Howard started the show talking about how excited he was for today's show. He said they have many things happening including James Franco and Seth Rogen coming in. He said they are at the center of a controversy and it appears that North Korea is attacking Sony Pictures over the movie they have coming out. Howard said they don't like their supreme leader being goofed on.
Howard said up until yesterday the only person he saw with this point of view was on Howie Kurtz's show reacting to media stories. Howard said that this is his feeling. He said 9/11 was a terrorist attack and we got together as a country and said that this group took out American's and we're not going to stand for it. Howard said we went to war with the Taliban and Afghanistan. Howard said Osama bin Laden was killed eventually. He said something was done and it made sense to us at the time. He said he believes deep down in his heart that the media in this country could have said ''fuck you North Korea''. He said this attack is a 9/11 type of attack. He said as people, especially the media, should have said this was an attack. He said that it's titillating to read about this stuff that they leaked but this woman Amy Pascal should not lose her job there. Howard said Angelina Jolie should have taken the high road and said that she was going to ignore what she said. Howard said that they're not really an American company but still. He said that this is the same as lighting a bomb under the company. He said if the media took a stand and didn't leak the information that was stolen then it could show that these hackers don't have any power.
Howard said all of this private communication is going to be leaked. Howard said he never attacks people in writing. He said he hopes that people learn a lesson from this. He said you can't attack anyone in writing. Howard said he does it on the phone. He said he will get in touch with Robin one of these days to talk to her. He said they will attack Fred when they talk. Howard said that this is illegal and no one is mentioning that. Howard said he's not sure how they catch these hackers. He said if they don't then this stuff shouldn't have been printed in the paper. Howard said he has no interest in this woman Amy Pascal but he doesn't think she should lose her job. He said she's a bit of a moron for putting this stuff in print though. He said that if you have a great job like that you don't put anything like that in print. Howard said we should be saying ''fuck you North Koreans'' when it comes to this stuff. Robin said they did change the title of the movie from ''Kill Kim Jong Un'' to ''The Interview.''
Robin said that the media jumps in with this stuff because of the ratings. She said it's going to be on web sites so they figure they're going to get in on it. Howard said he is begging people to say fuck you to North Korea and not do this. He said it is stolen material.
Robin said that there are people who are undermining Amy Pascal's position there with this material. Howard said he wants everyone to publicly say that they love Amy Pascal. Howard said they should say they have no animosity toward her. Robin said Howard would feel affronted if it happened to him. Howard said he hates that this country is feeding off of this stuff. Howard said that they have to get on to happier things.
Howard took a call from Tommy from Malden who asked if he noticed something on that Howie Kurtz show but Howard didn't know what he was talking about so he asked him to move on to something else. Tommy didn't have anything else so Howard played him out with his theme song.
Howard played a ''RambOpera'' bit and a Gary Dell'Abate plays Christmas Songs on Trumpet'' commercial parody. They also played a bit with a High Pitch Eric impersonator pronouncing words with lots of phlegm in them. They also played a song parody about Robin. They went to break after that.

Howard asked Hanzi what he can do for him. Hanzi asked if he can stay on hold after he asks his question to stay on. Howard said maybe. Hanzi asked why he's starting this false outrage against North Korea. Howard said it's not false outrage. He said that he applauds the press who said that the pictures of Jennifer Lawrence were stolen and they weren't going to publish them. Howard said this attack is just like that. He said that they should feel the same way about Sony. He said he's outraged because we're at war. Howard said that North Korea is at war with us. Hanzi said America is like the king of propaganda. Howard said we are not. He said that we have beautiful buildings there and they kill out citizens and attack our buildings. Howard said that we have to stand up against North Korea.
Hanzi said Howard doesn't even believe what he's saying. Robin asked why he would say it. Hanzi said he's just trying to rile everyone up. Howard said the only one riled up is Hanzi. Hanzi said Howard has sold out. Howard said he's there living it and he's his supreme leader. Hanzi said he is not. Howard said he can't even think for himself. He said he's going to put him back on hold. Hanzi said okay to that.

