Howard's Superman Trivia Challenge. 6/1/00. 9:20am
Gary had some Superman comic trivia for Howard this morning. The game was set up like ''Who Wants to be a Millionaire'' so Howard wanted to actually play for a prize. He asked Robin if she'd be willing to show some skin but she wasn't into it. Anne Marie also refused to be the ''prize'' in the game. She was asked to get in a bathing suit top if Howard were to win but she said she just couldn't do it. Then Howard heard that Robin Radzinski from E! had let Gary feel her breast the other day. She had a fake breast that she put in her bra and then let Gary feel her up to see if he could feel the difference. Howard wanted the chance at feeling her up too so Radzinski eventually agreed to let that be the prize if Howard got all 15 of the questions correct. Most of the questions were pretty easy for Howard. Here are the questions and the correct answers:
Gary said that the guy who came up with this game has more so they'll be playing them tomorrow. Gary also asked Howard about some other cartoons he and his son were watching the other day. He brought up the ''Legion of Doom'' and the Bizarro Superman.
Director Kevin Smith, who owns a comic book store, was on the phone to help answer the ''Darkseid'' question. Howard broke the news that his cartoon ''Clerks'' did pretty well last night. Gary had given Howard the ratings break down from last night earlier in the show. ''Clerks'' beat out the showing of ''Species'' on CBS but was also beaten by the basketball game that was on against it. The game had a 21 rating while ''Clerks'' had a respectable 7.6. Howard told Kevin that he still wants to see it so Kevin said he'd send him all 6 episodes. KC liked the cartoon but Fred didn't. Kevin it was nice to hear Fred's honesty.

In the clip Howard was talking about how he was able to log into his computer at home from there at work. Howard said he's in his computer now. Robin didn't believe it. Howard told Robin how he was able to do it and how he can check his notes from work. Howard said he has notes at home that he can log into and check. Howard demonstrated on his IBM Thinkpad how he can do all of this. Howard said he can even change the notes. He said that the laptop can change the notes from there. He said he's making the change at home from there.
Howard said he's sitting there in New York and saving the work at home. He said he's on his computer at home as they speak. He said it's like having a huge extension cord going to his home from work.
Robin wanted to see how this works. Howard showed her how he does it. Howard said he's looking at his notes now to see what technology is helping him do. He had notes about what he wants to do on the show. He laughed as he read some of the notes.
Robin told Howard to take that off the screen and bring it back up. Howard did that for her. Howard said he had ''This is a test'' on the screen. He closed that and reconnected to his computer at home. He opened the file again and it was there. Howard said the system works.
Robin asked what else they can do. Howard said whatever he can do at home he can do there. Howard said he took all of the games off his computer. He said he freed up 70 megs of room by taking the games off. Howard said he just made notes about his movie in the computer the other night. Howard said he wrote in there ''I hope Robin takes off her top'' and he's got that in there every day.
Howard's Review Of ''Spider-Man'' The Movie. 5/1/02. 7:40am
Howard and the rest of the crew got their own screening of the new ''Spider-Man'' movie. They all went to see it yesterday so Howard gave his review of the movie. He said there were about 35 people from the company at the screening. Howard said he got there extra early and got a great seat on a leather couch at this Sony screening theater. He talked about how John was staring at him and his girlfriend during the movie. John said he was looking at Beth because she's better looking than Kirsten Dunst is in ''Spider-Man.'' Howard said singer Esthero was also invited to the screening. Howard said he was all set in his couch and the movie was starting when Esthero showed up. He said she sat right next to him and he had to get rid of her. He ended up sending her down to the regular chairs in the screening room.
After talking about what happened before the movie he gave his review. He said that in his opinion it was a ''terrific movie.'' He said it had a good story, great special effects and great costumes. He said Tobey Maguire played his part well and Kirsten Dunst was good in her part. He even liked Willem Defoe as the Green Goblin. Howard said he's going to see it again.
Robin didn't like the movie quite as much as Howard though. She said she felt it was a little slow in certain parts. She did agree that the special effects were pretty good though. She said she'd give it 2.5 stars out of 4 if she had to rate it. Howard said he'd give it 3.5. Most of the guys in the studio agreed with Howard that it was a 3.5.
Howard took a break and when he came back he said he spent the break answering questions about Spider-Man. Howard said he was fielding questions from everyone about the comic book character and answering them all. Gary said it was kind of odd because Howard knows so much about the character. Someone asked him if Spider-Man knows about Superman. Howard said he does reference him in the comic books sometimes in a mocking way.

Howard said he bets that he didn't make much money on that film. He said he heard that George gave everyone a point or two in the movies. Mark said that's what happened. He said that they got like 1/4 of a point on the first one. He said George is an amazingly generous guy.
Mark said that they only got paid when it was in the movie theaters though. He said it was also a non-union movie. He said they got nothing from the later releases of the movies. Mark said the IRS thought that he was making money off of the video releases.

He said he's also one of 7 kids. Howard asked if he needs money. Mark said he's alright but he needs money to see the pay-per-view that Howard is doing.
Howard asked Mark about his kids. He found out he has 3. Mark said the kids came with him to New York. He said he had to bring them with him to the show. Mark said he lets the kids vote on where they want to go for Christmas so that's why they came with him. Mark said he wants a good relationship with his kids so he lets them watch Beavis and Butt-Head and things like that. He said they think they're morons.
Mark said he's a comic book guy so he has to go out to Brooklyn to visit his comic book guy. Howard asked if he read his book. Mark said he did. He said it's unbelievable what Howard is able to do. Howard said Mark has it all. He has a bunch of stuff there to get signed.
Mark said that he loved Howard's WOR show and he thought it was amazing when he dangled food in front of the overweight people who were trying to lose weight. Howard said that was reality and they wanted to edit some of that stuff out of the show but he wouldn't let them.
Howard said Mark is the voice of The Joker on the animated Batman series. Howard said he is a fan of the show. Howard said it's a very adult cartoon. Mark said that they are doing a great job with the show. Howard asked him to do some of his voice. Mark did a little bit of it for Howard. He said he writes with a writing partner and he knows he's not an A-list actor. Howard said he shouldn't put himself down.
Mark said that he was watching The Larry Sanders show and Garry Shandling made a joke about Star Wars and how Mark Hamill is upset because that's the last time he had steady work. Mark said he got a big laugh. He said that his friends told him that they use a laugh track on the show and he thought it was real laughter. Howard said that they're all jealous, that's all.
Howard asked Mark if he'll talk about how much he hates Harrison Ford. Mark laughed. Howard said he must have something there.
After an edited out break Howard came back and talked about what Mark is up to. He said he's in a play now. He's also the voice of The Joker on the Batman animated series. Mark told Howard that he goes for good parts wherever they are. He said he likes doing theater even though he can't sing that well. He said he doesn't have a publicist and Garry Shandling nuked the past 10 years of his career. Howard said he shouldn't worry about it. Howard said that Mark was complaining about Shandling and what he did. He said he told him to just put it behind him and move on with his life.
Howard said Mark has his wife with him there. Mark said she was his dental hygienist. He said that he met her before Star Wars came out. Mark said he went to have his teeth cleaned before the movie came out. He said he had shot it but it wasn't out yet. Mark said that he asked if she wanted to go see the screening of the movie and she thought it was going to be like Star Trek. mark said she's a mom now and not cleaning teeth anymore.
Howard had Gary bring in Mark's wife Marilou. Howard said he bets they still have an active sex life. Mark said that the kids want to meet Howard too. Howard had them come in too. Marilou said she loves Howard and she used to listen before the kids could understand what he was talking about.
Howard met the kids and asked if he's cooler than their father. Mark's son Nathan said that Howard was cooler. Mark thanked him for that because that guarantees he'll be booked on the show again.
Howard asked the kids how Harrison Ford is. Robin asked if they even keep in touch. Mark said they don't. He said that they all have kids that have never met. Mark said Harrison was great to him and he has nothing bad to say about him. Howard asked if Carrie Fisher was a spoiled brat. Mark didn't say anything. He said that she was raised out there in Hollywood so you figure it out. He said Carrie seems like the normal one out there though.
Howard asked Mark and Marilou about how they got together and all of that. Howard said Carrie could have ended up being their mother. Mark said that he and Carrie wouldn't have because working together would have been too weird if they had been a couple.
Howard asked the kids if their friends think their mom is hot. They weren't saying anything. Howard said that their mother is really hot. Howard said he was glad that his mother wasn't hot. He said he had friends who had hot mothers though.
Howard said he had to ask the kids to leave so he can ask Mark more sexual questions. Howard asked Mark about having the accident after shooting Star Wars and before Empire Strikes Back. Mark said that he had a car accident and broke his nose. That's all that happened. Mark said that a friend told Gary that he didn't want to talk about that but that's not true. He said he doesn't want that to define who he is. He said it was like 15 years ago. He said it was after Star Wars and they needed something to talk about.
Gary said he never told Howard and Robin because they'd go right for it. Howard said he just heard he had a car accident.
Howard said that he enjoyed having him there. Robin asked if Harrison Ford has a big penis. Mark said he never saw it. Howard asked if the guy who played Chewbaca had a big one. Mark said that they actually asked him to wear some kind of leiderhosen in the movie. they didn't want him naked. Howard said that's wild. Howard wrapped up with Mark a short time later.
Mark Hamill Calls In. 4/3/01. 9:00am

Howard explained how Rod was sent to jail in last season's episode and now he wants revenge on Notch Johnson. Howard told Mark that he's brilliant in this episode and perhaps when Hollywood sees him in it they'll put him in some major movies. Mark said that he doesn't even need to work. He made, and still makes, so much money from the ''Star Wars'' thing that he doesn't have to work ever again. He does it for the fun. He wouldn't get into specifics when Howard asked him about what he made off of the merchandising and stuff. He just kept repeating that he doesn't have to work. He's been doing cartoon voice-overs and he enjoys that. He said that he's done 200 cartoons now. Mark also said that he made a lot of good investments in real estate that paid off.
Howard heard that Mark does an amazing Harrison Ford impression so he asked him to do it. Mark said that he's not allowed to do it anymore because Harrison asked him not to. Howard kept asking him to do it but he kept refusing. Then Mark accused Howard of stealing a Garry Shandling joke which he used on his last David Letterman appearance. Howard had no idea what he was talking about. Howard then brought up the car accident mark was in back in the late 70's. Mark didn't want to talk about that either so Howard played a few clips from ''Son of the Beach''. ''Sam Kinison'' told Mark ''Quit hogging the bottle and pass it over!'' because he kind of sounded like he was out of it. A few phone callers agreed. They said he sounded like he was high on something. One caller even said he sounded gay. Another guy said he sounded like John Malkovich. It was all very weird. One guy begged Mark to do his Harrison Ford impression but Mark said he'd only do it in the studio if he ever comes in again. He said it's really not that good and it's very subtle. As they were wrapping it up ''Sam'' asked Mark ''Was Han Solo a leather freak?'' Mark didn't hear the question so they dropped it.

Adam said it became a classic and he was very lucky. Howard said he's scaring him now. He said he has to go. Howard said that he loved the Bat dance. Adam said that was the Batusi. Howard said he loved it. Howard let Adam go a short time later.
In the clip Howard was reading an article about how he might play Scarecrow in the Batman movie. Howard said that he was never approached to play that part in the movie. Howard said that the Batman movie looks awful and he wouldn't do that part even if they begged him to. He said that you don't want a movie like that to be like a comic book. He said you want it to be real. Howard said he doesn't need their lame ass movie. Howard said they always have to try and embarrass him.
Howard read about how they weren't considering him for the movie. He said that Joel Schumacher chuckled when asked about this. Howard read what he was saying too. Howard said that Joel can call him and kiss his ass in Macy's window and he won't do a Batman movie with him. Howard said he read comics and Scarecrow was mentally disturbed. He said they wouldn't even put that in a movie. Howard said he isn't going to ruin his career by doing that crap. He said that he isn't going to run around in tights looking stupid. Howard's List Of Worst Super Heroes Of All Time. 07/31/08. 6:30am
Howard took a call from Wolfe who asked him for his top 5 worst super heroes of all time. Howard said that number 1 would be Thor. Howard described that character and why he wasn't all that great. Howard said that no one can relate to that character. Howard said that comic book geeks don't want to read about history or anything. Howard said that there were many war comics years ago and they were all terrible. Sgt. Rock and those guys were just horrible. He said that they weren't super heroes.
Howard said that the third worst of all time, not in any particular order, would be this character from Mars that he had seen. He said that they know that no one lives on Mars. Howard said that Dr. Strange is another one that was lame. He said that there will not be any Dr. Strange movie being made. Howard said that Ant Man and Aquaman weren't all that great either. Robin said that Atom was bad too.
Howard asked Artie how many hours he slept last night because he looked like he was about to pass out. Artie said that he was awake. Howard said he wasn't and he looked like he needed to lay down. Artie said that he needed to get some sugar in him to get through this super hero conversation.
Howard told Artie that Pam Anderson is coming in so he should nap now so he can be prepared for that. Artie said he thought that she was calling in. He said he can't nap now anyway because he's got too much sugar in him.
Wolfe said he had Thor, Dr. Strange, She Hulk, Plastic Man and Aquaman on his list. Howard said there are way worse than Aquaman. Fred threw in Elongated Man and Green Arrow. Howard said that Green Arrow was bad. He said that Green Lantern was pretty good and got better over the past few years.
Artie said he thinks that Norm MacDonald had a bit about Mr. Fantastic in his stand-up act. Howard said that he knows what that was about and explained the Fantastic Four and how lame the Mr. Fantastic was because he called himself Mr. Fantastic because he had this huge ego. He said that it had nothing to do with his super powers like the rest of the four did. Howard went to break a short time later.
Various Stuff. 1/30/02. 6:05am
A caller asked Howard if Superman gets his power from our yellow sun, will he lose his powers if he flies too far away from it. Howard told the guy that Superman can get his power from any yellow sun so he won't lose them if he flies away from ours. Howard then went into a whole discussion about Superman, his powers and how he can lose them. Artie and other callers ended up asking Howard questions about Superman too. He's almost an expert on the subject because he's read so many of the comic books over the years.
Director Jon Favreau Comes In. 04/13/04. 8:40am
Howard and Jon were talking about High School things when Gary told Howard that Jon used to be into Dungeons and Dragons. Howard wanted to know more about that because he never played anything like that. Artie laughed as he heard Jon describing the game. Artie was busy playing baseball when he was in high school so he found it amusing that Jon was throwing dice to come up with stuff for the characters. Howard wanted to know the names of some of his characters. Artie said one of them was ''Gaywad.'' Jon said he really doesn't remember the names they came up with. Jon told Howard more about the game and Artie wondered if they ever finished a game before getting beat up in the cafeteria. Artie goofed on him a little bit as he was telling them about the game. Jon was giving them the idea behind the game and Artie was pretending to be at school with them yelling out ''Give me your lunch money Favreau!'' and stuff like that.
Howard told Jon he was insane after hearing the game. He called Jon ''Fagreau'' as he was getting ready to wrap up the interview. Jon then reminded Howard that Letterman did something on his show last night that was nice. Letterman had CBS' Les Moonves on the phone and he asked him about what Howard is going through. Letterman asked him to defend Howard but Moonves said he has nothing to do with radio. He was willing to defend Letterman to the death but he would only say a couple of words about Howard. Howard thanked Letterman for bringing that up on his show because more people have to know about what's going on. He wrapped up the interview with Jon shortly after that.
Howard Learns About Dungeons and Dragons And The Lord Of The Rings. 12/15/03. 8:45am
Howard had some strange noises coming through the microphones in the studio. Scott the Engineer came in and tried to find the source of the noise. Howard played some Vinnie Favale love tape clips and then spent some time talking about the movie ''Stuck on You'' and how it didn't do so well over the weekend. Howard said that Scott DePace told him he didn't like the movie.
Howard said he heard that the new ''Lord of the Rings'' movie is the best movie ever made from the review he read. He hasn't even seen the second one yet and he doesn't get the whole thing. Robin said she loved the movies and anyone who read the book will love them. Howard asked Gary what he knows about the movie. Gary described the whole thing to Howard as best as he could. He wasn't even sure what all of the details were though. Howard said that he just doesn't get it at all.
Luis the board operator was upset with Gary's description of the movie and came in to tell Howard the right stuff. Howard wondered if he's one of those guys who play Dungeons and Dragons. Luis said that he did play that when he was younger. Howard goofed on him a little bit about playing a game like that. He said he knows he's a geek but he's never played a game where he pretends to be someone, or something, like the characters in the game. Howard got a little sidetracked and told Luis that he needs to shave the facial hair he has. He said that his upper lip looks like J-Lo's upper lip.
Howard asked Luis about the Dungeons and Dragons thing some more and wondered if the guys all got naked when they played. Luis said you're put in different situations and someone, the dungeon master, tells the story. Howard wanted to know all of the details of how they played because he figured they got dressed up in costumes and stuff. Luis told him they never got into that but some people may have done that. Luis told him that the game is based on rolling dice.
A listener called in and said that you have one guy who narrates the whole story in the game. Howard said that it sounds like an awful lot of work for that guy. Howard got back to the Lord of the Rings thing. Luis tried to explain that to Howard but Howard bailed out on it after about 10 seconds and said he didn't want to hear it. He did ask some questions about what Liv Tyler is doing in the movie and said that her long speech in the first movie was really boring.
Howard and Artie were goofing on the whole Dungeons and Dragons thing and how lame it seems to them. Captain Janks called in and interrupted them saying that he can 3-way them into a prank call he was going to do live. Howard said he wasn't sure he wanted to be part of that though. A short time later Janks was on hold with a news program. Howard knew who it was but didn't say anything because he didn't want to spoil it. Nothing happened so Howard had to bail out on the call. Janks said he was supposed to get on right away but he was still on hold a couple of minutes after getting Howard on with him. Howard had to take a break after that.
Real And Super Heroes. 11/17/10. 6:10am
Howard mentioned that the President gave out the medal of honor to a guy recently. He talked about that for a minute. Howard said this guy rescued a couple of guys and even dragged one guy back that the Taliban were dragging away. Howard said the guy got hit 4 times in the body armor and he kept going. Howard said he got off lucky that he didn't get wounded. He's still in the military and he's stationed over in Germany.
Howard said he believed in his heart that if there was a green lantern he could be it. Howard said he saw the trailer for the movie and it really does look great. Howard explained how the Green Lantern gets his ring and all of that. Howard said he gets it from some alien and he's told that the ring can do whatever your mind tells it to. Howard wasn't clear about exactly how it works but he thought it had to be re-powered by a green lantern.
Howard told Robin about how there are other Green Lanterns around the universe and you end up getting chosen by a committee. He was telling Robin all of this and she said ''I see...'' and didn't sound all that interested. Robin asked if he's invincible. Howard said he knows that the color yellow fucks him up. He said the ring will protect him. He's able to fly through space with the ring. Robin asked if you can sneak up on him and shoot him. Howard said you can do that. He said that Green Lanterns die all the time.
Jason came in and told Howard about some of the stuff in the comic books. He's been reading about that stuff for a while. Howard and Jason were filling Robin in on the details of how the Green Lantern gets the ring and why the other alien guy dies. Robin asked if he wears that ring all the time. Howard said he does but he has to recharge it at times. Howard said he remembers him charging it in the woods. Howard asked Jason if that's where he does it. Jason said he didn't read any one with the woods. He keeps it in his locker in the stuff he's reading now.
Howard said he'd just stay Green Lantern all the time if he had that ring. He said he spends a lot of time on other planets too. Jason said that they protect the universe so they're all over the place. Howard said that he's very powerful. He said he'd rather be Superman. He said he'd rather have his powers organic like him. Howard said he wouldn't mind having the ring though.
Howard said when he said he thought he could be the Green Lantern because of his honesty he thinks he'd be right for the job. Howard said he did shoplift once when he was a kid but that was peer pressure. Howard said he could be talked into doing that when he was a kid.
Howard said he realized that he's actually a coward. He said they were talking about that yesterday and he now realizes that he's not that brave. He said he's so cowardly that he wouldn't even stop someone from stealing a bike. Howard said Robin pointed it out once and they just ignored it and drove away. Howard said he didn't want to die over a stolen bike.
Howard said no one is choosing him to be Green Lantern. Robin said she's amazed that he's into these comic book heroes and he never does anything heroic.
Howard said Bianca fell in the pool once and he didn't just dive in to save her. He said Beth had to do it. He said Beth is more Green Lantern than he is.
Robin said that Howard did do something for an old lady who fell down in front of them. Robin said he got upset when she needed something after that. Howard said he saw this old woman fall down and he remembers saying ''Ugh'' to Robin. He said he felt bad for her and he asked if she needed a ride. Then she wanted to go to a bunch of places and he thought about what a pain in the ass she was.
Howard said he pulled Gary Busey off of Robin once. He said that was kind of heroic. Gary came in and brought up the bicycle story again. He didn't hear them talking about it 2 minutes ago.
Howard said he did take Gary Busey off of Robin. Gary said that wasn't that big of a deal. Robin said no one touched Shaquille O'Neil when he picked her up. Howard said he almost threw her through the ceiling that day. Gary said Shaq bench pressed Robin that day. Howard said he stayed on the air on 9/11. He said KC ran home. Howard said he thought they were under attack that day. Robin said there was no danger that day. Howard said KC was a pussy for running away.
He said he thinks that he could be Green Lantern from that. Robin said Howard left his daughter in danger once. Howard said they were at a picnic at Roosevelt Island and he dove in his car and locked the doors. He said Robin, his wife, Fred and Emily were all outside of the car. He said he didn't let anyone in. It was just a fan looking for an autograph that day. Howard said he can't be Green Lantern.
Gary said his father once chased a robber down the street. Robin said her father ran into a burning building. Howard said he could be Green Lantern too. Howard said the Green Lantern is black in the comic books these days. Howard said he may be better suited to be Wonder Woman.
Gary said he was watching the medal of honor thing and he thought the guy was traumatized over the whole thing. Gary said the guy isn't just emotional, he's traumatized. Gary said the guy doesn't even want the medal. Howard said that's a real hero. The guy says that he's not a hero and not even a great soldier.
Robin said that Audi Murphy was a decorated guy and he had all kinds of problems. Howard said he gets it now that he's seen this kid. Gary said they have a special with James Galdolfini coming out where they talk about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and they talk about how a lot of people suffer from it years and years after war. They say that they should talk about it but not talking about it is like a sign of bravery.
Various Stuff. 5/6/02. 6:05am
Howard said he knew ''Spider-Man'' would be big this past weekend but he didn't know it would make $114 million. Artie said he laughed at Howard when he predicted it would make $100 million last week. Howard said that Stan Lee is the one who deserves all the credit for this whole ''Spider-Man'' thing since he designed the character. Howard spent a few minutes talking about how the Batman franchise was screwed up after the great one starring Michael Keaton. Howard said he thinks that Superman could be brought back if they had a decent director. Gary told Howard he should direct one because he'd treat it like Sam Raimi treated ''Spider-Man.'' Howard said he will start his directing career in 3 years when his radio contract is up.
Howard mentioned that the Tobey Maguire interview will air on E! tonight. Howard also mentioned that all last week they had all Ozzy Osbourne shows which people apparently liked. Robin brought up the MTV contract that Ozzy is supposed to have for the next couple of seasons. Howard thought that Ozzy was going to get $20 million a year for five years but Robin told him it's actually $10 million a year for 2 years. Howard said that's not all that much money. He went on to talk about Ozzy and ''The Osbournes'' for a little while before getting back to ''Spider-Man'' and Superman. Howard blamed all of the bad Superman movies for Christopher Reeve's horse-riding accident. He said if Reeve had more good Superman movies to work on, he wouldn't have had time to ride horses. Howard also played tape of Christopher Reeve mentioning Howard's name in some speech he made recently. Reeve was talking about how he had to laugh after his accident and Howard made him laugh even while he was talking about him.
Spider-Man Creator Stan Lee Calls In. 5/14/02. 8:50am
Stan Lee, the guy who created the comic book character Spider-Man, called in to talk to Howard this morning. Howard was talking about Stan recently and how he doesn't make any money off the character because he was working for Marvel Comics when he created the character. He had some questions for Stan so that's why he had him on the phone today.
Howard told Stan that Tobey Maguire is supposedly dating Nicole Kidman but it should be Stan who's dating her. Howard went on to ask Stan about how well he was taken care of with the Spider-Man stuff. He said he's been taken care of to a certain extent. Stan corrected Howard and said he wrote the Spider-Man stuff but he wasn't the ''creator'' of the character, he was the co-creator.
Stan told Howard that he still gets a salary from Marvel and he's got the title of Chairman Ameritus which Howard defined as meaning he gets to sit around at Marvel just hanging out and not working.
Howard found out that Stan also created the characters Daredevil and the Incredible Hulk. Howard threw a couple of ideas at Stan like Salt Shaker boy and Tampon man to see if he could work with any of that stuff. Stan said you can work with just about anything. Howard asked him if he could work with ''Radioactive Jew.'' Even that could work in the right part of the world. Howard then suggested ''The Incredible Shrinking Gynecologist'' and Stan told him he's in the wrong line of work. He's got some interesting ideas.
Howard continued to talk to Stan about how he's not getting huge money from this ''Spider-Man'' movie stuff. He told Stan he feels bad for him but Stan doesn't seem to mind it all that much. He said that he is well paid and he seems to be enjoying everything that's happening. Stan kept breaking bad news to Howard and he was getting more and more upset about what Stan is making. It turns out Stan doesn't own any of the rights to any of his characters. Howard let out a big ''Ohhhh'' when he heard that. Stan told Howard that he does get his name in the credits because he actually appears in the movie. Howard told Stan that the director of the movie is going to make more money from this story than he is and Stan was the one who came up with the story. Stan just let that stuff roll off his back and told Howard he's got a bunch of other stuff in the works and it's all good. Howard said Stan's laughing on the outside but crying on the inside. Stan had a couple of things to plug so Howard gave them out. He's got a DVD out called ''Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters & Marvels'' and a book coming out next month called ''Excelsior! The Amazing Life of Stan Lee.''

