he didn't think it was a great idea. He said it was such a stupid idea. Memet said everyone said that it was a great idea.
Memet said he put weeks of work into this. Howard said he might have to go off and do his own show. Howard said as a writer you pitch stuff and then it's stuff that he has a vibe for. He said he can't bum out and bum everyone else out. Memet said he was told his work out there was great. Memet said Howard complains about his own mood at times. Howard said he's the star of the show though. He said if you want to do your shitty ideas then you have to get your own show.
Howard asked what the idea was again. Memet said they don't have to get into it. Memet said that he'd get upset if they just crossed his work on his book off the list. Memet said that they crossed the bit off of the list when he presented it to Howard. Howard said he's comparing one bit to a 2 year long book writing. Gary said they can show the presentation to Howard if he wants. Howard said he has the pitch there to watch. Memet said keep an open mind about this. Howard asked if Memet thinks that he's his number 1 guy for rooting for him. Memet said vice versa too. He said he's one of his biggest fans.
Howard said the reason he's there is to make him funny. He said if he comes up with a killer idea he's not going to kill it. He said he wants to be funny. He said that's the whole reason he hired him. He said 99 percent of the ideas he doesn't even know where they came from. Memet said if Jimmy Kimmel pitched this to him he would have thought it was great. Howard asked how he thought he did on Bill Maher. Memet said it was great. Howard said he makes the right decisions for himself. He said he has to stop moping around.
Memet said he thought about Howard's book and how they could show the thesis of the book in 30 seconds. He said in this commercial they see the Sirius building and it's a nice place that celebrities will want to be at. He said everyone is dying to be on the show so they're turning people away. He said they're turning Oprah away. He said then there's an agent in the lobby and he's unable to find his client. He said they show a sign that says ''Basement, Keep Out!'' He said then they have a shot in the basement and in the hole is a woman moaning in the well. He said then it's Ellen Degeneres being held in a well Silence of the Lambs style. He said then they see it's Howard Stern holding her hostage. He said they find out he's making skin suits of celebrity bodies. He said there's a body suit that says ''I Love Molly'' on it and that can only mean one thing. He said then they show that Jimmy Kimmel's skin is on Howard and Howard is dancing around in celebrity skin. Then it says ''Nobody gets inside celebrities like Howard Stern.''
Howard said when he heard this he thought Memet might be the Joker. He said he's on his way to being a super hero villain. Howard asked if that really ruined his trip. Memet said it was rejected so coldly and callously. Howard said he doesn't have time. He said he wants to get Benjy back in there for some sanity. Howard asked if he prefers that he calls him and lets him down. Memet said he'd like a note saying thanks for trying. Howard said he's not going to write him love notes. He said this isn't school. He said this is a job where he's paid to come up with ideas.
Howard said he's not sure where this would air. Memet said it would air everywhere. Howard said he's not sure what to tell him. He said he doesn't have time for Brent today now. He said this was so off the wall crazy for him. He said this wasn't funny and it wasn't feasible. He said he's the gate keeper there. He said he has somehow tapped into what the audience wants. He said he knows the audience. He said he doesn't think hassling the celebrities to do this would make sense. He said he's not going to do any of that stuff.
Howard said when he saw this he thought it was so ridiculous that no one would believe he even believed in it. He said he was wrong. He said Memet really does believe in it. He said he's told he's a good writer. He said he has to think they're right about that. Robin laughed. Howard said this commercial idea was rejected rapidly. He said it was ridiculous to talk about it. He said he thought it was just because he wanted to get on the air. He said he was wrong about that too. Howard said this wasn't fun.
Memet said he was trying to think outside the box. Howard said that's great but this one didn't work out. He said maybe he's crazy for rejecting the idea. He said maybe putting a strike through on the idea was wrong. He said he thought Memet put 3 seconds into that thought. He said he didn't know he spent time on it. Memet asked if he's done with the commercial idea. Howard asked when he last saw him do a commercial. Memet said maybe that's because no one pitches them to him. Howard asked why he thinks he doesn't do them. Memet said maybe he doesn't want to put himself out there. Howard said he would be very happy if SiriusXM wanted to do something like that. He said to put out a commercial someone has to identify a need. He said they have to have reason to spend money on it. Memet said they can put it online. He said they could shoot it with an iPhone. Howard said he isn't going to put one out that Memet shot on an iPhone.
Howard said he expects him to try to come up with ideas for the show. He said he can't let it overwhelm him. He said he chose this career. He said he could do so many things. He said he chose to do this. He said he's a writer on a comedy radio show. He said his job isn't to have all of his ideas accepted. He said if something is rejected he can't bum out and bum everyone else out. Memet said the only time he got bummed was when he saw all of the celebrities they had on the show and how they could have been involved. He said he sees the dumb shit they do for other shows and this was a good idea.
