Howard missed all of the football games that were on this weekend. Robin filled him in on what happened. Howard said this is the time of year when Howard starts getting into football. Stuttering John came in and spent some time talking football with Howard also.
Gary played a game of Hockey over the weekend as one of his appearances. He said he's never played before so it was a new experience for him. He had a couple of pretty famous people on his team. He had Rick Moranis and wrestler Chris Jericho on his team while Jason Priestley was on the other team. There were a bunch of people who were no-shows for some reason. Gary had been promoting the appearance and people like Tim Robbins, Hillary Swank and Cuba Gooding Jr. didn't show up after they'd been mentioned as being in the game. Gary told Howard that he made a mistake while he was there. He was interviewing people and a beautiful woman who sang the National Anthem came up to him and thanked him for showing up. He asked her what she did for the Christopher Reeve foundation, which was the charity the game was being played for. She told him that she's Chris Reeve's wife Dana. He had no idea and apologized. She told him that they're fans of the E! show and that they're ''closet viewers'' of the show.
Howard and the crew spent a few minutes talking about what the Reeves' sex life, or lack of a sex life must be like for Dana. Howard wondered if Chris lets his wife go out and bang guys who are able to get it up.
Gary said he didn't go up to talk to Chris Reeve because he wasn't sure if he should. He said that Jason Priestley went right up to him and put his hand on him and said a couple of words.
Gary said he wasn't awful at the game but he wasn't great either. Howard wondered if Priestley was still pissed at the show. Gary said that Priestley was trying to knock him down during the game but he wasn't trying that hard at it. The two of them did say hello to each other but Jason wouldn't do an interview with Mike Gange who was also there. Gange said that Gary fell at one point when everyone was allowed to take a free shot on goal. Howard watched the tape of it and got a quick laugh.
A listener called in and said that he watched the People's Choice Awards last night and Faith Hill wasn't looking too great. Howard said that women can sour pretty quick so he believed the guy. Howard then talked about how Jennifer Aniston went sour and now he feels sorry for Brad Pitt. Since he was on the subject of the People's Choice Awards, Howard played a bunch of clips that Robin had pulled from the show. He played tape of Jessica Alba from Dark Angel giving her acceptance speech as well as Jennifer Aniston, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts.
Howard had notes on Eddie's interesting life so he went over some of the more interesting parts. He said that at the age of 15 Eddie and a friend of his opened their own dance studio. He said he'd stretch out dance lessons that should take one session for weeks so he could make the big bucks. He said he was rolling in money back then. Howard wanted to learn some dance moves that he can use at clubs when he goes out so Eddie taught him one simple one. Robin said when Howard did the move it looked like he was trying to fly. It wasn't working for him so he gave up. Eddie told him he'd need another 20 lessons.
By the age of 16 Eddie was married to his high school sweetheart. That's the same year he met his father who was never around. He ended up punching him in the face because his grandmother once told him to do that the first time he saw him. The two of them later made up and became good friends. His father has since passed away. Eddie told Howard that when he was first getting to know his father he'd light off firecrackers near him to freak him out. His father was a Vietnam vet so it would really freak him out and he'd go diving over the porch railing.
Eddie was kicked out of his house when he was young so he ended up living with his uncle Bucky. Eddie said his uncle got him under control.
Eddie had a son by the age of 17 and by 19 he was arrested for fighting at a St. Patrick's Day parade. Eddie spent 6 months in jail because he couldn't get bail money. When he got out of jail he became a choreographer for a dance troupe that performed for the Kansas City Chiefs. He and his cousin once went to a comedy club and his cousin dared him to go up and do a 3 minute routine. He'd never had any experience but he ended up doing 45 minutes of material. He said he just talked about stuff that happened in his life. He later became a stand-up comic.
Howard also read that Eddie's cousin is Prince. Eddie said that's what his mother told him but he's never tried to find out if that's true or not. He did meet Prince one time but he didn't bring that up.
Howard took a bunch of phone calls for Eddie. Big Black was one of the callers and he was really kissing Eddie's ass. He said that he's one of the funniest comedians out there today. There were a few other callers who bad mouthed Eddie and a couple who said good things about him.