Howard said that this will let them sleep an extra hour. Howard said this can only be good for the show. Howard said Howard 100 will still play the shows 24 hours a day. He said if you're up at 6 then you can hear Robin's news before the show starts. Howard said they need Benjy to come in an hour before the show starts. He said he's just kidding. He said if he gets up at the regular time he should be just about on time to the start of the show.
Howard said that Barbara Walters announced Amal Clooney to be the most fascinating person of the year. Howard said that this is very interesting. Howard said that George Clooney has that power to make a woman the most fascinating person. Howard said that Taylor Swift was in the top 10 most fascinating too. He said she's very sexy.
Howard said American Idol has announced they're going to cut the show down to one night a week in the finals. Howard said that's a good thing. He said they are going to take care of it all in one night. He said that's a smart move. He said it's easy to burn a show out with things like that. Howard said he knows that networks are in the business of making money but you have to think about that stuff long term.
Howard said he told Gary that the Jets blew it yesterday. Howard said that they finally won a game but now they won't get a first round pick.
Howard said he got an email from Carol Leifer who is a comedian and a writer. Howard said she has been on the show. He said that she requested the song ''Most Wonderful Vagina of the Year.'' Howard played that for her.
Howard took a call from a guy who asked if there is anything that Benjy could do tomorrow that would make him cut off the interview. Howard said he's sure there is something. Howard asked Benjy what he's going to ask him tomorrow. Benjy said he and Elisa are still working it out. Howard said Benjy is staring at him will make him uncomfortable. Howard said he's not sure why he agreed to this. Benjy said that he wanted Howard on the couch but Howard said that won't happen.
Howard asked Benjy if he and Elisa have been prepared for this by hypnotist Scott Schmaren. Benjy said they have and they're both really enjoying it. Howard had some audio of Scott hypnotizing Benjy and Elisa and telling them that they will become Howard and they will begin to think like him. Howard said they will understand that he isn't enjoying the interview. Howard said Scott needs better equipment to record himself on. Howard asked if they just listen to this and it helps them. Benjy said he relaxes you first and then those are the messages in your head.
Howard asked what time that's happening tomorrow. Benjy said he thinks it's at 7 tomorrow. Howard said he would rather talk to Elisa than Benjy. He said she's good looking so why not look at her. Howard said he doesn't even care if she says anything. Howard played Benjy's theme song where they had him making all kinds of noise to the tune of the Tonight Show. Howard also played an interview Benjy did with someone on the phone. They went to break after that. As they went to break they played a song that Big Foot sang about fingering his mail man. They also played a Yucko the Clown bit where he interviewed people at Rockefeller Center. There was also a Jack and Rod Show bit where Sal and Richard interviewed an author using clips of Howard as Dick Clark.
Howard came back and said that Seth Rogen and James Franco are there to promote their movie ''The Interview'' which was originally called ''Kill Kim Jong Un.'' Howard asked if this is too early for them. Seth said it is pretty early.
Howard said he wants to say something. He said from a publicity standpoint he doesn't think any movie has been more publicized. Seth said it's beyond their control. Howard asked if they're afraid for their lives. Seth said he isn't. Howard said he is for his own. Seth asked Howard if he has ever had scares like that. Howard said everyone loves him so no. Seth said it's tougher for anyone to walk in there than it is to walk into his office. Howard said that with the supreme leader being upset with them and him being a fat turd it must be scary. James told him not to provoke him.
Howard said we all think these films are just dumb little things that are made to make people laugh. Howard said it shows how different they are. Seth said that no one has proven that it's the North Koreans who hacked Sony. He said it could be anyone. It could just be a hacker group. Howard said maybe it's James' group at NYU.
Howard said the movie is hysterical and a fun movie about the guys going over to kill Kim Jong Un. Howard asked if they wrote the script. Seth said he and his partner Evan and another guy came up with it years ago. This was even before Kim Jong Un. It was originally Kim Jong Il. James said it was the concept of two dopey guys who interview someone like Osama bin Laden.
Howard asked if they thought about getting a real news guy to do the movie. Seth said that they did think about doing something like that. Howard asked if they had James in mind for the movie. James said as soon as the character was stupid they thought of him.
Howard asked James if he ever thinks that he's a serious actor and he doesn't want to do something like that. James said he did Milk and Pineapple Express the same year. He said that they thought he was taking himself too seriously. He said he was doing movies that he hated too. James said he realized that you can have fun doing movies and do them with friends. He said that he doesn't have to do serious stuff. He said the movies are stupid but on another level they're really smart. Howard said the movies that are making money are the comedies. Howard said that The Neighbors made a ridiculous amount of money. He said the profit margin was huge. Seth said it was the same with The End too.
James said that the super hero movies make a ton of money but they also cost a ton of money to make. Howard said they don't make the cheapest movies but they make good money. Howard said they released their salaries in the hacking thing and that must not please them. Howard said that Seth made $8.4 million and James made less. Seth said he got more for directing and writing. He said that he got 2 million more for that. He said as actors they made the same amount. Seth said he thinks it's weird that they're even talking about it. He said that the stuff that was stolen from him isn't that big but it is stolen material.
Howard said he was saying earlier that it was like a terrorist attack. He said this is outrageous. Howard said that the President should have said we were under attack and they didn't want the media reporting on this stuff. Howard said we can't give the North Koreans what they want. Seth said it is fucked up that they are doing exactly what the hackers want. He said they steal this stuff and then they reveal it on the air. He said that this information could be sitting on the internet if they didn't have news articles about it.
James said they stole movies and Sony was able to pull those down. He said they can't pull down the other information. Howard said this is wrong and we're under attack. Howard said when the Jennifer Lawrence nude pictures were leaked we all said it was fucked up. Howard said Amy Pascal shouldn't have said some of the things she did but she did it. Howard said we should be protecting her. Howard said it's the same thing as the stolen pictures. Seth said that the sexual nature of the pictures makes it more personal but he's right. He said that it's ill gotten gains. He said they're not selling it but they are getting more traffic and selling ads so they're using it as click bait.
Howard said now the salaries have been put out there. Howard said they must not like that. Howard asked if that's embarrassing to them. Seth said it is nice to have an air of mystery. James said that it's also known in the industry. He said it's not a total secret. Howard said that maybe he'd want to keep it quiet though. James said that check is one of the bigger checks he gets. He said he does other things like teaching and he's not making a lot of money doing that. Howard said James does a ridiculous amount of things. James said he's giving as much back as he makes. Howard said that they are making good profits on these movies. He said of course they should be paid well.
Howard asked Seth if he's the hottest guy in Hollywood now. Seth said no. Howard said he has to be the biggest money maker in film. Seth said no way. James said that he thinks that Mr. Iron Man is the biggest. Howard said he's talking about the movies and not the salaries. Howard said what Seth is doing for the studios is pretty remarkable. Seth said that he thinks Robert Downey Jr. is the one who is the most profitable.
Howard asked Seth when he thought of James for the movie. Seth said that once it was an entertainment journalist they knew that James would be the perfect guy. Howard said they have some special effects in the movie and it's all laughs. Howard said he thought the movie was hysterical.
Howard said he has Kim Jong Un on the phone for them. Howard said he wants to hear what he has to say. Seth laughed. Howard took the call and they had the Kim Jong Un impersonator saying that he's going to have everyone in the country executed. Howard said this isn't working. He told the guys to take a breath and wait. Howard said they haven't heard one line yet. Howard said he wants to try it again but the guys have to take it easy. Howard tried it again and started from the beginning. Howard gave up on the bit after a few seconds more.
Howard asked if anyone at Sony has asked them to edit the film since they were hacked. Seth said no. Howard asked if they have been contacted by the FBI or anything like that. Seth said no to that too. James said that he's just taking Seth's lead in this. Howard asked if they smoke weed together and talk about this stuff. Seth said James doesn't smoke. James said he hasn't done it in a long time. He said there is no need. Howard asked if it's annoying to him when Seth is smoking. James said it's hard to even tell. He said sometimes he can tell when he's had the strong stuff. Howard asked if it smells like a pot factory. James said it doesn't really. He said that it's not affecting the work or anything.
Howard asked if it's true that Seth is high when he's directing. Seth said sometimes he is. He said he made a conscious decision to not let it disrupt the work flow day. He said that sometimes he has a 3 hour camera set up and he can smoke 20 joints before they shoot. Seth said most weed is fine. He said he can smoke sativa type stuff all day long. He said sometimes he'll cross his wires and smoke some stuff that fucks him up. He said he did that one day on Neighbors and he had to walk off. He said he was just in the background for that scene. James said that's how he would be on set. He said in Pineapple Express it was all fake stuff.
Howard said that he smoked weed for one of the scenes they shot in Private Parts. He said that it was when he was watching the student film scene. He said it was the worst day of his life when he did that.
Seth said that there are times when it can get bad. James said that he doesn't think it's that bad for Seth. He said he has seen other people smoke at lunch and they can't handle it. Seth said he just acted in a movie called ''Zeroville'' and he saw someone do that on the set of that movie. Howard asked if he got paid for that. Seth said he thinks he got scale for that. James said it's just a small movie. Howard asked if his agent tries to talk him out of that. Seth said he likes doing movies like that. James said he only had to work a week and a half or so.
Seth said that James was acting and he was just hanging out. He said this actor hung out with him before the scene. He said they smoked and the guy didn't say one word the entire day. He said the guy said he shouldn't have smoked.
Howard asked James if he gets angry with the guys when they do that. James said Seth was awesome in the scene. He said he didn't know why the other guy was so quiet at the time. He said now he does. James said he was fine but he just didn't say much. Howard asked who it was. Seth said that he can't say.
Howard asked if it's true that Sacha Baron Cohen called them up and congratulated them on causing such havoc with North Korea. Seth said he did call and they email a lot about it. He said he even came to a table read and helped them with some stuff. James said they do improv on set but they also hone it before that. He said they will get the best comedians in L.A. to help them out with the script. Howard asked who else they had there. Seth said they had Jonah Hill and other people there too. James said it's a great community.
Howard asked about the table read and what Sacha said to him. Seth said that he said that it was beyond what he expected. Howard asked if they're expecting big box office for it. Seth said it is tracking pretty well.
James said that he thinks the movie is one of the funniest he's ever seen. He said it killed at a screening they had. He said some reviewers are looking at it through some weird lens. He said it makes him wonder what they do think is funny if they don't find this funny. James said with a drama you can analyze it but if people are laughing in a comedy then it's successful. Howard said maybe the guy wasn't laughing. James said he wouldn't want to hang out with that guy. Howard said it could be a generational thing. Seth said that could be it too. Howard said maybe the reviewers are working for North Korea.
James asked if they were making fun of people who interview celebrities too much. Howard said it's just a dumb, funny comedy about how funny it would be to go over to try to kill someone. He said it's a funny premise. He said it's nothing more than that.
Howard asked if they're afraid that the movie won't do well and they'll be looked at like failures. Seth said he thinks that it will make back the money it cost and as long as it does that they'll be fine.
Howard asked if they care that they're not nominated for anything by the Golden Globes. James said there's only one comedy nominated. Seth said he really doesn't care about it either way.
Howard asked how long it takes to write a movie like this. Seth said it's years. James said the way he sees it is the script going through many stages. He said he's seen it with a few movies they've done together. James said that when they're on set they do a version of the script and they just improvise. He said he thinks they could do that with just a great concept. Howard said you can't do that. Howard said he has limited experience and he thought that he could do the scenes without writing them. He said you have to structure a scene. He said some actors need that. Seth said that if it was just him and James they could do it but once you start introducing other people who are less experienced then it's managing a lot of things. Howard said Larry David does that a bit. Howard said it has a certain look and feel that you may not want in a movie. Seth said it does paint you into a corner. He said you can't plan scenes and stuff.
Howard said this movie is coming out and this is exciting. Howard said they switched it to Christmas from October. Howard asked if it's because of the controversy. Seth said that's not what they were told. He said they saw it as a better time to put it out.
Howard asked if they are in love with each other. Seth said he loves James Franco. He said he's family to him. Howard asked if he's at his house a lot. Seth said he's never been to James' house and James has been at his house maybe 3 times. Howard said it's weird that Franco doesn't have him over. Seth said he doesn't think about it. James said he's not doing anything at his house. Howard asked if they ever go out to diner. Seth said they do if they're working together.
Howard said they were both on Naked and Afraid together. Seth said they were wearing cock socks so they weren't really nude. Howard asked if they have seen each other's cocks. they said they haven't. He said if it's the right situation he doesn't have an issue with it.
Howard said being famous is the weirdest thing in the world. Howard said that Kanye West pulled Seth into a car and started to rap to him. He asked if that's the most weird thing ever. Seth said it was one of the most surreal things ever. He said he was in the lobby of a hotel and they were about to get some plates to eat it. He said it was around midnight and they had just come out with a video. He said Kanye was in the lobby and they talked for a little bit about his new video. He said that he had met him before and he was always really cool to him. He said he's a giant fan of his too. He said he told Kanye that he's a huge fan. Howard asked if he could rap some of the lyrics to them. Seth did a few words. Seth said that Kanye kept canceling concerts in Vancouver and he told him that. He said that Kanye asked if he wanted to hear some of his new shit now and he said okay. He said Kanye brought him into his limo van and he sets up this thing and played him some of the unreleased album that he was working on. He said there were no lyrics, it was just the beat and the hook and Kanye was rapping in the limo and dancing around. Howard asked if he was high for that. Seth said he was. He said it was the greatest thing ever. He said he left for something and he wondered if they should leave. He said they didn't leave because he wanted that to last as long as he could make it last.
Howard asked what he did when he left the van. Seth said they waited and he came back with more songs. He said he was looking for input. Howard said it's sort of what they do with movies at the table read. Seth said that's exactly it. He said he called people and said they have to get even more input. He said that Kanye is going around picking up random Jews to find out what they think.
Howard said he and James should get a van and drive around getting people's opinions. Seth said it's one of the most amazing things that's ever happened.
Howard asked if Seth and James know each other really well. James said he thinks they do. They didn't know their birthdays. Howard said Seth's is April 15th. James said his is on the 19th. He said maybe he knew that. Howard asked where Seth was born. James said in Vancouver. He was right. Seth knew James was from Palo Alto. Howard asked what James' middle name is. Seth didn't know. It's Edward. Seth's is Aaron and James knew that. Howard asked what Seth's wife's name is. James knew it was Lauren.
Howard asked what movie James won a golden globe for. Seth knew it was James Dean. Seth said he remembers trying to talk him out of doing that movie on the set of Freaks and Geeks. He said he was really wrong about that. Howard said that shows that you have to make your own decisions. James said you have to know how to listen.
Howard said he wants to see James doing this Saturday Night Live he did. He said he hasn't seen it yet. He said he knows he made a documentary about doing SNL. Seth said that he has done the show a lot and it's the most experiential look at what it's like. James said most of the documentaries about SNL are talking head type things. Howard asked if he got access to everyone. James said he was doing it for a project for NYU. He said he was going to follow Bill Hader and see what he does at work. He said he was going to make a 7 minute thing. He said he asked Lorne to do it and he must have liked him. He said he had all of this access and he let him into his office when he was making the decisions on what was going on or not going on. James said it started as a school project. He said he realized they had to make it into a feature. He said he had to go back and get permission from everyone. He said they all signed off on it. James said they made it like 4-5 years ago and it just came out this year.
Howard said that Seth went out and got married. He asked if that's a mistake. James said he has to say that Seth and Lauren are an incredible model. He said that he really respects what they have. He said he thinks that he'll get married some day. Howard said he doesn't think he will. Howard said he has too much going on. Seth said he thinks that he'll settle down.
Howard asked if James dated Lana Del Ray. James said he did not. He said she's a friend of his. He said that he's never had sex with her. Seth asked if he has jerked off near her. James said there's a weird thing with creative types. He said sometimes he likes a person's work and he's so enamored with that. He said their dynamic is that they're just friends and they get along really well. He said that he hangs out with her and it's just two friends hanging out. Howard asked if it could develop into a romance. James said he could have sex with her music. Seth said he has. James said he thinks she had a boyfriend. Howard said he doesn't even know. Seth said he just sits back and watches all of this. He said he'd love to do a documentary about him.
Howard asked James about the hair cut being so short. James said it was for the movie. He said that he shaved his head for that. Howard said he'd like to get a role doing something like that. He said everyone would say that he's really brave for doing that.
Howard asked what's next for the guys. Howard said the movie opens on Christmas day. Howard said he's not sure what it will make but he hopes it's 500 billion dollars. Seth said that would be nice. Howard said he can see it happening with the amount of publicity it's getting. Howard said they're making such a fuss about it. Robin asked if Kim Jong Un has seen it. James said that's a good question. He said he thinks that the build up will be dispelled eventually. James said that as soon as the movie starts it does.
Howard said he doesn't think there's that much difference between the sough and the north. Howard said he thought that this movie he saw about communism was a goof. He said he thought it was funny. He said some people don't see it the same way and get upset about it. Howard said that this is what's going on in this country. He said that even when the movie comes out they don't know that it's a comedy. Howard said it shows that there are differences in the world.
Howard asked if they think that Sony is regretting taking on this movie. Seth said he has no idea. Howard asked if he feels for Amy Pascal. Seth said he feels for everyone whose information was stolen. James said that when you email someone you expect it to be private. Howard said that's why he was thinking that the president should have said something. He said if Amy loses her job then the terrorists have won. Howard said he really believes that.
Howard said they have yenta'd it up with Seth and James. Robin said Seth has a huge beard going. Seth said he did a movie over the summer and he wanted to make himself look as Jewy as he could. James said then he did his movie and he wanted him to have that in the movie too.
Howard asked if they have their next 5 movies planned. Seth said he made one that's coming out next thanksgiving. He said that they also made a Pixar like movie with Franco in that. He said that they're animated in that one.
Howard asked James if he has stuff planned. James said he has a movie made that he's bringing to the festivals. He said he makes out with Zach Quinto in that one. Howard said he kissed Spock. Howard asked how that felt. James said he's a good kisser. Howard asked if he takes breath mints when he does that. Seth said he and Nick Kroll made out with James too. James said with Kroll they had 3 way tongue. Howard said he doesn't think he could do that. He said that he's so hetero that he'd throw up. Seth said he doesn't give a fuck at all. He said he didn't think about it for more than 2 seconds. Howard asked if he would give a guy a BJ for laughs. James said that's where they're headed. Seth said it depends on the set up but if that's the punch line...
Howard asked if anything is making James unhappy. James said everything is pretty good. Howard said he had Lindsay Lohan stalking him. Howard said he wishes he was so good looking that he could shave his head and still look good. Seth said he knows that he's going to look like Old Mandy Patinkin some day. He said he doesn't look like him now but he thinks he will look like him when he gets old. Howard said some of these good looking actors get old and get pulled back. He said he thinks that Robert Redford and Al Pacino got pulled back.
Howard said James has to be handsome so he has more pressure on him. James said he does. He said he sees these guys working out for super hero movies and he just doesn't have time to work out.
James said that they're going to do a movie together and it's about the making of the movie ''The Room'' and there's a great book that was written about the making of the movie. He said they're going to do that and he's going to play the lead Tommy Wiseau. He said that they have some of the most terrorizing sex scenes you've ever seen. He said the guy is really buff. Howard asked if he would ever turn down a role based on needing to do that. James said it all depends on what it is.
Howard asked James if he has ever been upset about not being in a movie. James said that they should have put him in ''Jobs.'' He said he grew up right around the corner from where that took place. Howard asked Seth if he's upset about not being called for any movies. Seth said that he's watched his own movies and thought that Jonah would have done better. Howard asked if they ever expect him to have the success he's had. Seth said when you see him in the room with you he's remarkable. He said the guy is so fucking funny it's crazy.
Howard asked James if he thinks that Seth got high today before the interview. James said he's not sure but based on how he usually doe things he'd guess he is.
Howard said the guys have done it again and they have made a very funny film. Howard said he thinks that they should hire some more security just to be on the safe side. Seth said more people are writing about this hacking thing than about the CIA shoving food in people's assholes. He said that's what's scary to him. James said he thinks it's great that they were able to make that movie there in this country.

He said that he thinks King of All Blacks and Bobo will be close in the end. Gary said he thinks that King is in there because he doesn't agree with many of his calls. He said you can hear Bobo reading some days and that's kind of funny.
Jon said that there is no questioning Bobo's dedication. He said that doesn't make you the best at what you do. Gary said that he likes when Bobo calls in and he's still nervous and stutters. He said he finds that funny too.
Jon said that Bobo weighs how effective his calls were by how long he was on. He said he thinks a few years ago Ralph would have won this. He said he thinks people got to know Ralph since the show has been on Sirius. He said he thinks that it's not fair to say he's the worst of all time. They went to break a short time later.