Howard asked if he really believes this is a good idea. Memet said yes. He said he thinks it's funny. Howard said this was exhausting talking to him. He said how about this idea. He pithed and idea to Memet where he and Kelly Clarkson were on a plane and Kelly turns out to be a terrorist and flies a plane into the World Trade center. He said then it says ''Fly into Sirius with Howard Stern.'' Memet said he's trying to come up with ideas. He said he knows he's not the only one who gets upset back there. He asked Will to speak up. Will said he's not sure what to say. He said no one mopes around like he did out in L.A. for a week. Howard said he was out there for a whole week moping around. Memet said he knows Howard is always happy.
Howard said he has someone on the phone who likes the commercial idea. He picked up and Wendy the Slow Adult (audio clips) was on the line saying she likes it.
Howard took a call from a guy who said that he has moped around a lot on the show. He said he should stay off the air. Memet said he'd be fine with never being on the air again. He said he wasn't pushing for this.
Howard took a call from a woman who said that this is the younger generation who wants a like on something. She said he can't take the rejection. Memet said he has been rejected before. The caller said that no boss is going to give comments. She said you don't pull this.
Howard asked if there is anyone else out there who liked that idea. Memet said there were but he won't mention their names. Howard said no one out there thought it was a good idea. Robin said this wasn't his worst idea.
Gary said they found one person who liked the idea and he won't come in to defend it.
Howard said he will tell him one thing. He said he does strike throughs in the notes because he has limited time. He said it's shorthand. He said he can't comment on everything and why he doesn't like it. Memet said maybe just one line.
Howard said if Memet wants to hear what his reasoning is then talk to Will. He said he will give a reason. Will said he told Memet why he thought it was rejected and he was right about it. He said it was almost what Howard said it was. Howard said he isn't knocking everything he does. He said he has gotten many good ideas on the air. He said he likes Rocky Pendergast.
Howard said he was just trying to find out why he was moping around in L.A. Memet said now he knows. Howard said he should get into advertising with his great ideas. He said he should do that. Memet said he likes working for Howard. Howard said if he works there then he likes you. Memet said just imagine if he sent his book forward to the book company and they rejected it.
Howard asked if he thinks he hasn't had rejection in his life. Memet said not really. Howard said he has had a ton of rejection. Robin said WNBC was a full rejection of everything he does. Memet said at least they gave him feedback. Howard said that they did.
Howard said when they're in meetings he tries to be in there with people. He said it's not his favorite thing to do but he appreciates it. Memet said he didn't even want to be in there. He said they pushed him in there. He said he didn't complain about this. He said he was just mopey.
Howard said he didn't think it was funny. He said no one has come to do commercials. Memet said he's just going to walk away.
Howard took a call from a guy who said that this would be really expensive to produce. Howard said he's not looking to do that. He said he's also parodying a movie from 26 years ago. He said they really have to stop wasting time on this. The caller said he has a pitch. He pitched his idea for a commercial that was something Howard didn't want to hear. He said he wasn't looking for commercial pitches.
Howard said he's going to wrap this up. Memet was still upset. Howard said he was curious about why he was moping around in L.A. He said people saw it and brought it to him. He said he asked what was going on. He said he told him the reason and he hears this idea. He said the idea just didn't work for him. He said don't get bummed out about it. He said just talk to Will about it and he'll get back to him with more information.
Howard said how about this. He said some people who work for the show didn't even get to go to L.A. He said he was able to go out there. He asked what he thinks about that. Memet said he's sorry he had this reaction. Howard said he took him to L.A. so he should have thought about going out there and Hitting 'em with the Hein. Memet said he did some work out there and recorded some stuff. Howard asked if he threw them in the garbage this time. Memet said he did not.
Howard said if you want to be in a pissy mood then just do it at the hotel. He said Robin did her job when she was in Chemo. He said she left the mood at home.
Howard said the boss there is Jim Meyer. He said when he's in a meeting he's peppy. He said Jim thinks he's upbeat. He said he doesn't let Jim know if he's in a bad mood.
Howard said maybe if Memet wants to produce a bit for the app then he can ask. He said he's always said think radio and not television. He said he's writing TV commercials and he works on the radio. Memet said he's sure that when Kimmel does a commercial it's one of his writers that pitched it. Howard said maybe write a commercial that's for radio instead. And maybe don't make it about skinning people alive. Memet said that you don't see that in the commercial. Howard said he's just trying to straighten him out. He said he was brought to L.A. over other people who were left behind. Howard said he has to lighten up.