Howard asked Dick why he continues to work at his age. He's got plenty of money but he goes to work every day. Dick told Howard that he likes to work and it's still fun for him.
Howard asked Dick if he was upset that a lot of his time was taken from him at the last New Year's Rockin Eve when Peter Jennings took over most of it. Dick said that revenge is sweet and this year's show got better ratings than that one. He said he never ''bites the hand that feeds him'' so he didn't say anything about the situation.
Howard brought up the fact that Dick has been obsessed with making money for a long time. When he was in college he would charge people to make their beds for them.
Howard also asked Dick about his sex life and if he can still get it up for his wife. Dick said that he's fully functional and he can still perform a couple of times a week without the help of Viagra.
Dick eventually got Howard to let him talk about the American Music Awards. Dick said that Britney Spears will be changing costumes while she hosts the show along with LL Cool J. He also said that Jennifer Lopez will be opening the show and will be wearing something that everyone will probably be talking about.
Howard changed the subject and asked Dick if he's still friends with Ed McMahon. Dick said he still talks to him so Howard asked him if he's ever seen him naked. Of course he hasn't but Howard still wants to know if Ed has a big schlong.
Dick told Howard that this was the nicest interview he's done with him. Howard sounded surprised because he'd just been asking about Ed McMahon's penis. Dick wondered what was happening to Howard for him to be so nice. Howard told him to stay on the phone a little longer and it would go downhill. Howard plugged the AMA's once more and wrapped things up.
Howard said that the Los Angeles trip is still all set to go but the Las Vegas part of it isn't. He said that Tom Chiusano wants the other radio stations to pay for the trip and that might not happen.
Howard watched the American Music Awards last night and saw Britney Spears do her little strip on the show after LL Cool J told her she was wearing too much clothing. He also mentioned that Jennifer Lopez looked pretty good in her outfit. He said if you dress her the right way her ass doesn't look too big.
Howard said that he watched a movie last night and it's kind of embarrassing to admit. He made Robin swear that she wouldn't laugh if he told her what it was. She swore and he told her it was ''Coyote Ugly''. He said it was the worst movie but he watched the whole thing.
Howard played tape of a message Crazy Cabbie left for him on his answering machine. Cabbie is still on the subject of the $10,000 he won which got taken away from him because he's an employee of the station. Howard doesn't pick up when Cabbie calls, he just lets him leave messages for him.
Howard had a nightmare last night. He said he was on a beach and the beach led to woods which led to a suburban area. In the dream he decided to walk around care free and he ended up getting lost and wandering around forever. That was about it. He was just lost. He figured that Robin would show up in the dream to give him directions but that didn't happen. Howard can't find his way home in real life or in his dreams.
Howard was complaining about his Christmas gifts from his co-workers. Jackie gave him a Stanley Kubrick DVD collection and he has no desire to watch any of the movies in it. He said that Gary's personal grooming kit was another lame one. He said his buddy Pat gave him some wine that he enjoyed and Richie Sambora gave him 3 scented candles that he liked. The gift that Gary gave him is useless according to Howard. Gary said he got the same DVD collection from Jackie. He's planning on returning his. Howard said he doesn't want to collect DVDs so he probably won't keep his either. Howard said the best gift he got was from the head of the E! network John Reiber. It was 4 gift certificates to restaurants around New York City.
Later in the show Howard took a phone call from a nutty Canadian. The woman was rambling on and on about ''Chuck'' but she wasn't making much sense. Howard let her spew her nonsense for a little while and then decided to goof on her. He muted his voice so she couldn't hear him and asked for Jackie's phone number so he could give it to her. He gave her the number and told her to call him after the show. He said that he wanted to be friends with her. She continued to tell Howard that she doesn't want anything from him. She kept saying it over and over again so Howard figures she does want something. After 10 minutes of this Howard finally had to take a break. He told her to call him later and got off the phone.

Junior also told Howard that he was married once but since she was supporting him he wanted out. He wanted to be the one supporting his wife, not the other way around. He also has custody of his one child from that marriage.
KC came in and said that Junior is into big boobies. Howard asked him if he's an ass-man also. Junior said he's a sex-man so he's into anything to do with sex. Robin warned Junior that she's a very high-maintenance woman. He told her that he'd mold himself to whatever she wanted him to be. A couple of phone callers told Robin they'd do a better job than this guy but Robin told them that Junior was first so he gets the shot.