Gary said that if they are being targeted then they have a lot to deal with. Jon said that Seth was saying that you get to see the real James Franco when he's talking to Howard. Jon brought up the story that Seth told about going into Kanye West's limo and had him rapping live for him. Gary said he enjoyed that. He said that Kanye can be a really angry guy at times.
Jon asked why the critics can't give a comedy its due like they can with a drama. Gary said that they think that movies are about serious things. He said that comedies can do what serious movies do too. He said that Howard talks about serious movies and makes them funny too. He said he made ''My Left Foot'' funny.
JD said that there are some genius movies like the Airplane movies. He said that they can make comedies great too. Gary said Blazing Saddles was snubbed by the Oscars. He said he's not sure why. Jon said it's hard to make a great comedy that keeps you laughing for an hour and a half.
Jon said that it seems to be the comedies that get talked about even more than the dramas. They talked about how they can't remember the last comedy that was nominated. Steve Brandano said that Airplane was nominated for a Golden Globe. He said it didn't win though. It lost to The Coal Miner's Daughter.
Jon took a call from Speech Impediment Man who said that he would take the win of the worst caller poll as a badge of honor. Gary asked why he would want to be known as the worst. Speech said that there is no such thing as bad press. He said it's all good. He said to be known for something would be great.
Gary asked Speech why he thinks living in New York gives you a better chance of getting through. He had mentioned something about that when he was explaining the worst caller thing. Gary said they don't see that they're calling in from New York. He said that they call come into the same place.
Jon tried to take a call from Mariann from Brooklyn who wasn't there right away. Mariann said she would take it as a badge of honor too. Mariann said that she still gets the roller coaster feel when Howard picks up on her. She said that she would love that crown no matter what it is. Gary said he thinks that it's a bit of a move and he thinks that anyone who wins it will be crushed. He said he thinks Mariann would care if she won it. Mariann said that if Bobo wins he's going to be crushed. She said that King will be too.
Jon said he wonders if they will be thrilled at first and then from then on it's going to get worse and worse.
Jon took a call from Ralph and Jon said he thinks that he annoys people but he's not the worst caller. Ralph said it should be the ''most annoying caller'' then. Ralph said that he is probably the best caller on the show. Gary said people don't like him as a caller. He said that doesn't mean he doesn't belong there. He said it just means he doesn't like him as a caller. Ralph said that Jon said he was a worthy nominee. Jon said for the same reasons that Gary just gave. Ralph said he thinks that if Eric the Actor was still around they wouldn't even hear from Bobo.
Ralph also said that he loves the new show start time because he can call in more now. Ralph said that most people don't start their mornings that early. Gary said he thinks that most people get up between 6 and 7. Ralph disagreed.
Jon asked who would be in the top 3. Ralph said he hates Hanzi and he tunes out at times. He said that he doesn't even like to hate him like he likes to hate King of All Blacks. He said it's horrible when he wakes up at 9 and he hears Hanzi.
Gary asked Ralph if he's one of those guys who thinks about calling in but then hears Bobo call in and he changes his mind. Ralph said he will have a thought that he wants to time right or something. He said that is tricky because he listens on the app and he's 10 minutes later on it. Jon let Ralph go and went to break a short time later.
Jon asked JD if he's getting worked up for that. JD said he can't wait for this whole week to be over. Gary asked JD if he will be there the whole time looking at his watch just waiting for it to be over. JD said he's done that before at other parties. He said that's his charm. Gary said that he thinks that she'll have a good time and maybe that will help JD have a good time. JD said that she wants to meet everyone and that's that. He said he rarely enjoys himself.
Gary said JD must have enjoyed the Bengals game over the weekend. JD said he does enjoy that. Jon asked if he enjoys anything with his girlfriend. JD said that he does enjoy things with her. He said they enjoy watching movies and doing other things. Jon asked if it's all about sex and movies. JD asked him to move on. JD said time with her is just good.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked about JD's girl and if the rest of the world will get to see her. JD said they are out and about but he's not looking to post any pictures on the web site or anything. The caller asked if there will be pictures after the party. JD said that's not going to happen. The caller also said he thinks that JD is the best. He said he hears him talk and he can't contain the laughter.
The caller asked if Benjy puts on that way he talks or is that really him. Gary said he thinks that it's just Benjy not being quick at getting an answer out.
Jon asked Gary what he thinks about Benjy's upcoming interview. Gary said he thinks there will be more interviewing of Elisa than there will be with Howard being interviewed. He said he hopes they can get a real answer out of her about what's going on with them. Jon said it's a tough road to navigate.
Jon said that Jon Leiberman is there and he'd like to know what he thinks about how the winner of the worst caller poll will do. Leiberman said he thinks that Bobo will go into a deep depression. He said that he gets into a depression when Howard doesn't pick up on him. He said he thinks anyone will be upset but Bobo might take it really hard. He said that the others will be impacted too though.
Leiberman asked if anyone is handicapping the odds at this point. Jon said he thinks that Bobo might be an early favorite. Gary said he's surprised at how close it is with the leaders of the pack. Leiberman said he's wondering if anyone is lobbying for people to vote for others. Gary said it will be interesting to see.
Jon asked Jon Leiberman to give them his Howard 100 News previews. Leiberman ran down a few things they had coming up today. He also got in a plug for Leiberman Live which is on at 4:45 today. He said that the NY Daily News has been pretty good to him over the years. He said that they've had their moments with David Hinckley but he probably deserved it. Howard said in the paper today was a picture of him. He said he hates being on the front page of the paper. He said the picture isn't bad but they had a story about him likening the Sony hackers to terrorists. Howard said they called him an idiot in the paper for doing that. He said that they had a picture of the twin towers and said ''This is 9/11, idiot.'' Howard said the article attacks what he said yesterday even though he's not the only one saying it. He said that Aaron Sorkin is saying it too. Howard said that he knows that it's not the same as killing people. He said it is the same thing as scaring people into doing something. Howard said that the NY Post wrote it up the right way. He said he's saying that this country is under attack in many ways. He said it was startling to him to be called and idiot in the Daily News. He said even Cosby wasn't called an idiot.
Howard said they say he was trying to be shocking on the show saying that. Howard said they're trying to scare the shit out of you then it's racketeering. He said he's not saying it's the same as blowing up a building. He said he's not an idiot. Howard said that they're trying to make him look like an evil person. He said it's frightening.
Howard said he can't get angry and type out everything he thinks and go back and edit. Howard said he wants to let David Boroff and Nancy Dillon know that he isn't an idiot. Howard said he's glad they educated him on the difference between people getting killed and getting hacked. Robin said that tomorrow they'll have a story about anti-bullying when they're the ones who called Howard an idiot. Howard said that he'd like to know if they really think it was his intent to make it seem like the same thing.

brad asked if Howard and Robin ever watch YouPorn together. Howard said they do not. Howard said he had President Obama on the phone who said that if he turns it down he could join his panel of ungrateful douche bags.

Robin asked if Howard would have taken that honor if he had complete freedom. Howard said no. Howard said he has friends who are on boards and they say it's a hassle and a half. He said they don't really get paid either.
Howard took a call from Bill Cosby who said that this web site is nothing but filth and trash and all of the girls are having sex wide awake and that's revolting. Howard said he had to take a break. Gary told him he had one more celebrity. It was Evil Dave Letterman and he was telling Paul Shaffer to cup the balls as he was telling Howard what to do. Howard said that the NY Daily News are going to tell him he's an idiot that he didn't know those weren't the real celebrities.

He said that he cares about the people from 9/11 and what happened there. He said he's so angry about it. Howard said they make it seem like he doesn't know what that is. Howard said they also have an image of the towers burning to push that image. Howard said he has to thank his friends at the Daily News for humiliating him. Howard said they got him. He said they sold a lot of papers with that today.

Howard had Jeff Jarvis on the phone and Jeff said this was shoddy, bad journalism. Howard asked if it really is. Jeff said yes. Howard asked if he did something terrible. Jeff said that it's an insult to the audience when they feel they have to explain something like that to them. Jeff said this is like click bait. He said they went overboard. Jeff said Howard had a real news story. He said he wanted to hear his interview with Seth Rogen about this. Howard said they did report on that too. He said they used his ''idiot'' comments to write that article. Howard said he uncovered some interesting things about Seth and James Franco. Jeff said he's not sure what happened there. He said he's not sure if it was the reporter or the editor who thought he could get that on page 1. Jeff said that this was stolen material and he was right about it being terrorism. Jeff said that this was just a way to get a story on page 1.
Howard said he really does try to remind people about 9/11. He said he really is down today. Gary came in and told Howard that Mort Zuckerman wrote an article about cyber attacks and he compared it to 9/11. Howard thanked Gary for that. Howard said that Mort Zuckerman himself compared it to 9/11. He said David and Nancy can tell Mort that he's an idiot too. Howard said he says that we should think of cyber attacks and respond similarly. Howard said he compares cyber attacks to 9/11. Howard said that he can defend Mort too. He said it doesn't mean that he doesn't know the difference. Howard said they can reprint his comments in the paper tomorrow. Howard said now the NY Post can get back at Mort if they want to. He said they can reprint that article from the Wall Street Journal.
Howard said he doesn't have the ability to edit his words. He said that he can't go back and rewrite what he said. Howard thanked Jeff for calling in and let him go. Howard came back and said that the guys are feeding him more information about the guy from the Daily News. He said he's going to save it just in case they attack him again.
Howard said that they have Donald Sterling (impersonator) there with them today. Howard said he's their guest announcer today. Howard said that they say that he's a racist. Donald said he is not. He said he participated in the rallies this weekend with the blacks. He said he wasn't able to march because he's so old but he did scream things out his penthouse window. He said he yelled out ''Go you blacks! Go!'' He said he also threw water balloons with warm water in them.
Howard said that Donald is there on a good day. He said he had to play this promo for Benjy and Elisa. He played that and they dared people to keep listening. Howard said it's remarkable how much preparation Benjy has put into this. He said Gary told him that they have hundreds of sheets of paper taped to the walls in the green room. Gary said there had to be at least 600 questions in there. Benjy said this is just day 1 of a 60 day interview.
Howard asked why they're just doing that now. Benjy said they've been working together and they're learning to work on it as they work on it. Howard said he's a hard worker. Donald said he saw the papers and it's daunting. Howard said they're all looking forward to the big interview.
Howard took a call from Mariann from Brooklyn. Mariann said that she lost her sister in law on 9/11 and Howard helped her get through that. Howard said he's just an idiot according to the Daily News. Mariann said that they FBI said the same thing Howard did about the hacking. Howard said he does know the difference.
Mariann said that she had other things to talk about. Howard said that he has an update on the worst caller poll. Mariann asked if she won. Howard said that the voting is fast and furious. Howard said people have taken to this contest. Howard said he thinks that they should leave the voting open until tomorrow.
Howard said the voting is very close between the top 2. Mariann guessed it was Bobo and King of All Blacks. Howard said she must be psychic. He said that it is very close between those two. Howard said that Bobo has a slight lead so far.
Howard took a call from Bobo who said that he's not doing good. He said he didn't sleep all night. Bobo said he has a speech prepared if he wins. He said he hopes he doesn't win that. Fred said it seems that most people seem to think that Bobo prepares and it's very uninspired. Bobo asked why these people don't call in then. Fred said they are fans. He said they put their time in writing emails. Bobo said he puts hours in calling the show.
Howard asked Gary who is in third place. Gary said that it's very close between Bobo and King of All Blacks. Howard asked Gary to swallow whatever he's eating. Gary did that. Howard asked Mr. Sterling if that's disgusting. Donald said that it is.
Howard asked Gary what the rundown is on the poll. Gary said it's Ralph in third, then Mariann, Jeff the Bore and then Speech Impediment Man. Howard asked Bobo if he had anything to say to attack anyone else. Bobo said Speech should be at the top of the list because you can't understand what he's saying. Bobo told everyone to wake the fuck up. He said that speech is a nice guy but he's talking about the same thing every time. Bobo said he gets his thoughts out at least.
Howard said that this poll is going on at HowardStern.com. He said Bobo's life depends on it. Howard played a prank they pulled on Bobo when Eric Andre was answering phones in the office one day. They also played a ''Big Foot C-Span road to the White House'' bit and a promo for the upcoming Benjy and Elisa interview as they went to break.
Howard said that Donald Sterling is sitting in. He was amazed by Elisa. Howard asked if anyone hits on her. Elisa said only on Facebook. She said she doesn't go out that much. She said she's not sure what to do. Howard asked if she's annoying or something. Elisa said that Benjy hates her personality. She said he wants her to change a lot of things. Benjy said that's what he does with people he loves.
Howard said he wants to put Robin in charge of this. He said if it gets horrible he doesn't want to be the one to shoot it down. Howard asked Robin to do that for him.
Howard had Fred play the Benjy theme song so they could get into the interview. Howard said Donald Sterling can't even get girls this hot. Donald said he's old. He said sometimes he thinks he's done tinkling and he puts it away and he keeps tinkling.
Howard said Benjy asked to interview him and he wanted to share this with Elisa so that's how this all happened. Howard turned it over to Benjy and Elisa after that. Benjy said they'll both start. Howard said he has to say something. He said Benjy is staring at him. Benjy said he has a theory about that. Benjy started to explain and Howard just sighed. Howard said he has a weird way of staring. Howard said it's disturbing.
Benjy said he has a theory about why he might bother him so much. Howard said he likes Benjy. Benjy said it seems like the people who upset him the most are him and Scott Salem. Howard said he loves Scott too. Howard said he's had him working for him for how many years. Benjy said that Howard is a good person. He said he noticed that he and Scott have a similar look. Howard said this is a horrible interview. Elisa said it will get better. Howard thanked her for that.
Benjy said there is something about their eyes that Howard doesn't like. Howard said there is a certain stare that he gives him and it's not the same as Scott. He said maybe he's just nervous. Howard said he just wants to get past this.
Benjy said he wants to get back to the Daily News thing. He said Howard said he's so upset about what his family will think. He said he knows that his parents know his parents love him. Howard said his parents don't know him. He said he's a stranger. Benjy asked what he's worried will happen. Howard said he doesn't like being ridiculed. Howard said he doesn't like being called an idiot in the paper. He said he doesn't like that ''Gotcha'' thing. Howard said Mort Zuckerman has done the same thing. He said he doesn't like being made an imbecile.
Benjy said he was proud to be part of the show yesterday. He said he thought it was a noble moment. Howard said he does work hard at being a sensible person. He said he wants to be funny and sensible. Howard said that if they want to do a Gotcha thing then they were able to do that. He said he's on the air for 4 hours and he says a lot of things. Howard said he knows how severe 9/11 is. Benjy said it wasn't even about telling him to be careful about using 9/11, it was about making him look bad. Howard said that's what was upsetting to him.
Howard asked Elisa how he's doing. Elisa said he's doing good and she's impressed. Benjy asked Howard how he would feel if they did that to Beth. Howard said Beth is such a good person and he gets offended. Howard said he doesn't think that her opinion is going to change about him though. Benjy asked if his reaction is a gut reaction or a strategic response. Howard said he does want to rebut. He said that he can do that with this radio show. Howard said at least he has a forum to do that. Howard said he could embarrass Mort Zuckerman. He said he won't do that though. He said they've been pretty good to him in the past. Howard said that he is offended by what they did to him and it makes him feel bad.
Benjy said using that picture to make Howard look bad is kind of gross. Howard said what they did is take a picture of the buildings burning and they're the ones using 9/11.
Benjy asked Elisa if she wanted to talk a little. Elisa asked when Howard last cried from pain. Howard thought about when he last cried. Robin said he tries to forget about that. Howard said he cried over Thanksgiving. Howard said all three kids were with him and when they left he got emotional. Howard said that it was hard for him. He said he had a wonderful time with them. Elisa asked if he misses them. Howard said he was thinking about them as little girls. He said he had a good time with them and his parents. He said he was thinking about it and he got teary. Elisa asked if it was happiness. Howard said it was sad because they've grown up and they're out of the house. He said they're all doing their own thing and he sometimes thinks about how he'd like to be with them more.
Benjy asked if he would call them and tell them that. Howard said they have seen him cry. Benjy asked if he could go back in time and give them advice, what would he do? Howard noticed that Benjy and Elisa had signals for their interviewing. They were able to touch in certain ways to let each other know how they were doing.
Howard asked Elisa if she has had sex with Benjy in the last couple of weeks. Elisa said that something happened with them that made her stop wanting to have sex. She said that she got turned off by things he wanted to do with her. She said that he doesn't want to marry her either so that made her feel not special.

