Kelsey Grammer's website. They have pictures of Camille up there and she looks cute. There's a chat room but you have to be a member. Howard got into a welcome message. Kelsey said he and Camille spent 3 hours coming up with a website name and stuff. He clicked on Camille's bio and all it said was ''Married Kelsey in 1997.'' There's a store on there where you can buy crap. They charge $4.95 a month to go on that website. They have pictures of Camille on the preview page. They have all their family moments. Howard was looking for nudes. Howard was looking for Camille pictures and he found some of her friends too.
Howard picked up on a caller and got his fiancee, she said he went back to bed because he didn't expect to get on air. The next caller was a woman that said she had an agenda and lots of things to say so Howard better just let her go. Howard ignored her and talked to Baba Booey about Ron Howard for a little bit. He was wearing a special outfit for Ron Howard. Howard promo'd the E! show and all the episodes coming up, he said they'll have Penthouse chicks, James Brown, Don King, Mark Harris, and more.
The next caller was Melrose Larry Green. He was complaining about the TV show and how he didn't want certain footage of him on it. Howard moved on to talking about how the U.S. is fighting Yugoslavia. There are all different nationalities there and Robin said it's the Albanians that are causing the problem. They talked about that conflict for a few minutes.
The guys gave Howard the award, it was a plaque. Howard said it was very plain and simple and probably cost $2. Howard gave a funny speech about receiving the award. Howard talked a little longer to the guys and made them uncomfortable. He told them they had to get out because Ron Howard was coming in. He went to break after that.
Director Ron Howard came in to promote his new movie ''EDtv'' which is in theaters now. Matthew McConaughey and Jenna Elfman star in the movie. Ron has been on Howard's show once before but that was way back when he was promoting ''Splash.'' Today Howard grilled Ron for about a half hour about everything from his marriage to his next movie. It turns out that Ron married his high school sweetheart at 21. He claims that he's never slept with another woman! He's also a pretty normal guy. Ron lives near Gary up in Connecticut and Gary said he's seen Ron and his family out at the movies. He also takes the train when he's working in New York City. Howard would never do that because he'd be mobbed. Ron said the people in NYC are really great. They'll wave and say hi but they won't bother him too much. They also discussed how Ron got his career as a director started up. At one point he seriously thought of doing a porno called ''Opie Get's Laid'' where he'd actually get laid in the movie. He thought better of it and didn't do it. Ron's first real movie was ''Grand Theft Auto'' which cost about $600,000 to make and it made $6 million. He then went on to do TV movies and eventually ''Night Shift'', ''Splash'' and ''Cocoon'' which got him noticed. Ron told Howard that he really enjoyed ''Private Parts'' and Howard's acting was actually good. Ron had to get running to do some other interviews so they plugged the movie a little bit. Ron said it may look like a ''Truman Show'' type of movie but it's really not. It's more of a real life thing than ''Truman Show'' was. His next project is a live action ''The Grinch Who Stole Christmas'' with Jim Carrey as the star.
Gary said Rolling Stone is too spread out and hard to read. Gary said there's a new magazine out called Brill Content that's a media watch group. They called asking for everyone's salaries.
Here's what Mark had for this segment, The subject of who makes more money, Jackie, Fred, Gary or Stuttering John, was brought up by some e-mail that Howard received. John does an hour long radio shift during the lunch hour on WXRK in New York City. Some people think that John must make some big money off of all of what he does but he claims it's around $40,000. That led to a discussion about the salaries of a lot of people on the show but no one was giving actual dollar amounts. Everyone was estimating what people make. Both Robin and Howard felt uncomfortable talking about what Jackie and Fred might make because they know Jackie will freak out if he hears Fred makes anything near what he makes. He'll end up wanting to renegotiate his contract again and he'll vanish from the show for 6 weeks again. They ended up talking about people like General Manager Tom Chiusano and Sales Manager Ed Moyer who Howard guessed makes around $750,000. Howard estimated that Tom makes around $350,000. Some people estimate that Gary makes $200,000. So needless to say no concrete evidence was given for anyone's actual salaries.