Star Trek Trivia With Randy Goldstein. 2/26/98. 8:55am
When this guy came in he was carrying a bunch of Star Trek toys, wearing a Star Trek uniform shirt and he just wouldn't listen to Howard. He had his own agenda and he wouldn't shut up. Howard called him ''scarier than Old Dirty Bastard''. His nuttiness was explained when he said he was friends with Benjy the intern who's a bit of a strange guy himself. He claims to be an expert on the old Star Trek series. After a few questions that he couldn't answer he did come through with some answers to some very odd questions. Questions came from callers. The whole time he was there he was playing with his Star Trek toys. Some of them made noise and he didn't hesitate to demonstrate. Howard let the guy spend quite a while in the studio but eventually had to kick him out because he was so damn annoying. He wasn't getting the hint that he should leave so Howard had to just come right out and say it.
Randy The Star Trek Expert Stops In. 08/18/04. 9:20am
Howard took a call from a guy who said that Kristin in the Intern Beauty Pageant was very attractive. He saw her on the E! show last night and thought she was gorgeous. Howard ended up hanging up on the guy when he used the S-word in a joke he told. Another caller told Howard about a TV special he saw about Jenna Jameson where she talked about how great Howard was. Howard knows about all of that because she talked about that on the show yesterday.
Benjy's friend Randy the Star Trek expert came in to hang out with the guys today. Howard spent a couple of minutes talking to him about his Star Trek stuff. He's kind of spaced out like Benjy is because he wasn't paying attention to him when he told him to get close to the microphone. Randy said he has managed to get laid a couple of times since the last time he was on the show. Howard heard that he met a retarded girl on a party line and hooked up with her. He didn't know she was retarded when he spoke to her. Randy said that she's not really retarded, she just had learning disabilities. She's not very attractive and he hasn't really ''done her'' but she did things to him. He was telling the story like Benjy would tell it because he wasn't giving a very good explanation.
Captain Janks called in said that he could stump this guy. He asked him what spin off was going to be created from the Star Trek show shortly before Star Trek was canceled. He knew that it was a show that Teri Garr was going to star in. Janks had a couple of other questions he tried to stump him with but Randy knew the answers. Janks was proud when he stumped him on one question about an actor who played a certain part in a few episodes. Randy didn't seem to care.
Howard had to move on to the news but Randy had a few other things he wanted to talk about. He was talking about the Kobe Bryant case and the fact that Benjy moved to a new apartment but no one seemed to care. Howard was just as annoyed by Randy as he is by Benjy when he starts to tell stories. Benjy told Howard that Randy is interesting when he talks about interracial relationships. Howard let Randy come back and asked him about that. Randy gave his opinion on that but Howard got rid of him about 30 seconds into his ramblings. Benjy said that he and Randy were in the same fraternity at Penn State. Howard figured it was just the two of them in the frat. He had Robin start her news right after that.
Hector Meets George Takei. 01/13/06. 8:45am
After the break Howard said that he ate a little breakfast and went pee. He and Fred are in sync now with the commercial breaks so things are starting to go much more smoothly.
Howard told George Takei that he's really enjoyed having him there this week. George said that he's had an interesting time there but he's lost his trust in humanity after being duped so many times this week. Artie was his last shred of truth there because he was the only one being truthful with him. Howard said that having an announcer there is just one of the changes to the show that he's going to have.
Howard had a bunch of audio clips to play from his channels but he wasn't sure where to start. He had a Jessica Hahn clip from Bubba's show, some news clips and a guy who wanted to meet George. George said ''Oh my'' when he heard they had a guy there. Howard had Gary bring the guy in.
Hector came in and Howard said that he figures the guy might cream in his pants after meeting George. He was kind of subdued when he came in though. Howard thought he'd be more excited than he was. Hector told Howard that he's been a fan of Mr. Sulu's for many years because he control's the ship (on Star Trek). George told Hector that there's a big convention coming up in Las Vegas soon so maybe he should visit that. Hector has never been there so Artie added ''Hector has never been there because he's never been out of the room.''
Hector actually works at SIRIUS in their IT department. Howard asked him to ask George the toughest question he could. He asked him what Sulu's daughter's name was. It was Demora but it took George a short time to remember it. He was able to answer it though. George then asked Hector in which novel Demora appeared. George said it was ''Captain's Daughter.''
Gary came in and asked Hector if it was true that he had a Star Trek tattoo on his body. Hector said he does have one tattoo... and it's a Klingon tattoo. Howard checked it out and said it was actually kind of cool. He figures it's cool until you tell a chick that it's a Klingon tattoo. Howard told Hector that he's the bad boy of Trekkies because most of them aren't allowed to get tattoos.
Gary asked Hector if he can speak Klingon. Hector is able to say some stuff but not speak it fluently. He mentioned that his wife bought him a book about Klingon. The guys were surprised that he had a wife being a Trekkie.
Howard took a call from this guy Randy who has been on the show in the past. He's one of Benjy's friends who is a huge Star Trek fan. He asked George a long, drawn out question that wasn't Star Trek trivia. George had taken some time off during the shooting of Star Trek and had to miss out on some of the second season. Howard said that Randy is just like Benjy with the way he answers questions and refuses to give a straight answer. He hung up on him. He also let Hector go after that.
Howard's ''Thor'' Review And More Osama Discussions. 05/02/11. 6:45am
Howard said he saw Thor on Thursday night and he loved it. Howard said he was a casual reader of the comic book but he didn't read it all the time. The movie was terrific. Howard said he wanted the caller to say what he wanted to say before getting to more of that. The caller, CWB, said that he is very happy that Osama is dead. Howard spent a minute with that before letting the guy go.
Howard got back to the Navy SEALs thing and talked about how great it is that people volunteer for those jobs. He said that they handled the whole thing beautifully. Howard said Osama was a coward and he would send people out to die. He said the guy hides behind women. Howard said if they had captured the guy it would have been an endless circus with him. Howard said he bets that he had his hands up like a coward as they blew him away. He said he imagines him begging for mercy and one of our guys just blowing his head off.
Howard said that he was a rat fuck and he's glad he's dead. Howard said none of the Navy SEALs will come forward and say they did this. He said they're the real heroes.
Howard said he saw Thor in 3D and he loved it. He said he's not a big fan of 3D but he liked the way they did it. He said it's fun. Robin said that Kenneth Branagh directed it. She said she was afraid it wasn't going to be good but it's getting good reviews. Howard said the movie was good and they had some great actors in it. He said that they had Anthony Hopkins in the movie as the father. Robin, Fred an Howard all had trouble coming up with his name when it came up.
Howard said the weakest part of the movie was Natalie Portman. He said she's very tiny next to him and they needed a bigger woman next to the guy. He said he found it hard to believe that he was falling for Natalie Portman. He said he should have had Chynna Doll or someone taller like that. Howard said she did a fine job in the movie but physically she didn't look right for the part.
Howard said the movie was very good and they had him using that hammer and it was very good how he revealed himself as a god and all of that. He said the movie is one he'd recommend.
Howard said he heard that Jason and Ralph saw the movie too and they loved it. He said his wife loved it too. She usually falls asleep during movies like that but she liked it. Robin was glad to hear that because she was afraid it wasn't going to work.
Howard said he read that Superman has renounced his U.S. Citizenship in the comic books. Howard said they're accusing him of politicizing his stuff so he's no longer a citizen. Howard said his wife is from America so he's going to have to pick a side. Howard said he will always love Superman though. Howard said he had to take a break after that.
Steve Brandano's Comic-Con Report. 07/26/10. 6:55am
The caller asked if Steve Brandano got anything good from Comic-Con. Gary said that they sent him out there and he had some Steve-O clips. He said Steve didn't go out there for them but he did bring back some tape. He got to sit down with Natalie Portman too. Howard said she's hot. Gary said she really is. Howard asked what she had to say.
Steve came in and said that he was very shaky around her. Howard said that she must be about his age. Steve said she's like a year older. He said she's gorgeous in real life too. He said he had a difficult time talking to her. Howard asked how her titties were. He said she was covered up. He said she had shorts on but she was pretty covered up.
Howard got a note saying that Steve had twittered that he made her laugh. Steve said he listened back to the tape and realized that he didn't actually make her laugh. That was all in his head. Steve said he sat down with the guy who will be playing Thor in the movie that's coming out. He said he asked him some questions about the character and if he could beat Captain America but he didn't really answer.
Howard said that he watched this movie ''Super Hero'' on TV and thought it was actually pretty good. He explained what that was about and how he was laughing at it.
Steve said that he was asking Natalie Portman about the guys who hit on her and things like that. She said that someone proposed to her so he told her that he had one less question then. Steve said that she's gorgeous and maybe the best looking person he's ever seen in his life. Howard said that he has the feeling that she's not good in bed. Steve said he wouldn't care. Howard said he bets that Retarded people are the best in bed. He said he's read that they go berserk in bed.
Howard asked what Natalie has been in other than Star Wars. Steve said he asked if she stole anything from the movies when she did that. She said she couldn't answer that one. They talked about her being in V for Vendetta. Howard didn't remember that one. Steve wanted to thank some people who helped him get set up out there. Howard told him to get out. He said he doesn't have to thank them. Steve said he really does feel he has to because they were treating him so well.
Howard said that Steve just interviewed some people. Steve said he got to hang out with Stacy Keibler. He said it was like 2 in the morning so he didn't know what to ask her. He said he used Howard's name to get her number.
Gary said that Steve found another Darth Maul to interview. He had the audio to play of that interview. Howard played the clip and the guy in the Darth Maul outfit was wearing a mask that made it very hard to understand him. Steve said that guy didn't talk much. He said that most of the guys would just walk away from him when they caught on to what he was doing.
Howard asked who sent Steve out to Comic-Con. Gary said that Steve wanted to go for Geektime so they asked him to get some stuff for them too.
Howard played the audio of Steve's interviews with a Freddy Kruger and the Darth Maul guy. They didn't have a lot to say and they were muffled through their masks.
Steve said the girls out there were hot too. He said even the geek girls are hot. Howard thanked him for doing the interviews. He told Steve he shouldn't have let Darth Maul get away without an extensive interview. He said that guy was great with the muffled mask. He said he had to take a break after that.
Comic Book Discussions. 05/11/11. 6:00am
Howard started the show talking about how full the show was going to be today. He said he wasn't sure if he's awake enough to execute it. He said Dennis Rodman will be coming in. He's going into the hall of fame and he'll be stopping by to talk about that. Howard said Dennis has said he didn't work hard enough to be in the hall of fame. Howard said he's a very emotional and complicated man.
Howard said he has a lot of stuff to talk about and play for the audience today. Robin asked Howard about comic books and who else can pick up Thor's hammer. Howard said he knows Thor's dad can do it. Howard said he really doesn't know other than that. He said he read some of the comic books but not all of them.
Robin said he would know if he read other comic books. Howard said that's a good clue. He asked if Captain American can. He wondered why he'd be able to. Howard said he thinks that Chuck Zito might be able to. Howard wondered if Superman could do it. Robin said he's DC comics so that's not it. Robin said the information she has is in her phone. She said it's actually The Hulk who has picked it up. Howard asked how that's possible. Robin said she had all of this information in her phone so she had to check that.
Robin said Captain America has picked it up too. Howard said he did mention him. Robin said Captain America can walk with it. Superman has carried it and flown with it. Robin said The Hulk picked it up and flung it once at Thor in a battle. Howard said he thought it had to do with being pure, not strength. Howard said that's weird.
Howard said it's almost like sometimes Hulk can have Bruce Banner come through but in others he seems to be dumb. Howard said he'll have to accept Robin's answer.
Howard said that's the way to start the morning. He had to clear his throat. Robin said she's all into Thor now. Howard said he liked the 3D. Robin said it wasn't 3D the whole time. Howard said he tried watching it in regular 2D and it was all blurry.
Today's Geek Week special was over around 10:35am.

Beat The Geeks With Mark Cronin. 7/1/02. 8:30am
An old friend of the show, Mark Cronin, came in to play this game ''Beat the Geeks'' with Howard and the crew. Mark used to write for Howard's WOR show back in the late 80's. He got married, moved to L.A. and got divorced. Howard shared some of the stories about Mark's life and then moved on to talk about how his production company is the one doing the ''Beat the Geeks'' TV show and a bunch of others.
Howard explained the game and told us who the Geeks were. Stuttering John was the Star Wars Geek, Gary was the Rock and Roll Geek, Artie was the Sports Geek and Howard was the Superman Geek. Vinnie Favale from CBS was the host of the game so he asked all of the questions. He'd ask each of the two contestants a question, then one of the geeks a harder question. The contestants, Billy and Steve, were playing for $10,000 courtesy of RisqueVideo.com. Vinnie did his thing and the Geeks didn't do all that well against the contestants. Howard did the best out of all of the geeks. He knew more about Superman than anyone should know. The two contestants were pretty close at the end. Billy ended up winning though.
After they were done Howard had them ask him a bunch more Superman trivia questions. He knew most of them but missed a couple. He also goofed on Artie and John for not knowing much about the questions they got. They really blew it.

Tobey Maguire Calls In. 07/02/04. 6:20am
Tobey Maguire called in to talk about ''Spider-Man 2'' since it just opened. His phone connection was horrible so Howard had to have him call back. The line sounded like it had a jackhammer on it. Fred demonstrated what it was like by playing a jackhammer sound effect in the background. He goofed on that for a few seconds and got Tobey back on the line a minute later.
Howard said that he never wants his station to fix that line. Howard talked to Tobey about how he got signed to the sequels for ''Spider-Man'' and then had some problems with his back. He said he's had this problem for 3 or 4 years and when he came out of ''Seabiscuit'' he was in bad shape. He was afraid something was going to happen shooting the sequel to ''Spider-Man.'' Howard heard about his back problems and told him about this Dr. Sarno (''The Mindbody Prescription : Healing the Body, Healing the Pain,'' ''Healing Back Pain : The Mind-Body Connection'') who helped him out with his back problems. Howard said he had a horrible back problem and he didn't need surgery like so many people get. Tobey said he's had no problems for about a year and a half now but if he does, he'll contact Dr. Sarno.
Howard talked to Tobey about the sequel and how he went back in and renegotiated his contract after the first one did so well. Howard and Robin talked to him about Kirsten Dunst and how Tobey may have had a crush on her when they shot the first movie. Tobey didn't want to talk about whether or not that was true. Howard went on to talk about how there are a lot of romances on the sets of movies because it's such a romantic place. He said it's like a whole new universe on the set of a movie.
Tobey said he's heard about people who have to work with people they've had relationships with in the past. He said that he wouldn't know himself if that was true but he's heard stories. Robin heard that Kirsten hates Tobey and they still have to do love scenes together. Tobey said the two of them get along just fine. Howard suggested that they have her killed off in the next movie so Peter Parker can meet some other (hotter) chicks.
Howard wondered if Tobey ever read the Spider-Man comic books when he was younger. Howard said he was really into the comic books and he likes to see those movies done well. Howard told Tobey not to get crazy and eventually say that he can't do Spider-Man movies in the future. He should do them as long as he possibly can. He said they played a tape during the news yesterday where Kirsten Dunst talked about how she wasn't sure they'd be able to 'squeeze'' more Spider-Man movies out after the third one. Howard said they could do 50 of those because there are so many great characters in the comic books.
Gary came in and asked Howard who he thinks would be the lead guest on The Tonight Show if Tobey and Howard did it again together. Howard said he still thinks that he's the bigger guest and he would demand to be on first. Tobey said that he would go on with Howard but he knows that Howard would demand to go first so he'd still do it that way. Howard and Tobey made an appearance on the show years ago and Howard was the big guest that time.
Vinnie Favale from CBS came in and talked about what they would do on Letterman's show if something like that happened. He thinks that it would be a tough call because both sides would be arguing about who would go on first.
Howard cut Vinnie off on that and asked Tobey who he's with at his house out in Los Angeles. Tobey said that he is involved with someone but he wouldn't talk about her. Artie asked him which Hooters waitress he was banging today. Tobey just laughed.
Howard said that ''Spider-Man 2'' set up the next movie and he can't wait for that one. Howard got a note telling him that Tobey is dating Jen Meyer who is the daughter of the head of Universal Studios. Tobey didn't say anything after Howard brought that up. He didn't want to get into that stuff. Howard said that's why he wouldn't be the lead on Leno.
Tobey said that he's had a great time on shows with Howard and people always ask him how tough it must be. It's not tough at all for him and they have fun.
A caller told Howard that he saw Tobey at a party dancing naked to the old Spider-Man theme song. The guy sounded nuts so Howard hung up on him. Another caller asked Tobey if his girlfriend likes a little ''mudd on the helmet.'' Howard had to hang up on that guy as well. He tried to get a legitimate caller. One guy called in and said that Tobey will probably back out of the third movie and won't end up doing it because he'll get so big. Tobey said he's absolutely doing the movie and they're writing the story already.
Howard took another call and the caller said that Howard dissed Tobey when they did the Tonight Show together years ago. The guy said that Howard had his back toward Tobey when he came out and ignored him the whole time. Howard told the guy he was nuts and he didn't ignore him.
Mariann from Brooklyn called in and told Tobey how much she likes him. She said that she would have to go with Howard first over him though. Another caller said that Tobey saved his granddaughter's life in the first Spider-Man movie... She was one of the actors in the movie. Howard asked Tobey about the pictures that end up in the tabloids where he looks fat. Tobey said there was one time when he was hanging with friends and stuck his stomach out as a goof and he didn't know that there were photographers around. He said once he stuck that stomach out, he had a feeling that someone had photographed him.
Howard and Artie talked about the movie ''Seabiscuit'' and how great that movie was. Tobey heard from one guy that his daughter was very confused seeing that movie because Spider-Man was riding a horse.
Howard wrapped up the interview shortly after that and told Tobey to come visit them in New York sometime. Artie told Tobey to marry the chick he's dating but cheat on her like crazy. He told him to ''live like Dean Martin.'' Howard wished him luck with everything and got off the phone. Howard said he really should change his name to Spider-Man. He thinks that would be cooler than Tobey. Howard forgot to ask Tobey how he gets motivated to play the part of Spider-Man.