Elisa asked Howard what the last thing was that someone asked him to do. Howard said it's people asking him for money. Howard said that he has people who get upset with him for not putting them on the show. He said that hurts. He said that the friendship will stop after that. Howard said it's Gary's job to book the show. He said that's it. He said Gary books the show and that's it. He said he leaves that up to Gary.

Howard mentioned that the AGT auditions are starting around the country. Howard said they asked him to make that announcement. Howard said he's not sure how there isn't a great comedian or band out there who would come on the show. Donald Sterling said that he took his headphones off about 15 minutes ago because the interview is boring. Elisa said that can't be true.
Benjy asked Howard about doing AGT again. He said he has said he doesn't really enjoy anything. Howard said he does think about how he wishes he had more free time when he's there working. Howard said it limits his time and he would like more free time. Howard said he likes the gig and likes working there. Howard said he is getting older now. He said Benjy just punched Elisa in the head. He was trying to signal her and hit her in the head.
Donald Sterling turned into Perez Hilton for a short time. Howard talked about how he had his finger up Benjy's ass. Perez said that he hasn't washed his finger since that day. Benjy said he hasn't washed his butt since then either.

Elisa asked Howard about his psychiatrist and how that all works. Howard talked a little bit about that and said that he thinks he's a very ethical guy and he doesn't mention to his friends that he even sees him.
Benjy asked Howard about his parents and if he thinks that they were good to him. Howard said they were in some ways and not so much in other ways. He said he thinks that's how it is for everyone. Howard said they don't talk about their feelings together. Howard said he has told them how much he loves them though. He said that they were supportive in different ways. He said that his mother was more talkative and his dad was more about actions. He said his mom was that way too.
Benjy asked Howard about his mother being overbearing. He asked how that affects his relationship with Beth. Howard said that it does affect it and that's why he's in therapy. He said he wanted to be a better man. Elisa asked if his parents have a relationship with Beth. Howard said they do and they love her. He said that he wrote a note to Beth about how great she is with them. He said that he's so appreciative of what she does for him and them.
Benjy said he hasn't gone thought a divorce so he's not sure what that's like. He asked if Howard's kids come over and have free reign at his house. Howard said that they're off on their own doing their own thing. Howard said that they can call up and say they want to come by. He said they don't just drop by. Howard said they don't have keys but they could if they wanted. He said they have homes of their own. Howard said he doesn't have a key to his parents house. Benjy said he has a key to his parent's house. He said he even has one to Elisa's parent's house. Howard asked Robin if she has one for her parents. Robin said she does not.
Benjy asked if Howard would finance his kid's dream. Howard said he paid for their college. He said he will pay for a lesson or a course they want to take. Howard said he has had to say no about certain things. Howard said that for the most part they are sensible kids. He said it's not even for the most part, they are just sensible kids. He said they're amazing kids. Howard said one of the kids asked for a cell phone and he'd say no to that. He said that's what a parent does.
Howard asked Perez how this is going. Perez went off on Elisa saying that she's a home wrecker. Howard let him go on for a short time.
Howard said he got some feedback from someone saying that this interview should be used by the CIA as torture. Robin said she does wish that they would move on to something else.

Tommy asked if he can believe he went to see her in concert. Howard said he believes it. Tommy said her music is great but he doesn't understand why they have to have dancers on stage the whole time. He said it's too choreographed. Howard thanked him for the call. Howard said Tommy didn't make it into the worst callers poll.
Benjy said he wants to reassure Elisa that she'll be okay. She talked about some things that she wasn't sure she should talk about. Howard said he liked it. Benjy said she's not sure how she feels about it and it's hard. Benjy said he just texted her that he loves her so much. Robin said that would calm her right down.
Howard took a call from a guy who said that Benjy did an A+ job but he should get rid of Elisa next time. He said that he loves his technique and he finds him interesting. Howard said they went on the street and asked people if they would like to see Bill Cosby as a judge on America's Got Talent. Howard played some of those answers and people thought he'd be great on the show. Howard said not one person was offended by what Cosby has been accused of doing.

Howard took a call from a guy who asked how the poll is going and if he considered giving a prize to the winner like no calls for a week or a month. Howard said he saw that on the internet yesterday. Howard said he didn't think it through that much. Howard asked Gary how the poll is going. Gary said that King of All Blacks and Bobo are just separated by a few hundred votes. Bobo is still in the lead. Howard played the poll promo that he's played a few times today and yesterday. Howard said he has to think it through about banning someone. He said maybe the winner has to give him $500.
Robin read a story about Google putting out their list of trending stories in 2014. Robin said they have a list of names that were searched like Donald Sterling, Amal Clooney, Lorde, Tracy Morgan and a bunch of others. Kim Kardashian was number 2 and number 1 was Jennifer Lawrence. Robin said that's probably because of the hacked pictures. Howard asked if she is the new Julia Roberts. Robin said she might be the new Meryl Streep. Howard said now the Daily News is going to call Robin an idiot.
Robin read a story about a terrorist attack in Pakistan that killed at least 80 people. The Pakistani Taliban is taking responsibility.
Robin read a story about the hostage situation in Australia. Robin said two people and the gunmen are dead. Robin had some audio of the Australian prime minister talking about the two people who died in the attack. Howard did a live commercial read after that.

Howard took a call from a woman who said that just because someone says something bad about you doesn't mean it's true. Howard said he knows that. The caller said that they took Howard seriously and if they didn't they wouldn't have an issue with it. The caller said when her son was in high school he was kind of like how Howard was. She said that he went to New York and he waited outside to meet Howard. She said that he shook his hand and autographed his book. She said he's now a DJ. Howard said just touching his hand changed his life. The caller said that Howard spent time talking to him too. Howard said that's great to hear. He told everyone else that he's sorry for encouraging anyone to get into this business. He said at any minute you can be called an idiot.
Robin read a story about the mayor of New York city having the police angry at him and the protesters angry at him. Robin had some audio of Mayor DeBlasio talking about the mistake he made. Robin said he had said ''alleged'' when he was talking about protesters attacking some police when it was all caught on tape. Robin said that the police don't want him showing up to any funerals for cops killed in the line of duty. Protesters are also upset with DeBlasio because they want him to do more.
Robin was reading more about the torture stuff that has been discussed lately. Howard was wondering if the guys are hung upside down when they feed them anally. Howard said he figured that they could just squeeze tight and stop the feeding. Robin said there's a tube shoved in there so it's hard to stop. Howard said he'd like to know why they used humus. Robin said maybe because it's eaten by these people. Howard said they have a new game to play with Fred tonight. Howard asked how they excrete it all. Robin said there must be an explosion. Howard said he'd like to see all of this. Robin said she wouldn't want to see that.
Howard took a call from Ralph and told him that he's not in the running for worst caller. Ralph said he thinks that Hanzi is one of the worst and he can't believe he was snubbed. Ralph said he doesn't turn the radio off but he will walk away from it when he's on. Ralph said once in a while he can take it but not for long. Howard said they might have made a mistake not putting him in there. Gary said they had a big discussion about it. He said they decided that he's not a bad caller. Ralph said it should be based on audience. Fred said he only gets mail about him infrequently. He said that the other guys get more.
Howard said they will announce the results tomorrow morning. Ralph said maybe they should do a ''best caller'' poll too. Howard asked Ralph about Bobo. Ralph said his calls are just dull as dirt. He said he makes him laugh sometimes. He said he just sets Howard up to talk about something. Robin asked who he thinks is the best caller. Ralph said all of the callers are good in their own way. Howard asked if Nicole Bass should have been on the list. Ralph said she doesn't call in enough. He said when she does it's awful.
Ralph brought up the Daily News thing. He said they know what Howard was saying. He said that it's a really low blow. Ralph said that they should publish everyone's personal information and see how they react. Howard said that Mort Zuckerman made the same point a few years ago in the Wall Street Journal. Howard said that's their publisher. Howard said they chose to give him a shot to the balls and that's what they managed to do.
Howard said what upsets him the most is the people who lost people in 9/11 and they will only get half the story. He said that he doesn't deserve that. Howard said he's making the same point that their publisher made. Ralph said they're trying to distract people from other things. Howard said they gave him a good shot to the head. Ralph said Amy Pascal shouldn't be apologizing to anyone.
Ralph said he heard that Sony and Marvel are trying to get together to make a movie. He said that's one good thing he found out with that hacked Sony thing. Howard said he lost him there. He let Ralph go and did a live commercial read after that.
Robin read a story about judge Antonin Scalia talking about torture. Howard said he's with this guy after hearing what he had to say. Robin said that she sees Jack Bauer on 24 questioning people who they know have information. Howard said that 9/11 was the worst tragedy. He said if they could have found out about it before hand by shoving stuff up someone's ass he'd be all for it. Howard said he'd rather that we not have to do that stuff but if we need to find information then he's for it. Robin said one of the people who died in the interrogation was innocent. Howard said that sucks.
Robin read a story about a family that had a baby born at a very rare moment. Robin had some audio of someone commenting on how she was born at 10:11 on 12/13/14. Robin said they say she is a lucky baby for being born like that.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he called the Daily News and left messages for the Editor in Chief. Howard said the damage is already done. He said it's not worth calling. Howard said that they'll just print a letter to the editor or something. He said no one reads that. The caller said they have to get a movement going like the good ol' days. Howard said no one cares.
Robin read a story about some teachers that were suspended for making comments about special education students. Robin had some audio of some parents commenting on that. Robin said they were caught in an online chat and they were calling some students as ''morons'' and things like that.
Robin read a story about Stevie Wonder getting a music special next year. Howard said this guy is blind and he can play all of those instruments. Howard said that's pretty amazing.
Robin read a story about Oprah Winfrey starring in the movie Selma that she also produced. Robin had some audio of her on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Robin read a story about Teresa Giudice's daughter Gia releasing a new song. Robin had some audio of that song.
Howard mentioned that Kyle Dunnigan was in doing the voices earlier. He gave him some plugs and ended the show a short time later. They were done around 10:10am.