Howard said he's sorry he was bummed out in L.A. He said just because he rejected a bit doesn't mean he doesn't think he's funny. Memet said he knows and he's sorry that Brent is missing out on his air time. Howard said Brent is out there fucking other people in L.A. and he's trying to straighten this guy out. Gary said Brent was even more mopey than Memet. He said he put on sun glasses and wouldn't smile. He said he thinks he was upset he didn't get on the air. Howard said here's another guy. He said they didn't hire Brent to be on the air. He said he gets to go to L.A. and he's getting upset too. Brent said it was at the end. Howard said they had so much of an agenda. He said he has time to get to it back home. Robin said they wanted to give it the full treatment when they got back. Brent said he was fine when they told him that.
Howard said he heard that he was way too high out there too. Brent said he was working every night out there. He said he was out with Benjy and Memet.
Howard said he heard that Brent felt like a pathetic loser after the last L.A. show. Howard asked if he saw what was going on out there. Brent said he did. He said he wanted to help produce the JD weed bit too. He said they were the most epic radio moments ever. He said that after 5 days of a lack of sleep and getting high it was draining. He said the shows were so fucking good. Howard said he should just be happy he was out there. Brent said he agrees.
Howard said tomorrow is going to be good when they get to the tape of him out there. He said that Brent's wife was busy getting plowed while he was out there. He said he thinks that's why he was bummed. Brent said he doesn't think so. Howard said just wait until Robin finds out who his wife was getting plowed by. Howard said they need a good two hours to get to it all.
Howard took a call from Defeated Brent who was talking about how he has only himself to blame over all of this. He was very down and his music was playing extra slow. Howard let him go a short time later.
Howard said they might need to go to a 5 day week to get to Brent and his wife. He said tomorrow they have no guests and he's clearing the decks so they can get to it at 6am (?). Howard said he's going to get to it right from the start.
Howard said JD really got into the weed out there. Brent said he did and he really looked like he was a natural. JD said he enjoyed it and he's looking forward to trying it again. He said he liked the edible that he took because it was easier to get. Howard said tomorrow they'll get to Brent. He said he knows people who will be upset that they didn't get to it today. He said tomorrow is cleared so they can get to it.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he needs to go back to Memet. He asked why he is constantly comparing himself to Howard. Howard said he's not sure. He said this is his show and he gets to be any way he wants. He said he can be sad that a bit was rejected but then he turns around and compares himself to him. Howard said he just needs him to write. He said he had the nerve to say he's never suffered from rejection. Howard said he had a Program Director tell him not to put women on the air because it makes him sound wimpy. He said every show got critiqued to death. He said he's been through the mill. The caller asked if they can see Robin's reaction on the app when she saw Memet's pitch. Howard said they'll have a separate camera just for that. Howard said they should have a tab just for Memet on the app.
Howard said he's sure Brent will have his own tab on the app after tomorrow. Brent said the shows out there were incredible. He said he just got bummed out for a couple of hours at the end of it all out there.
Howard said he knows that Brent was bummed because his wife was getting plowed at home while he was out in L.A. Brent said that he had his own thing going on out there.
The caller asked if he knows what executive it was that got into it with Robert Downey Jr. out there. Howard said he knows but he's not going to talk about it. He said that's up to them. He said they asked him not to talk about it. He said that he was told to let that sleeping dog lie.
The caller said when Robert Downey Jr. was telling that story he thought it was Ronnie. He said then it came out that it was an executive. Howard said he will say this. He said Robert Downey Jr. was the strangest appearance ever. He said Arnold was great too. He said Robert Downey Jr. made a lot of news when he talked about playing Iron Man and the Oscar thing. He said it was a very interesting conversation. Howard said he has to move along and get to news. He said tomorrow is Brent day.

Howard said Ellen got this guy from The Bachelor to marry them on the show and Beth wasn't ready for that but she went through with it anyway. Robin said Beth threw that bouquet behind her and it went very far. She said she was impressed with her arm.
Howard said they had a good time out there in L.A. He said he tried to be fun. He said they got to see some people they don't get to see. He said he put on a happy face and went out. He said he gets nervous being out too late but it all worked out. He said it was well balanced.
Robin said Colton didn't even dress well for that Ellen appearance. She said he wants to be on TV but he doesn't dress for it. Howard said you have to look the part. Howard said the women were going wild for him. Robin said they don't know he doesn't have a job. Howard said he did say he might marry people for a living. Howard said he had a whole book written for them and Ellen told him to cut it all and get to the finish line. Robin said the lines he did read he mumbled through.
Howard said he liked going on Ellen's show. He said Jimmy and Bill were great too. He said he had fun doing Bill's show. He said that's about as much fun as he'll have on a show.