Director Jon Favreau Calls In. 05/14/08. 8:05am
After the break we heard a prank call Sal, Richard, Wendy the Retard and others made to Riley Martin. Howard came back and said that he had some Riley voice mails to play. He told the guys to remind him to play those.
Howard had Jon Favreau on the phone to talk about Iron Man. He gave him a standing ovation for the job he did on the movie. He said that he did it in a serious manner and he really liked the way it worked out. He said that he thinks that giving Robert Downey Jr. was great. Jon said that at the time he brought him up for the part there was a lot of nervousness about it.
Howard asked what the budget was for the film. Jon said that it was probably about $140 million. Howard figured it was probably more like 190 but Jon said he wouldn't lie to him about that. Howard said that he knew that Speed Racer was going to tank and he was right. He said that no one cares about that old cartoon.
Howard said that he was reading about Jon and how he's married to a doctor and has 3 kids. He figured he was miserable but then he saw a picture of his wife. He said that she's hot. Jon said that he met her out shortly after he did Swingers. He said that he thinks that she gets hit on quite a bit but he didn't want to say anything out of line.
Jon said he thought that Artie had said something about them having a falling out or something. Artie said that he never said that. He said that they do joke around a lot on the show so maybe that's what he's talking about. Artie said that he thanked Jon and Will Ferrall for putting him in ''Elf'' because he still gets some great residuals from doing that.
Howard said that Jon put a lot of pressure on himself by hiring Robert Downey Jr. for that Iron Man movie. Jon said that you need a star when you make big budget movies but not with the super hero movies. He said that they just don't want you to fuck them up.
Howard said that Marvel put up the money for this project and kept control over it. Jon said that they wanted to make the money this time because they usually sell off the rights to that stuff and don't get that big money when the movie is a hit.
Jon said that he went up to Beth and asked if Howard had seen the movie yet and she assured him that he would love it. Howard asked how long it took to make the movie. Jon said it was two years. He said that he doesn't have a deal to make the sequel yet. Howard told him that he should keep making iron man and make the next 5. Jon said that he said he'd like to do the next one but they've been busy with the Hulk movie and stuff like that.
Howard heard that they bought Jon a car. Jon said that's true. He said that the Hulk is coming out in about 4 weeks.
Jon said that everyone in the Iron Man cast wants to do the sequel. He said that they haven't offered him a deal yet. Howard asked Jon what he got for the first one. Jon said that he got $4 million. He said he has a percentage of ''Elf'' and they're claiming that it isn't making a profit yet. He said that the movie only cost $32 million to make and it made $170 million and they say it's not profitable. Howard said that he should ditch his representation if they're not getting him paid for stuff like that.
Howard said that Jon should be getting the same kind of deal that Sam Raimi is getting. Jon said that they have approached him to do the sequel but they haven't made an offer yet. Howard asked him what he would like. Jon said half the profits would be fair. Jon said that the comps are what count to him. He said that this is all a new world to him. He said that 1 percent of the gross would be great. He said that the movie is still going and it's going to make some big money.
Howard talked about some of the cool stuff in the movie and how great the costume looked and stuff like that. Jon said that ILM had just done Transformers the year before and they used a lot of that technology to make the metal suit look very real.
Robin said that they had to know this was going to be a hit and they should be giving Jon another deal to do the second movie. Howard said that he thinks that Jon should be getting a good percentage of the gross and $8 million as a salary.
Howard took a call from a guy who said that he thinks that this Iron Man is the best adaptation of a comic book character. Jon thanked him for that.
Ralph called in and said that he loved the movie and congratulated him on that. He said that the movie was completely believable and you even believe that he made that suit.
Howard said that there was a flaw in the movie. He said that there was no way that the Jeff Bridges character could have made a bigger and better suit than Robert Downey's character did. Jon said that they recovered the other suit and reverse engineered it so that's why it was made so quickly. He said that the learning curve was a little out of line so he gets that and took the blame for that.
Howard said that maybe they should have sent him the script first. Jon said that he wouldn't have even taken his call.
Ralph had a list of his favorite super hero movies and everyone was arguing with him about the list. Here's what he gave as his top 10:
Howard congratulated Jon on the movie again and said that he hopes that Downey Jr. appreciates him putting him in the movie. Jon said that Downy is getting a lot of offers now. He's signed on for the second and third one already. Jon said that he will get paid more for the second one even though he is already locked in to doing it. Howard said he didn't understand that and how it could work that way. The guys talked about how they want their stars to feel good so they'll renegotiate the deals to keep them happy.
Howard asked if they think that Downy could relapse. Jon said that it must be the hardest thing in the world to go through with that stuff. He said that he's taking it seriously and staying away from all of that stuff now. Artie said he'd worry about that too but he thinks that Downy has a teenage son and he's got a lot more to deal with now.
Jon said that he didn't know Downey very well before he went into it with him but everyone he spoke with thought he was the right guy for the job.
Howard asked Jon if he's good friends with Vince Vaughn. Jon said he is and talked a little bit about his relationship with Jennifer Aniston. He said they really didn't talk about that kind of stuff though.
Ralph asked Jon if he gets to keep anything from Iron Man. Jon said that he does have a mask there and he dos have some other stuff. Ralph wanted the whole suit. Jon said he wasn't sure if he should send him anything or send it to Howard. Howard wrapped up with Jon a short time later and let him go.
Howard Wonders Why Favreau Keeps Screwing Him Over With Iron Man Merch. 09/02/10. 7:50am
Howard said he had this meeting with Tim and he was so proud of that Iron Man and Senator Stern sign he got from Jon Favreau. He said Robin is going to think he's a terrible person when he tells this story. He told the story about the Jon Favreau thing and how he sent him that toy he ended up giving to Jason. He said that Jon was very appreciative of his support. Howard said he sent him this toy that any idiot can buy in a toy store. Howard said he's not 4 years old so he wondered why he would send him that. Howard said he complained on the air and Jon ended up sending him this Iron Man mask and the Senator Stern sign from ''Iron Man 2.'' He really wasn't fishing for gifts from the guy.
Howard said the stuff he got from Jon didn't say it was from the movie. It was very vague. He said he figured it was rare stuff he got. He wrote him a thank-you note and sent him a picture of the display and all of that. He said he got a note back from Jon and he told him that the eyes light up and stuff. He said he didn't even know that. Howard said Jon sent him the letter and clarified about exactly what he got. The Senator Stern thing was on camera and the mask was a prop for the movie. He said they added the lights to it but there are only a few of these in existence. Howard said that it still sounds very vague to him. He said it still sounds important to him.
Howard said he figured Ralph would be jealous. He emailed him a picture of the mask and Ralph got back to him. Ralph said ''welcome to the club'' and he figured he was jealous. Then he sent back a picture and he was looking at the Iron Man head but it wasn't his book shelf. It turns out that Ralph has one exactly like it. Howard said he is so disgusted that he's going to take that head and throw it out the window. Howard said he wanted Ralph to be jealous and he has the same, stupid, Iron Man head.
Jason said that the head is a cheap, plastic thing. Howard said that's what he has. Jason said his toy's eyes light up too. Jason said if it's the same thing then it is just a shitty plastic thing. He said that Ralph may have gotten his from the people at Paramount. Howard said that he can't believe that everyone has one. He's getting rid of his if that's the case.
Howard asked why Favreau does this to him. Robin said that he's getting a lot of attention from him on this. Howard said he's done with Favreau now. He said he can't let him direct ''Footless'' after all of this. Howard said Jon explained to him that this wasn't from the movie and now he sees what it really is. Howard said that it did seem like a piece of shit and it turns out it was.
Ralph called in and told Howard that his is actually better. He said that his is made from the mould. Ralph's is made by a company that does replicas. Ralph said that Howard's is made from the actual moulds that they used for the movie. He said that's why it's better. Ralph said his is made of metal but the one Howard has is better even though it's made of plastic.
Howard said now his sounds more valuable than Ralph's. Howard read Favreau's note again and it sounds like it could have been used in the movie if they had broken some other ones. Howard said he thinks that they just had a bunch made up for shlubs like him. Howard said that it is a prop and not a commercial piece. He said that they have a magnetic neck piece on this thing that allows the stunt doubles to wear them.
Gary told Howard that Favreau emailed him too and he thinks that he either doesn't have access to that stuff or he doesn't want to give it up. Howard said he doesn't want anything... but if you're going to send something, you'd think it would be something really cool. Howard said he doesn't want something that Ralph has. Howard said that this isn't something that was in the movie. He said he'd prefer that he not have anything. He said that he displayed the note along with the helmet and desk sign. He said that he wants some authentication and that's what he has. Howard said he's all shook up from this and he wasn't able to say ''authentication.'' He was saying ''authentification.''
Ralph said that the desk sign was in the movie though. He said that's going to be his disclaimer when he says the helmet wasn't in the movie.
Howard said he couldn't believe when he got the picture from Ralph. He said he even has a special stand for his. Howard said he has to figure out how to make the eyes light up on his helmet. Ralph said he'll help him out with that when he comes over.
Howard said he was showing that head off to Tim and now he realizes it's not even in the movie. Robin said that Jon is going to have to find some other piece of junk to send to him. Howard said when you buy a Picasso you don't buy a replica of it. He said he wants Robert Downey Jr's head hanging in his house. Robin said she went to a house and this guy had a Terminator replica in his house. She said she was wondering if it was real but she figures it isn't now.
Howard said he took that picture of his helmet and he realized that next to it was a pile of books about him. He said he had pictures of himself and things like that there too. He had to take the picture so he wouldn't see all of that stuff so he wouldn't look so shallow. Howard said he wanted to look more intellectual so he put some other books there to cover them up. He had the bible next to it instead.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he should post a picture so the fans can see it. Howard said he'll send the picture of the fake head so they can see that. Howard sent the picture to Jason so he can post it on HowardStern.com. Jason said it may take a while if everyone goes to the site right now. Howard said there's no rush to get on the site.
Howard said this whole thing is a diaster and Favreau has to stop sending him stuff. Howard told Jason to get that picture up in one minute. Jason said he'd do that.
Howard said he had that Paul McCartney guitar at his apartment too. That's just a replica too and Paul never even played it. Howard said he has that in a display case. He did sign it but he never played the thing. Howard said he has a bunch of shitty things on display. Howard said he has a great poster of the Three Stooges on display and that means something to him. He started getting sentimental so he built a display case for the guitar. He said he made a whole display out of that and then someone told him that it was just a replica. He said they make it look old but it's really a fake. It was his real signature and he did give it to him on the show... but it's still not real.
Howard said that this psychiatry isn't working out for him. He said that everyone goes horribly wrong when he listens to the guy. Howard said he was going to run over to the Discovery Channel and threaten to kill everyone after he got that picture from Ralph.
Howard said he was reading about that shooter from the Discovery Channel and how nutty he was. Howard said the guy was a world class fuckin' nut. Howard said he looks like other nuts too. He said they all have a similar look.
Howard said the picture was up on the web site. He explained what was in the picture and how he had posed it to look more intellectual. Robin said they should put up the Ralph picture too. Howard asked Jason to get that one up fast too. Howard went into his email and forwarded that one to Jason. Howard said Ralph's looks just as good as his.
Jason got Ralph's picture and said that Howard's display was better. That was about it. Howard said he had a decorator come in and help him with that. He said that was for his phony, baloney helmet. Howard said this woman came over and charged him to set that thing up.
Howard said he had a story in the paper to read about that Discovery Channel shooter. He read some quotes from the guy who was talking about how disgusting the human race is. Howard said he was great for Discovery because he was sure that they weren't even on the air anymore.
Howard took a call and the guy said he can't believe he fell for that Favreau stuff again. Another caller said that no one cares about this Iron Man helmet. Howard said it's not about the helmet, it's about what an asshole he (Howard) is.
Howard read more quotes from this Discover nut. He was complaining about the way human beings are ruining the world and how they have to save the animals. Howard said they had a lot of deep thoughts from him. He had all kinds of guns and explosives on him at Discovery when he took the people hostage. Howard said the guy was out on the street handing out money to people and they should have arrested him then.
Howard took a call from Ralph who said he posted the picture up on his Twitter. Howard said he already had it on his site. Howard had the guys show the picture up on his site. They showed the two side by side.
Howard 100 News Preview And Jon Favreau Calls In. 09/02/10. 9:45am
Howard said he had to take a break but he had Jon Favreau on the phone. Jon wanted to explain to him what the mask was. He said there is no real Iron Man. He said they make masks for the guys who play the character. He said that he wants to put and end to this. Howard said he wants to thank Jon for the gift and leave it at that. Jon said that he would never give anything to Howard that Ralph has at home. Jon thanked Howard for all of the years of radio. He's been listening since he was in high school. He said he loves them. Howard said he loves him too and he asked him to send him something from Cowboys & Aliens.
Jon told Howard that Howard and Robert Downey Jr. are the only people, other than Jon, who have that mask. Howard said he doesn't believe that.
Howard said he's going to make Jon the director on ''Footless.'' Jon said if he's available, he'll do it. Howard let him go after that.
Howard said that he found his mask that they sell. Howard said he's just going to give it away. Howard said he found out that they sell it for $700 to anyone who wants one. Fred said he's pretty sure there are more than just 3 masks. Howard showed Robin the mask and said that it's from the same, stupid mould. He said that Jon should just not send him anything. He went over that story again about how Ralph showed him a very similar mask. Howard said he wished that Jon hadn't embarrassed him like that. He said that the decorator thought it was real too. They had to go to break after that.
Director Jason Reitman Visits. 04/10/08. 8:45am
Jason also turned down ''Dude, Where's My Car.'' He said that he was being offered those kind of movies and they had budgets that were probably higher than any movie he's made so far and even for the one he wants to make next.
Jason talked about how well ''Juno'' did. He said that a lot of people liked that one and they also liked ''Thank You For Smoking.'' He said that they got all of these nominations and the critics loved it. He said that he got offered ''Justice League'' but he didn't want to do that one. He said that the script was fine but he doesn't want to make that. He said that they have every character in that movie. He said he wasn't sure what he could do with the movie. He figured that he'd make it and it wouldn't be as good as X-Men and he'd be the guy who made that movie.
Jason said that he likes doing the kind of movies he's doing now and he'd like to keep making them. He said that he's thinking about adapting a book for his next movie but no one would even know the book. He said that the book was something he really liked and that's what he wants to turn into a movie. He said that these movies are being made for under $15 million and that's fine with him.
Jason thinks that Howard is going to love the next movie he's working on. He told him that the story will appeal to him. Howard asked if he would like it because it has Spider-Man in it? Jason joked that he's going to do Spider Man 4. He said that Sam Raimi has made those movies for the past 10 years and now he's going to have a hard time getting away from that. Howard said that's fine and he should keep making them because he's so good at it.
Crazy Steve O And Comic Book Discussions. 09/21/04. 6:10am
Howard wants to get some new ink on himself. He said that Cabbie just got a new tattoo on the back of his hand and that inspired him to get something new. Steve O was in yesterday and cut himself with a knife and then rubbed tattoo ink into the open wound to create his own tattoo. Howard said he likes Steve as a guest but it might not be good to have him in the studio because he's screaming out for attention and goes a little far to do things to impress them. Howard said he clearly needs psychological help. Robin told Howard that he's stapling his own testicles when he's not on the show so he's not just doing it for Howard. They brought up some of the other wacky stunts that Steve has done over the years and discussed them. Howard also pointed out that Steve had some bad fake teeth in his mouth yesterday as well. He thought that Steve looked like a cartoon character from Spawn.
The cartoon reference got Howard talking about other cartoons like the ''Justice League'' cartoons that are airing these days. He likes them even though he isn't a fan of Wonder Woman. Howard doesn't really like The Green Lantern and gave Robin a history lesson about that character and how he was always white in the comic books he read but now he's black. He talked about some of the other characters in The Justice League. There's Hawk Girl who is apparently dating The Green Lantern. They talked a little bit about her and Aquaman.
In the clip Howard talked about what a great weekend he had reading comic books. He said he was reading some Superman comics and things like that. He said that his cousin used to pain the covers for Batman. He said that was his whole job. He said his name is Jack Adler. He said he was a big deal over there.
Howard said Jack worked on Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and others. He said he had a great job. Howard said it's a weird process to see. He said that the stories are great. He said Jack would talk to them if they called. Howard said he loves talking about that stuff.
Howard said that he had thousands of comics when he was growing up and his mother gave them all away. He said they meant so much to him and his mother just gave them away. Howard said he still has every MAD magazine he had since he was a kid. He said he refused to let his mother throw those away.
Howard said Jack had a whole garage filled with Superman stuff. He said it was all one of a kind. Howard said his grandson decided to sell it for him and only got $15,000 for it. Howard said he talked to Jack about it and he knows it was worth a lot more than that.
Howard's Movie Filled Weekend. 03/30/09. 6:10am
Howard asked Gary to take something back to a movie studio for him. Howard said that he had a movie that a studio sent to him and it was his name all over it. Howard said the movie, ''Sunshine Cleaning,'' was a very good. Robin said that the name isn't very good.
Howard said he was talking about Michael Penn recently and he got a message from him. Then he was watching this movie and he saw that he did the soundtrack for the movie.
Artie wanted to guess what this movie was about because he did see a 30 second commercial. Artie kind of knew what it was about. It was about a cleaning company that does crime scene clean up. Howard said that it was kind of a chick flick but it was good. He said he gives it a big thumbs up.
Howard said that he watched Punisher 2 and the new James Bond movie ''Quantum of Solace.'' Howard said that he's been watching more movies since he gave up on the chess playing. He said he still plays chess but not as much as he was.
Howard said he also saw some other manly movie. He said he didn't like the Punisher movie. He said it was horrible and he spent $40 on that. Howard said he mailed it to Beth's brother since he thought it was a pretty manly movie.
Howard said the guy playing the Punisher was kind of a douche. He said that the story wasn't that great and they have lame characters in the movie. He said that there was some over acting and the script was pretty bad. He said the movie overall just sucked.
Howard said he did like ''Quantum of Solace.'' He said it wasn't as good as the previous Bond movie. Artie said he didn't know what was going on and there was too much bullshit in the beginning. Howard said he agrees but it's still worth watching.
Artie said there was a smoking hot chick in that movie. Howard said there were two. Artie said that there was one really hot one and one that was hot but not quite as hot. Artie said they find really unique looking chicks for those Bond movies.
Howard said that he hates when they screw up comic book movies. He said that the Punisher was a great comic book and they didn't do a good job with the movie. Howard said that Punisher was kind of like Bat Man but he actually kills people. He said you feel good when he kills people too.
Artie said he used to like the old Superman TV shows when the guys were like 3 feet away and they'd just keep shooting. The bullets would disappear to the side and not ricochet into them. Howard said that he liked when the guys would throw their guns after they emptied them. That led to the guys talking about some of the old episodes of those shows. Howard said he liked when Chuck Connors was playing the part of a guy who thought he was superman. He also liked the Mole Men episode.
Howard talked about the Mole Men episode where they used a vacuum cleaner as a prop for a weapon. Robin said she has to see that one. Howard said that you can get those old shows on DVD. He said he has them and he's going to watch them in a marathon one weekend.
Artie said that when that Superman was in a suit he looked good but then you see him in that suit and he looks fat. Howard said that George Reeves wasn't too happy playing that part and he didn't care much about the way he looked.
Howard said that the costume would bag out at the knees sometimes. Robin said that it was kind of loose and you could almost see him tugging at it at times.
Artie said that the movie Hollywoodland had some stuff about George Reeves' life and it was pretty interesting to see how he was treated.
Howard said that someone just told him that the Superman TV series was on for 6 years, not the 2 years he thought it was. Howard said that whoever told him that wrote ''The Avengers of Superman'' on the screen. Will apologized for that because he doesn't speak nerd.
Gary brought in a synopsis of the Chuck Connors episode of that Superman show. Howard read through that goofy synopsis. He didn't want to read through the whole thing.
Robin Song Parodies, Comic Books And More. 06/13/11. 7:15am
Howard said he heard that Gary was going back and forth between the basketball and the Tony Awards. He said he saw Neil Patrick Harris and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) doing a number together. Robin said she found it funny when Howard came out of the latest X-Men movie doing that voice he was doing. Howard said he was doing his own character but it was kind of like Magneto. Howard said you know a movie is good when you walk out and want to be that guy.
Howard said he was watching the new Green Lantern cartoon this weekend. He said he gets his powers from the elders. Robin said she needs to know more about this. She said that he was the first human to be given the green lantern powers. Howard said he was an air force test pilot. Howard said this is what he was doing while Eddie Van Halen was practicing guitars. Howard said he was busy reading comic books.
Howard said the ring chooses you and they look for people who are not afraid. Howard told Robin about how there are many Lanterns around the universe and it's not just Earth. Howard said Green Lantern has to go and join the other lanterns to protect the universe. Howard said the elders are tiny guys like Yoda who fly wherever they want. Howard said they call the Lanterns to meetings and tell them what they need to do. Howard chuckled as he was telling these stories.
Howard said they killed off Hal Jordan in the comic books. He said he thinks they may have brought him back but he's not sure. He hasn't kept up on that very much. He said he liked Hal Jordan the best. Howard said the comic book business was in the shit hole until the comic book movies started coming out. He said they were doing all kinds of things with the characters before that.
Howard said that Hal Jordan ended up dying and his ring flew off. He said that they can fuck up in a battle and get killed. Robin said that the ring becomes everything you want it to though. Howard said some of the enemies could win against them. Howard said it's a whole thing. He said that someone can blow you up or the ring can run out of energy... like an iPhone. Howard said he's been trying to keep his phone charged and he keeps a cord around so he can get it charged. Robin said she sees people asking to plug their phones in out at bars and stuff. Howard said he wouldn't do that, he's not an asshole.
Robin said that they say that you should let the phone run down below 20 percent before charging it. Howard said he didn't know that. Robin said she was told to let it go below 20 percent or it will ruin the battery. She said that they say not to charge it more than 2 hours or you'll ruin the battery. Robin said she's always running around worrying about that. Gary said that they must have told her wrong. That's an outdated school of thinking. Gary said he charges his every night, overnight, and it's fine. Robin said it was driving her crazy. Howard told Robin not to worry about it and just charge the stupid thing.
Howard said he doesn't remember life without a PDA. He said he ran into a guy who had a flip phone the other day. Robin said Sandra Bernhard had one. Howard said he told this guy to leave. He said he's weird if he has a flip phone. Robin said she was against it all at first. She said that the camera on the phone has caused so many problems.
Robin asked if TiVo is the greatest thing that he's added to TV. Robin said they've done everything now. She said you can get everything on that thing now. Robin said it's ridiculous. Howard said he can do that but he hasn't used most of those features. Robin said that you can go on Netflix and Hulu and all of that. Howard said he's busy doing stuff on his computers. He said it takes up your whole day. He said he spent all of Sunday on his computer. He said he doesn't walk outside anymore.
Howard's iChat With Ralph And Jon Hein. 04/11/11. 6:30am
Howard said he tried to get Robin on the iChat thing but she didn't respond. Howard said he hooked up with Ross Zapin and Ross was showing him his dog and wife. He had never been over to his place so he got to see his apartment. Howard said he has a small apartment so he'd have to stare at the guy if he went over there. They always just go out to dinner instead.
Howard said he hooked up with Jon Hein and Ralph and had a 3 way conversation. He said they didn't have Lisa G's name to get her on. He said they were exchanging pictures with each other. He said some guy called the Wrap Up Show and said that Jon had become one of his good friends. Jon said that they do that because they're talking over the computer. Howard said he and Jon got close when they both had Android phones and when he got his iPhone he stopped talking to Jon. He said Jon went out and bought an iPhone. He said Ralph thinks Jon freaked out and missed talking to him so he went out and got the iPhone. Howard said Jon got the phone within 3 days of him getting one. Ralph told him he's been trying to get Jon to get an iPhone for years and Howard got him to do it in days.
Howard played a clip from the Wrap Up Show where the called asked about the way Jon has wormed his way into Howard's life with the phone thing. Jon was saying he wasn't worming his way into Howard's life in that clip.
Jon came in and said that he wasn't trying to work his way into Howard's life. Howard said they were spending a lot of time with him when they had the phone thing to talk about. Howard stopped when he moved to the iPhone and then Jon got one. Jon said he was waiting for it to come to Verizon and that's what he did. He said the one thing he didn't like about the Android was the battery life. He said he's going to stick with his iPhone even if Howard gives it up. Howard said he's going to keep his.
Jon said the greatest thing was that Ralph wasn't able to get his iChat to work. Howard said Ralph would talk and nothing would work and he'd get all upset about it. Howard said he and Jon were fine. Jon said he must have faulty equipment. He said he claims to know how to use a Mac but it wasn't working last night.
Howard said he had a lot of fun doing that but he's got too much equipment. He said he heard something beeping at him and he didn't know it was the computer. He thought it was the phone but it was his computer.
Robin said she's still feeling weird with the whole Apple computer thing. Howard said she'll get used to it eventually.
Howard said he was checking out Ralph's apartment and he had never seen it before. He said that he had stuff on shelves which surprised him. He said Ralph was saying that was his ''work'' there. He makes little drawings and art and stuff. He said he's not sure what job he has where he has to do this ''work.'' Howard said when you work you make money. He said he calls photography a hobby and Ralph must have a lot of hobbies that he calls work. Howard said he knows another guy like that who says they do this work but they never actually have a job. He was referring to someone who goes on a lot of auditions but never books a job.
Howard said Ralph had a lot of stuff hanging up in his apartment and it was like someone hanging up their kid's stuff on a refrigerator.
Howard said they were having a competition last night trying to figure out who had the cooler stuff in their apartment. Howard said he got his Iron Man mask from the movie and Ralph got out his mask and said his was better because he could put it on. Jon had nothing to show other than his dog.
Howard said Ralph pulled out that Iron Man figurine and showed that. Howard said he gave that to Ralph so he told him he can't pull that out. Howard said he has the ''Senator Stern'' name plate from Iron Man 2 and he showed that. Ralph didn't think that was so cool.
Howard said they were showing pictures so he showed some of Beth. Ralph was showing some good ones too. Howard said they were mostly of John Stamos' girlfriend. Howard said he and Jon were talking about Richard Christy when he was fat and they talked about how he looked better fat. He has a lollipop head now. Howard said Ralph pointed out that he wasn't invited to the wedding. Howard said Richard invited everyone. Ralph doesn't give gifts so maybe that's why he doesn't get invited. Howard said he gives shitty gifts when he does give them.
Howard and Jon talked about how creepy Ralph's apartment looked. Howard said he knows a girl who dated him and cried when she saw the apartment. Howard said he invited Ralph and that girl over for dinner once and she was talking about going to his apartment and seeing the big picture of Pamela Anderson. She thought he was like a 2 year old. Howard did an impression of her telling him about what she saw there and how she ran into the bathroom and told her friend about the Star Wars stuff and the Pam picture. She started to cry in his bathroom. Howard said Ralph doesn't care. He just tells her to leave if she doesn't like it. Jon said he thinks she made the right move. Howard said she ended up staying and Ralph did fuck her. Gary said that didn't last very long though. It was maybe 6 months.
Howard said Ralph can't tolerate people and women and if any of them lay a problem on him they're out the door. Gary said they've known him for like 25 years and he's never dated anyone longer than 3 months.
Howard said the chick was kind of cool but he knew it was over when she got into a car accident and asked Ralph to come and help her. Ralph didn't do anything and said he didn't know what she wanted him to do about it.
Gary said he asked Richard about the wedding thing and Richard said they're on the fence about Ralph. He said ''probably not'' about inviting him to the wedding. Howard asked Richard why he's on the fence. Richard came in and said he can imagine Ralph making fun of the people at the wedding and analyzing everything there. Howard said he would imagine that too.
Richard said his greatest joy ever was when he beat Ralph in the IQ test. He said he had a 117 and Ralph had a 112. Richard said they may invite Ralph if they have room in the wedding. He said he doubts that he'll want to come now though. Howard said he doesn't really hang out with him anyway. Richard said he might think that everyone from the show is invited. He said they're limited with who they're inviting so they have to pick people they hang out with.
Back Live - Wolfie At Brony-Con Clips Played. 07/16/12. 6:00am
Howard said Wolfie went out to something called Brony-Con. Howard thought he heard a baby crying but Robin said that's her cats actually. Howard said Robin's cats flock to him when he goes to her house. Robin said they love him.
Howard said some woman died at Comic-Con. He said she was 53 and she was waiting on line at some symposium out there. He said she went to cross the street to save her place in line and she fell in the street and a car ran over her head. She was going to see the cast of Twilight. Howard said that's what she died for. Howard said he heard there was a rumor that her friend went in to see the cast even after her friend had just died in the street. Howard said she wasn't dressed as anything from what he heard. He said that they could have ended up calling 9-1-1 and saying there was a werewolf dead in the street. Howard said it's an awful story and it's really not funny. Robin said that whole story is wrong. She was 53 and going to see the cast of Twilight.
Howard said Wolfie went to this Brony-Con and it's for people who are into My Little Pony. He said it's mostly grown men who go to it too. He said this is out in Pennsylvania. He said that they're turned on by the comic pony in the My Little Pony thing.
Howard played a clip of Wolfie asking a guy what a ''clopper'' is and if he has pleasured himself to My Little Pony images. The guy said he guesses he has. He said he's done it a lot too.
Gary came in and showed Howard a picture of Wolfie with a couple of the guys at Brony-Con. Howard said the name Brony-Con is disturbing enough alone. He played another clip of Wolfie asking a guy what a Brony is. The guy said it's fans of the My Little Pony universe and they might like dressing up. He was dressed up as Rainbow Dash. Wolfie asked him to sing a few bars from the show. The guy did it. Wolfie asked a bunch of questions about the show and what it is they do when they're Brony's.
Howard told Robin to keep with this and listen in. Howard played another clip of Wolfie asking another guy about the My Little Pony thing. That guy was saying he's into the ''sweet pony ass'' when he jerks off to that stuff.
Howard played another clip where a Brony was telling Wolfie about how there is My Little Pony porn out there. He was also informing Wolfie about what ''fapping'' is. That's the sound you make when you're masturbating. Wolfie asked the guy who he likes best and jerks off to most often. The guy said he won't answer that.
Howard asked Robin what she thinks about that. Robin said this is the saddest thing she's ever heard. Howard played another clip of Wolfie asking a guy about his My Little Pony collection. The guy said he hides his collection away in his room. He said that it's hard to explain it to his friends and family when they think it's a kid's show. He's 27 years old. He still lives at home. He told Wolfie that his dad is proud of him.
Howard said there was one guy who said he's 28 years old ''I believe'' like he didn't know how old he was. Howard played another clip and cut it off saying he can't take much more. Robin said she was fascinated. Howard played more of the clip and the guy was talking about how he doesn't smile much and it tends to make people kind of skittish. He said he was once reported as a potential terrorist when he went into a store to shop. Wolfie asked him who he was into and if he tells people that he's into this stuff. He said he doesn't tell anyone and his parents are kind of old fashioned so he doesn't tell them about it. Wolfie asked the guy if it would be harder for his father to hear he's a gay man or that he's a Brony. The guy said it would be harder for the Brony thing. Wolfie had him sing some of the theme song for him. The guy did that for him.
Howard wondered how you know to put this together and that 4,000 people will show up to it. Robin wondered why it was in Pennsylvania. Howard said he thinks it was in the back woods somewhere too. He said it wasn't in Philadelphia or anywhere like that.
Howard said he had one clip listed as ''Depressed Brony.'' Howard played that clip and it was the guy who wasn't sure if he was 28. He told Wolfie that he's unemployed and his parents don't seem to care about his obsession. He said it's not the first weird thing he's latched on to. Wolfie asked him about his depression and about how many ponies he has in his collection. He said he has 8. He keeps them on a shelf next to his bed. Howard said he'd like to see that bedroom. He said he'd bet that if you're a girl you'd never get out of that bedroom.
Howard said he has one last clip. He played that one and Wolfie asked the guy about the Pony character he was carrying with him. He said he makes them and makes hats too. Howard said that's such a waste of time. Wolfie asked him what his parents think about his obsession. The guy said his parents don't understand it. He said he keeps his ponies out on a shelf. Howard said he's afraid to watch My Little Pony now. Wolfie asked the guy if he'd rather be there or banging a supermodel. The guy said he'd rather be there.
Brony-Con And Comic-Con Discussions. 07/18/12. 8:10am
Howard said people are disturbed by the whole My Little Pony thing. Robin said she'd like to put those people behind bars. Howard said they played audio of Wolfie at Brony-Con the other day. Howard said it turns out that they found a lot of guys who jerk off to My Little Pony cartoons. Howard said they like My Little Pony ass. Howard said the whole thing is weird. They have My Little Pony porn out there.
Howard said that he's gotten a lot of email from people who are upset about the way he's painting the community out there. Howard said that they say there is only a small community of ''cloppers'' who are jerking off to it. Howard said they say they're ruining it for everyone else who doesn't do that.
Howard had some pony porn for Robin. Howard played a clip of something Sal and Richard put together with horse sounds and a guy moaning.
Howard played the My Little Pony theme song and then played a parody about Robin. Gary said he got a note from the head of Brony-Con and they apparently got into the convention without permission and they have to fill out some kind of form next year or they'll get kicked out. Howard said no one would even think to apply for a badge. Howard said there are 4,000 nudnicks who get together to talk about My Little Pony. Howard said Steve Brandano was out at Comic-Con and he saw someone dressed up like My Little Pony out there.
Howard said Jason Raff told him about the My Little Pony cartoon and how he can't watch it with his kids now that he's heard that whole thing. Howard said all of these conventions are wild. He said Steve Brandano did some interviews with some people at comic-Con. Howard said he'd play a couple of those and then get to the contest.
Howard played one clip where Steve talked to a character that was very obscure. Howard said the more obscure they are the more entitled the fan thinks they are.
Howard also talked about the Khaleesi and how so many overweight women were dressing up as that character out there. Gary was out there at Comic-Con too so he saw that first hand.
Howard played more of the interview Steve was doing with that character out there. Howard said these guys can't possibly have a job. Steve said this guy was like 17 or 18 so he's in that weird area where it might not matter if his boss hears this. Steve said he was lost on this character. He said it's possible that it was an Anime character he was dressed up as. He said he was very proud to be under the radar with that costume.
Howard said he would be embarrassed if he was 17 and dressing up like that. He said he's still in school and people might find out about it.
Howard played another clip of Steve talking to a couple of characters from the Mortal Combat game. The guy was dressed up as Sub Zero and he had a mask on so it was hard to understand what he was saying.
Steve told Howard about this one guy who has a family and they don't know that he dresses up as an Aqua Bat. Steve said that it's a kid's show where the people dress up as super heroes and sing in a band. Steve asked him if his family knows what he does and he says they don't. He said he keeps his stuff under his dresser and hides if from his wife and kids. He said he has to work on his belt in the bathroom and he has to hide it from them. He said his wife and daughter made fun of him for spending so much time in there.
Howard asked Steve if he went through the badge process to do his Comic-Con thing. Gary said he didn't get a press badge so he did side step it. Howard said they're doing undercover work there. Howard said he digs the guy with the mask. He did his impression of the guy trying to talk through his heavy mask. Howard said you have to be really fucked up to do that.
Howard asked Gary if he'd be depressed if his kid was into this. Gary said yes. He said even if they had a job and they did this on the weekends he'd still be bothered.
Robin said that Howard told that juggler kid on AGT that his parents should have sopped him from juggling early on. She said he's right about that.
Gary said that when you go to Comic-Con they don't say that. They say ''con'' and they'll ask ''How's your Con going?'' He said he feels weird even answering that. Steve said that's what he was doing. He said he'd ask people how their Con was going. Howard said it is a con so it's good they call it that.
Gary said Comic-Con has the most loyal fans ever. He said they have vendors who have buttons and t-shirts that are made just for that year. He said they were complaining about how they had TV shows and stuff there. He said people were upset about Breaking Bad being there.
Howard asked Steve if this was the best Con for him ever. Steve said it was pretty good. Gary said they had a good time out there. Steve said that he likes being able to get into the parties and stuff out there.
Howard got back to the audio clips and played one where a guy was talking about being dressed up as a Viking. He was part of some group that dresses up like that. Howard said they should have Howard-Con and have Bobo there in a booth. Steve said they could have people dress up like people on the show. Howard said people could dress up like Smelly James if they want to be really obscure.
Howard said people could dress up like Andre Gardner or Richie Herbie. Gary said maybe it could be Eli who was Richie's assistant. Howard said someone could come as Andy Bloom's mother. Howard said Andre might show up as himself to that Con.
Howard wondered who you could dress up as. Maybe Sussy the lighting guy who left to go biking around the country. Howard said someone could come as Black Vinnie Favale. Gary said there is one. He said Vinnie has a family member who is black. Howard said you could come as the guy who he saved from jumping off the bridge. Robin said they could have the people who scammed them.
Howard said they could have that woman who pretended to be Madonna's sister. Howard said maybe it could be George Flowers or Tom Gesimondo. Robin said maybe they could have the helicopter people Roz Frank and Donna Feducia.
Howard got back to the audio clips with Steve and the Viking guy. Howard said they should all join the group that the guy is in just to ruin it. The guy told Steve about how they fight and have to be trained before they do it. The guy said he's spent about $4,000 on his costume and he's 27 years old. Howard said the list is coming in for Howard-Con. He read a bunch of the names from the list and Dan the Song Parody Man's pony tail was one of them. Gary said his pony tail actually got cut off. Howard said you could come as Ed Torian. Robin said you could come as Ed Torian's lie detector. Howard said Neil Berliner, The Jesus Twins manager and more were some of the names.
Howard played another interview Steve did with a kilted Stormtrooper. Gary said the guy explains why he has one on. In the clip the guy was talking through his helmet and explaining why he had the kilt on. Gary said that these people take over all of San Diego and you see these characters all over the place.
Gary said he took Steve to Nobu and everyone there was in costume. Gary said Steve thought the place was exclusive but they let in all of those people with costumes. He said Batman was there eating at Nobu.
Howard played more of the clip and the guy was explaining that he's in a group of Scottish and Irish guys who wear the kilts.
Howard said he got more names for Howard-Con. He had Captain Dennis and Sal Calabro were a couple of the names.
Howard said it's getting late in the show so he has to get to the contest. He has to go to AGT tonight too so he has to get some sleep. Howard said he looked good last night with that jacket he was wearing. Howard said he loves Sharon's hair. He said it's like purple. Howard said she came by to console him about his dog and he asked her about the hair. He told her it was fantastic. Howard said she has to wear more plunging neck lines too. He said she has a great rack and he alluded to that on the show. They went to break a short time later.
In the clip Howard was talking about seeing Kevin Smith on Conan O'Brien's show and how he was talking about the Superman script he wrote. Howard said it sounded pretty cool but in a weird way. Howard said he thinks it could be good. Gary told Howard that they're not using that script. He said that Tim Burton is taking over and now Tim and Kevin are arguing over the script. Howard and Robin spent a few minutes talking about that. Kevin called in later in the show. Here's my rundown from that day:
Kevin Smith Calls In. 6/24/97. 10:15am
Earlier in the morning Howard was talking about comic books and movies based on comic books like Batman and Superman. He's heard that there's a new Superman movie in the works with Tim Burton directing it. The script was written by this guy Kevin Smith who wrote ''Chasing Amy'' and ''Clerks''. Kevin heard Howard talking about it so he called in to talk to Howard. He agrees with Howard about the new Batman movie sucking. He called it ''..like a gay Fantasia..'' He also talked about the Superman script that he wrote. He said that the original script isn't being used but a lot of his ideas are. The dialog is changed. He's going to send the scripts to Howard so he can read them for himself.
Director Tim Burton Comes In. 11/12/1999. 8:20am
After the break Howard had Tim Burton in to promote his new movie ''The Legend of Sleepy Hollow'' which opens Friday, November 19. Burton has directed movies like ''Mars Attacks'', ''Edward Scissorhands'', ''Ed Wood'', ''Beetlejuice'' and ''The Nightmare Before Christmas.'' Howard met Tim a couple years ago at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Tim's a fan of Howard's and they spent some time talking out there.
Today Howard wanted to find out what happened to the new ''Superman'' movie Tim was working on. Tim worked for a full year on the new movie but it was eventually scrapped for some reason. Tim basically said that the studios turn the movies into toys and t-shirts before the movie is even made and that kind of ruins the thing. They also have weird ideas for the characters that just sound dumb.
Tim explained how the studio wanted Superman to wear shorts instead of the red tights that he's worn in the past and they wanted flames on the sides of his boots. They also wanted him to wear corduroy!
Howard kissed Tim's ass a little bit telling him how great the first ''Batman'' movie was and how he was really looking forward to this new ''Superman'' movie.
Howard also spoke to Tim about his weird family life. Tim said he wanted out of his family home so bad that he tried to crawl out before he could even walk. He said his parents weren't really bad people, he just didn't get along with them.
Howard pointed out how hot his current girlfriend is. Lisa Marie and Tim met at a strip club and have been together for years. He said he had to wait a really long time to get someone so beautiful. He said that he could count the number of women he had before her on one hand.. with three fingers cut off. He wasn't very popular in high school but did go to his 10 year high school reunion. He said it was very surreal. He said the people who were always picked on in school were the good looking, successful people and the people who were the king and queen of the prom were looking like old people.
Tim also told Howard that he worked for Disney studios doing animation but he couldn't do their type of drawing so he moved on. He made some short movies and Pee Wee Herman saw them and gave him his first director job. He now says he's the luckiest man in the world.
Howard plugged ''The Legend of Sleepy Hollow'' and took a call from Chaunce Hayden who said he saw the movie. He told Tim that it's great and that he'd give it 4 stars.
Howard also let his buddy Ralph come in to meet Tim because he's such a huge fan. Ralph asked Tim a few questions about his various movies. He also kissed his ass telling him that movies never disappoint him and he doesn't have any criticism's. He did ask why, in ''Batman'' with all of the expensive sets, did they use a Chevy Citation for Batman's love interest. Tim said it's hard to get good cars in England, where it was shot, so they had to use the producer's car. We also found out that Tim is working on a remake of ''The Man with X-Ray Eyes.'' That's another one Howard is looking forward to. Ralph asked a couple of other questions and eventually they had to end the interview.