Gary said they were number one on terrestrial radio for a long time. He said that their ratings slipped for one ratings period by a tiny amount. He said that the headline said that they had slipped and it made it seem like a bigger deal than it was. He said people are going to pick up that paper and think Howard is really a moron.
Gary said that people believe the headlines. He said that one paper said that Howard bought a stripper a car once. He said people saw that and believed it. He said it never happened but people believed it.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked about Benjy doing the interview and wondered if there is one person Howard is concerned about more than others when it comes time to retire.
Gary said he thinks that guys like Bobo will be lost. Jon said he thins that the staff will be okay but Howard may worry about the younger guys like JD. He said that Howard has to put himself first. He said that if he stays on for longer that's great but if he hangs it up it's for his well being. He said that's what the 7 o'clock start will be about. He said that's for his well being.
Jon said he knows a lot of people who say they don't know what they're going to do when Howard retires. Jon said there are a lot of people like that. He said he knows that it's going to rock a lot of people's worlds when he does retire. He said hopefully that won't be for a long time.
Gary said he thinks that JD could be fine and he can adjust. He said that it will be an adjustment period for him.
Gary said that when he worked at WNBC they were pretty tight over there. He said they had gatherings or reunions year after year. He said he went to a few and then one guy said he wasn't going because someone said it was time to get over it. Gary asked if they would do that there. Jon said he thinks that place is like a family. He said if they're not seeing each other day to day then they would find an occasion to get together. He said he thinks for the most part everyone would go. Jon said hopefully that doesn't happen for a long time. Jon said articles like today don't help with that.
Jon took a call from a guy who said that this article is like tabloid journalism. He said they're trying to sell papers. Gary said it's all about selling papers but Howard is saying that they don't know what they're doing to a person when they say something like that. The caller said he hopes that Howard doesn't put too much into that. He said the fans know what it's about. Gary said that it could dissipate over the day but then there are times when the paper could make it worse. He said that Howard is ready to throw his grenade on them if they do though.
Jon said Howard is worried about people who don't know what's really going on there and just pick up the paper and see what article. He said they say there is no such thing as bad press but you don't want to become an enemy of Howard's. Gary said that the owner of the company never wants to be in the fray. He said he's not going to want to put up with that. Jon said they had to take a break after that.
Gary said that the late night shows are all edited and you don't see everything. Benjy said Howard is a great interviewer and he's not sure anyone else could do that well. He said he might be great edited too. Gary said he thought they did very well today. He said that he liked that they were going back and forth but then it got confusing. Benjy said if he could make a structure he thinks it would be good.
Jon said Benjy and Elisa had done research and did a good job. He said that it would have been all that much better if they had a natural flow.
Jon said the thing that came up was with Elisa and Benjy. He played a clip of Howard talking to Benjy and Elisa about what he thinks about their relationship and why Benjy brought her in. Jon said Benjy doesn't feel that way. Benjy said he doesn't. He said that he wants to make her happy and that makes him happy. He said he didn't think he was taking anything away from himself. Benjy said he is there every day. Gary said that he thinks Benjy believes what he's saying but he doesn't see it on a subliminal level. Gary said this could have just been Benjy alone and it would be a big deal for him. Benjy said it was a big deal. He said he just wants her to be happy and he likes being able to do that.
Gary said that there is a very strange visual with Benjy and Elisa. He said they were touching hands and tapping each other like Morse code. Gary said it was very strange. Benjy said they had code for what they were doing so they could let each other know what they were thinking.
Jon said that Robin found out that Elisa is into women and he wondered if that's what's keeping them apart. Benjy said he's not sure about that. Jon asked Ronnie if he heard that part. Gary said that she was saying that when she has sex she thinks about women and not the guy in front of her. Ronnie said he had a conversation with Elisa in the hallway. He said she was trying to get advice on doing the interview. Ronnie said he told her that he doesn't think that she should ask him that. He told her to go with her gut. Ronnie said that the worst thing to happen is that it could be a shitty interview. Ronnie said he asked what's up with her and Benjy and she said she loves him as a friend. Ronnie said then she opened up a little bit and she said that ''it just doesn't open for him anymore.'' He said he's not sure what ''it'' meant but he was thinking it meant her pussy. Gary asked if that's really what he got out of that. Ronnie said she was also talking about how she doesn't go out with a lot of people and she's trying to build her career. Ronnie said he told her that's great but he asked more about Benjy and she just kept saying they're just friends.
Jon asked Benjy if it's okay with him that it's not going to open for him. Benjy said that doesn't matter to him right now. He said it's a long road and he has to see where he's at in 6 months. Gary asked Benjy when he realized he had to move on. Benjy said he's been thinking about it more recently. Benjy said that he's been reading about how people handle things recently. He said he looked at sex compulsively. He said that he wants to see where he's at after he goes through this thing he's going through. He said he's jerking off with no thoughts of anything and things like that.
Ronnie said there is another issue. He asked if his family feels that she's holding back his career. Benjy said that's not true. Ronnie said that's what she says. Ronnie said that he also heard that his family doesn't like her. Benjy said he is very close with her family and she's not as close with his family as he is with her's. Ronnie said she feels like his family hates her. Jon said it sounds like they had a hell of a conversation out there. Ronnie said he felt bad. He said that she feels like his family feels that she's using him to further her career. Gary said if that was the case then today didn't help. Jon said that is a tough road to go down. Benjy said there were some things that came up after the interview was announced and people didn't say things in the nicest way... but his family. Jon said they had to take a break and get back to that.
Jon asked Benjy if he caught himself staring at Howard today. Benjy said he thinks that something about him gets to him. Gary said that's one thing that he was getting into that bored him. Benjy said he's not sure if Howard is doing shtick when he says that or not. He said it's interesting if it's for real. He said maybe he feels they want something from him.
Jon said Benjy and Elisa brought up Howard's friends and Gary's name was on that list. Gary said some days he is and some days he's not. He said he's mostly on that list.
Jon said Howard also mentioned he cried when his kids left at Thanksgiving. Gary said he has had opportunities to cry in front of his kids and he always feels like it makes him look weak. He said that maybe it's okay to do that. Jon said his youngest daughter is about to go to college so he gets why Howard would get upset. He said that he thinks he'd tear up too.
Jon asked Ronnie if he ever gets choked up. Shuli said Ronnie is a very sensitive guy. Ronnie said he has gotten choked up. He said he doesn't want to get into details but he's heard it from Howard before too. Jon said that Benjy bringing that up was a good question. He said it got them talking about other things too. Gary said he liked that one and also them asking if Howard feels people use him. Gary said it would have been interesting if they asked him if he thinks that people use Beth to get to him. Benjy said they were going to ask that. Gary said he can see why they'd go in that direction.
Jon took a call from a guy who said it seems like they had a lot of questions that Benjy didn't get to. Benjy said that he did. Benjy said Pittsburgh Pete had suggested one question that he got to. Gary said that's one guy they forgot to put on the most annoying phone caller poll.
Gary said Howard was saying today that he wants to do things on his own terms. He said that it may not happen like that. He said that if Robin hadn't made it then he would have ended the show and he wouldn't be ending it on his own terms.
Jon and the guys also talked about how Benjy mentioned he has a key to his parent's house. Jon and Gary don't have keys. Jon said he knows where one is. Ronnie said he had a key to his mother's house and he's glad he did. He didn't have to break down her door when she had her stroke. Benjy said he has keys to a few people's houses. He said that he doesn't actually have one to Elisa's parent's house. He said that was a joke. Gary said he thought he was serious.
Jon asked the guys how they felt Benjy and Elisa did today. Gary said they did very good. Ronnie said that he thinks Elisa brought out the interview. He said her being there with him made it better. He said the questions were better and the way they brought the out was better. He said it was a good idea to do it with her. Benjy said that they would love to do anything if anyone is looking.
Shuli said that it was a good sign that they didn't get dragged out forcibly. Benjy said that was a consideration.
Jon said that he didn't think the interview was going to end and Gary had to go in there. Gary said he felt like he had to go in there and help it end. He said you don't want people saying they went too long. He said that Benjy asked a few more questions even after they only gave him 2 more. He said Benjy was ignoring the flashing red light like comedians have on stage.
Jon asked Shuli what he had in the Howard 100 News. Shuli ran down a few headlines for today's news. He also got in a plug for Leiberman Live. Jon got in a plug for Sternthology and wrapped up the show. They were done around 11:00am.
Howard started the show talking about how exhausted he was. He said he has been up since 1 in the morning. He said he was really affected by being called an idiot in the paper yesterday. He said he went to the psychiatrist yesterday. He said he has learned a lot since yesterday too. He said he's not sure how much he wants to drag this out.
Howard said yesterday in the Daily News there was an article written about his interview with Seth Rogen and James Franco. He said most of the media outlets went with what they talked about with Seth and James. He said the Daily News picked up on the terrorist aspect of the whole thing. Howard said he spent an hour bitching about it yesterday. He said he called the reporters bitches and cunts. He said he doesn't like doing that. He said he was just so angry yesterday. He said he was off the chart angry. He felt violated. Howard said they had taken something he did in an interview and twisted it. He said he got off the air and someone told him two emails. He said this person is friends with one of the reporters. The woman is a huge fan of theirs and she feels horrible. He said she sent him the article they wrote and he has the original that they submitted and it was lovely. He said it was interesting and lovely. Howard asked if Robin is with him so far. Robin said she is.
Howard said it seems some anonymous editor took that article. Howard said that this editor looked at the article that had a lot of good information in it and decided to take it without them knowing it, change it and attack him. Howard said then he created the headline calling him an idiot. Howard said that person didn't put his name on the article. He said he left their names on it. Howard said this is the worst kind of journalism.
Howard said the Daily News has been good to him over the past few years. Especially Marianne Garvey. He said someone over there decided they had to sell papers. Howard said the reporters didn't make up the story. He said the editor's job is to protect the paper. He said Rolling Stone had a reporter who made up a story once about rape. He said the magazine failed to check the story. Howard said that in this case it was the editor who made this up.
Howard said from what he's read he doesn't think that Mort Zuckerman would approve of this. Howard said he felt really bummed yesterday. He said there was a movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger was framed with a false report. He said that's how he feels.
Howard said that he was talking about how cyber terrorism is terrorism. Howard said that he thinks it's reasonable to maybe ignore some of that stuff. Howard said he isn't saying they can't talk about it but this is stolen material. Howard said Linda Stasi did a number on him saying that he's an elitist. Howard said he's not tied in with Sony. He said that he loves this country. Now these hackers are threatening to kill people who go to see this movie. Howard said Seth and James canceled their publicity tour. Howard said that he was right. He said this is terrorism. Howard said he's hardly an insider in Hollywood. Howard said he would have said this about any corporation that was hacked. Howard said Linda Stasi wasn't vicious about it but what they're not writing about is that this Daily News editor took the article and changed it. Howard said he thinks that Mort Zuckerman would be flipping out about it.