Robin said that the whole panel on Bill's show were craning their necks to see him when he was on. She said Amy Klobuchar also said she was happy to be on with Howard because she might get some attention. Howard said he met with her after his appearance because she asked to meet with him. He said they had a meeting. Robin said she's glad. She said she said some good things in that interview. Howard said he has to look into her more. She said her Sirius always goes out down there. She said everything is so backwards down there. Howard asked if she really misses him down there. The caller, Claire, said she really does. She said she wishes she could send the book to him to get it signed. Howard said don't do that. He said he'll send her something. He asked Gary to get her information. Howard said he's got a guy there who will get it fixed. He put her on hold and said that he'll get a guy on that. He said that she should be able to listen online.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he's from North Carolina. Claire was from South Carolina. Howard said they must be big down in the Carolinas. The caller said it's a great place to live. He told Howard he should come down there. Howard said he might have family down there. The caller said he thinks the Bill Maher interview was the best he's ever done. He said he was very calm, charming and funny. Howard said that's because of Bill. He said he was the one doing the interview. The caller said he was really impressed. Howard thanked him for that and let him go.
Howard said he got a lot of positive feedback after all three of those shows. He said he's glad that he and Bill got to do that. He said they had a bad relationship for so long and he felt bad about it. He said he likes Bill a lot.
Robin read a story about Robert Downey Jr. who was in the news talking about Martin Scorsese saying that super hero movies are not cinema. Robin said a lot of people are weighing in and Francis Ford Coppola weighed in and said that he thinks they're despicable. Howard said this is crazy. He said they're good stories and they're very well done. He said Robert Downey Jr. was great acting in them. Howard said he doesn't understand this.
Robin said they talked to Robert Downey Jr. about doing a live action Pinocchio and Robert Zemekis is in discussions to do the live action movie. Robin said there is movement on that project. Howard said Robert's idea was to play Geppetto. Howard did a live commercial read after that.
Howard took a call from Balls who said that the L.A. shows were perfect. He said he called about his appearance on Ellen and he wondered what went through his head when they kissed. Howard said he was worried that Beth would get jealous. He said he was thinking about what would happen if she didn't kiss him. He said she might be grossed out by him. He said most women are. He said he didn't know how she'd react. Howard said he's sure it has to be repulsive. Balls asked if he thought about how those lisp have touched Portia DeRossi's pussy. He said Dave Matthews can wait another year since he's so young.
Robin read a story about the NBA getting into some political controversy. Robin said they were playing in China. Howard said don't cow tow to China. He said they have to stay free in Hong Kong. Robin said that FOX New called on Dennis Rodman to talk about that. She had some audio of that. Dennis was saying that we have no right to comment on what any other country is doing or how they're run.
Howard was still talking about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He told Gary and Jon they have to get the 4 bands that he mentioned in there. Gary said he has to get the Doobie Brothers on that list. Howard said this thing with Scorsese saying that the super hero moves aren't cinema is wrong. He said it is. Paul agreed. Howard said it's the same as coming up with a character in any other movie. Paul said they care about the characters they're playing. He said in Ant-Man he has a relationship with his daughter. He said he thinks they're trying to deal with human issues and things that are relatable. Howard said he agrees. He said you have to make him believe that Ant-Man is a real guy.
Paul said movies have changed so much. He said they're not making middle budget films as much. He said that's why the writers are going to television. Howard said he agrees and he loves it. He said there are so many places for actors to work. He said it has to be a great time for actors to get work. Paul said there are so many channels and outlets for shows. He said these shows are all over the place.
Howard asked if he has seen Joker yet. Paul said he hasn't. Howard asked if he still goes to the movies. Paul said he does but he doesn't go as much as he did. Howard said he went to Joker and it was a beautiful job he did with that. He said he thinks Tony Stark is just as relevant as Joker.
Howard said he saw there's a theory that Thanos was going to be destroyed by Ant-Man by crawling up his asshole and expand. Howard said he would have loved that. Paul said he doesn't think that was ever a thing. He said he's sure people put that online. Howard said it would have been great. Paul said he could have gone in through his ear or nose or something. He said he's not sure why it was the asshole. Paul said if he has the space stone then it might not work.
Howard asked who he thinks could take on out of the super heroes. Paul said Ant-Man had some great powers. He said he got to hang out with Stan Lee on set. He said they were sitting by the monitors and he was so happy that they were making Ant-Man into a film. He said Stan had this vision of Ant-Man and you never could gauge the size. He said it doesn't work in the comic book panels. He said with a movie you can see the way he envisioned it.
Howard said he was so into Ant-Man. He said DC had Atom. He said he thought they were ripping off Atom but then he realized that Ant-Man was communicating with ants and they're really powerful. Paul said they are amazing creatures. Howard said Atom wasn't able to speak to anyone. He said he could get beaten up. Paul said Ant-Man was able to speak to the ants. Howard asked if he ever kills ants. Paul said he tries not to. He said it feels like bad Karma. He said he was thinking about how he's not so much better than a spider. Howard said he and his wife rescued a moth. He said it's really weird. Paul said he gets it.