Junior didn't have much to offer to Robin. Howard had to dig at him to get him to say what he'd do for Robin. He said he likes to cook so he'd make her a meal. Then he'd give her a bath and dry her with his tongue.. This was all on the first date too.
Robin ended up turning down the date. She's already got a man and she'd like to date someone who has a job. She said it's not because she's into money, she just doesn't want her man digging into her money. After Junior was gone Robin said she hates that saying ''I'll mold myself''. She said it's disgusting.
Howard wanted to talk to Richard because in this book of his he talks about how he's a recovering alcoholic. He's been sober for 7 years now. Howard wanted to know if Richard was drunk when he used to call into the show and hang up in the middle of the call. Richard said that wasn't the alcohol. He'd just hang up after getting a laugh.
Howard pulled out a couple bottles of liquor and offered some to Richard. He even went as far as to pour a shot of peppermint schnapps for him. Richard didn't drink it though. He told Howard that he was more into Champagne. Howard told him to take a sip of the schnapps but Richard just said ''Blow me!''
Richard told Howard about some of his experiences where he was drunk and he'd do dumb things. He said he fell asleep at a movie screening one time. Yep, that's about it. That's when people started thinking that Richard isn't really an alcoholic. Howard said that Richard is just a Jew who drinks a little more than other Jews and he thinks he's a drunk. Richard says he really was an alcoholic and he's even blacked out. No one believed that he could even get drunk on Champagne. Richard said he once drank three bottles before going on the Today Show.
Everyone continued to goof on him about the Champagne thing but he swears that he was a drunk. He also said that his friends were the ones who confronted him on his drinking and that's when he got help.
Stuttering John came in and said he thinks Richard just wants to sell books and that's why he's doing this. John drinks a lot more than Richard and he doesn't think he's an alcoholic. Jackie drinks a hell of a lot more than both of them and he doesn't think he's an alcoholic.
Richard says that he was also addicted to sex when he was younger. He used to have phone sex with a lot of women. He also dated and screwed a lot of women. Now he's dating someone close to his age and he's not doing the phone sex thing as much anymore. He said he's still addicted to masturbation though.
Howard took some phone calls for Richard before he left. One guy said that Richard should drink because he'd be funnier than he was this morning. There were a few others who wanted Richard off the air. A short time later Howard wrapped up the interview.
Howard said he just got a copy of Hustler magazine and there's a picture of Cindy Margolis naked in there. It's from when she was much younger so she looks very different. Howard said you don't even recognize her. She's got dark hair and her face is much different than it is now. Cindy is always talking about how she never appears nude so this is some find if the pictures are real.
Howard told Robin he started taking the homeopathic cold remedy Zicam yesterday. He didn't know it was a gel that gets put up your nose. He felt better after using it yesterday so it might actually be working. Howard wanted to do it on the air but he was having trouble opening the package. He finally got it open and squirted the gel in his honker. He said he felt immediate relief but that sounded kind of fishy.
Howard spoke to Eric Arnold from the Hard Rock Casino out in Las Vegas this morning. He wanted to find out about the million dollar bet that he wants to place when he's doing his radio show out there. Eric told Howard that they don't take bets that large but they will take a $250,000 bet one time. He also said they'll take two $125,000 bets. Howard was also asking about $100,000 bets and doing more than one of those. Eric said they did some research and if Howard were to make the $250K bet, he'd be the biggest better in one hand of Blackjack. That's all Howard wants. He just wants to go down in history as being the biggest bet on a single hand of Blackjack. Eric was also telling Howard that all of the women sitting pool side at the casino are hot. Howard then found out that the pool is closed at this time of year so he won't be sitting with the hot chicks. Eric told Howard that there are hot women all over the casino though. Howard was bummed out that he wouldn't have anywhere to sit and watch the chicks.