Howard said he told his psychiatrist the whole story and he said of course he's angry and he has every right to be. Howard said he even said to him that the Daily News should be saying that North Korea is out of line, not Howard Stern. Robin said this has happened before with Howard. Howard said he feels so strongly for the families that lost people in 9/11. Howard said he's reacting to that and any terror threat. Howard said what happened in Australia and people being killed, intimidated and bullied.
Howard said that this is the work of terrorists and he would defend any company this happened to. He said he's not a Hollywood insider like Linda Stasi says he is.
Howard said he decided to call Mort Zuckerman yesterday. He said that he was walking around all bummed out about it. Howard said he wanted him to know that the editor is changing a story around. Howard said he read the original article and it was fine. Howard said the reporter wasn't out to get him, the editor was. Howard said that guy is a coward because he didn't put his name on the article.
Howard said long story short he's very upset. He said that he called and asked for Mort. Howard said he was told he wasn't available. He said he left his number and he figured he'd never call. Howard said he would have liked a call. Howard said he wanted to tell Mort what he had learned about his editor. Howard said he spoke to a receptionist there and she knew who he was from America's Got Talent. Howard said he tried calking two places. He said he didn't get a call back. He said he could be out of the country for all he knows. Howard said he wasn't going to be mean. He said he was just going to say that this is yellow journalism. Howard said that he wanted to sell newspapers. Howard said he was walking around town as an idiot who doesn't understand violence. Howard said he loves this country and that's just not the case. Howard said he never leaves the country because he loves it so much.
Howard said he thinks that Mort agrees with him about cyber terrorism. Howard said he really doesn't think that Linda Stasi has it right about him. He said she did a fine job with her article but he isn't an insider. He said that this wasn't helping him out. Howard said he's glad that the Daily News didn't print the pictures of Jennifer Lawrence. He said they were stolen pictures. Howard said that Linda Stasi seems to think he has something to do with Sony but he doesn't. Howard said he thinks that North Korea has something to do with this and they're attacking us. He said they're our enemy.
Howard said that this shoving of humus up someone's ass is something he's all for. He said that sometimes it will help and sometimes it won't. Robin said they might have an innocent man in their hands. Howard said he's okay with that. Robin asked if he's really okay with that. Howard said that's war. He said we are at war. He told her to look at what's going on around the world. He said we are in a world war now. Just look around.
Howard said they have interviewed many World War II veterans and they did the same thing to the Nazis. Howard said that he doesn't have a problem with humus.
Howard said he loves the police and the job they do. Howard said he thinks they've stopped a lot of terror attacks. Howard said he loves the soldiers and the firemen. He said he loves that they continue to do their jobs. Robin said we need some distinction between the good guys and the bad guys.
Howard said the racial tension makes him sad. He said if you stop and consider what's going on with race... He said he's not even sure he should get into this. He said there were people who systematically brutalized black people in slavery. He said they would have welcomed humus up their asses. Howard said the slave owners would rape these women and children. Howard said that's torture. Robin said that many people died on the way there because they were kept in a hold and they weren't fed. Robin said they were thrown overboard. Howard said it's awful.
Howard said this is the history of this country. Howard said imagine then slavery stops. He said it was legal in this country. He said then some white conservative says that they have to get with the system and they're not going to help them. Howard said he cringes when people are against affirmative action. Howard said that he's surprised that black people didn't go completely berserk. He said that they went through that and they're not super angry. Howard said the bigger insult is saying to a black person that they have to fix the problem. He said it's also the white person's problem. Howard said that he gets to hear this shit all the time because he's white. He said he hears people saying ''Oh, she married a black man'' or ''Oh, they hired a black person'' and things like that. He said he's not sure that the racial problem can ever be fixed. Robin said it has improved drastically in the past 60 years. Howard said it has but he hates seeing police being attacked over this. He said racism is so overwhelming in this country. He said it's just so bad right now. Howard said as a young guy he had an interesting perspective growing up. He said he read the book about Malcolm X and things like that. He said he's not sure that the racism is going to be fixed in his lifetime but he hopes some peace will come eventually.
Howard said he wants to thank Jeff Jarvis for supporting him. He had him on the phone again today. Howard said he doesn't hate the Daily News. Howard said he thinks it's a rogue editor who did this to him. He said that he wishes he'd apologize in the paper to him.
Jeff told Howard that there is a move to get people to sign their articles. He said that would get this editor to put his name on articles. Howard said that there were two people who wrote the article and the editor's name is not on it. He said that he changed it and didn't put his name on it.
Jeff said they didn't come out after the terrorists threatened to bomb the movie theaters that ''The Interview'' was going to be playing in. Howard said they are being dishonest there at the Daily News. Howard said that the hated the idea walking around being ridiculed by a paper that carries a lot of weight. Howard said he keeps mentioning the newspaper and he's going to stop after this. He said he had to get it off his chest though. Howard said the two reporters didn't write the article. Jeff said that there is an attack on American Free Speech and that's being lost. Jeff said he was there on 9/11 and he saw the World Trade Center being attacked. He said Howard wasn't saying it was the same thing. Howard said Linda Stasi was accusing him of talking about it because it helps him in some way. Jeff said that we're being threatened in our own country where we are supposed to have free speech. He said that threatening to attack over a movie that was made is attacking free speech.
Howard said no one wants to see this shit going down. Howard said that what most people are seeing that he's being called an idiot. Howard said that's all people are going to remember. Howard said he would like them to consider undoing that and admitting that the editor changed the story. Howard said they have to come clean and admit it. Howard said he doesn't want to be fucked with because he has a thin skin. Howard said these reporters didn't even write that story.
Robin said the chilling effect of what this cyber attack is doing is affecting what kind of movies people are going to want to make. Jeff said she's right. Howard said that they're helping these cyber attacks by printing this stuff. Howard said it's time to say that we don't stand for this stuff. Jeff said that what they're teaching is news judgment.
Howard said years ago he did a pay per view special. He said this woman Kay Gardella did a review of that special and she didn't like it. He said that he talked to her and she admitted that she never watched it. She wrote a review without watching it. Howard said a few months later they fired her. Jeff said that he was the one who replaced her. He said that's how he became a fan of Howard's. Jeff said he learned that Howard was more than the sum of his parts. Howard said Kay was never let go because of that but he thinks she was. Howard said that she never watched what she reviewed. Howard said he was never issued an apology but whatever. He said it still sucked. Howard said he has had a good experience with them too because Marianne Garvey is very nice to him in the paper. He said there are a lot of good reporters over there. Howard said what he did do was some investigating. Howard said a close friend of his found this out for him. He said it turns out the reporters are livid. Howard said that he won't say if he's spoken to them or not. He said he doesn't want to get anyone in trouble. He said even the editor. Jeff said the editor is the one who was belittling 9/11, not Howard.
Howard said the bottom line in all of this is that it was a hatchet job on him and he was the one made the buffoon and the idiot. Howard said this time he doesn't think he was an idiot. He said there have been times he was an idiot. Howard said that this article that the reporters really wrote was lovely. Howard said that Seth and James had to stop their publicity tour. Robin said it was the company itself that stopped them.
Jeff asked Howard what he thinks about that. He asked if Sony should start a campaign to show the movie online. Howard said the company is made up of people who don't have all the answers. Howard said they are reeling right now and they have no idea what to do. Howard said they don't want anyone to get killed. Howard said they just want to make movies. Robin said they're questioning why they made the movie at all. Robin said that's the real problem. Robin said that worrying about that is the problem.
Howard said when we were at war with Hitler there were many movies made about Hitler. Jeff said they're not comparing North Korea to Hitler. Howard said that's right, he doesn't want to be called an idiot again. Howard said that they're bullying people into doing things and that's why he's right about saying this is terrorism.
Howard said he'd appreciate the editor calling him and explaining himself. He said that he's angry and he'd like to get over it. Robin said that his psychiatrist told him he was right to be angry. Howard said that made him even more angry. Howard said he has a job where he goes on the air and if he's angry he can't get rid of it.
Howard said he watched Saturday Night Live from this week. Howard said they have a woman on SNL who does this thing called Jacob the Bar Mitzvah boy. Howard said he was rolling watching that. Jason said that's Vanessa Bayer. Jason said that he didn't have the letter from Martha. Howard said he thought he forwarded it. Gary said he had it and he was printing it.
Gary told Howard that bit on SNL always makes him laugh too. Howard said she has this incredible smile like a nervous kid getting up at a bar mitzvah. He said that it's the funniest bit. He said she's fucking great. He said it's killer and it's so right on.
Howard said they also have a guy on SNL and the guy plays a morning show couple. Howard said that he's southern character. Jason said it's Taran Killam. Howard asked who the new black guy is on the news. Gary said it's Michael something. Michael Che. Howard said he's really good too.
Howard said they had Charli XCX on the show and she's dancing like a stripper. He said her songs are good. Robin told him to stop it. Robin said the music is not good. She said she was awful. Howard said he disagrees 100 percent. Howard said that Robin loved the movie Hitch. That's all he'll say.
Howard said this girl is very young. Gary said she used to be a back up dancer for someone famous. Howard played some of one of her songs. He asked Jeff if he knows her. Jeff said he doesn't know her. He said he's the same age as Howard is so he doesn't know.