Howard said he interrupted Paul earlier. He asked about going in for the audition for Amy Heckerling. Paul said he went in 5 or 6 times. He said he asked to read for other parts. Howard asked what happened to Amy. He said she was on fire. Paul said she was doing something with Clueless recently.
Paul said he went in for the read and thought that one of the characters might be good for him but they were going for an African American with that role. Howard asked how old he was at the time. Paul said he was 24. He said he thinks Alicia was about 17. He said he felt like the old guy of the group. He said he was just a couple of years older but it was just enough.
Howard said he heard a story about him being on Friends. He said he played Phoebe's husband. Howard said he wasn't on very much though. He asked if it was fun to just drop in. Paul said he was only supposed to do 2 episodes. He said he came in during the 9th season and he did more than the 2. Howard said it has to be a weird thing. Paul said he joined a very well known group and didn't want to get in the way. Howard asked if he remembers going to Jennifer Aniston on the last show. Paul said he does. He said it was the last episode and it was a massive story. Howard said they're all there crying as they're ending the show. Paul said he was never used to being there. He said he wanted to join in on the emotion of it all. He said Jennifer and Marta Kaufman were hugging and crying and he'd walk over and say ''Hey guys... what a ride huh?'' He said he bombed with that. He said he was trying to be funny. He said he should have read the room. He said they were sweet about it though.
Howard said he heard he ran over Jennifer Aniston's foot on an episode. Paul said it was like his first day there and Jennifer had this injured foot from something. He said she was holding it when he was trying it out. He said she let go and he started to lean and he turned the thing instead of going straight and he ran over her bad foot. Howard asked if he brings them to the set. Paul said they did come to the set. He said he thinks it's okay to do that. He said it's a job. He said they're very fortunate that they get to do things like that. Paul said he loves what he does too. He said when his son was about 3 years old he went through a phase where he didn't want he and his wife to talk to each other. He said one day his son said ''stop talking.'' Howard said he didn't know Paul lived in New York. Howard said his wife reminded him that they saw him at the Knick game. He asked if they're going to be any good this year. Howard said one time he went to a game and saw JB Smoove in the third row. He said he was shocked. He said he thought he might be in the second. He said JB was fine with it.

Paul said he thinks that they keep an eye on it all. Howard asked if he's asked to keep anything. Paul said he has an Ant-Man helmet. Howard said he heard it's hard to hear in the helmet and it affects his acting. Paul said it's not too bad. He said he has the helmet on often and they don't have a face shield on it. He said they're not the most comfortable thing but they're not too bad. He said he thinks the whole Black Panther costume has to be tough.
Howard asked if he's shocked when he sees himself in the movies that half the shit he's imagining when they're shooting it. Paul said the final sequence in Endgame was created. He said he didn't know what it was until he saw it. He said it's nice to be surprised.
Howard said Mark Ruffalo is good as the Hulk. He didn't remember his name but said he was just joking when he said he didn't care. Howard said he heard he's having a bromance with Jeremy Renner. Paul said they split up people to do the press junkets. He said he was paired with Jeremy. He said he likes him a lot. He said what he loves is that Jeremy truly does not care. He said he doesn't care about the interview. Howard said he's kind of nuts, right? Paul said he finds him funny and really likes him. He said the absurdity of it all just struck them early on and they became more and more ridiculous. Howard said you do have to go out and sell the movie. He said you can't let one person do all of the heavy lifting. Paul said he thinks he did.
Howard said he heard he had to go to Hong Kong to promote an action ride. Paul said he did and that doesn't really support the Scorsese thing. He said he was so excited to do it. He said at Disneyland they had an Ant-Man ride called Nano Battle. He said it was a nice ride. He said it's not a scary thing. He said it's pretty fun.
Howard said what's weird is that they never want you to know anything. He said you have to say you can't tell anything about the movie. Paul said it feels like a stupid thing when you can't do that. He said they have to fill 5 minutes with some stupid anecdotal thing.
Howard said he read that he's 83rd on the Forbes list. He said it says he made 41 million. Paul said he's not sure that list is correct. He said he didn't make that much. Howard said he roots for people to make that kind of money. Paul said to make money like that doing what you love is amazing. He said he really does love it. He said over the last several years he does get cranky. He said he will ask why he's here. He said he's missing his family. Howard said he actually has enough money that he could stop. Paul said he will take some time off and he loves to work so he will take a job and go work. He said it starts to shift when you have a family.
Howard said he's hosted Saturday Night Live 4 times. He said that's something special. He asked if he'd do it again. Paul said he'd like to. Howard asked if it's fun. Paul said it is. He said it's a very intense week. He said he remembers after doing it the first time and asking how they do it every week. He said it feels like you're shot out of a rocket ship. He said one of the interesting things is that you do a monologue and they grab you to get you ready for another bit. He said it's constant on that show.