Actor Stephen Baldwin came in to promote a movie he has coming up called ''Friends and Lovers'' which hits theaters on April 16. Stephen showed up late so Howard told him he had 5 minutes to spend with him. It turned out to be 40 minutes though. Howard and Stephen compared tattoos and spent some time talking about the ''Flintstones'' movie that he'll be working on next. Stephen will be playing Barney Rubble in it. Stephen was also bad mouthing Nicolas Cage and how he doesn't like his movies. At one point someone called in claiming to be Nicolas Cage and yelled at Stephen. Stephen almost fell for it before Howard broke the news that it was Fred doing the impression from the other room. Stephen worked with Robert Downey Jr. on this new movie so Howard wanted to know some dirt on him. Howard remembered hearing that Downey said he'd kissed some guys and may be gay. Stephen didn't know anything about it. Stephen gave Howard Robert's number so he could ask him. Stuttering John called the number but got his answering machine. Later in the show Downey called in and they spent about 10 minutes goofing around with him. Downey hinted that the gay stuff might have happened while he was on drugs. His wife was on the phone with him to say that he's not gay though. He's off the drugs and into chicks now.
Robin's next story was about Dr. Kervorkian being on trial because of a video of an assisted suicide he made for 60 Minutes. She said he finished his closing statements without calling a single witness. Her next story was about the mayor of New York meeting with community leaders after a murder. Robin continued the news with a story about a marijuana farm being busted. She moved on to a story about a fatal accident in Disneyland. Fred played the Jackie laugh a few times. Robin talked about a dispute over school uniform code leading to a 12 year old getting arrested for wearing jeans.
Old Dirty Bastard is wanted in court, but he has trouble showing up. He can't stop getting arrested long enough to show up in court. Howard goofed on Stephen Spielberg's kids for a little while. Robin moved on to talking about Johnny Carson's heart attack over the weekend and Roseanne having her breast implants removed.
Robin's next story was about Keanu Reeves' new movie, The Matrix. It's coming out on Friday. She played a clip of him saying it's really ''kickass''. A football player died while having sex with his girlfriend in the car, but the car was on and in the garage. The final story was about the ''LadyPee'' female urinal.
Howard took a call from a guy who asked if Howard would rather have sex with his mom and sister or blow his dad. Howard said that's a no-brainer, he'd pick his mother and sister. They ended the show shortly after that.
On another subject, Howard quickly mentioned that Jackie noticed in the movie ''Apt Pupil'' there's a subtle show mention. There's some scene where this guy is out posting posters for his missing cat Timmy. Jackie figured it had to be a fan of the show goofing on Jackie's dead cat. Gary made some calls and found out it was one of the producers of the movie who is a fan of the show who put the Timmy name in there. Timmy was Jackie's ''retarded'' cat who was hit by a car and killed after a door was accidentally left open at Jackie's house.
Howard got into some weird stuff with fat Benjy this morning. He had to scold him for not calling his superior last night when he found a cleaning woman in the E! studio watching TV. That led to Howard telling Benjy that he was more valuable than Stuttering John. That upset John so they all ended up arguing with each other and talking about how fat Benjy has gotten. Benjy claims that he's still strong even at 260 pounds. Howard challenged him to do some push-ups for cash. Benjy said he could do 20 but only did 17. Everyone was surprised that he could do that many. Then a woman, Ann, called in and said she was willing to go out with Benjy to get his self confidence up. She said she was 5'11'' tall, 130 pounds with huge breasts and looked kind of like Christie Brinkley. She lives near the studio but didn't want to come down to the studio. Gary volunteered to drive to her house and take some video of her to show Howard. Howard didn't believe she was good looking and wanted some evidence before letting Benjy go out with her. We then found out that Benjy was a hula hoop state champion in South Carolina when he was younger. He said that if they got him a ''regulation size'' hoop he could still do some amazing stuff with it. This guy is just full of surprises. Gary got the tape of the girl and called in from the car on his way back to the studio. He said the girl was pretty, with big breasts but weighed nowhere near 130 pounds. He estimated 180 pounds. He said she's a 10 for Benjy but Howard would have nothing to do with her. He also said that she had a ''curvy body'' more than once. You won't be seeing the tape on TV though, she refused to allow it to be used. Gary returned to the studio at around 10:50 with the pictures and video. Howard reviewed them and showed the video to Benjy. She is cute according to Robin. Benjy said he would go out with her and said she was pretty cute. Gary said she was very nice and seemed intelligent. They gave Benjy her number so they could hook up.