Howard took a call from a guy who said that the Daily News should be printing a retraction in the paper for Howard. Howard said that won't happen. He said the Daily News has been pretty good to him but someone had a bug up their ass about him. The caller, Rich, asked Howard if he saw the documentary about Cream. Howard said he wasn't able to get through it. Howard said he loved the band but he wasn't into it. He said it was depressing. Howard said he doesn't want to be depressed all the time.
Howard said that he loved Foxcatcher and that was depressing. Howard said Ginger Baker seemed like a real character. Fred said at the end of the movie he went after the guy who made the movie. Howard said it was kind of a bummer. Fred said Eric Clapton seemed like he was kind of scared the whole time.
Howard said it's time for news. They played Robin into her news with a song parody. That was by Daniel Mendelson. Howard said someone asked why they didn't have any of his songs in the top 5 the other day. Howard said he is a great parody song guy. Howard said it was very disappointing.
Howard said he made some derogatory comments about his looks. He said that someone said that he isn't the most handsome person but he has a very memorable face. Howard said he took that as a compliment. Howard said the woman said that he has a face full of angles and planes.
Howard read some email and said he got some about Bill Cosby, the worst phone caller poll and more. Howard said someone suggested that they name the worst caller award after the winner. He said it should be called The Bobo Award.
Howard said some people said he was being a baby yesterday about the whole Daily News thing. Howard said that he puts his name on something if he yells about it. Howard said he's not some nameless editor who changes it and leaves someone else's name on it.
Howard said he is a fan of the Daily News. He said he's not looking for people to cancel. Howard said he'd just like some honesty.
Howard said some people liked the Benjy and Elisa interview. Robin said as a team they had worked out some interesting signals. Howard said they were very loving signals. Benjy asked how Howard felt. Howard said it was fine but he didn't really care. He said he just did it. Benjy said they want to do better with Robin's interview. Howard said he heard Fred protesting. He doesn't want to be interviewed by Benjy. Fred said he's not a fan of that style of interviewing. Benjy asked if Robin would do it. Robin said she might.
Howard read some of the feedback he got about Benjy and Elisa. There were a few complaints about them. Howard said that some people thought Elisa talked too fast. Howard said that he thought the had some positive feedback in there. Fred said there were some but they were kind of mixed in there.
Howard asked if they're going to get Big Foot in there with his girlfriend. Someone had asked in the email. Gary told Howard that they are discussing it for after the new year. Howard said that's all he wanted to know.
Howard said they had pictures of Elisa on the web site and it's something to see. He said that they had them sitting next to each other. Fred said they showed Benjy's King Kong boots. Benjy said he likes to wear those for special occasions. Howard said those shoes are so retarded. He said his wife asked about them and she thought they were insane. Howard said they're like 5 feet tall. Benjy said he likes them.
Howard said Elisa told him who the A-list woman was who she was interested in. He said that she really is an A-lister.
Howard said they went out on the street and asked about the Benjy interview. Howard played some people saying they had no idea what they were talking about.
Robin started her news with a story about a man dying when a tire swing hit him in the face. Howard said that's no way to go out. Robin said he was there with his niece and he got stuck in the face and ended up dying from the strike. Howard said that is no way to go out.
Robin read a story about the clinic where Joan Rivers died and how they're vowing to change their ways. Robin said they don't want anything like this to happen ever again. Robin said they won't be doing doctor selfies anymore.
Howard said that they will be airing a Jerry Sandusky interview segment during vacation. Howard said he was in prison with Jerry Sandusky. Howard said he has a little teaser clip. Howard had a few clips of a Sandusky impersonator saying some goofy things. Robin asked when they can hear the whole thing. Howard said they have to write more material before that happens.
Robin read a story about how Vladimir Putin is Russia's Man of the year for the 15th time in a row. Howard said that Kim Jong Un is the North Korean man of the year too. He said he's always the man of the year. Howard said it seems that the sanctions against Russia are making them suffer. Robin said that he's about to sign in more sanctions in the next few days.
Howard played a clip of a bit they created about Putin and Obama's secret love affair called ''Brokeback Kremlin.'' Howard did a live commercial read after that.
Robin read a story about Bill Cosby's daughter defending him. Robin said that she claims that she knows the real Cosby. Robin said that she's saying she's not sure why the media hasn't vetted these women. Robin had some audio of someone commenting on that.
Robin read a story about Mark David Chapman whose wife is still his wife. Howard said everything about that story was fascinating. Howard said he married her 18 months before he killed John Lennon and she stayed with him. Howard said they get conjugal visits. Robin said that she says the sex is good too. Howard asked who gets more sex, Benjy or Mark David Chapman. Robin said right now it's Mark. Howard said that's the truth.
Howard asked Fred if his wife is coming to the holiday party this year. Fred said she will not. He said that she has Jury duty that day as well. Howard said he has a feeling something is up. Fred said there really isn't anything up. Howard said he has the feeling that Fred killed her 3 years ago. Fred said she's got Grand Jury Duty so she's busy until January 5th. Howard asked Fred if the jury had a problem with his wife being married to him. Fred said apparently not. He said he had jury duty once and when he told them what he did for a living everyone gasped.
Robin read more about the Mark David Chapman story. Howard said the thing that was really repugnant was the woman saying that Yoko should forgive Mark. Robin said she said she hopes she finds Jesus and finds it in her heart to forgive him. Robin said that Mark did blame his wife at one point for going through with killing John Lennon. Robin said that he expected her to go get someone to get him under control. Robin said that she claims that it's her belief in Jesus that has let her go on with her life even though they've lost their friends.
Robin read about what's going on with the movie ''The Interview''. Robin said there will be a lot more police at the theaters because of the threats. Howard said that this is a different form of terrorisms than killing someone until they actually kill someone. Robin said the hackers have threatened to kill people who go to see the movie. Howard said that he's an idiot for calling it terrorism. Howard said he just wants everyone to know that. Robin said a New York City move theater is nixing the premiere of the movie. Robin said that the police in New York City say they are ready. Robin said the premiere was supposed to be tomorrow night but they canceled because of the threat.
Robin asked if Howard would go see the movie. Howard said he has already seen it. Howard said he is a big coward. He said that it will affect the box office. Robin said she is going to make a public and very loud show of support. Howard said he's proud of her. Howard did his Steve Langford impression and said he loves that call that the guys did with Steve. Sour was making all kinds of weird sounds. Howard wondered what he's on this morning. Robin said she doesn't thinks he does that kind of thing. Howard said he's heard him call into other shows and his connection is much clearer. Howard said he might be being bogged down by effects. Howard bailed on the call. He said it's not going anywhere. Howard said he called himself Wally from Yonkers.
Robin said people are reacting to the Taliban attack in Pakistan yesterday. Robin said they are calling it blood curdling. Howard had some audio of someone commenting on the attacks.
Howard took a call from Jeff the Bore who said that he's on Instagram and Twitter. He said if anyone refers to him as boring he will block them. Jeff said he will end his relationship with them if they do that. Howard said they've heard it there first. Jeff also said he wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone. Howard played him off with a Jeff the Bore song parody. Howard asked how he can get himself blocked by Jeff. Robin said just call him Jeff the Bore.
Robin had some audio of John McCain commenting on the Pakistan attacks. Howard took a call from Hanzi who had fallen asleep. Howard kept saying hello but Hanzi was snoring. Howard asked if Hanzi or Sour Shoes parents are more depressed about their kid. Robin said she thinks Hanzi's are. Howard said Hanzi is Pakistani. He asked what he thinks about what went on there. Hanzi said ''whatever...'' He said that he knows Howard won't keep him on that long anyway. He said that Howard knows that North Korea didn't do the hacking. He said it was probably the CIA or something. He said it's not North Korea. Howard thanked him for the call. Hanzi told him to have a nice holiday and ''fuck you.'' Howard told him to go back to his basement. Hanzi said he's already there. Howard asked if he celebrates this Christmas thing. Hanzi said he celebrates Eid. Howard had never even heard of that. He spent a minute talking to him about that.
Howard had Ralph on the phone. He asked if he wanted to argue with Hanzi. Ralph said that's not why he called in. He said everyone should go online and check out Benjy's boots. He said that they look ridiculous. Ralph said he has a suggestion for Sony too. He said they should release the movie everywhere digitally and offer it for 10 bucks so everyone can see it and fuck North Korea. Howard said Ralph is thinking like the President. Howard thanked him for the call and Hanzi too. Howard said Hanzi's song parody was voted number 1 for the year. Ralph said sometimes there's too much Hanzi. Robin asked Howard what he thinks about race relations in this country and if he thinks they're good or bad. Howard said they are bad. Robin said they have done a study and found that people feel they are bad. Robin said they say that you should change your thoughts on it if you feel they're bad. Howard said he just wants to go home. He said Robin is yelling at him and he's scared.
Robin read a story about a man who was stranded on an island near the Bahamas for almost a week. Robin said the coast guard rescued the man after someone saw the fire he set on an island. Robin said the man was stranded for about 6 days. Robin said the man said that his dinghy failed while he was at sea.
Robin said if you plan on packing heat during the holidays you should check your gun at the ticket counter or you risk having it confiscated. Robin said that people are bringing more and more guns to the airports. Robin said that they've had 2000 of them confiscated at the airports so far this year.
Robin read about how less and less teens are using alcohol and tobacco and hard drugs. Robin had some audio of someone commenting on that.
Robin read about Governor Chris Christie going to a rehab house to talk about getting rid of the stigma of going to rehab.
Robin said they should end the news with some Christmas songs. Robin had some songs that were completely A Cappella. Howard said he likes music that has no instruments too. Robin had him play those songs. Howard said it's a lot of work to do that. He said they try to sound like instruments that actually exist. He said they could just play them. Howard said he wanted to dance. He said he actually invented a dance when he was with Ralph the other day. He said he calls it the Windshield Wiper. Howard said he had the song ''7'' by Prince. Howard said he does this dance he calls Windshield Wiper. Fred wasn't able to find the song ''7'' so he played something else. Howard showed Robin and the guys the dance. Howard moved his hands like windshield wipers. Benjy got up and tried it too. Howard said he showed it to Ralph and he was ridiculing him over it. Benjy said it's fun.
Robin got back to the songs that she wanted Howard to play. Howard played more of the songs and said he likes the Perez Hilton and Benjy song better. Howard played the song he was talking about which was songs about fingering Benjy. Howard said he could listen to that all day long. The voice was Kyle Dunnigan. Howard said he had a million of them. Howard wrapped up the show around 10:10am.
Jon said he doesn't think that Scott was laughing about this one. JD said he thinks that he still doesn't get what he did wrong. Jon asked if he really doesn't know. JD said the way he was talking made it seem that way.
Gary said that Scott is very irritated beyond belief. He said he was at dinner with Mary last night and he was telling her about this. He said it's so easy to not be in that position. He said he's not sure how he stuffs that in there and doesn't realize what he's doing. Gary said that he still went out last minute to buy something but he could have spent 50 bucks. Jon said he comes off very cheap. He said he didn't do himself any favors this morning. He said that Scott also called someone a bitch on Twitter when she commented on the whole thing yesterday.
Gary said that no one cared about waiting to tell him about who did that. He said they were all waiting on line to tell him.
Jon asked Gary what happened when Howard went in there. Gary said he heard it was Secret Santa and just walked away. Jon asked JD what he thought about his $50 gift card. JD said he doesn't go there every day. He said that he may use it. Gary asked if he would use it in 2 months. JD said he goes every Thursday just about. JD said he thought Sal gave it to him. Jon and Gary said they don't think so.
Jon said that he gave Sal a holiday card and this morning he saw a card on his desk. He said he opened it up and it's the card he gave him 2 years ago. He crossed his name off of it and wrote his name in it. JD said Sal took that card and gave it to him too. Gary said the first year he worked for the show everyone forgot it was his birthday. He said Fred took a card off someone's desk and whited it all out and gave it to him instead. He said he loved that.
Jon asked JD how long it took him to pick a gift out for his Secret Santa. JD said he went on their Twitter account and looked up who they followed on Twitter. He said he found some NBA stuff and he came up with the gift that way. Jon said at least he put in the time. He said it would have been nice if Scott had done that with Steve. He said he didn't do that and there is no excuse for that.
Gary said that he didn't know who this person was but he heard about what he likes and he looked into getting a gift card but he ended up giving an Amazon gift card instead.
JD said he was a little confused about the gift so he went to the person and asked them to make sure that it was a good gift. Jon said it kind of defeats the purpose of the ''secret'' part of Secret Santa. JD said he didn't want to screw it up. Jon said he did that by asking.
Jon asked JD what he gave the person. JD said he gave him a card and said that he had a gift card coming to his email. Gary said that he could have printed it out and given it to the guy. He said he didn't have to send it to his email. JD said it's fine. He asked what they want from him. He said he was just trying to be nice.
Gary asked Jon what he got. Jon said he got the movie Network and a book about the movie. He also got a gift card to Chipoltle. He said that he was Richard Christy's secret Santa so he got him a t-shirt and hat on it that say ''Hoser'' on it. He said Richard knew who it was from.
Jon said that Steve Nowicki is making his Wrap Up Show debut now. Howard asked Steve if he knew he had Scott in the Secret Santa thing. Steve said he didn't know it until he saw the card that he had signed. He said he proudly gave him the $25. Jon said you don't have to spend 50 but it is common courtesy to approach that number. Steve said Scott is just so pissed off at him about it. He said he thinks that he went to them about it but he didn't. Gary said it was other people who came to him. He said Steve had nothing to do with it. Jon asked how it went down. Steve said everyone was asking what they got. He said he just said he got a gift card for $25 and then there was a stampede to Gary's office.
Jon asked Gary what he did when he heard about it. Gary said he wrote it on a Post-It to remind him to talk about it the next morning. Gary said he had multiple people coming to him about it. He said he had at least 4. Jon asked Steve if he had anything to say to Scott. Steve said he thanked Scott for it and he told him not to fucking talk to him. Gary said that he's officially a member of the show now that Scott has told him to go fuck himself.
Gary said that Steve didn't even do anything. He just told people what he got. Steve said he's just happy he got a gift and that he's there. JD said he doesn't think those two will be talking at the holiday party. Jon said they had to take a break after that.
Scott said he didn't think about the price of his E-cig. He said that he wasn't concerned with what it cost. Jon said that it was signed by him and it was clearly 25 bucks. He said all Steve did was open it up. He said he doesn't think Steve did anything wrong. Scott said he wasn't angry at Steve.
Gary said Steve is a kid and he knows that every move is going to be looked at. Scott said his head wasn't in it. He said he wasn't concerned with whatever the reaction was going to be. Gary asked if it's worth 25 dollars more to not have to deal with it. Scott said it would be.
Ronnie said that Scott wouldn't have gotten shit if he didn't get the note from Laura. Scott said he didn't know when they were going to do it. He said that he didn't know they were doing it on Tuesday. Jon said that they can do some math there and figure out when it was going to happen. Scott said that he just didn't think about it at all.
Jon asked Ronnie how pissed Scott was. Ronnie said they looked at the schedule and Scott was wondering who was going to get shit today. He had no idea it was coming.
Scott said they work in an environment of rats. He said he didn't even think about it. He said he was totally out of the whole thing this year. Jon said he should know better. Scott said he will go out and get the other half of the gift. Steve said he's happy with the 25. He doesn't want the other half.
Steve said that Scott tweeted back at some woman who said he was a cheapo that she was a bitch. Steve said that he thinks he said something about getting a cheap gift himself.
Jon took a call from a woman who said that the secret Santa thing isn't supposed to be secret forever. Ronnie said the secret is before. He said you write your name on the gift. Gary said they don't know exactly how it works.
Steve Brandano said that it normally works like you pick the name and buy the present. Then you open the gifts and try to guess who gave you the present. He said that you're not supposed to sign the card. The caller said if they just give gift cards then you'll never guess. Steve said it should be a personal gift.
Gary said he had Scott's tweet. He said they tweeted out about the secret Santa thing. Scott shot back at the woman for saying he'd bitch about it if someone did that to him. Gary said that Scott claims someone did it to him and he didn't say a word about it. Scott said that he was saying that he wouldn't whine about it because it has happened to him. Scott said he knows the price of things. Jon asked if he looked up the price of the E-cig. Scott said he did not.
Jon took a call from a guy who said that Scott is a dumb asshole. He said he's an adult and he has been to a thousand of these things. He said he's such a cheap mother fucker. He said he's out of his mind screaming at his radio. He asked if he's serious. Scott said he made a mistake. He said his head wasn't in it. The caller said his head is never in it.
Gary said he wants to jump in on this too. He said he's not calling him cheap but he should know that he's going to have to deal with this and it's worth the money to not deal with it. Scott said he's sorry and he knows it's a mistake. He said he just has a lot going on.
Gary said that he works on the Howard Stern Show and he knows that he has to tip well when he goes out to eat. Jon said he does the same thing.
Jon said that he heard that Scott was looking for material when he went in the studio. Scott said Shuli was giving him material, he wasn't looking for it. Jon asked if he has apologized to Steve Nowicki at all. Scott said he's sorry if he was offended. He said next time he will go for the maximum amount allowable by law.
Jon asked if he will get him more to make up for it. Scott said he will. He said he was told he could spend up to 50 bucks. He said that if he counts up what he spent then he's left with about 17 bucks.
Jon asked Ronnie if Scott is cheap. Ronnie said that he was busy. Gary read about how Secret Santa is supposed to work. He said they did it the right way. Jon said they'll move off of this after the break. They went to break a short time later.

Ralph asked Jon about who his secret Santa was. Jon said it was Kyle. Ralph added up what he got and Jon said he thinks it all totaled 50 bucks. Gary said that you spend about 50 and not go over it. Ralph asked if it's not going over 50 or spend about 50. Gary asked how he doesn't understand this. Ralph said if it's not going over 50 bucks then you spend less. He said that's what Scott did.
Ralph said he has worked in an office too. He said Gary doesn't even know what Secret Santa is. Gary said what they did was the right way. He said he read it online. He said Ralph really is the worst caller. They let Ralph go a short time later.
Gary said Ralph gets under his skin on purpose. He said he wonders sometimes if he does this just to get them upset. Jon said he thinks that he does and that makes him a good caller because he can adjust on the fly.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he thinks King of All Blacks is the worst. He said everyone loves Bobo so he can't believe he won. He said that blew his mind.
Gary said what he likes about King is that people don't like that he's the representative of the black community.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked how Ralph doesn't understand the limit of a Secret Santa thing. He said he thought it was common knowledge. Jon said that Ralph isn't cheap when it comes to giving gifts so he has to give him that. The caller said he doesn't seem cheap and he's wondering how he can defend Scott.
Jon asked the caller if he thinks that Scott should make up the difference. The caller said that he should just let it go. He said that ship has already passed.
Gary said that Scott was saying that he spent more than 25 with the card and the fees. He said if that's the case then just give the guy a $50 bill. He said that way there are no fees.
Jon said if it was Scott giving it to Gary then he can see it happening. Gary said he can too. He said he wouldn't even say anything.