Howard said they don't do many sketch shows now. Paul said it's like New York history. He said he has been on with great musical guests. He said the first show he did was with Beyonce. He said the second one was Paul McCartney. He said his phone rang at about 1 in the morning and Bill Vader told him that it was Paul. He said he had no idea and he wasn't able to sleep. Howard said you know that everyone is going to be tuned in. Paul said he couldn't believe that he was going to be in the same room as McCartney. He said they come in to do their set up and sound checks on Thursday. He said they're shooting the photos for the bumpers at the same time. He said Paul came in and did his thing and they played ''Jet'' and then he went down and watched him. He said then they brought in a grand piano for Paul to figure out what he was going to play next. He said he was behind Paul and he was playing ''Long and winding Road.'' He said he was looking at his feet and fingers playing and watching over his shoulder. He said slowly but surely people came in and listened. He said they all applauded and he said thank you. He said then he played Lady Madonna and Beatles songs for them.
Paul said he loves so many things about Paul McCartney and some people figure out their place in life and Paul seems to be in that place. He said he knows that we all want to hear his music. Howard asked if he tries to freeze that in his memory. Paul said yes he does.
Howard said he loves the guy in Bon Jovi who plays keyboard because he loves the way he interacts with Jon. He said he tries to keep that in his head. Paul said he loves ''Long and Winding Road'' and those hands are the hands that played that when it was written back then. Howard said he's watching Mozart. Paul said it's like that. He said in a way it's like who cares about anything else. He said when he looks back in his life he's going to think about that time he got to see Paul play for 10 people.
Howard said he got to interview Paul a couple of times. He said he even called him once around Christmas and he didn't know it was McCartney.
Howard asked if he's still in the candy store business with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Paul said he is. He said people get weirded out around him. He said women love him and he's just cool. He said he thinks about how he'll never be cool like that. Howard said Paul looks much younger than his age. Howard asked how old he is. Paul said he's 50. Robin said he could still do Clueless.
Howard said Paul is going to be in something called ''Living with Yourself'' on Netflix. Howard said this is something you could never do in movies. He said he's playing himself against himself. Howard asked how that works. Paul said he recoded the lines for both characters and he'd put an ear thing in so he could hear himself. He said he'd act to air. He said he'd hear his lines so he could react to the audio. Howard said that's a technical nightmare.
Howard said he loved the idea that Tom Brady was cloned in the show. Paul said that's exactly the kind of guy you'd clone. He said they sent him the scripts like a year and a half ago and he was so touched that he did it. He said he found the humor of it. Howard said he thought it was funny he was outside a massage parlor in the episode. Paul said he felt bad for Tom Brady when that was going on. He said this guy was making fun of himself.
Howard said the show is very good. He said it's an original idea. He said you can be a better version of yourself in this place. Paul said it's finding out what the better version of yourself is.
Howard said he admires his work. He said moving to Netflix is a big decision. He said that's a big business decision. Paul said it's 8 episodes and it was a great experience. He said the directors did all 8. He said it was the same writer too. He said it was like doing a 4 hour movie. He said he read them and thought it was really good. He said he was really drawn into the scripts.
Howard said the actress playing his wife in the show is great too. He said he'd be thinking about love scenes when he gets a script. Paul said he did think about that. He said it can be awkward to be in bed with someone and kissing them or lying on top of them. He said he did a scene with Aisling and they were at work. He said she's wearing things to cover up her nipples. He said they were laughing throughout all of it. He said she's sweating and her nip-its are falling off. Paul said he apologizes to you right after the whole thing is over.

Paul said his wife said they should call it ''Talking about Myself.'' Howard said he was out in Los Angeles last week and he had to go home after doing 3 interviews. Paul said he's a fan of Howard's so it's fun to come there. He said it was always exciting to do Letterman. He said he got to do that a number of times. Howard asked if he felt he had to be delightful. Paul said that show was different. He said he just wanted Dave to not be bummed out that he was on the show. Paul said there's so much noise out there. He said there are so many shows. He said he knows he has to go out and talk about this show. He said it's expected and it's part of his job. He said he tries to do it as best he can. He said at a certain point he just feels tired. He said he's done for today. He said he's going home to take his daughter to gymnastics. Howard said then he'll get tired of that and go back to acting. Robin said she loved ''The Catcher as a Spy.'' Paul thanked her for that. He said that was the other one he did with Giamatti. Howard said when he worked with Giamatti he didn't even know just how good he was until after. He said the guy made it seem effortless. Paul said that's how you know when someone is good. He said he feels bad for Giamatti after working with him.