Artie Running Late And Comic Book Character Discussions. 06/15/09. 6:05am
Howard said that he was reading that Captain America, the comic book character, is coming back to life in the comic books. Howard said he was never a fan so he didn't really care that he had been killed off.
Howard took a call from a guy who asked about how Aquaman came to be. Howard had the history of the character and told the caller about that. Howard said that he was a hybrid of a person who can live in the water and on land.
The caller also asked about the Martian Man Hunter. Howard had history on that character too and knew where he came from. Howard explained all of that to the caller. The caller had asked about the character Atom and where he came from. Howard knew that one as well so he filled the guy in on the details of that character. Howard knew a lot of details about those characters.
Howard said he was going to get off of the comic book characters after that. Artie showed up a short time later. Howard said he knows a lot about that stuff. Howard said that shows he didn't have much of a life when he was growing up.
Artie had lost his voice a bit so Howard asked what was going on there. Artie said he lost it going out to L.A. and doing a lot of talking.
Artie said he never got into the comic books, he was more into sports and Howard Stern when he was growing up. Howard said he had comic books pre-pubes and Playboy was post-pubes. He said his mom got him a subscription to the magazine when he was 13. Howard said his mother thought there was nothing wrong with that and said she was fine that he was looking at that.
Howard said that you can jerk off to comic books or Playboy. He said there were some hot chicks who were in the comic books. He said Flash was very feminine. He said he actually had a beautiful girlfriend in the comic books.
Super Hero Discussions. 05/03/07. 6:45am
Howard said the guys on the Wrap Up Show got into a discussion about who they idolize more, Spider-Man or Howard Stern. He played some audio from that where Jason and Steve the Intern were talking about that. Ralph even got in on it and said that he has to go with Spider-Man because there are no action figures of Howard. Howard cut in and said that Ralph gets to sit and stare at him so that's why he doesn't need to idolize him.
Gary told Howard about another clip on the show where Jason talked about a conversation he had with his girlfriend where he asked her what she would think if he ever developed super powers like Spider-Man. Howard played that clip and said that he'd be telling all of the women he was with that he was a super hero. Gary said that Jason has been going around the office spinning fake webs. He sticks his hand up and makes a ''fiss, fiss'' sound. Jason came in and demonstrated that for Howard a short time later.
Ralph called in and asked which super hero Howard would want to be. Howard said it would probably be Superman. He said he would never want to be Batman because he has no powers. The guys argued about Superman's Kryptonite problem and how that can disable his powers so easily.
Robin and Ralph both said they'd like to be Batman if they were super heroes. That led to the guys talking about how the Superman character was supposed to be actually goofing on man when he disguised himself as Clark Kent. Howard decided to cut everyone off and said he had to get out of the conversation with Ralph because he was mumbling into the phone.
Benjy asked why Superman doesn't wear a lead vest all the time. Howard told Benjy he didn't want to talk to him about that stuff because he really doesn't know what he's talking about. Benjy said he does but when Howard asked him a question about gold Kryptonite, Benjy said he never read the comic books. He did know some details about the character but not as much as Howard.
Artie said there was a picture of the girl who plays Lana Lang on Smallville and she looked really hot. Howard said she really is a pretty girl. He couldn't remember her name but said he's heard she's a real pain in the ass to work with. Howard wasn't sure how to pronounce her name, Kristin Kreuk, so he just took a stab at it. Artie was saying that she's almost perfect looking and ''angelic.''

More Superman Screening Discussions. 06/21/06. 8:20am
Ralph called in and told Howard that he thinks Superman was pretty good but a little bit long. That led to Howard playing his ''Ralphie Cakes'' song parody. Ralph went on, doing Howard's father's voice, and talked about the movie a little more. He said that the movie was okay but not a great movie. Howard was thrilled that he got to see the movie yesterday and told Ralph not to talk to him before seeing the movie.
Howard said he got to the movie and Ronnie the Limo Driver was sitting in ''his seat'' that he sits in at every screening. Al Rosenberg was also there sitting right in front of him. He loves Al dearly but his head is the size of a beach ball and wouldn't move. He said Al was just laughing, thinking it was a joke. Ralph then yells at Al and says ''Hey fuck head, he wants you to move.'' Al got up and moved and Howard felt really bad about it. He said he was thinking about that through the whole start of the movie.
Ronnie came in and said that he sat in that seat because he was saving it for Howard. He said he's never seen people who are such babies about their seats. Robin has her own seat and Howard has his. Howard told Ronnie he could do the screenings with no one there.
Robin and Mr. X both came in and sat down behind him but moved down to the front after he complained about people sitting so close to him. He said that poor Al had to move all of his shit. Then Howard thought about how he wanted to see the movie with no one around him so he was actually happy.
Richard came in and said that Howard was eating candy during the movie and it was really loud. Howard gave him a ''fuck you.'' Richard was also complaining about Howard and Ralph shushing everyone as the credits were starting the movie.
Howard said he always invites his first girlfriend to the movie screenings just to rub it in her face. He said that she's going to be everywhere they go because she dumped his ass. He wants to rub it in her face for as long as he can. He talked about how evil he is. He said he turned down his first girlfriend's boyfriend from coming and had to think twice about it. He said he had his assistant call her back to let her know that she could bring her man with her.
Howard can't believe that Ralph didn't like the movie. Ralph had some problems with the plot of the movie. He said Superman and Clark Kent disappear for 5 years and both show up on the same day. There's something wrong with that.
Ralph and Howard were arguing about some of the other problems with the movie. Ralph had a problem with the Superman outfit and how it was made and stuff like that. They were arguing over comic book stories. Howard said someone mentioned that Superman's real name, Kal-El, is actually Hebrew for ''Super One'' and pointed out that it was a bunch of Jews who came up with the Superman characters. Howard realized he was right.
Artie brought up how Ralph wasn't happy for Jon Hein after he found out that he had sold his web site for over a million bucks. Ralph said he doesn't give a fuck because it doesn't effect his life at all. He sounded very angry as he was talking about it so Howard talked to him about that whole thing. Ralph was complaining about how Jon's web site looked so bad that it's almost impossible to look at. They knew that was coming. Jon said the best comment Ralph made was when he asked him when he was going to leave his wife and kids.
Al Rosenberg called in and talked about the screening a little bit but Howard had to get going. He apologized to Al for making him move yesterday but Al didn't seem to mind. Al told Howard he was going to send him the bag he was carrying yesterday. Howard said he just wanted to know where he got the bag from and Al was ready to pass it over to Howard and give it away right there. Howard is afraid he'd have Al's bad luck if he took that bag from him. Howard said Al has a lot of bad luck. His wife died, he lost his niece in the World Trade Center attacks... Howard said the bag is evil and he doesn't want it.
Al said he's had that bag since about 1979 when he got into show business. It's all beat up but that's why it looks cool according to Ralph. Howard said Ralph used to run over his shoes with his jeep to make them look cool. He took them out back and ran them over until the soles were ripped off of them.
Scott the Engineer came in and said that Robin sounded kind of low and he wanted to make an adjustment. Gary came in and told Howard that Tony Stewart was up there hanging out with Scott a few weeks ago. Ever since then he's had nothing but bad luck in his NASCAR races. He said that Tony has had 3 accidents, a dislocated shoulder and he's now down to 6th place in the championship. That's the kind of black cloud that follows Scott around. Howard talked about the time Scott sat at a table at a casino they were at and made him lose. He had to go to break after that.