Eric told Howard that if he plays the hand with chips they can make up a special set of chips just for him. They'll also have a table with everyone's face on it. They'll go all out for the show if they go there. Eric said that they have a web site where you can check out some of the hot chicks that have been around the pool at the casino. Just visit HardRockHotel.com
Hank the Dwarf will be in an upcoming episode of ''Son of the Beach''. Howard had him on the phone this morning to talk about it. They haven't shot the episode yet but Howard predicts this will make him a big star. Hank will be shooting the episode at the end of February. Howard said the script is really funny and Hank is sort of a hero in it. Howard said that all of the great characters from the show will be returning when the show returns to FX. Mark Hamill will be back as well as Ellen the lesbian.
A listener called in and took a hit off of a bong for Howard. Howard said he's fascinated by the bong thing for some reason. The guy took his hit and Howard asked him if he had chicks around while he was doing this. He said his 19 year old girlfriend was there so Howard spoke to her for a couple of minutes. He found out she's 5'8'' tall, 125 pounds with a 32-C chest size. Howard said she must be hot. He also found out she once kissed a girl but she didn't go all the way with her. Howard asked the girl to take a hit from the bong but she said she wasn't in the mood. Howard then continued the questioning. When she said that she sometimes fully shaves herself Howard said only hot chicks completely shave. Howard then had her kiss her boyfriend. The girl told Howard that people tell her she looks like Britney Spears and Howard told her he was tickling himself under the console. Another listener called in and said that he was touching himself also because the chick sounded so hot.
Earlier in the morning Robin said something about Chuck looking good for a guy in his 50's. Chuck was a little upset by that because he's only 47. He didn't beat her up though.
Howard asked if Chuck would invite him to hang with the Angels sometime. Chuck said he's invited but he's on his own once he gets there. If he starts trouble then Chuck won't be helping him. Someone asked if Chuck would put Howard on the back of his bike. Chuck said that doesn't happen. He doesn't put guys on the back of his bike.. ever.
Howard let a couple of callers yell at Chuck. One guy said that any guy who joins a gang is just a punk. He was brave on the phone but Howard said it would be a different story if he were there in person. Chuck said he could hear the guys voice trembling on the phone so he knows he'd never say it to his face. Howard let the guy do this for a couple of minutes but he was afraid that Chuck would get mad at him so he hung up on the guy.
Chuck's new ''Street Justice'' show will be on USA cable sometime in the future. He said they'll be shooting the pilot soon. Chuck said that they'll have people on the show who have a dispute with each other and he'll figure out a way to solve it. Sometimes it might mean fighting between the two. He also told Howard that a guy who was watching Chuck on Howard's show one time is the one who came up with the concept. Chuck later thanked Howard and the fans of the show because without them he wouldn't be where he is today. Chuck also stars on the HBO show ''Oz''.
You can find out more about Chuck at ChuckZito.com. You can e-mail Chuck about ''Street Justice'' at ZitoRules@aol.com. On January 12 Scores will be having a Chuck Zito Night and the night after that he'll be there signing copies of the Hell's Angels calendar. He appears on the cover of that calendar.
KC came in with a Stern show True or False game for Sean to play. If he got 3 out of 5 right he'd win a trip to New Orleans courtesy of The Slayer Chronicles which is old episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Here are the questions:
Dean had a cold so his voice was shot worse than Howard's was. Howard said that all of the women at the station were going nuts for Dean because he's so good looking. He had Anne Marie come in to drool over him. Howard asked Dean if he's always had luck with the women or did he have an awkward period. He said he was always able to get a date and he lost his virginity at 14. Howard then spoke to Dean about working with Teri Hatcher on ''Lois and Clark'' the Superman series. Howard heard that they didn't get along very well. Dean said that when you work with someone every day, 18 hours a day you can get on each others nerves. They did have their moments but he said he ran into her a couple of months ago and they spoke for a short time. Howard asked him if he's happy she didn't age that well. Dean said she looked great when he saw her and Howard took back what he said.
Howard heard that Dean has a big penis so he spent some time talking about what that must be like. Then Howard got into his life a little deeper. Dean dated Brooke Shields when he was in college with her at Princeton. He also took her virginity. She was a virgin when she went to college so it was quite an accomplishment. He said they started out as friends but eventually they dated and he scored. Dean then went on to play football for Buffalo for a short time until he was injured. Then he got into show business as a writer. The money wasn't coming in fast enough so he started acting in TV commercials. His step-father was a director and he knew a lot of famous kids as he was growing up. Dean told Howard that his biological father was never around when he was a kid so he doesn't know him very well. He doesn't have any desire to know him either.