Howard asked if he has more Marvel stuff coming up. Paul said he's not allowed to talk about it. Howard said you have to be careful with what you say. Howard said just keep it quiet. He said keep that and the Jewishness quiet. Howard said he loved that Zach line. Paul said that one made him laugh.
Howard asked if he's doing the new Ghostbusters movie. Paul said he just finished it. Howard said Ivan Reitman's son directed it. Paul said he wrote and directed it. He said Ivan was there too. He said it was incredible. Howard asked who is in it with him. Paul said Carrie Coon is in it. He said this takes place in the same world. He said it's not a remake. Howard asked if they're taking over the Ghostbusters from them. Paul said he can't say anything about that. He said he can say that there is something very poetic about Jason Reitman directing it. He said there was this feel that the script makes sense. Howard said that kid is a good filmmaker. He said Ivan isn't handing that over to jut anyone. Paul said he doesn't think Jason even wanted to do it. Howard said Ivan did it so perfectly. Paul said he thinks Jason just had this idea and went with it. He said he thinks the movie comes out next July. Howard said Ivan is a great editor. He said he can pick out a scene that will be funny if you just turn your head a certain way. Paul said he's comedy royalty. He said he got to talk to Ivan a bit about his life and work. He said he's an amazing guy.
Howard asked who else is in this movie with him. Paul said there are some kids who aren't well known in it. He said it's cool. Howard said look at you ruling Hollywood. Paul laughed. Howard said he's sitting there bragging about all of this stuff. He said you can't keep track of everything he's involved with.
Howard gave Paul some plugs for the Netflix show and the Ghostbusters movie. Paul said his kids make jokes about him missing things. He said when he was little they had this Karaoke thing. He said he and his son learned ''Cats in the Cradle'' together. Howard said that's the worst song to learn. Howard started singing it. Paul sang a little bit too. He said it was funny hearing the little boy singing about missing his dad. He said it was disturbing. He said just listening to it as a dad is tough but try listening to it as a duet with your son. He said it was also very funny.
Howard said his kids think he wasn't around much but he really was. He said he has to remind them that he was around. Paul said he has to do the same thing. He said his daughter asked if he's going to miss her birthday again. He said he's never missed it and she laughed. Howard said that's so funny.
Howard asked if he's good at Karaoke. Paul said they have it in the house. He said it is fun. Howard asked if he wants to sing something. He said he has Karaoke right now. He said he has ''Wichita Lineman.'' Paul said that's his favorite song of all time. Howard said he can do duet with him. Howard played the song and Paul started singing. Howard said he wants to hear him sing. Howard said he doesn't know how to do this thing so he's going to let him take the next line. Paul did just fine with it.
Howard sang ''Somewhere Over the Rainbow'' for Paul. He said he knows that one. He went through a few verses of the song. Howard said he committed to that song. Paul thought he did very well. He said he thinks he has a nice voice. Howard said Paul has a nice voice too. Howard said he might let him in on a threesome with Fred. Paul said he's in. Howard said he saw Christy Brinkley out in L.A. and she looks great. He said she was able to maintain her looks. He said not everyone can do that. Howard took a call from the girl he went out with. it was one of the guys in the back with a really deep voice saying she's still up for that date.
Howard said this woman was the most perfect woman he had ever seen. He said it's probably best that he doesn't see her now. He said he's fantasizing that she turns on Bill Maher and sees him and she's rubbing his book against her old vagina. Robin said there was a terrible tragedy. She said his son killed his wife. Robin said his 30 year old son was identified as the suspect in the murder of 62 year old Valerie who was stabbed to death. Robin said the son called 911 and tried to implicate Ely. Howard said that's fucked up. Robin said Ely is confined to a wheelchair. Howard said he has to quit this job. He said he's running out of time. Robin asked what you do when this happens. Howard said Ron's son played quarterback at Harvard and had a perfect GPA. He said he was the perfect kid. Robin said he stabbed this woman to death. Howard said that poor son of a bitch. Howard said that poor guy. Robin said the son was shot and killed by the police when they went to respond to the 911 call. Howard did a live commercial read after that story.
Robin read a story about Lori Loughlin being charged with more crimes in the college admissions scandal. Robin said Felicity Huffman is serving her 2 weeks for the same thing and now Lori is being charged with more. Howard said if you're a dick head in something like that they're going to fuck with you. He said she's pleading not guilty. He said probably even their lawyer told them not to plead not guilty. Howard said she probably said she's going to fight this thing and they're charging her with more. Howard did his lawyer/agent voice and tried to talk Lori into taking a plea deal. He spent a few minutes with that bit. He said he doesn't think she's listening to anyone. Robin said she was charged with bribery yesterday. Robin said that means the time she could face is growing.