Spawn Creator Todd McFarlane Comes In. 2/9/99. 8:45am
This guy Todd McFarlane is the guy who recently paid $3 Million for Mark McGwire's 70th home run ball. Until yesterday he was trying to remain anonymous. A lot of newspapers were speculating that he was the buyer though. He came in this morning and showed off his balls.. baseballs that is. Todd has a total of 9 balls from various players. He has at least one of Sammy Sosa's home run balls and a few of McGwire's. He doesn't plan on selling any of them. He says he's going to send the balls out on tour to show them to baseball fans. Any money he makes from doing that will go to charity. He claims that he spent most of his life savings on that #70 ball but he's not looking to make anything back on it. He's got other income from his comic book creation ''Spawn.'' Todd used to draw the Spider-Man comics for Marvel Comics but when he changed the character's look they threatened to fire him. He then went off and started his own comic company. Now he's got the comics, a ''Spawn'' movie and HBO ''Spawn'' cartoons. He even directed the Pearl Jam video cartoon for ''Evolution.'' he also creates very detailed action figures which a lot of people enjoy. Ralph is one of those people so he came in to kiss Todd's ass for a few minutes. Todd pulled out an action figure of Howard that really impressed Howard. Todd said he wanted to get Howard to sign some licensing contract to put the figure out but I doubt that it'll happen. Howard said it was pretty amazing and he wants to buy it. Todd said he's got an Ozzy Osbourne doll coming out that comes complete with bats with their heads bitten off. Todd said that the third season for the HBO ''Spawn'' cartoon starts in May sometime.
''Spawn'' Creator Todd McFarlane Calls In. 9/26/01. 8:05am
Todd McFarlane purchased Mark McGwire's 70th home run ball in 1999 for $3 million. This guy Barry Bonds is about to break Mark's record so Howard wanted to find out how Todd feels about the possibility of his ball's value dropping. Todd didn't seem to be that upset about it when he called in. Howard said Todd seems to be happy to overpay for these baseballs. Howard wondered what Todd is going to do with all of these balls he's collected. Todd said he's got an exhibit that travels around the country showing off all of the balls he has.
Howard asked Todd if he's going to try and buy Barry Bonds' balls. Todd said he'll see what he can do about befriending Bonds and he may bid on the balls when they come up for auction. Howard seems to think that it's ridiculous to buy these balls because you could mix them all up and no one could tell them apart anyway. Todd creates these action figures of various cartoon characters and real people so Howard suggested that he create a Todd McFarlane doll that just burns money. Howard spent a couple of minutes with Todd goofing around with him before wrapping up the call.

In the clip Howard said he saw how much the re-release of Star Wars made over the weekend. He was shocked. Robin said Steve Grillo thinks it's great. Steve came in and told Howard that he has seen it over 100 times now. He said he used to watch it when he was home sick from school. He said when he's bored he watches it too. Robin said that Steve likes the new material they added to the movie. Howard said they added 3 minutes total to it. Steve said it's cool to see it in the movies. Howard said he's seen it already.
Howard told Steve to tell him how it was different. Steve said when they're in Mos Eisley they mapped out the city and they added scenes here and there. Howard told him to tell him exactly what they added. Grillo said they have new characters in the background and they added some scenes where the Stormtroopers are looking for the droids and things like that. He said there's a scene where they had Jabba the Hutt talking to Han Solo. Grillo said they have a scene with Luke and his old friends too. Howard said he has no idea what he's talking about. He said it's all hype. Howard said they made $36 million over the weekend.
Howard and the guys were goofing on Steve about the way he was talking. Howard said Steve has the movie memorized and he can recite scenes from the movie. Howard asked what his favorite scene is. Steve said it's probably when Luke gets pissed when his uncle tells him to go clean the droids. He did some of the lines from that scene and some others. Steve said he feels like a douche bag doing that. Howard said he is a douche.
Howard told Steve to recite more lines. Steve did some from the start of the movie. Howard told him to keep going but Steve said that's it. He said he didn't sit there saying he was going to remember it. He said it's just there.
Steve said there's an error in the movie too. He said when Luke comes back from blowing up the death star he yells out ''Carrie'' instead of Leia. Howard said you'd think they would have fixed that. Steve said that it's been that way since the movie was first released.
Howard asked Steve what it was like going to the movie. Steve said there were a lot of people wearing old t-shirts and stuff. He didn't do that himself. Stuttering John came in and said it was really douchy going there. He said people were cheering for the scenes. Steve said they would cheer Luke and boo Darth Vader.
Howard said that made him nuts that they did so well in the theaters. Howard said that Steve was telling him about the differences between the 3 movies. Steve also said that the new series is supposed to start in 1999. Howard said by the time the second one is released business will drop off and by the third no one will care. Steve said he agrees with him on that.
Howard told Grillo to get out of there. He said that seeing a movie 100 times doesn't make sense. He said that seeing it 5 time is too many.
After an edited out break Howard came back and took a call from a guy who said that Star Wars was such a waste of money. He said he got caught up in the hype. He said that it cost him $25 to go in. He said that it was just horrible. He said they added 3 minutes and it's such a waste. He said they have Return of the Jedi coming out the same day as Howard's movie. Howard said he doesn't care. He said he can beat them. Howard said the movie is testing higher than Forrest Gump.
Grillo came back and to defend himself. Howard let him do that for a short time and then took another call. The caller said that Howard has been bashing Star Wars all morning. He said he has to stop. Howard said this is all hype and that's all he's saying. The caller said that George Lucas told everyone that it was only 3 minutes of new material. Howard ended up hanging up on the guy. He said he knows a hype when he sees a hype.
Howard goofed on Grillo some more about the whole Star Wars thing. Steve said he likes the movie. He said he saw it a lot when he was a kid. Howard said he doesn't get it. Gary said he collects a bunch of Star Wars stuff too. Steve said he had Mark Hamill sign some stuff. Howard and Fred were doing their Grillo voices and goofing on him about all of this.
Mark Hamill Calls In. 8/1/00. 8:50am
Howard asked Mark what he thought of ''Star Wars Episode 1'' since he was in the first one. Mark wouldn't bad mouth it but he wasn't really saying anything good about it either. Howard thinks that it sucked so he was trying to get Mark to agree but he couldn't get him to do it. Mark said that his son was in the movie somewhere but he's not sure exactly where. He said that he was an extra and the way they turned 15 extras into 500 made it hard to find him in the film.
After a caller said that Mark had grabbed the ass of a 17 year old at Disneyland Howard started asking Mark about the size of his penis. Mark wasn't talking about it so Howard had him put his wife Marylou on the phone. Marylou wouldn't tell Howard just how big it was either but she did say that he was good in bed. After that Howard wrapped things up and reminded everyone that ''Son of the Beach'' airs at 10pm tonight.

Stump The Booey With Gary And Carl. 2/3/03. 7:55am
This guy Carl came in with his sister Allison to play ''Stump the Booey'' against Gary. Howard said Allison had a great body. He said she looked kind of like Carl but with a great body. Gary had her turn around to show Howard her ass. Howard told her she had to go into the bathroom and take her clothes off just in case Carl loses the game. Howard said he'd love to see her naked and asked her how large her breasts are. She said she's a 35 C and she wears size 4 pants. Howard asked her a few questions about her boyfriend and stuff like that. Howard asked her if she's completely shaved or not. She didn't want to answer that but Howard said they're going to find out if her brother loses. Howard heard that Allison was on the Montel Williams show a few years ago. She said she was in the audience though. Gary said he heard she was kicked out because she made some anti-Semitic remarks. She said that wasn't true though. That stuff was in the notes they had about them.
Howard sent Allison to the bathroom and told her she had to get completely naked. Howard told her that was Carl's fault and if she didn't get completely naked, he'd kick them out of there. Carl told her not to worry so she took her clothes off. Howard asked her if she wanted a drink or something to calm her down. She said it was a little early for that.
Howard got to the game once they got Allison's clothes. Howard explained the rules to Carl and got ready to play. Howard plays 5 songs and both Gary and Carl have to write down the name of the song and the artist that performed it. The songs are mostly from the 1980's.
The clothes eventually came out of the bathroom so Howard had KC check the bra size. KC said it was a 34 B even though she claimed it was a 35 C. Howard started the game a minute later. Here are the 5 songs and who got them correct:
Howard took a call from a woman who wants to play Gary in the game but she doesn't want to get naked. Howard told her that if she can find something to barter with, she can play. He put her on hold and told her to find someone to get naked or something.
Howard said that Allison isn't going to come out of the bathroom. She locked the door and said she wasn't coming out. Howard asked her to unlock it so they could talk to her on microphone. Howard told her she'd have to come out to get her clothes eventually. Howard told KC to confiscate the clothes and take them away so she wouldn't have any to sneak back on. She said she'd just wait until ten o'clock to get the clothes. Gary said he'd put him on his desk and wait until she came out. She ended up cursing and refused to come out. Howard told her she wasn't going to get out with her clothes until she comes out naked. She still argued that she was told she'd just be topless if he lost but Howard said that wasn't their fault, that was Carl's fault. Howard told Carl he could leave but his sister was staying in the bathroom because she welched on the bet. Howard said from now on they're going to make contestants come in with a $5000 cashier's check as well as the chick to get naked because of this. Howard and Robin told her they could leave her in there all night if that's what it takes. Stuttering John told Howard to just go in to use the bathroom but Howard said he doesn't do that. Howard said if Carl had won, they would have taken the $5000. She lost the bet and she was supposed to come out naked. Gary told Carl they'd eventually break her and she'd come out naked.
Howard took a few phone calls and let people complain about what Allison and Carl did to them. Howard had to take a break after that.
After the break Howard said that KC wasn't watching the door to the bathroom during the break and Allison escaped after wrapping toilet paper around herself. She ran and put her jacket on so no one would see her body. Howard had Carl back in and told him he was really pissed about what they'd done. Carl claims that he didn't plan on scamming Howard during this. Howard said after he saw her run out he knows why she didn't want anyone to see her body, she had cellulite on her legs. He kept getting more and more upset the more he talked about it. He even said that Allison had a ''butter face'' (Everything is good 'but her face'). Allison said Howard could say anything he wanted to about them, she didn't care. Howard said they have to change the rules to the game because of this debacle. He said that from now on when a woman comes in, they're going to stand her behind a sheet and if the contestant loses, they'll just drop the sheet. Howard got rid of them a short time later. Howard later said he was kind of upset that he called her names and pointed out the cellulite. Gary said it her attitude sucked and that didn't help things.
Hugh Jackman Visits. 04/30/09. 7:00am
After the break we heard The Who's ''Baba O'Reilly.'' Howard came back quickly and said that they had Hugh Jackman coming in. Howard told him that he loved the movie ''X-Men Origins: Wolverine.'' he said that everyone there was swooning over the guy.
Howard said he didn't know that Hugh was one of the producers on the movie. Hugh said he'd not getting anymore of the money than he would get as just being an actor. Hugh said he had he had the idea of the movie in his head for years so he wanted to be a producer.
Howard asked Hugh to drop his ''phony accent'' and just talk normal. That led to him asking him how he gets rid of it for the movies. Hugh said he has a speech coach that helps him out with that stuff. He said he has to learn his lines and figure out how to do the words. He said that the worst ones are the words with ''IGH'' in them. He said he had to re shoot some scenes that he screwed up some of the words in.
Hugh said that he hadn't even heard of the X-Men when he was growing up. Howard said he was a huge fan. Howard asked Hugh about how he wasn't the first choice for Wolverine. Hugh said that the original guy was Doug Ray Scott and he got Mission Impossible 2 at the time and he missed out on doing the part. Hugh said that the guy was too late and he ended up getting the part instead. He said he got hired 3 weeks into the shoot.
Howard said that the X-Men movies have been great and he thinks that he's great as Wolverine. Howard asked if he had to convince them that he could play the part because he had been doing so many musicals and things. Hugh said that he was actually a little tall for the part because the character in the comic books was only 5'3'' tall. He said that he was small but ferocious.
Howard asked Hugh about his work out routine because he can never get the size that Hugh gets. Howard said he gets titties and a belly if he gains any weight. Hugh said that you have to eat a ridiculous amount when you work out. Howard said things are different for him than they are for Hugh.
Hugh said that he has a guy he works out with and he was working out 6 days a week. He was doing an hour and a half in the morning and a half hour in the afternoon. He said it was very intense though. Robin didn't think it was that much.
Howard asked Hugh how much he was bench pressing. He said that he was doing 300 pounds but only 3 or 4 reps. He said that you do less weight and faster reps later on.
Howard asked Hugh about getting naked for the movies and how he doesn't seem to be afraid to show his penis. Hugh said that he got a bag full of the film that had shots of his dick in it for a gift when the film wrapped. Howard asked if his penis is a good size. Hugh said that he thinks it's pretty good sized.
Howard asked if he's okay with showing it because it's pretty big. Hugh said that it's fine and said that it's probably over 6 inches. Hugh said that he does think about the scene but they will want to tape things on to him and he'd just rather be nude.
Howard said he would never be on a movie naked because he's pretty small when he's not hard. Howard said it does grow a little bit but it's pretty small most of the time.
Howard said that having a big penis must be great. Hugh said that everything is fine with him. There have been no complaints from his wife.
Hugh said that he was only 155 pounds in high school and they used to call him ''sticks'' because he was so thin. In the movie he was another 10-15 pounds heaver and he was eating 5000 calories a day to maintain that.
Howard asked Hugh about his background because he was reading that in the first 18 months of his life his mother wasn't there for him. His mother was depressed. Then she came home and stayed for another 6 years and then spilt town. Hugh said that she went to England and he only saw her once a year. Howard said he must have been completely screwed in the head from that. Hugh said that it was pretty bad. He said he felt a bit weird, almost like a leper.
Hugh said that there are six kids in the family and he's spoken to his mother about it and she'd say that it was like she was a different person back then. She freaked out and left. Hugh said he has two kids himself and he can understand that now.
Howard asked why she went to England. Hugh said that she went to look after her own mom and thought she was going to come back. She ended up staying with her mom and took care of her for a while. She said that she ended up getting married to another guy over there.
Howard asked Hugh if he wants attention because his mother wasn't there to look after him. Hugh said that Bono once said that anyone who has to go on stage in front of 70,000 people to get attention must have something wrong with them.
Hugh said that he sees his mother all the time now. He said that they've worked everything out since then. He said that things got better once he had kids of his own. Hugh said that the day she left he felt something was wrong. Then his brothers and sisters came home and he asked where mom was. He said he thought she was in England and his dad sent him to his room. Then his father went in and got the note that she left on the bed and said that he was right. Hugh said he and his mother had that connection where he knew that something was wrong.
Howard asked if his mom and dad had marriage problems. Hugh said that they probably shouldn't have gotten married but she did have some mental issues and she ended up in the hospital for about a year or so.
Hugh told Howard about how he met his wife in a movie and how he had wanted to get married within just weeks but held it off for months. He said that he invited her to meet his father and he asked his dad if he though that it was a paternal thing that he fell for her so quickly. His father was thinking that he might be going to fast with her because it happened so fast.
Howard asked Hugh about how many chicks he got to bang before his wife. Hugh said that he got his share of women. He said he didn't start until he was about 18. He said that his father was full on Christian and he had the fear of god in him so he held off on doing anything for a while.
Howard said that Hugh could have gotten to bang teachers. Hugh said there were some he wanted to but he didn't get to do any. He said that he thought about Mrs. Pennington.
Howard asked Hugh about Halle Berry walking around nude on the set of Swordfish. Hugh talked about that and how they kept canceling the shoot. He said that she was comfortable naked after the three days.
Howard asked Hugh if he thinks about all of the chicks that he could get now. He said that his wife is hot but he could be getting more. Hugh said that he loves his wife and he doesn't think that he'd be able to do other women. He said he has been attracted to others though.
Howard asked about Halle Berry and how hot she was. Hugh said that she was really beautiful in person. Howard said that Hugh is way into his wife. Hugh said that he and Deb talk about how hot women look to him and his wife will say ''I know'' when he brings up how hot someone is.
Hugh said that there's one scene in Swordfish where they shot a scene with John Travolta and Halle Berry. He said that they were doing a rehearsal with John where he comes in and finds them in bed together. John did the rehearsal and said ''Holy shit look at the body on that girl!'' That wasn't his line but he just let it out because that's what everyone was thinking.
Howard asked Hugh if he's still friendly with John Travolta. Hugh said that they are and he did send a letter to him about the death of his son and he just heard from him recently that he's just now getting back to people after trying to get through the tough times.
Howard asked Hugh if he gets a boner when he's doing love scenes. Hugh said that he does get a halfie once in a while.
Howard said that he got hard when he was doing the scenes with his movie wife. Howard said that he loved it too.
Hugh said that he did a love scene with his wife's best buddy and that was really weird. Howard said that he knows of people who have demanded penetration in scenes. Howard said she thought that it was going to be more real if they did that.
Howard said he loved this Wolverine movie. He said that the whole movie was good and they had great people in it with him. Howard said that they had people like Liev Schreiber. Howard talked to him about some of the cool scenes in the movie and how they shot some of that stuff.
Howard read that Hugh turned down the role of the Hulk but Hugh said that's not true. He said that he wished he had taken the role in Chicago that Richard Gere had taken. He said that he actually told them that they should go with him and now he regrets not taking it.
Howard asked Hugh if he has a lot of people who think that he's gay because of the roles he's had where he's played a gay man. Hugh said that he had someone yell out in a play that he shouldn't kiss a guy in a scene. He said that the guy yelled out ''Don't do it Wolverine!''
Hugh said that it's not a big deal in most of the world but it turns into a big deal here in the U.S. Hugh said that it's rare to have anyone say anything to him.
Howard asked Hugh if he got nervous before doing the Oscars. He said he was nervous about 6 weeks before. He said that about 10 years ago he got really nervous when he had to do the national anthem in front of a stadium. He said that he got really nervous before that. After that he's never really had a problem performing in front of a big crowd. Howard said he would shit his pants if he had to do stuff like that.
Howard read that Hugh has OCD and asked him about that. Hugh said that it was much worse about 10 years ago than it is now. He said he used to have to tap his knee like 5 times. Hugh said that meditation has helped him out with all of that. He's into the same Transcendental Meditation that Howard is into. Hugh said that he started doing that 15 years ago.
Howard said he's been doing that TM thing for 37 years now. He told Hugh about the concert he was at recently and how he was there for that. Hugh told Howard how he got started in it as well.
Howard asked Hugh where he lives. Hugh said he lives in the West Village now and he just spent a big chunk of change there. Howard said he has to go down and check that place out. Howard said that he could bang Robin there to prove that he's not gay too.
Hugh said that his wife has many ways to spend their money. Howard said that he and Hugh actually had drinks together one night when they went out with John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn. Hugh said that he was sad for them but it wasn't that big of a surprise.
Howard found out that Hugh was going to be going to see Oprah Winfrey too. He asked him to say hi to Gayle King for him since he knows her. Hugh talked about talking to Oprah and how the first question she'll ask is ''what's the most important thing in the world to you?'' Howard said he should tell her that she should calm down with that when she's not on the air.
Howard asked Hugh if he smokes weed. Hugh said that he used to when he was younger but not anymore. He went on to talk about the Oprah thing and how she just stopped this dinner party and told everyone to stop because they were having the greatest conversation in the world. She made him tell everyone what they were talking about.
Howard said that's weird behavior and she has to be the center of attention all the time. Hugh said he doesn't think that she's that calculating. He said that she's just interested in people and that's the way she handles it. Howard asked Hugh to say hi to Oprah and told him to let her know that they could have some great conversations if they ever got to sit down and talk.
Howard said that the biggest interview they ever had was Paul McCartney. Hugh asked him if he had anything that he wasn't allowed to talk about with him. Howard told him that they don't have guests like that on this show.
Howard told Hugh about how he had a caller tell him that he had gotten a copy of the movie on DVD before it was done. He said that the movie studio found out about it and asked him not to watch it. Howard said that the movie companies could go bankrupt because of this internet stuff getting out there. Howard said the movie business is the coolest out there and he doesn't want to see that happen.
Howard said that the movie was great and he really enjoyed it. Hugh said that he had to get going over to Good Morning America after this and he was going from Howard Stern to Diane Sawyer. He joked that she'll have the same questions for him.
Hugh said that he's seen fans out there who are saying they didn't download the movie because they want to see it in the theaters. He said they gave a guy tickets to the premiere because they saw the guy holding a sign up saying that he was going to wait until Saturday to see it.
Howard told Hugh to ask Diane Sawyer if she's wearing panties this morning. Robin said that would go over very well.
Howard asked Hugh if that hair on his head was real. Hugh said it is. Howard asked if he ever looks in the mirror and is just amazed at how good he looks. Hugh said that he never does that. He said he's been lucky with the way he looks. He said he never needed braces or anything.
Howard told Hugh about how he runs a lot and Hugh told him that's a waste of energy. He said that if you're a sprinter then you're good. He said that anyone who runs long distances is going to be too skinny. He said as long as you feel good then it's all good.
Howard wished Hugh luck with the new movie and said he hopes it all works out. He said that it was a great movie and a great script. He said the movie, ''X-Men Origins: Wolverine,'' opens this week all over the country. They had to go to break a short time later.
In the clip Robin was reading a news story about how Green Lantern came out a couple of issues ago. Howard said he hasn't kept up with that. He said Green Lantern is a black guy too. Robin didn't know that. Robin said that he came out back in 2001. Howard said he always looked gay. Robin said that they are going to have a story line about a gay teen that gets gay bashed and Green Lantern is going to come to the rescue.
Howard said he never thought he'd see a gay Green Lantern. Robin said there are some lesbians in the comics too. Howard said Homo Hulk is next. He said he doesn't think that Green Lantern is really gay. He said he's a black dude who is with chicks. Howard said he really doesn't think he can be gay.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he's into Green Lantern and he had no idea he was gay. Howard took another call from a guy who said that the black Green Lantern was paralyzed. He said the new one isn't black and he's not gay. It's his assistant that's gay. Robin said she didn't realize that. Howard said he's just hanging out with gay people. Artie said he's just tolerant.
The Super Hero Game. 9/11/03. 9:00am
A listener called in and asked Artie what he was wearing on the E! show last night. He was wearing some pink pants or something like that. Artie said he dresses himself so that's why he looks so bad. Another caller asked Howard when the shot of Robin's camel toe is going to be on the E! show. Howard asked Robin Radzinski to come in so he could find out when that will air. She said they haven't scheduled it to air yet. The caller also asked to play this game Howard had set up.
Gary came in and said they have the real names of super heroes and the player has to guess what super hero it belongs to. They gave some examples like:
Howard heard that their intern Keri was a super hero genius so he brought her in to talk to her. Howard had Gary give her a name so she could guess. Gary gave her the name Eel O'Brien. Keri said it was Plastic Man and got it right. Gary gave them another one, Tony Stark, and Howard guessed it was Iron Man and got it right. Gary gave them James Howlin AKA Logan. Howard guessed it was the Human Torch but it was actually Wolverine which Keri guessed correctly. Gary gave them John Jones and Keri said it was The Martian Manhunter... right again. Howard sounded pretty impressed with her knowledge of comic book heroes. Howard said she might be his soul mate. Gary gave them another one, Benjamin Grimm, and Howard got it right with The Thing. Keri was stumped when Gary gave her Arthur Curry. Howard didn't know it either but it was Aqua Man. Carter Hall was next up and Keri didn't know that one either. Howard tried to figure it out but couldn't. It turned out to be Hawk Man. Keri said she's not into that character. Gary said he didn't know who Dick Grayson was but Howard and even Robin knew it was Robin of Bat Man and Robin.
Howard told Keri how hot she was and how turned on he was after hearing about her comic book collection. He asked her some questions about her comic books while he made a sound effect like he was whacking off. He was grunting and moaning as he grabbed his cheek and slapped it back and forth making it sound like he was spanking his monkey. Howard would ask her a question about a comic book character and when she'd know the answer, he's groan some more. He told her to stay away from him because he might not be able to control himself.
Howard said he went soft when he asked Keri about what red Kryptonite does to Superman. She wasn't sure so Howard said he went soft. He asked her some other questions and she knows quite a bit. They talked a lot about Superman and Bat Man during these discussions. Howard had to take another break shortly after that.
Ralph's Star Trek Quiz. 10/5/01. 9:00am
Howard's buddy Ralph came in this morning with a Star Trek quiz for Howard to take. Howard kept Jon Hein around to talk about some more ''Jump the Shark'' stuff too. Howard said this quiz would show just how much of a geek he really is. Ralph had about 50 questions and sound clips for Howard to guess at. Howard knew almost every question and sound clip that Ralph had for him. Even Robin knew most of the answers to the questions but Howard pulled ahead of her when he was able to name most of the sound clips. Ralph ripped through most of the questions pretty quick so I can't list them all here. I will give you a few examples of the stuff Howard knew about though...
Howard moved on to talk to Jon Hein about some more Jump the Shark stuff. They talked about a couple of actors who have jumped the shark and also about some bands and when they jumped. Someone asked if there were any shows that never jumped the shark. Jon said that there are some that people say never jumped but most of them were only on for a short time. A few examples were:

Howard's ''Thor'' Review And More Osama Discussions. 05/02/11. 6:45am
Various Phone Calls. 10/05/05. 7:20am
Howard said that his friend Pat and his wife just gave birth to their first child so he spent a short time on that subject. He also mentioned that Nicolas Cage just had a kid and they gave the kid a weird name. Howard said it's actually a great name and explained how Nicolas is a comic book fan and named his son Kal-El. He thinks that's cool but Gary and Robin said it's not cool in any way you look at it. The guys talked about how there are a lot of people who want to give their kids weird names. Fred told Howard that Nicolas Cage's last name is actually from a musician's name because his real last name is Coppola. Howard thinks that Nic should change his name to Jorel.
In the clip Howard was talking about the origin of Superman and how he got there and all of that. Howard said he has to get a pro in there to explain where the rest of the Superboy and Supergirl and all of them came from. Howard explained it as he knew it. He explained how he got people out of the bottle that contained Kandor. Jackie was in on the conversation and agreed with some of what Howard was saying.
Gary told Howard that he could get an expert on the show. Howard said they want to know where these other characters came from. Howard said he wants to know about the monkey, the horse and the boy. He said he'd like to know about Kandor and all of that.
Gary had a list of quiz questions about Superman that he read to Howard. Howard and the guys knew a lot but weren't able to answer all of the questions.
Howard's Top 5 Comic Book Characters. 3/8/00. 8:05am
Howard and the crew were talking a little bit about game shows once again but the subject changed when Howard took a strange call from a woman who owns a comic book store in upstate New York. She mentioned some weird comic book character and Howard started talking about his favorites. He had no interest in the characters she was talking about. He said he likes most of the superhero comics like Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, The Flash, Green Lantern and others. He said he doesn't like Aquaman, Atom or anything like Archie, Casper or army comics. He then said he'd give his top 5 favorites. Here they are:
Riley Martin Show And Gary Garver Interview Clips. 06/13/07. 6:20am
Howard said that Riley Martin was on last night so he was listening to some clips this morning. He said Riley was talking about how the aliens were responsible for the black outs in New York City in the past. He played a clip of Riley and his on-air partner talking about how the aliens can show their power. Howard stopped the tape and said it sounds like the guy he has on the air with him is a different one each time he's on the air. Robin said that guy does sound different than the last time they listened.
Howard continued to play the clip where Riley talks about the power that the aliens have and how they've caused the black outs in New York City when they knocked out the power with their power flux line or something like that. He said the aliens could do that to the whole world if they wanted to but they haven't done that so far.
Howard and the guys goofed on Riley's pronunciation of a few words. Howard said they really love their science fiction stories. He said that Gary Garver went out to a Star Wars convention and got some interviews. He had Gary get Gary Garver on the phone so he could talk to him about that. Garver interviewed one guy who stayed in his helmet while he was being interviewed. He was muffled and could barely hear Garver's questions. Garver asked him what character he was playing and if he had picked up any girls in his costume. The guy claimed he had.
Howard played another clip where Garver asked another character, Darth Nihilus, about his character and then asked him if he lives at home with his mother. He also asked him if he feels gay for being into Star Wars. The guy started to get angry with the questions and asked Gary the same things. The guy said that Garver was acting like an asshole. Garver shot back at him saying he was an asshole for dressing the way he did. Howard told him that maybe he shouldn't goof on people and just interview them. Baba Booey told Howard that the character was from a video game, not even from one of the movies.
Howard played another clip where Garver interviewed another guy in a mask. The guy didn't like the line of questioning and told Gary that they were retarded. The guy walked away from him after a couple of questions that he didn't like. Garver said that the guy was dressed up like one of those Stormtroopers. Howard said that he should just let the people answer their questions instead of goofing on them the way he was. He wouldn't even let the people answer anything without goofing on them. Howard told Gary he's really not better than these people because he's done some strange things in his life as well. They brought up how his ex-wife was saying that he was stalking her. Garver said that wasn't true and he never did that. He said he wasn't stalking her, he was just talking to her.
Howard and the guys talked to Garver about the bible passages he was writing out and how odd that was. Garver said he was doing that for himself, not for his ex-wife. He was going through some tough times back then. He hasn't been going to church that much these days but he still reads the bible. They were saying that Garver is a really angry guy but Garver claims he's not. Howard said that a lot of angry guys read the bible like that. Garver insisted that he's not angry. Then they brought up how he beat up his brother out in Las Vegas one time. Garver explained that and said he deserved it. Howard told Garver that he should probably study the way of the Jedi to keep himself calm. Garver said he likes Star Trek better so that probably won't happen.
Fred told a story about how his brother used to beat him up when he was a kid. Howard told him to go beat him up now since he boxes as a hobby these days. Fred said he thinks they're too old for that now. Gary (Baba) also had a story to tell about seeing a fight one time between a couple of sisters. He said it was a full on, hair pulling fight.
Gary told Howard that the one guy they had just listened to was this character Jango Fett (he was saying Jingo) so Howard spent a couple of minutes going over that. Richard came in and told them some stories about how Jango is the father of Boba Fett and filled them in on the details. He also said that the character Darth Nihilus in that video game doesn't even talk, he just makes a series of noises. Artie said it would be great if they had a Howard Stern Convention where the fans dress up as the characters from the show. They mentioned some of the names of the people who have been mentioned on the show over the years and how the more obscure they are, the cooler they'd be. Howard said it would be great if there were like 30,000 Howard's and only one JD.
The guys threw around names like Dead Air Dave and Andre who were the guys who pushed the delay button over the years. There was Luis the Board Op, Cabbie, Bucky, Tom Chiusano, Kathy Tobin. Artie said that someone could be Gary Garver.
Richard asked Garver how many people have signed up on his web site. He said he's got about 5 subscribers right now. He said that it's only $5 a month so it's not all that bad. He's got video clips up there and he had Blue Iris on recently. He said he's had Penthouse Pet Charlie Lane on with him and she's going to be co-hosting the show with him soon. He said the shows are put up for free over there. He's got other exclusive clips of his interviews there for the paid subscribers.
Richard said that Gary should just fight people on there because he's so angry. Garver asked why they think he's so angry. Howard said that he was antagonizing those guys so he could have just let them be. Howard gave Gary a plug for his web site GaryGarver.com and let him go.
A Howard Stern Convention? 06/13/07. 6:40am
Howard talked more about the characters that he could play at the Howard Stern Convention and mentioned the name of a guy who was on the show with his dead, stuffed daughter one time, Anthony Zipper. Robin said that she could go as Bo the Lesbian. Howard said that he could also be Shirley from GodHatesFags.com's 8 year old son. Then he said he could go as Robin's ex-assistant Kerry. Robin didn't even remember her even though she wasn't gone that long. Howard was doing impressions of these people as if they were in masks. He was covering his mouth with his hand making it sound like he was muffled in the mask. He said that he could be the character of the woman who gave Robin her colonic. Artie said that he could go as Lonnie from Scores. Howard also threw in the name of the Jesus Twins' manager, Jonathan Mendelssohn as being one of those really obscure characters from the show. Howard said he could be Cindy Margolis' friend (Elisa) whose name he didn't know. There were other names like Johnny Mud Mudman, Bobby Badfingers, Beetlejuice's sister, Beetljuice's mother and more.
Doug Goodstein came in and said they could put together something for Howard TV and actually have this convention. Howard said they might have to do it. Robin said that they could have the people like Beetlejuice show up for autograph sessions. Howard told Artie to be Ed Torian the lie detector guy. Howard said he might have to be the guy who does the Oprah Winfrey Negro Woman from the South thing. Robin said she could be that woman who cries and asks to be a star. Gary said he tried to get a hold of her but her number has been disconnected.
Howard threw out more names like Yaqi the Tickler, Dan the Song Parody Man and some others. He said he'll have to think about having that convention. He had to go to break after that.

Wolfie Interviews From Comic-Con. 06/16/10. 6:00am
Howard started the show talking about how he was listening to some clips of Wolfie going to Comic-Con and doing some interviews. Gary said the one he was at was in Philly. The main one was in San Diego. Howard said there are a lot of nerds at these things. Howard said there are nerds that like comics and a lot of celebrities who charge money to be seen.
Howard said Gary was watching some of it and a woman wanted to see Christopher Knight and had to negotiate to get in to see him. Howard said it's the same thing with Captain Kirk to get in to see him. He charges a fortune. Howard said to some people it's their life to get to see these people. He'd feel weird charging people to see him though. Howard said there are plenty of people who will pay but it's just sad.
Robin said that they have everything at these conventions now. She said that it's huge. Howard said he used to get why Kirk would charge people but now he's been on some hit TV shows and made a ton of money but he's still charging outrageous prices. Howard said there are certain things you don't want to get into. He said he has to talk to Shatner about it. Robin said she's not sure he even likes doing those events. She said he may not think it's a great thing as an artist.
Howard said they didn't really interview any celebrities. They just interviewed the attendees there. Howard played a clip of Wolfie interviewing a guy about why he was there and what he was dressed as. Howard said these guys aren't young either. They're in their 30s and 40s. In this clip the nerd being interviewed was asked if he had ever masturbated to a character he liked. He didn't answer. He lives at home but he's only 19. Howard said he thinks he might be living there for a while.
Wolfie interviewed another guy asking him who the most recent famous guy was that he had met. The guy said it was Bobby Clark from the original Star Trek. Howard didn't even know who he was referring to. Howard said he thought he knew something about the show but he didn't recognize that character. Robin saw a picture of the character they were talking about. It was that lizard thing that they did in an episode. He was the leader of the Gorn. Howard remembered who it was. He said he was in an outfit. He had to have been a stunt man because he didn't say a word and he was covered in that costume.
Gary said they have an interview with Bobby Clark and he didn't pull it because he didn't think he was anyone. Howard told him to pull it. Robin said that they episode is considered a classic because it was so good. Howard said he thought it was a good one. He didn't know who played that character though.
Gary said he couldn't believe they were making a big deal out of this guy from being in one episode. Howard remembered some of the episode and how Kirk and the Gorn became pals. That's what he thought anyway. Howard said he read that Bobby Clark was also an extra in some other episodes. He wasn't in his costume in those though.
Scott the Engineer came in and told Howard he was right about the episode when he said that Kirk and the Gorn became friends. He told Howard more about that episode to remind him about what happened. Howard said he remembers that episode and it was a great one.
Wolfie asked that same guy what comic book character would be the best for solving the oil leak in the gulf. The guy had an answer immediately. Howard knew who the guy was talking about. It was Prince Naymore or something like that. Howard explained who he was and remembered reading those comic books. He said he's not sure how he got them though. He said they didn't come from his cousin because Prince Naymore was Marvel and his cousin didn't work there.
Howard played more of the interview and the guy revealed he was 46 years old. He was telling Wolfie about other characters.
Howard took a call from a guy who said that they're going to try and make a Submariner movie and they're trying to get David Borianis to play Prince Naymore. Howard and the caller spent a minute talking about that. They gave the history of the character and talked about how he had wings on his feet and stuff like that. The caller said there was a web site that listed all of the comic book character's religious backgrounds. He said that Superman was Presbyterian. Howard let the caller go a short time later.
Howard got back to the 46 year old Comic-Con guy and played more of his interview. Howard said he's not sure what he would do if his kid was 46 and doing this stuff. He said he would have the comic book thing in common but he would never let him go to Comic-Con.
Howard played another clip of Wolfie interviewing a guy dressed as Darth Nihilus. The guy explained who the character was and how he came about. Wolfie said he had met another guy dressed as Darth Nihilus there too. The guy, who had a mask on and was hard to hear, was telling Wolfie about how big of a fan he is of the character. He said he was from the 501st but Howard had no idea what that was.
Howard said the best interview was when Gary Garver interviewed a Darth Nihilus fan. He played that interview too. Garver ended up getting upset with the guy was kind of mean to him. Howard said he would have liked to have known more about that guy.
Howard played a prank call that Sal and Richard made to a mental health place with clips of the Darth Nihilus guy. They put this woman on the phone with the Darth Nihilus character clips and had her trying to help him out.
Howard played another interview that Wolfie did. In this one the guy said he was dressed up as some character and he may have made it up himself. He's with the group the New York Jedi. The guy said he's in a group that does staged light saber fights. Wolfie asked how many hours he puts into that. The guy said it's no more than 4 hours. They do have classes they teach though. They do that in New York twice a week. Wolfie asked if he would have skills to defend himself if he took this class. The guy said that he probably wouldn't.
Richie Wilson came in and said that Howard has to see these guys because they walk around in brown robes and stuff. If they walk to a store they wave their hands in front of the automatic door so it looks like they're using the force to open them. Howard said that's the greatest. He said he's not sure what he'd do if he saw that.
Howard played more of the interview with the Jedi guy. Howard said it sounds like this guy is doing what Under Dog Lady does with her interpretive dance. Howard said Steve Jobs should come up with an Apple light saber that looks really real. Howard figured these guys must do weird things with their light sabers like sticking them up their ass.
Wolfie asked the guy if he had ever masturbated to any characters he's into. The guy said he had. The guy named some people like Bat Girl that he had masturbated to. Super Girl was another one he had masturbated to.
Wolfie asked who this guy didn't want to see there. He mentioned Patrick Stewart because he was too expensive to see. Howard said that kind of sucks. You'd like to think that he's better than that. He said these people are mental and living at home and they're paying $100 to see Patrick Stewart. Howard said he hopes he talks to them about Star Trek. Gary said Jason was saying that some of the guys make a living just doing this. If they don't get autographs then they're broke. Howard said he's fine with the people who do that for a living but the guys who work regularly shouldn't be doing it. He said that Shatner and Patrick Stewart shouldn't be charging extra.
Howard said he can see Christopher Knight charging 20 bucks for an autograph. He said that guy should be able to do that because he didn't work a lot.
Howard talked about Butch Patrick and what he went through as Eddie Munster. Howard said he makes a living doing those conventions. He said he had a phase where he was kind of a teen idol. He said he went off and did some movie in Europe or something and that was kind of weird. He said now he goes to these events and charges for autographs. Robin said he has a change maker thing on his belt so he can make change. Howard said he thought those things were pretty cool. He said they had all of the change in a thing on their belt. He wondered if they still make those things.
Gary came in and said he could get one of those change tings on eBay in a second. Howard wondered why the ice cream man would need one of those things. Gary said he needed his hands free.
Gary said Jason went to Comic-Con there in New York last year and they met people like Jon Schneider there. They get a lot of adoration there at those events. Gary said Jon saw the woman who was on Flash Gordon many years ago there and she used to be hot. She wasn't so hot last year and not one person stopped at her booth to get an autograph.
Howard played more of Wolfie's interview with this guy who was talking about his favorite female characters. They also talked about super powers. The nerdy guy said he was very nervous when he got Corey Feldman's autograph. He said he had spent thousands on this hobby of his.
Today's Geek Week was over around 10:50am.

JJ Abrams Visits. 06/14/11. 8:10am
After the break Howard came right back and got JJ Abrams in the studio. JJ thought that he had never sat on the couch in there but Robin said he had. He was very nervous sitting there. Robin asked if he's been nervous on set before. JJ said there have been times that he has been.
Howard asked JJ if he's like a photographer that understands the visuals. JJ said that he thinks he knows what he wants when he gets there but then he changes his mind and sometimes figures you can't do it that way. He said you have to figure it out and not look like you don't know what you're doing.
Howard asked JJ about going on set and shooting maybe half a page a day. JJ said sometimes you can shoot a few pages a day. JJ told Howard he used to read about special effects and he knows how to tell the guys what he wants. He said in Super 8 he didn't storyboard the train crash. He said he just wanted to go there and work it out on the spot. He said he told the special effects guys what he wanted to do and he did it by the seat of his pants. Howard asked if he shoots it from every angle. JJ said they had some kids who had never done this kind of thing before. He said they had the time of their lives.
JJ said that the main kid in the movie had never been on the set of a movie before. He said the kid asked if the stars on the script were for decoration. They were marking the changes in the script. He said he loved that. JJ said the kid was great but he really didn't know what it was like on the set.
Howard said a lot of the kids have parents who push their kids into this stuff. JJ said they didn't want stage parents. He said the main kid they got lives in Idaho. He said that the parents weren't stage parents and they were just nice, sweet people.
JJ said they had this acting teacher tell them about this kid who was taking classes once a month and that's the kid they went with.
Howard said that a lot of kids don't go anywhere after doing a movie like this. Howard asked what they have to pay these kids. JJ said he's not sure. Howard asked if he can make $600,000. JJ said that's a little high. He said it might be $100,000 or so. He said this is their first shot in a movie so they're not going to make a lot.
Howard asked JJ about the movie taking so long to make and how he had to push off Star Trek 2. JJ said they're about 6 months behind on that one. JJ said they haven't finished the script yet. Howard asked if the studio is upset that he has so many things in the works. He has a couple of new TV shows in the works and he has this Super 8 movie. Howard asked if he's making a money grab or is he serious. JJ said the TV shows are just under his production company. He said that he didn't write them. JJ told Howard about who wrote them and how he has helped with the stories and things like that.
Howard asked JJ about his office and if he has it filled with toys. JJ said he does. He said Howard should come over and check it out. Howard asked what he has in his office. JJ said he has stuff he had when he was a kid. He said he has Twilight Zone toys and Planet of the Apes masks and things like that.
Howard said he has to remain child like to be a good director. He said he thinks that Spielberg was like that but he threw away all of his toys. JJ said you don't want to be child like. He told Howard he has to come and hang out to see what it's like. He said you don't stay child like, you just want to believe that anything is possible.
Howard said as a kid JJ had an advantage of having a father who was a TV movie producer. Howard said when you grow up in a family like that you see how films are made and it's not so intimidating to do it. Howard said you have to be exposed to all of this stuff at a young age to know how to do it. He said that's what this book ''10,000 Hours'' is about.
JJ said that Steven Spielberg made movies as a kid and they were good. He said that he had access to express himself and make movies and you don't need all of that to make movies. He said that he did get to visit the set though so he did get to see some TV Shows being made. Howard asked what his father did. JJ said his father produced TV movies of the week. He said he did one called ''Ski Lift to Death'' with Don Johnson in it.
Howard asked if his father is still doing that. JJ said his father is still doing it even though they don't do it that much. Howard said JJ has surpassed his father in every single way. He asked how hard that makes it for him. JJ said his father is still working and he's very happy for him.
Howard asked if his dad would tell him to shut up if he said he wanted to make movies as a kid. JJ said his dad wasn't like Howard's dad. He didn't tell him to shut up.
Howard asked JJ when he knew he had made it and he could tell his father he has surpassed him and that he's nothing. JJ said he was in college and he was lucky enough to sell a treatment to someone at Disney. He said it was a movie called ''Taking Care of Business'' and he ended up with John Belushi and Charles Grodin. That wasn't a success but they did the best they could. He said that he was willing to take anything at that point. He said that was his senior year of college so he was lucky to have gotten that out there.
Howard asked about selling it and if he opened an office. JJ said he had a trailer on the set of Disney and he got a discount at Disneyland. He said he wrote a script called ''Regarding Henry'' next. That was with Harrison Ford. Howard asked if he went in and pitched that Harrison Ford becomes a retard. JJ said he just wrote the script and someone read it and it was sold.
Howard asked if it's true that Spielberg bought into Super 8 just based on the title. JJ said he has gotten to know Steven over the years and he called him and told him about it and he bought into it. Howard said at 15 JJ was working for Steven. JJ said he was making movies at the age of 15 and he was watching a TV show where they talked about making movies. He said he called into this show and got invited on. He said he met some other guys who eventually got him into this job where he was asked to help repair movies that Steven had made when he was their age. JJ said he thought that was insane. He said there are no copies of the movie so he was entrusting 15 year old strangers to work on them. JJ said it makes no sense at all. He said he got paid $300 to repair the two movies. He said one was ''Firelight'' and the other was ''Escape to Nowhere.'' He said he spent about a month working on them. JJ said that they had to buy some editing equipment to work on it. He said he never met Steven at that time. He said all they were doing was repairing the splicing on the movies.
Howard asked JJ if he's more of a writer than a director. JJ said he doesn't consider himself a writer. He thinks of himself as a director. He said he does write but he thinks he's more of a director. Howard said he even composes music. JJ said he does all of that but he's not great at it. He won an award for the Lost theme but that's just one note. Howard asked JJ if he has texted pictures of his penis to young girls. JJ said he has not done that.
Howard asked when he met Spielberg. JJ said he met him in 1999. He said that Spielberg wanted to do a sequel for Roger Rabbit and he was called into a meeting. Howard said that must have been his hero. Howard said he must have looked up to him. JJ said it must be weird for Howard to have no one to look up to and he's the one that everyone looks up to.
Howard asked JJ if he shit his pants when he met Spielberg. JJ said he remembers calling his buddy Matt on his way home from the meeting freaking out about the whole thing. He said he had no idea where he was driving when he called his friend on his giant cell phone. JJ said he didn't get the job working on Roger Rabbit but he got to meet with Spielberg. JJ said that Spielberg had 3 other people in the room when he met him. Howard asked if he called him Steve or Steven or Mr. Spielberg. JJ said he's pretty sure he called him Mr. Spielberg.
Howard asked how he got to do more with Spielberg. JJ said he did some writing for the Casper movie and when they did War of the Worlds he had them come over to help write. He said he was doing the Lost pilot at the time so he had to turn that down.
Howard asked what he's doing on this new Mission Impossible movie. JJ said he's producing that one. Howard said he must be raking in the bucks. JJ said ''Oh please...'' Howard said he has to be doing very well but JJ was making it sound like he's not doing so well. JJ said there are times that you feel like you're at the top of the world. He said there are times when the TV shows don't do well and you're just one gig away from failing.
Howard said JJ did Felicity and then he did Lost. He said he has Fringe as well. He has two new ones coming out and he's working on Mission Impossible and the Star Trek franchise. Howard said he figured he was worth a lot of money. JJ said when a TV show fails it's heartbreaking. He said that he had Under Cover and that failed. JJ said he didn't work on the script enough. Howard asked if he was spread too thin. JJ said maybe he was.
Howard asked if he's a workaholic. JJ said he is but he spends a lot of time with the kids. He said he's not an absentee dad. Howard asked if he's always thinking of story lines and ideas. JJ said that he does that a lot.
Howard asked what he does when he comes up with an idea like Super 8. JJ said he just thought of the world of it at first. He said he had a concept and called Steven about that. He said he knew that he had done that. He said he called him and asked if he would like to produce a movie with him called Super 8. He said yes without any idea of what it was going to be about. Howard asked if he goes to his house. JJ said he does and he goes over as much as he can because his house is amazing. Howard asked if he's still making movies. JJ said he has two movies coming out this winter. He said one is animated. He said he's doing a couple of others too. He said it's insane what he has coming out.
Howard asked if his dad begs him to introduce him to Spielberg. JJ said he has introduced them but his dad didn't beg.
JJ told Howard about a party he went to at Spielberg's house and Mickey Rooney was there. Howard said he would have left if he was there. JJ said that Mickey told stories about how he had named Marilyn Monroe and Mickey Mouse was named after him and things like that. JJ said that he told stories that just made you go ''What!?'' He said the evening was insane. Mickey sang a song at dinner and it was incredible.
Howard asked if Mickey dropped the bomb on Hiroshima too. Howard did an impression of Steven and Howard said he knows that the guy doesn't like him. He said he's passed him by before and the guy won't even look at him.
Howard asked JJ if it drives him crazy that he has to do well with a film like this or the studio won't be happy. JJ said that it always drives him crazy. He said Steven doesn't even want to know anything before Sunday. JJ said that this movie doesn't have big stars starring in it so that's not going to draw the people to it.
JJ said that he used to love those movies that Steven made in the 80s and this was kind of a throw back to that kind of thing. He said that he hasn't seen that kind of genre movie in a long time.
Howard asked if Spielberg has a lot of toys in his house. JJ said he doesn't have any E.T. toys in there. Howard asked if it was terrifying showing his movie to Steven. JJ said it was. He said his heart was pounding and he couldn't believe he was showing him this movie. He said they sat down and watched it and Steven can look and see how it's going to work even if it's not finished. He said that he would keep hitting him like he was telling him it was a scene that would work. JJ said Steven can see what's going to work. JJ said he got emotional at one point and he knew it could work with the right music but it wasn't even in there yet and Steven could see it.
Howard asked what his wife wears in the pool or on the beach. JJ said she wears a one piece. Howard asked why she won't wear a bikini. JJ said she grew up in Maine so they're not into that up there. Howard said he wants to come to his house and sit by the pool with his wife. JJ said he's invited him but he never comes.
Howard gave JJ a plug for the new movie and said that this is good for him. Howard asked what he's doing today. Gary said he's on a satellite TV tour. JJ said he'd like to stay. He said it's his favorite thing being there. Howard told him to stick around for a few minutes.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he saw Super 8 and it was great but they fucked up the end of Lost. JJ said he loved it and thought it was amazing. The caller asked what the island was. JJ told him to get Damon (Lindeloff) on the phone and ask him. Howard asked what the island is. He said he can't leave until he answers. JJ said the island was real and everything that happened, happened. Howard asked what the black smoke was. JJ said you can't describe what magic is. Robin said she was lost so the title was appropriate. Howard said he must be bull shitting. Howard said they probably weren't supposed to know what it was. He asked what the black smoke was. JJ said he left in the first season of Lost so Damon and Carlton were running the show. He said they could answer that better. Howard said that's a cop out.
Another caller asked what kind of advice JJ had for someone trying to get their first feature made. Howard said he can answer that. He said there is no advice. He said that everyone gets there on their own.
JJ said that anyone can make a movie these days with the equipment that's out there. He said you can just go make a movie and the advice he would give is that you just go make a movie. He said that the Cannon 5D is an amazing camera that you can make one with.
Howard took another call from a guy who said that he doesn't have to kiss his ass on all of this. He said that it's interesting to just a few people. Howard asked who ruined it. The caller said that it was JJ who was ruining it. The caller said he respects that he's accomplished and all of that but he doesn't care. Gary came back in and said that he really has to go. Howard said according to the caller he was there too long already.
Howard took another call from a guy who said he thinks that the interview is great. He asked JJ if the fact that he's Jewish helped get into the business. JJ jokingly said that it's mostly about that. Howard said that's how you make it in the business. It has nothing to do with your talent. They went to break a short time later.