Howard took a phone call from a woman who went to school with Dean. She told him that Dean was so hot that she came up with a scheme to get into his room. She created a Men of the Ivy League calendar idea and managed to get into his room. She never got a date with him and her calendar didn't do anything. Howard was amazed that women would do stuff like that to meet Dean. He said that he had just the opposite life. He said women would come up with schemes to avoid meeting him.
Howard couldn't get over the Brooke Shields story so he kept going back to it. He just couldn't believe that Dean took her virginity. He also dated Pamela Anderson for a short time. He said it took him a long time to get the first date with her. He said he kept running into her and eventually they dated for 7 months. He said she was the one who broke it off. Robin said he was probably too nice for her. He wasn't a bad boy like some of the other guys she's dated. Dean said that he had a tough time with that break up. Howard said Dean also dated Gabrielle Reese. She wrote a book and didn't even mention that part of her life though. Dean said the break up was kind of rough so that's probably why she doesn't mention it.
Dean now has a 7 month old kid with a woman he was dating. He doesn't date her now but he does see the child every day. He said that her family wasn't too happy that they didn't get married but they're making the best of the situation.
Howard brought up this movie ''The Broken Hearts Club'' that Dean did. He kisses another guy and Howard thought that was kind of weird. Dean said that both of them are straight and there was no tongue involved.
Howard wrapped up the segment and learned that Dean's TV show is produced by his own production company. He's also the host of the show.
Howard still has his cold so he told Robin he just sat around and watched TV all day yesterday. He said he took some Ambien medication which was about 4 years old. Robin thought it probably didn't have any effect on him because it's so old but he said it knocked him right out. Howard said whenever he gets a cold he thinks it's because he did something wrong. Robin tried to tell him that people just get sick sometimes. Howard said that his mom always put it in his head that when he gets sick it's because he did something he wasn't supposed to. She would tell him that he exercised too much or didn't eat enough or something like that. Howard says he still hears her voice in his head when it comes to that stuff.
A listener called in and read part of a Stuff magazine article where Andy Dick really bad mouths him. The last time Andy was on the show he got pissed at Howard over some phone calls he took. Now he bad mouths Howard in interviews. Howard said the only time Andy was funny was when he was on his show. He also said that his career is over and people don't think he's funny anyway. Howard then went on to talk about how unfunny Andy's shows were. Howard was talking about the guy and said he forgot his name during the discussion. That's how little he thinks about the guy.
Howard missed ''Temptation Island'' last night but Gary filled him in on what happened. Gary said he liked the show and found it pretty entertaining.
Robin Radzinski came in to talk about her trip to Africa. She just got back and she had quite a tan according to Howard. She told Howard about some of the things she did down there. She told Howard there weren't that many black people down there. Howard was surprised and joked that he's got to move there now that he knows that. Robin said she almost drowned while white water rafting. Her raft was caught in a whirlpool and she got stuck under it. She also went sky diving which also surprised Howard. After she left Howard and Robin said there's no way either of them would have survived that trip.
Howard also spoke about Queens Boulevard in Queens, New York where people get killed every 6 weeks. Howard said he used to hang out there as a kid. The City doesn't know what to do about the problem.
He spent a little while talking about Rosie O'Donnell and how she's renaming McCall's magazine ''Rosie'' when she should just call it ''Fats-O'' similar to Oprah's ''O''.
Stuttering John came back in while Howard was discussing this weekend's football game between the NY Giants and the Minnesota Vikings. The subject quickly changed to John's situation from earlier in the morning. He was still arguing that it was Howard's fault for saying that he didn't want him on the trip. They argued for a few more minutes and Howard replayed some of the tape from that part of the show. John said that the tape he played didn't have the part where Howard said he didn't need him out in Los Angeles. He eventually got sent back to the office to answer phones again. He kept typing notes to Howard over the computer so Howard told him to stop or he'd be taken off of that job also.
KC came in and tried to relate John's situation with one he had in college. He said his buddy ''Bucket Head'' used to beat and sodomize him with a whiffle ball bat but he knew that if he told him to stop, he'd just hit him even more. How that relates to John's situation I don't know.. but the story was funny.