Jon asked JD what he did to help the woman. JD said Richard was standing next to her and helping her out. Jon said that he could have just stayed on the phone. Richard said she probably thought they looked pretty harmless. Jon said maybe JD's heart is a little bigger than they thought. JD said he has become a very nice, sweet guy. Jon said that's as long as no one is getting in his way on his way home. JD said he wants to get somewhere and not wait.
Richard said he and Steve take the same train in so they take a longer walk to go past the Rockefeller tree. He said he enjoys all of that. Jon said that there are times you can't even move around there. Richard said he and his wife like to go out and people watch at a bar near Rockefeller Center. He said they like doing that stuff.
Richard said he's still trying to figure out who his Secret Santa was who gave him the Hoser t-shirt. He knew it was Jon. Richard said he listens to the Bob and Doug McKenzie 12 Days of Christmas special. Jon said that is a great one.
Jon asked JD if he is a giver or a receiver. JD said he is more of a receiver. He said he'd love to be able to be a better giver. He said he gets so stressed when he wants to make someone happy. Jon asked JD how often he watches commentary tracks on DVDs. JD said he hasn't done it in a while. He said he just watches so much stuff that he moves on. He said he used to listen to Kevin Smith and Paul Thomas Anderson's tracks and stuff. Richard said they have a great commentary on Spinal Tap. He said they stay in character as they're doing it. Jon said that the Sixth Sense commentary track was great too. He said he though tit was great but nothing compares to the commentary on the Birthday Bash special.
JD said he loves Benjy. He said they did okay. JD said both of them love to ask a question and then they have 5 other questions on the same subject. He said they're almost the same question. He said they do a lot of follow up and they have no structure. He said they came in with 100 sheets of paper. Jon said they're not professional interviewers. He said they could have had a better game plan. JD said Benjy has prepared notes for people before. He said he should know better. JD said they need a lot more structure.
Jon asked JD what he thought about Elisa saying that she's into women more than men. He said that it might make a guy feel like he's not needed. Jon said that she's one of those women who makes you want to hang in there until she realizes that the right man is right there in front of her. JD said he has been in that situation before. Richard said he would be so jealous if his girl was into other women. Jon said he would want to make sure that the woman he's with is into him. Jon said he only wants her thinking about him.
JD said there is a difference between love and desire though. He said that you can want someone but not love them. Jon said it's a dangerous line. He said that you can say you love someone and then say someone else is really hot and you want to take care of things with her.
Richard said he has told his wife that she can have a free pass with Bob Schieffer. Jon congratulated Bob for that. He said they had to take another break after that.
Jon asked JD about it again. JD said some people are okay with it and that's fine. He said some people who are into swinging are okay with that. He said that's fine.
Jon said that they've heard about some swingers on the show. He said that they have a particular balding man who used to drop his keys in the bowl. He said as long as you're not hurting anyone else that's fine. Richard said that most people pick someone who they will never have a shot at anyway.
Jon said that Bobo won the worst caller of all time title this week. He said that this argument may go on for a while. He said that everyone is passionate about the show. JD said that Bobo has some good calls. He said that maybe it's the body of work that people are commenting on. JD said that he's just a bad caller in general.
Jon said he feels bad for Bobo in a way. He said there are very few people who are more passionate about the show than he is. Richard said he will have that title forever. He said it's not a totally bad thing. JD said that they'll want to just call him the worst caller so he may like that. Richard said people may not want to wait to hear him on the phone now because they can hear his theme song. Jon said he thinks that it's going to wear on him a little bit. Richard said it does rub him the wrong way but that makes it funny. He said he doesn't think King would have cared so much about it. He said it's funnier when it bothers someone.
Jon said he thinks if King did win that he wouldn't care. Richard said he loved that King was out picking up leaves when he was on the phone. Jon said that did make it pretty great hearing the truck. Jon said they congratulate Bobo on winning that title.
Jon said Howard was very upset about the Daily News thing this week. He said he talked about how it really set him off when he saw the word ''idiot'' in print. He said that coupled with the way his dad treated him led to him being so angry during the week. JD said he can't imagine getting up in the morning and getting ready to go to work and you see that picture of yourself on the front page. He said it's a national paper and someone is calling you an idiot. He said it's ridiculous. Jon said it was pretty tough to see that with the Towers in the background. Jon said that Howard went off that morning and he thinks he stated his case clearly. He said he hopes that the editor would step forward and take responsibility. He said Jeff Jarvis said that they do name names in a lot of articles that are put out there in some publications.
Jon said they'll see if that person comes out. He went to JD for a comment and JD didn't have much to say. He was freaking out that Jon left him hanging there. Jon said they were going to end the show. He got in a plug for today's Sternthology before wrapping up. They were done around 10:50am.
Jon said they started off the year with the Birthday Bash and then ended the year with the Worst Caller. Jon said that everyone loves the tension there. He said that some people say there is no such thing as bad press but he thinks that anyone who won the worst caller contest was going to take it badly. Jon said that you're getting that attention because people don't like you on radio. Jon said that someone who can handle it is Ralph. He said he knows people don't like him but there are some who do. He said he's friends with Howard too so he doesn't care what people think. Jon said he thinks when it came to King and Bobo at the end it was King who was having fun with it. He said Bobo was getting more and more nervous as the announcement came. He said you could hear the exasperation in his voice when the vote did come. Jon said as this goes on Bobo will be tagged as the worst caller of all time. Jon wondered if that will wear down on him. He said he thinks it will. Jon said it won't send him into a home but it will take a toll.
Jon said Mariann wanted to win and she may not have been able to handle it either. He said he doesn't think Jeff the Drunk cares. He said Speech Impediment man may have enjoyed it. Jon said Steve deals with the callers so he wondered how he thinks they'd handle it. Steve said he thinks that King of All Blacks and Ralph are sane enough to know that it doesn't mean much. He said Mariann and Bobo would take it personally. Steve said Bobo isn't the worst caller in his opinion. He said he isn't sure how he will respond. He said he may try to prove when he calls that he's not the worst caller.
Jon said Bobo does get feisty when you question his loyalty to the show. Jon said that he doesn't think he's the worst caller either. He said he is an extreme fan and he does have that title. He said they'll continue to debate that today.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he was really upset the other day when he heard Howard pat himself on the back and rub himself on the back in the same stroke. He said he's so upset about being called an idiot. He said it could have helped his viewership with that article. He said he would have tuned into the show to hear him talk about that. Jon said that it can make people aware of the show but when you wake up to go to work and you see a picture of yourself on the paper and you're called an idiot, that's not a good thing. He said it was in huge type and it said Howard was an idiot. He said in the online version it wasn't there. He said it made a big difference. Jon said that Howard is very patriotic and you should hear that 9/11 show he did to understand that. Jon said they took his words out of context and they made him seem like he's unaware. Jon said that Howard's dad also called him a moron as he was growing up so you combine those two things and you can understand why he was so upset.
Jon said that it's everyone else who picks up the paper and sees it. He said they think he's up to the same old thing as a shock jock. He said it paints a picture that's inaccurate. He said if people did tune in to hear the show they were corrected. Jon said that his family and friends are also looking at it. He said it's a big deal. Jon said it's been made clear that he was very accurate at what he was saying. Jon said he can't believe that Sony pulled the movie. He said that you can't get pushed around like that. Jon said that's a whole other show. Jon said that any press can be good press but he thinks this one hurt him.
The caller said he thinks that it won't hurt Howard and it won't change anything about Howard at this point. He said he was just whining so hard. He said he had to turn the channel. He didn't need to cry so hard. He just wanted Howard to get over it. Jon said when that happens to you then you do that. He said that he hasn't heard Howard that angry in a long time.
Jon took a call from a guy who asked what they think would have happened if Eric the Actor was alive and he was in the contest. He asked if he would have bested Bobo. Jon said he was thinking about that this morning. He said he thinks he would have finished in the final 3. He said it may have come down to Bobo and Eric in the end. He said he would have loved to have heard how Eric would have handled winning that title. Jon asked Steve if he thinks he would have made it in there. Steve said he does. He said that they were also wondering if they were talking about people who annoy you most or are just the worst callers. He said Bobo has things to talk to Howard about. He said that Speech Impediment Man doesn't have that many things to ask. He said that it might be the annoying factor that gets the votes. He said he thinks Eric would have been up there but Eric may not have won unless it was a Sanjaya kind of thing where they just wanted to see how he'd respond.
Jon said he thinks Ralph has good questions but people can get annoyed by him. He said he thinks if Hanzi was part of it they would have voted for him because they're annoyed by him. He said that doesn't make him a bad caller.
Jon asked the caller what he thinks. The caller said he thinks that Eric would have been in the top 3. He also asked Jon how the guys from Howard TV are doing. Jon said they're doing well and doing their thing and getting by. He said they miss them up there. Jon said they miss having TV as well. He said he hopes they're all having a good holiday.
Jon took another call from a guy who said he would like to say that Bobo is an excellent caller. He said that when he comes on he can go to the bathroom or deal with the boss. He said it's a good chance to take a break from the show. Jon said there's a vote for Bobo in both ways. Jon thanked him for the call and went to break a short time later.

Jon said that he can't believe that it's been a year. He said the more you think about that show and how they pulled it off it's incredible. He said that it was great to pull it off. Steve said he knows a lot of the people they talked to and they had a lot of things to talk about that went on behind the scenes. He said it's really cool. He said he hopes the fans enjoy it. Steve said they'll get to hear a full Black Keys concert and a full Foo Fighters concert in there too.
Jon said the show is great to hear. He said that they have Joan Rivers, Howard and David Letterman and so much more. He said the guys did a really good job with it.
Jon said that he wanted to talk about the best and not so best parts of the show from the past year. Jon took a call from a guy who said that it has been a great year of shows. He said they have so many great guests and the death of Robin's cancer. He said that he's looking forward to the new start time and maybe a new Howard TV. Jon said that they are all excited about the 7 o'clock start. He said that Howard will get more sleep and that's good for them. Jon said commuting may change for everyone. Jon said that Sal will forget and show up at 6 so that will be funny. He said that the audience won't forget. He said that you'll turn on the show and hear Robin's news which will take you into the start of the show. Jon said if that makes Howard happy then so be it. He said the West Coast people won't have that big of a change. He said it's just an hour difference. Jon said some people don't want a happy Howard but they do there.
Jon took a call from a guy who said the show is awesome. He said he called the Stern Show recently to tell them how the Wrap Up Show should be replayed. He said it's the only program that will continue if Howard doesn't continue. He said he thinks that Steve is surprisingly good on the show too. Jon said he is very good on the show. He said Al Ragone is very good as well. Jon said he and Gary love doing the show for the audience.
The caller said he thought they had a lot of Benjy on the show and it made the regular show wand the Wrap Up Show worse. He asked how much there will be in 2015. Jon said Howard runs hot and cold on Benjy. He said that he's interested in what he has to say at times. Jon said that he could upset Howard and then you'll stop hearing from him. He said maybe you'll hear a little bit from Benjy but from then on who knows. He said that you never know who will be in the spotlight.
Jon said he thinks that Benjy has been on Wrap Up less lately but he likes having his perspective on things. He said that if he doesn't get the attention he's not sure if he'll do something to get that attention.
Jon took a call from a guy who said he was at the Birthday Bash but he's looking forward to hearing the director's cut. Jon said there is so much commentary in this thing. He said it's not just the staff. He said it's the audience and the celebrities who were there. Jon said that they'll get their perspective and he thinks that everyone who is a fan of the show will enjoy it. They went to break a short time later.
Jon said the other thing was the Billy Joel town hall. He said everyone there couldn't have been more nice. He said they were out of the studio and they were doing something different. Jon said he also thought the good news about Robin was a great thing this year. Jon said that she's cancer free now and she never lost her zest for life. He said he's so glad that it was a great year for her. He said he hopes next year is even better. Jon said Robin lost one day of work, that's it. He said that is incredible.
Jon asked Steve what he liked this year. Steve said he thinks there were some great guests like Robert Downey Jr., Jim Carrey and others. He said there was also a lot of Superfan love in the way of Ike Barinholtz and Amy Poehler coming on the show. He said it's fun to see people you see on TV loving Howard and the show. He said he's looking forward to more of that in 2015.
Jon asked Lisa G what she thinks. Lisa said that she thinks Tan Mom was a big deal in 2014. She said she liked when Eric Andre came in and worked the phones. She said from behind the scenes it's joyful to see super Stern fans come in and they're celebrities. She said Eric was at the top of that list.
Jon said that Benjy's moment with Perez Hilton stood out too. He said it was a crazy year. Jon took a call from a woman who said she has been listening since 1981. She said that she has lived in L.A. for about a year and she can't find a person who loves Howard and will admit it. She said it's only creative famous people who love Howard. She said she has been defending Howard all week with the whole stupid thing in the paper. She said that she's so appreciative of the show. She said it's been a part of her life since she was 13. She also said that she's glad that Steve is getting more air time.
Jon took a call from a guy who said that it has been an awesome year. He asked if they think Benjy is jealous of JD getting so much air time. Jon said he doesn't think so. He said he thinks that they're all happy for JD and the attention he gets. He said that Howard's relationship with JD is something special. He said that Benjy gets attention on the show too. He said he doesn't think that he's targeted.
Lisa said that she thinks that everyone should tune in on January 5th to hear Howard talk about the interesting conversation he had with Benjy at the Holiday party. She said that's all she's going to say about that.
Steve said that he thinks that JD is very likeable and no one there is really jealous of him. Lisa said they all want the best for him. Steve said he doesn't think anyone there roots against JD. Jon said he thinks everyone roots for him. He said JD had a very big year. He said he has a gal now and he's maturing in a lot of ways. He said his fame bubble continues to grow too.
Jon said he thinks it's time to wrap up the final Wrap Up Show of the year. He asked Lisa G for her Howard 100 News update. Lisa ran down a few headlines they had for today. Jon got in a plug for Leiberman Live and Sternthology too. Jon gave some plugs and ended the show around 10:35am.