Gadget Gary On Geraldo. 02/02/10. 9:10am
Howard said that Gary was on Geraldo at Large the other night. He got some email about Gary screwing up some stuff on that show and on this show. He was saying ''G3'' instead of ''3G'' when he was talking about the iPad. He also said that Gary got some stuff wrong about the memory in the iPad on the show yesterday.
Howard played the audio from Geraldo's show where he introduced Gary as being from the CW and being ''Gadget Gary'' and as the executive producer of the Howard Stern Show. Howard thought he was being introduced as being from the CW.
Howard asked Gary what the best device is to play solitaire on. Gary said that it would probably be the iPad. Howard played more of the audio from Geraldo's show where he was asking Gary about the movie Avatar and if that's what it's going to be like in the future. Howard and Robin found it funny that Gary was being asked about that kind of stuff. Howard said he likes how Gary is now a gadget expert and people are buying into it. Gary said people would buy into it more if he would shut up. Howard said that if you say you're an expert then people will buy into it. Gary said that's very true.
Robin said the sports experts are the worst. She said that they'll tell you why the teams are going to win and they're always wrong. Howard said that these experts really don't know a thing. Gary said that's true and if they say you're an expert then the audience will buy into it.
Howard played more of the audio of Geraldo and Gary talking about Avatar. They eventually moved on to talk about the Sony eBook reader. Howard said he learned nothing from them about Avatar at all. Howard said he thought that Gary was going to talk about how it was going to lead to other products like 3D TV and stuff. Gary said Geraldo was asking if he thinks that they're going to lose actors to the CG and he was responding to that.
Howard asked what the medallion was that Gary was wearing on the show. Gary said it was a 45 record adapter for a record player. Howard said he thought it was a swastika. He found that kind of odd. He asked if he still listens to records. Gary said he has a lot of vinyl and he still has a turntable. He said his kids listen to some of that stuff too. He said he can't throw that stuff out because there are still things that aren't on CD yet. Gary said he has an 8 track player and some other stuff as well.
Ralph called in and said he's glad that they waited until now to talk about this. He said that Gary doesn't know anything about what he's talking about. Gary said he listens to Geektime and Ralph doesn't know what he's talking about either. Ralph said he likes that Gary said the iPad was a ''stumble'' for Apple and the thing hasn't even been released yet. Gary and Ralph went back and forth on that and Gary asked who Ralph thinks he is.
Howard played more of the audio of Gary on Geraldo and he was talking about that eBook reader. Ralph said he trots that thing out on every show he goes on. Gary said he's had it on two shows, that's it.
Geraldo was asking Gary about the eBook reader and if that's going to put book companies out of business. Gary said that they may replace books some day. He was also saying that the iPad was a stumble and Ralph went off on him about that again. He was goofing on Gary for saying that when the thing hasn't come out yet.
Gary was telling Geraldo about the similarities the iPad has to the iPhone. Ralph was laughing at the clip since Gary was getting this stuff wrong according to him. In the clip Gary was telling Geraldo about his kids playing with their iTouch (iPod touch) and how they can use that instead of an iPad.
Ralph said that Gary was talking about how the kids can watch a movie on the Touch but the video is too small. Ralph said that's why people will want the iPad. Gary said he's not sure he'd spend the money on that thing when he can do the same stuff on a cheaper iPhone or Touch.
Howard and Ralph were goofing on Gary about having to give his Blackberry to someone else to set up. Gary said that even that kind of stuff can't be done by someone who is into tech. He said he just got a little help.
Ralph said that just because you see someone on TV doesn't mean they know anything. Ralph said that Gary doesn't know anything about gadgets. Gary said that's just not true. Ralph said that Gary is just regurgitating what Jon Hein said about it. Gary said that's just not true.
Gary and Ralph went back and forth for a couple of minutes arguing with each other. Gary asked Ralph what his biggest accomplishment was in his life. Ralph said it was working for the Howard Stern show. Gary said that he doesn't work for the show, he works for Howard. Ralph said he does Geektime too.
Gary said that Ralph should have said that he doesn't respect him at all. Ralph said he wants to go on Geraldo too. Howard asked Ralph if he's more of an expert than Gary is. Ralph said ''absolutely.'' Howard asked if he would go on as Gadget Ralph to compete with Gadget Gary. Ralph said he would do it. He said he's not sure about the name but he would do it.
Howard asked Gary who is better at setting up a Blackberry, Jon Hein or Jim McClure. Gary said that he's sure Ralph wouldn't know how to set it up. Ralph said he knows how to load content into his web site, does Gary? Gary said he does. They both got in plugs for their web sites while they were arguing about that. Ralph's site is MyGeekTime.com and Gary's is BabaBooey.com.
Howard asked Gary if he knows why they call keyboards ''QWERTY'' keyboards. Gary didn't know. Ralph said that it's the layout of a keyboard. Gary thought it was a type of physical keyboard. Howard said it's the set up of the keyboard. Ralph said it's staring Gary right in the face every day while he's playing Solitaire.
Ralph asked Gary if he knows what operating system is on the iPad. Gary didn't know. Ralph said that it's the same one as on the iPhone. Gary said Ralph only knows about Apple though.
Howard asked Ralph what the difference is between a component cable and a composite cable. Ralph said that he knows. He said that the component cable was just one cable and the composite was 3. That was wrong. He kind of knew what he was saying but it wasn't exactly right. Gary said he's not in competition with Ralph because he's on national TV shows and Ralph isn't. Howard had to take another break after that.