Cabbie stayed on the phone so he could listen as Fred competed against another contestant in ''Win Fred's Money'' only this time they called it ''Win Cabbie's Money''. Since Cabbie is an employee of the station he couldn't collect it and now they're going to see if someone else can win it.
Playing today was this guy Eddie G. who calls in often. Howard said he looks like Foster Brooks. Eddie said that he's actually older than Jackie is. Eddie also said that if he wins, he'd give Cabbie some of the money. He didn't say how much that would be though. Cabbie was on the phone listening in on the whole game. Howard had notes on Eddie that said he was once a contestant on the old Jeopardy series. Eddie told him that he lied about that just to get on the show. He also lied about having an IQ of 140.
Howard sent Fred off into the sound proof booth to cut him off from all of the sound in the studio. He then asked Eddie the following questions:
Howard took a phone call from a guy who offered to give Cabbie $100 to let him throw a pie in his face. Cabbie said he'd do that no problem. Howard said that for $500 you could go to the bathroom on him. Cabbie doesn't go for that though. Howard wrapped things up and told Cabbie not to call him at home anymore. Cabbie said he's learned his lesson and won't call him. He said Howard never called him back anyway.
Next week Howard and his band The Losers will be taking on Doug Flutie's band in a Battle of the Bands. Howard said he watched the movie ''Drive Me Crazy'' and a band does a version of REO Speedwagon's ''Keep On Lovin You''. Howard started thinking that might be the song to perform against Flutie's band. He played the song for Robin but she wasn't sure it's the right one to do.
Howard said he was visibly upset last night when he was watching Calista Flockhart with her adopted baby on Entertainment Tonight. He doesn't understand how anyone would let her adopt a baby. Howard said Calista has issues and can't understand that whole thing. He says it looks like the baby weighs more than Calista.
Chyna from the WWF bad mouthed Howard in her latest book ''If They Only Knew''. Howard said she wants to come back on the show but he's probably not going to let her back on. Howard read the section of the book where she talks about her appearance and Howard couldn't figure out if she was saying she did like him or didn't. Howard started thinking about it and said that he might need an explanation from her about what was written. He thinks she probably didn't write the book herself.
Henry said he might come out to visit Howard when he's out in Los Angeles in a couple of weeks. Gary said he's seen him out there and when he's standing there talking to him he wonders if he should be standing so close to him. The mob never killed Henry for squealing on them which surprises Howard. Howard thinks they never forget stuff like that and they'll get him some day. Howard said that he was offered any services he wanted from the mob one time. He was given a number to call if he ever needed a favor done. Henry says that Howard is now an associated member of the mob. Henry also said that the mob is still alive and kicking.
Howard said that the funniest thing they did with Henry was back in the WOR(Channel 9) days. They had a woman come on the show to confront Henry saying that he was responsible for the death of her husband. It was just Al Rosenberg in a wig though. Henry said they really got him with that one.
One of Howard's surprises was on the phone so he had to get off the phone.
Howard said he heard that Geoffrey and Mel Gibson lived together for a while one time. Geoffrey said that they did a play together and did live together for a short time. Howard guesses that they had a lot of women back then. Geoffrey just laughed when he said that.
Howard told Geoffrey that it was an honor to have him on the show and thanked him for calling in.
After a commercial break Howard brought up Aaron Spelling's book-on-tape that Gary has been listening to. He played a clip from the tape where Aaron talks about why he won't fly in a plane at all. He said it's because a plane he was supposed to be on while he was in the service crashed and killed everyone on board. He was pulled off the flight because he was in no condition to fly. His parents were informed that he'd been killed because they didn't know he was driving home. When he showed up at his mother's house she fainted. She then asked him to never fly again.
Jackie got Howard a gift and had Anne Marie bring it in for him. Howard thought that Anne Marie was the gift at first. No such luck. Jackie got him a Scrabble game to play. Howard said that was very thoughtful of him and that he'd have him over to play sometime. Howard started talking about what he'd do if Anne Marie really were his gift. He told her that he'd take her shopping for some tight fitting clothes first. Then he'd have dinner and kiss her thighs and chest during the meal. Then he'd bathe her and do some stuff.. and then it would be time for sex.. but just him because she's married. And then he'd call the cops because her husband would be after him by that point.