Robin read a story about Marie Osmond talking about Miley Cyrus on The Talk yesterday. Robin said Marie said she questioned her sexuality as a child after she was sexually abused. Robin had some audio of her talking about that. Howard asked who molested her. Robin said she doesn't say. Howard asked how she aged. Robin said she's holding it together. Howard asked if she's married. Robin said she is but they've had some problems. Howard said there's some really bad sexual abuse out there. He got word that she's 60 and said she has held up very well. He said she's had work though.
Robin read a story about Rosario Dawson who has been dating Corey Booker. Robin said he's running for President. Howard said he never knew how wide open his eyes were until he saw the guy on Saturday Night Live do his impression. Robin said a lawsuit was filed this week against her family for subjecting a transgender man to harassment and violent abuse. Robin read about what the guy accuses the family of doing.
Howard said Rosario Dawson dated Eric Andre. Robin said she didn't know that. Howard said that's right. Howard said Sal told him that Rosario has the best vagina in Hollywood. Sal got on JD's microphone and said Mr. Skin talked about her and he checked out this shot from a movie she was in where she showed it. He said he thinks it's the best looking vagina in Hollywood. He said every time he looks at it he thinks it's perfect. Howard said he has to get out of this because it's too creepy. Howard did a live commercial read after that.
Robin asked if he knew the world series was going on. Howard said he heard something from Gary about that. He said he thinks that Kansas is in it. Robin said it's the Astros and Nationals. She said that there's a 20 year old having his debut in the World Series. Robin said he practically won the whole game for them. Robin had some audio for Howard to play. Howard talked to Gary about the Series and he said he really doesn't care about it. Howard said he roots for the New York teams because that's where he lives. He said that's what you're supposed to do. He said Will roots for Philadelphia even though he's lived there in New York for 30 years. Howard said he roots for the team of wherever he lives. He said they were in L.a. for a week and he was a Rams fan for that week.
Robin read a story about the NFL getting grief over the microphones that they have on the players. Robin said this week the Jets played the Patriots and the new quarterback was wearing a microphone and getting trounced. Robin said they got him saying this on the sidelines. She had some audio of the guy saying he was seeing ghosts. Howard said he was saying the guys weren't protecting him on the field. Robin said they're now saying the NFL shouldn't be broadcasting that kind of thing. Gary had a theory about what went on there. Howard said he thinks when you're on a TV show and mic'd all the time you're not thinking about being mic'd. He said they have to watch out for the guy if they say they're going to do that. He said it's the same thing with President Trump. He said he believes that Mark Burnett says he would never release the tape they have of him off camera but on mic. He said it's implied that he's protected because they're going to clear stuff. He said he admired Burnett for that. Robin said he's taking the lives of millions into his hands though. Howard said the thing is that if they had tape of Trump saying the N-word it wouldn't have mattered for this guy. He said he'd claim that the democrats doctored it.
Robin read a story about Jimmy Carter being back in the hospital. Robin said he took a tumble the other day. She said he has a pelvic fracture. Howard said Jimmy Carter was a shitty president but what a great guy he was after. Robin said he was always a great guy but he didn't know how to delegate priorities. Robin said they showed a picture of him and his wife and they've been married for how long. Howard said he thinks it's like 69. Robin said it's actually 73. Howard said his mom and dad are close to that. Robin said Jimmy and his wife still hold hands when they walk together.
Robin read a story about Trump calling the impeachment process a ''lynching'' and there's a big discussion about that now. Howard said it's not a lynching. He said a lynching is when they tie up a black man and drag him around the streets and then hang him. Howard said nothing Trump is going through is even close to a lynching. Robin said then Biden had to come out and apologize for calling the impeachment of Bill Clinton a Partisan lynching. Robin said he says this is something he shouldn't have said. Robin said Trump will be speaking at a black college this week and they're wondering if this will be a problem.
Robin read a story about a poll that says 45 percent of independent voters are in favor of impeachment. Howard said he saw a poll that showed 49 percent of voters are for Trump.
Robin asked if Bernie Sanders heart attack is going to take a toll on his campaign. Howard said he thinks it will. He said he likes a lot of what Bernie stands for but he doesn't know about him getting the nomination. He said he was thinking that before the heart attack. He said all of these people are so fucking old. He said he likes this Buttigieg guy and Corey Booker. Robin had some audio of a guy complaining about white male rights getting taken away and referring to Buttigieg as a queer running for President.
Robin read a story about Kylie Jenner getting a lot of likes for a video she posted where she sang to her daughter.
Robin read a story about the pre-sales for the new Star Wars movie that's coming out in December. Robin said it's already sold more than any previous Star Wars movie. Robin said this is just the pre-sale and it's the biggest thing ever. Howard said he thinks he's behind on all of those Star Wars movies. Robin said he should catch up soon. Robin had some audio from the new trailer. She wrapped up her news and Howard ended the show around 11:30am.