Benjy also gave Howard a gift of a sketch book and a flashing Jesus picture. Howard said he doesn't sketch so it's a useless gift for him. He said he liked the flashing Jesus though.
Howard kissed Eric's ass for a few minutes and said that he doesn't understand why his sister Julia Roberts doesn't talk to him. Eric said that they haven't spoken in 6 years now. He said they never really knew each other that well to begin with. Howard thinks there's something else there though. Eric wouldn't say anything bad about Julia though. He shut his mouth on a couple of occasions so he wouldn't say anything about her.
Howard got Mike Walker on the phone and ended up talking to Eric even more about Julia. He couldn't get off of that subject. Even Mike got in on the fun. He asked Eric if he ran into his sister on the street, would he say ''hello'' to her. Eric said that he would, but he doesn't know if Julia would. Eric blames some of the tension in the relationship on his past drug use. He's clean now but he may have ruined the relationship years ago.
Howard finally got to the game.. Each week Mike Walker, author of ''Malicious Intent'', calls in with four gossip stories. Three of the stories are from his National Enquirer gossip column. One of the stories is false. Everyone tries to pick out the false story. The stories will appear in Mike's gossip column each week after he plays with Howard. You can win money there also. Here are this week's stories:
After the game Eric gave Howard a phone number to call for a special birthday surprise. Howard called it but knew it would be a disaster. Howard got a guy on the phone who sang Happy Birthday with his buddies. It was awful and it turned out to be Eric's step-son who was doing the singing. Howard quickly plugged Eric's VH-1 special and wrapped up the interview.
Howard's buddies Wayne Segal and Neil Drake (OJ Mask) came in with a gift for Howard. Neil was wearing his infamous OJ mask and he tried to tell a joke or two but they weren't all that funny. They got together with Ronnie the limo driver and got Howard a $300 gift certificate to a restaurant that Howard likes.
Also coming in at the same time was Dan the farter. Dan has been on the show in the past and has crapped on the floor a few times while farting. He was in to fart Howard a birthday wish. Dan shares his birthday with Howard so the song was for himself also. Howard couldn't hear him too well and it turns out they had the microphone covered so he wouldn't crap on it. Dan went ahead and blew out a bunch of farts but it didn't sound much like a song. Luckily he didn't crap on the floor. KC said that if he had done that he was going to whack him with a newspaper.
Howard also spoke to Lenny's drummer Cindy for a little bit. He's blown away by her drumming. He asked Lenny if he ever bangs Cindy. Lenny said that the good thing about being friends is that they can share things like that. Lenny asked Howard if he's ever had a black girlfriend and Howard replied ''Look at me!'' and told Lenny to come to his own conclusions.
Lenny and the band also performed on of Howard's favorite songs ''Let Love Rule''. Once again, they sounded great. Howard and Robin commented that the band sounded very tight. Howard said they were ''as tight as a 10 year old''.
Lenny asked Howard how old he was today. Howard told him he's 47 and asked Lenny what his guess would have been. Lenny said he was figuring 53. Cindy told him she would have guessed 35 or so.
Howard took a couple of phone calls for Lenny before he performed his last song. One guy said that he thought the songs they performed were studio cuts because they sounded so tight.
Howard was handed a note that said Lenny would also perform ''Again'' from his ''Greatest Hits'' album. Lenny said he wasn't prepared to do that. The record company people are the ones who said he'd do it. He then adjusted his guitar settings and went ahead and performed the song anyway. Once again, great performance even though he wasn't set up to do it. Howard then wrapped up the interview and let everyone know that all of these songs are available on Lenny's ''Greatest Hits'' album.
Howard's lunch maker Chef Bobby sent down a birthday cake for him today. Howard and Gary both said it was very good. Gary told Howard that Vinnie and Mitch from the CBS show showed up to give him a gift but Howard said he just wanted to finish up the show and get out of there. A short time later Joe Frazier called in to wish Howard happy birthday. Joe and Howard share the same birth date. Howard spent a very short time talking to Joe.. mostly about whether or not he can still get it up. Joe said you just need to trade in your woman for a new one to be able to get it up as you get older.