In the clip Howard was talking about Superman and how his glasses hid him from everyone. Ralph said that he had something with them that hypnotized people. Howard said he never heard that. Ralph said he paid attention when he read the comic books. Howard said he could call DC Comics now and ask. He said he bets that they never said that they hypnotize people. Ralph was willing to bet him 50 bucks that they did.
Howard told Gary to get someone on the phone now. Gary said they don't have a home phone number. He said he thinks by 9 they might be able to get someone on the line.
Howard said he heard that the guys who invented Superman sold it for like $100. Howard said he heard that Warner Brothers would throw them some money once in a while though.
Howard said he was reading about some cave paintings that were found recently. He said they were really bad paintings. Howard said they say they're the world's oldest. Howard said that doesn't mean they're any good. Howard said you can barely tell what they were.
Howard asked Ralph where Superman would get the glass to hypnotize people. Ralph said he doesn't remember where they came from. He said he just remembers reading that they hypnotize people. Howard said there's a scene in Superman where Lois Lane loses her memory. Gary said he liked it better back in the day when they'd spray an aerosol spray in her face.
Howard said that there's a tiny piece of Krypton in his Fortress of Solitude. He said the people are miniaturized and they can make all kinds of stuff but they can't figure out how to make themselves big.
After an edited out break Howard came back and took a call from a guy at DC Comics. Howard told the guy that his cousin Jack Adler worked there. The guy said that he knew Jack and worked with him. Howard said Jack used to have a garage full of comic books. He said he would send him every comic in first edition in all of the different languages. He said his mother gave them all away to Robert Tobiason in his neighborhood.
Howard talked about how his cousin Jack sold off his stuff for almost no money. He said it would be worth a lot today.
Howard told the guy from DC what Ralph was saying about superman hypnotizing people. The guy, Tom, said that he is an expert there at DC. He said he has been at DC for 15 years. He said he agrees that Ralph is an idiot. He said that Ralph is actually right though. He said he would have won a bet. Tom said that Superman has been around for 50 years now and every 10 years or so they get new writers. He said someone tried to address this question and this writer came up with the hypnotizing thing. He said he thinks that the lenses were taken off the ship he came to Earth on. Howard said that Ralph is technically wrong though. Howard said that isn't part of Superman lore though. He said he'll pay him the 50 bucks he bet though. Howard said he's going to get another expert and ask Jack. Tom said Jack may not know. He said he hasn't read every comic book. Robin said that someone faxed her the same information.
in the clip Robin was reading about the new Green Lantern movie that was coming out. Howard and Robin were wondering about the history of the character and called Jason in to talk about some of that stuff. Jason came in and told Howard the information he was looking for about the character.
Howard Takes Some Calls. 03/23/09. 8:00am
Howard took one more phone call from a guy who told him to stop calling himself a geek because he's really not. Howard insisted that he was. Howard said that he really is a geek. The caller said that a geek doesn't watch The Bachelor or bad mouth Battlestar Galactica. Howard kept telling the guy that he is a geek. He said that the real geek is that Gamorrean Guard and Darth Nihilus.
The caller said that he's really a geek because he likes the old comic books and he's going to go see the new Wolverine movie. Howard said he can't wait for the Green Lantern movie. The caller was looking forward to that too. They spent a short time on that and Howard figured that he had shown that he was a geek in that conversation. He said he had to go to break after that.
Tobey Maguire Visits. 05/02/07. 7:35am
Howard talked about how great the Spider-Man 3 movie is and how great Tobey Maguire was in it. He had the guys bring him in after that. Howard said that when Tobey is like 90 years old, he's going to be chasing girls around as if he were really Spider-Man. He told Tobey that he loved the movie and he thinks that he deserves an Oscar for that.
Howard said there's a story in the paper about how the tabloids will do anything they can to paint a celebrity gay. He said that Tobey used to hang out with a bunch of guys like Leonardo Dicaprio and they were called the Pussy Posse. The tabloids thought that they could make it seem that Tobey was gay because he was hanging out with him so much so that's what they did. Tobey told Howard that his mother once spoke to The Globe thinking that she was talking to another magazine and said seme things that she probably shouldn't have said. He had to tell her not to talk to anyone after that.
Tobey is engaged so Howard asked him how he's avoided getting married so far. Tobey said he's been really busy so he hasn't had the time to get it done. He said that he gets the line about how she'd like to have his last name and she'd like their baby to have his last name. Howard told him to just tell her to take the name, he doesn't need to be married. Howard said that Tobey is engaged to the daughter of a big movie studio guy, Ron Myers. He said he had some big names at the engagement party. He read off some of the names and saw that Kate Hudson was there. He asked Tobey if she said anything about him at the party. Tobey joked that she was obsessed with him and talked constantly about him. Howard said it would be so cool if he could file orders of protection against all of these women like Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and Kate Hudson. Artie said that his whole life should be trying to get within 100 feet of them so they all get arrested.
Howard read that Tobey hasn't done any weed since he was 19 or so. Tobey doesn't drink either so he explained how he had a problem at one point and had to seek help for it. He said it was getting in the way of his life and who he wanted to be so he had to put a stop to it. Fred started playing some sad piano music while he was talking about that so Tobey laughed and said he couldn't go on anymore.
Tobey talked about starting out in the business when he was about 13 years old and how he was on a Rodney Dangerfield special. He said that Rodney actually hit on his mother. He said Rodney asked her if she wanted to do a little huggin' sometime when he hit on her.
Howard asked Tobey about how much he had to have made for this third Spider-Man movie. Tobey said that he doesn't make ''Howard Stern money'' so Howard said ''no one does.'' He figured that Tobey made a 3 picture deal and must have known what he was going to get paid years ago. He said he did make that deal and he got some points in the movies as well. Howard said it must be an astronomical amount of money. Tobey said he doesn't talk about that kind of stuff.
Howard said that Tobey has talked about how he'd make a fourth Spider-Man. He thinks that he really should if Sam Raimi is involved. Tobey said that Sam really is great. He said he had a lot of fun making the movie and Sam is really great and he makes it a lot of fun to do. Howard said they gave him more acting stuff to do in this third movie than they did in the past. He said that's true. Tobey said he thinks that they could still make those movies even if the wiped the slate clean and replaced everyone.
Howard asked Tobey about falling in love with Kirsten Dunst during the first movie. He wouldn't confirm that because he doesn't talk about that stuff. Howard said that it must be awkward to do love scenes and stuff in two more movies after breaking up. Tobey wasn't confirming or denying any of those stories. Howard said he thinks that she was turned on in the second film because her nips were hard. He said you can't fake that stuff.
Howard told Tobey that he should get back into that Pussy Posse thing. Tobey said that he's getting old but Howard said at 31 he should be back in the Pussy Posse. He asked him if he and Leonardo Dicaprio ever banged the same chick. Tobey wasn't talking about that stuff and wouldn't answer any questions about that stuff. He did talk about throwing up in a hot tub one time when he and Liv Tyler were hanging out. Tobey said that there were other people there as well and it wasn't just Liv. He said he wasn't feeling very well that night and he wasn't necessarily sick, it could have been induced by something else. He said he got into the hot tub and it all came out.
Howard asked Tobey if he hangs out with Jennifer Aniston and got to experience the whole Vince Vaughn thing and the Brad Pitt years. Tobey wasn't talking about that very much either. He was keeping all of the details to himself. Howard said he had a list of poon that he's had so he read that list. Tobey wasn't going to confirm or deny any of it. He rattled off names like Kirsten Dunst, Demi Moore, Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera. Tobey just laughed. He didn't confirm any of them. Howard told him it was a nice list. Howard said this must be beyond his greatest fantasies. Tobey said it is pretty great.
Robin asked Tobey how he got involved in acting. He said his mom pushed him into it and she was kind of a stage mom for him. He said he got moved around a lot as a kid so when his mom offered him the chance to either act or keep moving around, he chose to act.
Robin asked Tobey if there was a time when he didn't want to do Spider-Man anymore. Tobey said there was a time after he did Sea Biscuit because he had some back problems. He said his back eventually got better and he got back to it. Howard said that Jake Gyllenhal was named as a replacement for him but Artie said that all went wrong when Jake got fucked in the ass for that Brokeback Mountain movie. He said they can't have a gay Spider-Man.
Artie said he predicts that Spider-Man 3 will do at least 10 million this weekend. He was joking around and said he thinks that it'll probably set records. Howard said he thinks that this Spider-Man is the best of the 3 Spider-Man movies. He said that they wove in all of the different villains very well. That led to them talking about all of the enemies in the movie and how great it all came off. Howard said he didn't know what else to say other than congratulations. Artie hadn't seen the movie yet but he has seen trailers and the Sand Man character looks really cool. Howard told Tobey he just makes up answers when people ask him how they do those special effects. He's really not sure how they do that.
Howard asked Tobey what he's got going on after this movie. He said he doesn't have anything in the works right now, he can take a couple of months off to just relax. Howard said that must be cool to just take some time off like that. Tobey said that it really is nice.
Howard took a call from this guy Hanzi who asked Tobey about fussing over a certain type of water that he demands when he goes to hotels and stuff. Tobey said that he has a water he generally drinks, Ice Age, but he will drink just about any water he's given. He said he prefers tap water over certain waters like Evian. Howard said all he drinks is water so he agrees about some types of water not tasting right.
Howard asked Tobey if he's demanding that he have an entourage with him all the time. Tobey laughed and said that's not the case. He also takes chartered flights but doesn't fly on a private jet or anything. Ralph called in after that and asked if it bothers him that they don't have any hot chicks in these movies. Howard said that Ron Howard's daughter is hot but Ralph disagreed. He also pointed out Kirsten Dunst's teeth and how she should get those fixed. Tobey looked like he was about to pass out according to Howard and Robin. He didn't know what to say. Tobey let out an ''oh shit'' at one point.
Howard said that if the chick in the movie was the hottest chick on the planet, it wouldn't be a believable movie. Howard said that a girl with messed up teeth would be with Peter Parker. Howard asked Tobey if he broke up with her because of her teeth. Tobey wasn't answering and just kept laughing. Howard hung up on Ralph and let Joey Boots get through to ask a couple of questions. He asked if he wears a cod piece or if that's his real bulge in that costume. Tobey said that he doesn't have an enhancement, there's some stuff in there that keeps him packaged nicely. That led to Howard telling Tobey about how Artie had shot an episode of Rescue Me and had to wrap his package in an Ace bandage to keep his boner down in the love scene.
Howard took a call from a guy who asked if he thinks that Tobey is an A-list celebrity. Howard said of course he is, even Tobey thinks that he is an A-lister. The caller said that they rarely get A-list celebrities but Tobey wouldn't even be A-list if it weren't for the Spider-Man movies. Howard hung up on that guy and took another call from a guy who asked if he ever banged Kirsten in the Spider-Man costume. Howard asked him if he would ever do that with his wife. Tobey said there's really no way to do it because the costume is a one piece thing.
Joey Boots called back in and asked Tobey if he's afraid that a lot of gay guys jerk off to his image. Joey said he's got a few gay friends who masturbate to him daily. Tobey said he never really thought about that before. Howard took some more phone calls and let some people ask some questions. One guy asked him why he doesn't do Letterman. Tobey said he just did it yesterday but Dave was kind of busting his chops for not doing the show for the past few years. He said he had to do it after that but it's usually just scheduling conflicts that keep him off that show. He also put the word out the other A-list celebrities out there that Howard's show is safe to do, he won't hurt anyone.
Howard asked Tobey if he's going to go see this movie with an audience. He said he will see it with the fans one night this weekend. He said that's the best time to go see a movie because it's very exciting. Robin wondered if he can watch the movie and look at it as if he weren't involved with it. Tobey said he enjoys the movies and he's very excited about this one thinking that it's the best of the three. He said his opinion may change in 5 years but right now that's the way he's thinking.
Howard took a call from a woman who said that she's got an 8 year old who is going to go crazy knowing that she spoke to Tobey. Tobey even gave her son a ''happy birthday'' after she mentioned it was his birthday. Howard asked Tobey who he thinks could win in a fight, Batman, Spider-Man or Superman. Tobey thinks that Spider-Man could take care of both of them easily. He said that he'd just put together some Kryptonite web and take care of Superman. Batman wouldn't even be a fight. He said he has no super powers. Howard said that's probably right. He said that Batman really has no powers but he did beat Superman once because he did have some Kryptonite.
Howard took another call from a guy who told Robin he loves her big, black titties. Then he asked Tobey if Kirsten Dunst tossed his salad. Howard said that was ridiculous. He hung up on him and then Gary told Howard that some of the guys out there were kind of gay for Tobey so they wanted to come in and say hello. Jason Kaplan came in and told him how great he is and how great the Spider-Man movie was. He told him how great he is in some of the other movies he's been involved with. Steve the Intern then came in and told Tobey that he's a huge fan but he thinks of him as Peter Parker when he sees him. He wanted to ask him to sign a Spider-Man comic book and didn't want to insult him. Howard told Tobey not to sign it.
Howard told Steve that if he lets Sal and Richard tea bag him, he'll let him get the autograph. Steve said he couldn't do that again. Tobey, sounding very surprised, said ''Again!?'' Steve took a dick to the face to win some tickets on the show one time.
Ralph called in again and said that Batman could beat Spider-Man and got that argument going. Howard said that all of the women listening are drying up hearing all of this geek talk. Howard told Tobey that these Spider-Man movies are much better than the Superman movies. He also said that they're better than the Batman movies. They were all arguing back and forth about that stuff. Tobey said he likes a lot of movies like the first Matrix movie and Empire Strikes Back. Ralph asked him if he thinks George Lucas ruined the last three Star Wars movies. He said there were some great things about those movies but not all of his wishes were met with those three.
Howard took a call from Bobo who asked Tobey if he ever get it to ''Christian'' up the poop chute. Howard didn't even bother going after Tobey for an answer to that. He wrapped up with him a short time later and said that he recommends to his whole audience that they go out and see this movie.
Chris Doohan on the phone. 4-12-96.
Chris Doohan is the son of James Doohan. James Doohan played Scotty on the old Star Trek TV shows and movies. Chris sent Howard a letter to let him in on a new restaurant that he's going to be opening. He had him on the phone and Chris was telling Howard that it'll be a futuristic pub with Star Trek-like stuff inside. Scotty's Pub, as it will be called, will also have Star Trek memorabilia hanging around like in a Planet Hollywood. Howard won't invest in this crazy idea.
The Gossip Game With Guest Jason Alexander. 9/28/01. 8:00am
Howard and Jason also spent a few minutes discussing the new ''Star Trek'' TV show ''Enterprise.'' Howard watched the new show and said he really liked it. He said he even liked Scott Bakula as the captain. Jason said he hasn't watched it yet but he does have it on his TiVo ready to watch. He has always been a big Star Trek fan and he's even gone to at least one convention.
Howard moved on to talk about Jason's visit to Ground Zero yesterday. Howard thinks that a lot of celebrities are doing that just for photo-ops But Jason said he just wanted to see what was going on down there. He ended up getting escorted around by a cop who recognized him. He ended up going to a firehouse to help cheer up some of the families of the fire fighters who are missing in the disaster. He didn't plan on doing that though, it just happened.
Actress Jolene Blalock From ''Enterprise'' Comes In. 5/17/02. 8:45am
Actress Jolene Blalock came in to talk about the TV show ''Enterprise'' in which she stars. Howard got dressed up for her appearance because he thinks she's so hot. Howard said he's not sure what she is. He thought she was part black or something. When she walked in Howard could just say ''Wow!'' as he looked her over. Howard told her that anything she sees wrong with him can be fixed. He continued to look her over and told her how hot she is. Howard said he'd put her in a bikini every week if the show were his. He said his favorite part of the show is when they have to put her character in a decontamination chamber.
Jolene told Howard that she doesn't have any ethnic background, she's Scotch and Irish. Howard said he thought she had some black in there so he was surprised to hear that there wasn't.
Howard asked Jolene about ''Enterprise'' and how she remembers all of the lines she has to learn. Howard also asked her who she's dating now. She said she's going out with the CEO of Clear Channel Entertainment... whoever that is. Howard went on to talk to her about when she lost her virginity (18) and where she grew up and went to school. He tried to get details about the first time she had sex. She gave him a few details but not all that much. Howard also asked her if she uses a vibrator to pleasure herself when she doesn't have a man around. She said she prefers a faucet and water jets in a bath over a vibrator.
Howard continued to ask Jolene about the guys she's dated and how he'd like to bang her himself. He thinks she'd be let down by his small penis though. Jolene told him that the smallest guy she ever had was about 5 inches.
Howard read that Jolene dated Edward Furlong who is basically a mess. Howard told Jolene that a guy should have to have been in at least 5 movies before he can date her.
Jolene said she's happy with ''Enterprise'' right now and she's tied up with that for the next couple of years. Howard said he's a big fan of the show and told her that she does a real good job with her character. Howard asked if they'll ever put her character in sexier clothing. She wasn't sure about that though.
Howard continued to talk to her about sex and stuff like for a few minutes. He also took a couple of phone calls before wrapping up the interview. He said that the season finale of ''Enterprise'' is next Wednesday, May 22nd, at 8pm on UPN.
While Howard was doing the commercial break after the interview and said that Tom Chiusano wanted to know if Jolene's breasts were real or fake. Howard had them bringing her back in so he could find out. Howard said that a bunch of guys called in wondering to cover up for Tom. She said they're fake and she's had them for about 10 years. That means she's had them since she was 17 or so. She said she's glad she did it though. Howard and the guys said they thought they were real because they looked so good. She claims that they're only a B-cup but Howard said they've got to be at least a C. She said that it's just because they're on such a small frame that they look so big.
Bionic-Con Discussions. 07/23/07. 7:05am
After the break we heard a prank call the guys made to Gary the Retard using audio clips of Heidi Cortez asking him to get naked. After that Howard came back and asked JD to tell Gary that it was too cold in there. He told him to tell Gary to turn up the temperature a cunt hair. He said he hates using that term but he had nothing better to describe how much he wanted it turned up. A short time later Scott came in and adjusted the temperature a little bit.
Howard went on to talk about this Bionic-Con convention and how it featured fans of the Six Million Dollar Man. Lee Majors was supposed to be there and 200 fans showed up to celebrate the bionic man and woman and also Buck Rogers. He read through the article and said that there were stars like Richard Anderson, Erin Gray and Gil Gerard. There was someone who paid $3,300 to have dinner with Lee Majors but Majors didn't show up. He said that Majors burned all of his fans by not showing up.
Howard read that some fans were really upset that Majors didn't show up. Some of his co-stars were upset that he didn't show up either. The guy who played the original Cousin It was there and got upset about him not coming. Howard said that they should have been there to do interviews, he would have loved to have spoken to the guy who played Cousin It.
Howard said it turns out Lee Majors had to film a movie that weekend and wasn't able to make it. The article also mentioned that they have a cruise coming up next year so maybe Majors will be able to make that. Howard said that's funny that Lee Majors is a big draw like that.
Howard read through some of The Onion's latest headlines which are pretty funny. He read through a few of the headlines and said that those guys are really funny over there.
Wolfie At Comic-Con Clips. 06/06/12. 9:15am
After the break we heard some prank calls Sal and Richard made to a Radio Auction radio show where they got all confused about the items they were bidding on. We also heard Adam Sandler's ''At A Medium Pace'' song. Fred played Green Day's ''Welcome to Paradise'' as they were coming back.
Howard came back and said he got to nothing again today. He said it's already 9:20 and he didn't get to Wolfie's interviews from Comic-Con. Howard said he had to play just one to tickle your tits. Howard said these guys who go to Comic-Con are really nerdy. Howard said he's nerdy but not nerdy enough to go to one of these things. Howard said he would feel like too much of a douche to go. Robin said there's a documentary about them and it's brilliant. Howard said he has that at home but he's not sure he wants to watch it.
Howard played a clip of Wolfie talking to a guy in a mask. Howard had to interpret what the guy was saying. He said it might have been the Killer Moth. Gary helped him out with that. Wolfie asked him who he was and to tell them about his character. The guy was talking through his mask so it was hard to understand.
Howard said Killer Moth is the opposite of Batman. He helps villains out with the good guys. Howard said he's glad he's not that fucked up that he's running around in a mask at a convention. Wolfie asked the guy if he was made up or a real character. The guy said it was a real character.
Wolfie asked the guy if he was more happy to meet Scott Bacula or Jackie the Joke Man. The guy didn't know who Jackie was. Howard said he's not sure what Jackie was doing there. Howard said Wolfie claims that Jackie was sitting there all by himself. He said Jackie had no sense of humor about it either. Howard said Jackie was saying that it was early and later on he'd have more people.
Howard played the audio of Wolfie asking Jackie if he ever thought it would come to this. Jackie said he loved being there. Jackie also said he loves what he does and he wouldn't want to trade places with anyone. Howard cut the clip off when Jackie was explaining how much he has to charge for autographs. He said it was too depressing.
Howard played another clip of a guy talking about meeting Hayden Panettiere there but he wasn't able to say her name. He tried a bunch of times but wasn't able to get it.
Howard said some guys are pathetic. He said one guy was mad about Dean Stockwell not being very friendly. Howard said Dean is a pretty good actor but he's at Comic-Con and this guy comes up to him. Howard played that clip and the guy was saying he was trying to meet someone else but he got to meet Dean Stockwell. The guy said he was kind of stand offish. He said that someone wanted to talk to him and the guy didn't want to talk at all. Robin said that Dean should have gone over to Jackie's table. Wolfie asked the guy who he was there to see and he was looking for Bruce Campbell. Howard said he wasn't sure who he is. Gary said he was in Evil Dead. Howard said that guy is so weird.
Howard played more audio of Wolfie asking the guy about who he thinks has the biggest penis in the comic book world. The guy said it's probably The Hulk. Wolfie asked if he would give this up to save starving people around the world. The guy said no way and that's their problem.
Howard said he had a clip of Black Batman. Wolfie asked him some questions and the guy was dressed as Batman but he was black. Wolfie asked if anyone had asked him why he was dressed like that. The guy said that it doesn't matter what color you are. Everyone can do cosplay. Howard said he can't figure out why this guy isn't at his job.
Howard said Anthony Michael Hall was there at Comic-Con. Howard said he's a pretty good guy. He said he's a big fan of the show too. Howard said he's going to save the rest of these for later. He said he has audio of Erin Grey and they asked her a goofy question and she answered it seriously. Howard said she thought she influenced the world. Howard played that clip. Howard said she should have told Wolfie to get out of there but she actually said that her role on Buck Rogers was very powerful and changed a lot of young women's lives. Erin said she gets a lot of women telling her that they got into the Air Force because of that role. Wolfie asked if she's ever had violent squirting diarrhea. She said she didn't but Pepto Bismol always works for her. Robin said she loves that Comic-Con gathering.
Ralph called in and said that Jackie was the king of all ball busters and he didn't like having his balls busted. Howard said he'll play the rest of the tape to let people hear it. Gary said he thinks he should play the whole thing straight through. Howard did it for Gary and Ralph and just let the whole clip play. Jackie eventually gets fed up and almost tells Wolfie that this isn't fun, or funny. Jackie said that he's had such a great life and it makes everyone crazy. Howard said it doesn't make them crazy. Ralph laughed and said it's funny that he doesn't get why they're busting his balls. Howard said that Jackie was there all alone and they have a picture of him with no people at his booth. Howard said they have the crowd control poles set up for his line but there's no one there.
Howard told Fred to check that one out. Ralph was trying to find it but he wasn't able to. Jason said he was trying to find out who took the picture so they can get permission to use it.
Howard spent another minute with that and then let Ralph go. Howard said he has to take a break and get to some news. Howard said Ass Napkin Ed wants to adopt that Garfield cat. Howard said that he doesn't want them letting him get it. Howard said Ed would be a horrible owner. Howard said he saw his behavior at AGT so he won't allow it. Ed asked if he can have the Roger Waters tickets. Howard said he can have them if he promises not to adopt that cat. Ed agreed. Howard told him he's got tickets to the show at Yankee Stadium in July. Ed asked Howard to change his Twitter picture because it looks like he's taking a shit and it's making him sick. Howard found that funny that he's making Ed sick. Howard went to break a short time later.
In the clip Howard had Adam West in studio. He said that he's the only real Batman. Robin said that his voice is really unmistakable. Howard said that he's the great Batman Adam West. Howard said that he's upset that they didn't use him in the movie. He's also upset that he's not used in the Batman cartoon.
Howard said Adam has a new book out and he is very open and honest in the book. Adam said Howard was the same with his book. He said he was in Howard's book and he's very honored to have been in there. Howard didn't remember why he was in there. Adam didn't either.
Adam brought in his Batman mask and asked if Howard would try it on. Howard asked if it was the real thing. Adam said that it is. Someone wrote in it that it's not a safety helmet. Howard asked if it's the real thing. Adam said it absolutely is. Howard said it's not that elaborate. He said it appears to be very cheaply made. Adam said he has to make sure he gives it back.
Howard asked Adam to put it on when it didn't fit him. Adam said he's not allowed to wear it. He has a deal with the Batman owners. Gary said he heard Adam talking about what that mask is worth and it's a lot. Adam said he's had offers for all of that stuff and it's worth a lot.
Howard said Adam didn't get paid very well for the show so holding on to that stuff was a good idea. Adam said he thought it was kind of shrewd. Howard said he only got paid for reruns for the first two years. He said that he was only making $4500 per episode when they were filming. Howard said he must have been happy to have had the gig at the time. He said trying to get more money out of them must have been hard. Adam said he was making good money at the time. It was a very long time ago.
Howard asked if he was freaking out when he heard Michael Keaton was hired as Batman. Adam said he had a few minutes of being upset but that was it. Howard said they could have had him play Alfred. Adam said he would have loved to do that. He said he could have played Uncle Batman too.
Howard said Adam was in his book because he came on the TV show. He said he thinks that Adam is going to end up going nuts when he gets old and think he's Batman. He said that happened to Johnny Weissmuller who played Tarzan. He thought he was actually Tarzan when he got old and senile.
Howard said that Adam was stereotyped after doing Batman. Adam said he absolutely was. He said now he's playing a doctor on this new show he's in. Howard said it would be great if they had people come into the room and say ''Hey Batman, when did you become a doctor?'' He said that would be great. Howard said Fred Gwynn had to battle that whole Herman Munster thing for years. He said he finally got that great role in My Cousin Vinnie and then he dropped dead. Adam said it took a good 24 years for him to get away from the Batman thing.
Adam asked Howard about book signings and what that's like. Howard said that he thinks that his book will sell better than his.
Adam said the books are going out of the warehouses like crazy. Howard said he has to talk about his book. Howard asked him about going to a movie premier with Natalie Wood. Adam said he was asked to escort her there.
Howard asked Adam about dating Lana Wood. Adam said he never had sex with her. Howard said he had better talk about this or he'll never sell any books. Howard asked if he nailed Natalie Wood. Adam said that they just went out for drinks.
Howard asked Adam about how he was duped by this man who was dressed like a woman. Adam said he didn't know that story was in the book. Howard asked how it happened. Adam said this was in old Madrid. He said they were filming in Spain and he saw this gorgeous woman standing there. He said that he thought it was Doris Day because that's what someone told him. He said that she was supposed to be there filming. Adam said the woman kissed him lightly and asked him to buy her a drink. He said one thing led to another and they ended up in bed. Adam said that his hand slipped down the body and he felt plastic in the lower area. He said it was kind of a plastic girdle. Adam said he jumped out of bed naked and ran across the room and hit the wall. Adam said he didn't leave though. He stuck around.
Adam talked about living in Idaho with his family and how he tries to keep things quiet out there. He said he doesn't tell anyone about where he lives. Howard asked if there's a lot of acting work out there. Adam said he has to travel for work but it's worth it.
Howard asked Adam if he has to keep working. Adam said he does. He said he has 6 kids. Howard asked who is there with him today. Adam said that's his daughter. Howard said he thought that was his girlfriend. Adam said that this is his daughter and she's on her way to college. He said he's delivering her to college next Monday.
Howard told Gary to bring Adam's daughter in. Gary brought Nina in a short time later. Howard said a lot of guys must want to date her. She just laughed. Howard said a lot of guys are going to hit on her. Howard said a lot of guys are going to want her because of who her father is. Some will want her for being cute. Howard said she should stay away from men all together. Howard said Adam must like hearing that. Adam said he has had a few talks and he really watches her.
Howard asked Nina if she was upset that her father wasn't in the Batman movie. She said she was a little. Howard asked if the house looks like the Bat Cave. Nina just laughed. Howard spent a few more minutes with Adam and Nina and then wrapped up.

New It's Just Wrong Contest Coming Soon? 9/12/03. 7:20am
After the break Howard said there's this new thing on the internet that he's heard about. He said you get on a site where you get together and go to a store or something and tell them you love their product, then leave. Benjy said he saw one thing where hundreds of people show up at a store and start bowing to a toy at a toy store. Benjy said it's going on all over the world. Gary said he was told by Jason that they call them ''flash mobs.'' Howard said he's not in on that stuff but he figures it must be a way to get laid for some people. That led to Howard taking about how much he likes to get laid.
Gary was in so he and Howard talked about this one woman who Howard met, who will remain nameless, and how he could have banged her. He said all he did with her was make out with her. He said that this was a woman who used to bang a lot of guys but when he came around, she wanted him to work for it. He said he didn't want to do that. Howard said he told Gary about it because it brings him a little closer to the situation.
Howard said a lot of people are pushing for 9/11 to be made into a holiday for the country. Howard said he's all for a day off but he can see stores having ''Special 9/11 Sales'' and crap like that.
Howard took a call from a guy who said he has two sisters who are willing to do an ''It's Just Wrong.'' Howard said that's the game that got Robin kicked out of a charity she used to be involved with. She told Howard that she was sick at the time the last ''It's Just Wrong'' happened and when she didn't get back to the charity about the complaints they were getting so they wrote her a letter thanking her for doing it and dropped her as a spokesperson. Robin said they were aware that there would be some controversy surrounding her being part of it. Howard said he has a grandfather who wants to do this stuff with his granddaughters as well. Howard said the one problem they have is trying to get money for the grand prize. Howard told the caller to set up the whole thing and they'd have them on when it was set up.
And Finally... 05/19/05. 10:05am
Robin mentioned that Richie from E! saw that a theater in the area had all 14 screens showing the new Star Wars movie and every theater was full. Richie came in so Howard asked him if he was going to come to the party they have for Beth's FHM cover. Richie has other things going on so he can't make it. While they were talking about the Star Wars stuff Craig was doing a Yoda impression that was funny. Howard felt bad for Richie after he left because they were giving him a good beating. Gary came in a minute later and asked Richie if they could talk about how he dated this chick that liked weird stuff. Richie said that he dated just one girl who liked to be punched during sex. Richie told Howard that this one girl wanted him to crack her in the head while he was doing her and he couldn't do it. Howard wanted to get the show done so they could get out of there. Richie told them that he'll probably see Star Wars one more time after seeing it twice so far. The guys don't think he'll be able to see it just one more time though. Robin said that after he saw the movie, he had to go out and buy the video game based on the movie. Richie said the game was actually very good.
iPod Discussions. 09/29/05. 10:15am
Vinnie Favale from CBS called in and told Howard about some accessories for the iPod that he uses. He told Howard about a wireless connector for his car and a microphone that he could use to record on it. Vinnie uses the microphone for recording his Podcast. Howard told him that maybe he should be working out instead of doing a Podcast. They goofed on Vinnie about his weight a little bit and about his many iPods that he uses to listen to different types of music. He explained how he has 3 of them so he can put new music on one, old radio shows and stuff on another and his music library on another. Gary told Howard about some other tech stuff that Vinnie has in his house that allows him to be even more lazy. Howard asked Vinnie which one he would throw away if he had to get rid of just one. Vinnie said it would be the old, original one that's so clunky. Howard let him go a short time later but Vinnie got in a plug for his web site RipTheMusic.com. He said he's got 8 Podcasts up on the site now and he's working on more. Gary said that Vinnie has told him about how he doesn't have any CDs anymore because he has ripped them all to his server and doesn't need the CDs anymore. Howard just wanted to end the show so he cut everyone off and had Robin finish up her news.
In the clip Howard took a call from a guy who asked if he got the comic books he sent to him. Howard said he did. He said the comic books he sent weren't that good. He said he just wants Superman, Batman and things like that. He said they do this reality based comic book thing and that's not what he wants. Howard said he likes the classic kind of comic books. Howard told the guy he threw that stuff right in the garbage. Howard said all of this stuff that he thinks appeals to him doesn't.
Howard said that there are great comic books you can read while sitting on the toilet. He said you can finish them in one reading. The caller said that he has a comic book store and he'd be surprised at how many people are in there.
Howard said that's fine but these new comic books are a mess. Howard said this guy is in the business and he doesn't know what he's talking about. He ended up hanging up on the guy. Howard said if you want to be nice just send a regular comic book.

Howard spent a short time talking about how much he's looking forward to the upcoming Spider-Man movie. He said it's already getting great hype and hardly anyone has seen it yet. He said he's also read about some other movies that are on the way like ''Essential Hulk'' and ''Batman Year One.'' After reading about what they're going to be about he said that maybe it's time to do his ''Fartman'' movie because of all of these super hero movies coming out.
Howard 100 News, Wrap Up Show And Intern Show Previews. 05/05/10. 9:05am
Steve Brandano came in with his Intern Show preview. He said they have Medicated Pete calling in tonight. They're also near the end of the semester so some of the interns may open up more now. They're on tonight at 7 on Howard 101.
Howard heard that Steve didn't go to the Iron Man screening last night because he wants to go to see it with ''real'' fans. Howard said he blew it and he's a real Iron Man fan. Steve said Howard wasn't the only one that was there. Steve said Tim Sabean was worried about how he was going to get his Blackberry into the theater.
Howard asked Steve if he knew what the name of Stark's father was in the comic. Steve didn't know so Howard told him to get out of there. Steve said he doesn't want to piss Howard off in the theater so that was another reason he didn't go. He said they didn't get some references in the first movie and he didn't want to go through that again.
Howard said that he's as big a fan as Steve is. Steve said he would go to see it with Howard. He said it's other people he doesn't want to see it with. Steve said he wants to see people cheering and stuff at the theater. He was arguing with Robin about it and said that she doesn't even read comics. Robin said she likes super hero movies and there's nothing wrong with that.
Steve said he's going to see the movie at midnight on Thursday night. Robin said she went to see Batman at midnight. Steve said that's fine but she's not as big of a fan of comic books as he is. Howard asked Steve about some comic book characters and tried to trip him up as a comic book fan. Steve said he's not challenging Howard, he's challenging his staff as being fans.
Ralph called in and told Steve he's nuts because he missed out on seeing it in Imax and they were the first people to see it in Imax. Steve said he doesn't care about that. Ralph said they were cheering during the movie too.
Cyrus from Philly called in and asked Howard how big of a fan he really is. Howard told him that he's such a fan he bought Stan Lee and he has him on display in his apartment. Howard said he actually spoke to Stan recently and he says ''Excelsior'' every time before he hangs up. Howard said he doesn't know that much about comics these days but he did when he was a kid. He said he had to take another break after that.
Comic Book Discussions. 05/11/10. 7:40am
Howard said he had to break before bringing in the Amish model. He spent a minute talking about the model and how wacky the whole thing is with the Amish and their rules.
Howard said he has a lot of wacky people there who want to argue with him about comic books. Howard said Steve Brandano didn't go to the Iron Man 2 screening because he wanted to see it with ''real fans'' like he is. Howard said he got an email from someone who saw it with ''real fans'' and they were so annoying that the guy couldn't stand it.
Howard said that there are people who think that the Hulk's name is Bruce Banner but it's actually Robert Bruce Banner. He told the story about how Stan Lee named the character and how he came up with Robert Bruce Banner. Howard said the guy who was cast as the Hulk on the TV show was originally David (Richard) Keel. He said that Lou Ferrigno ended up getting the job because he was more muscular.
Robin said that stuff isn't comic book stuff. Howard said anything to do with the Hulk is comic book stuff. Gary corrected Howard on the Richard Keel name and laughed. Howard said he doesn't care what the guy's real name was. He said he only cares about the comic book thing.
Gary said Steve thinks that he could crush Howard in a comic book trivia thing. Howard said that he hasn't read comic books in years. He said that he's old school.
Steve came in and said he didn't want any of this stuff. He said he just didn't go to the movie and he went to see it with the real fans and it was fun and exciting. Steve said that he did cheer at times during the movie.
Howard noticed that he was wearing a comic book t-shirt and they had Thor, Wolverine and a few others on there. Steve said that Jon Favreau said that he appreciates that he went to see the movie the way he did. Howard told him he's sounding like a douche bag now. He kicked him out. Howard said Steve is now Steve Brandano and not Steve the Intern.
Howard said during the break he's going to fill out his American Idol survey. He said they're taking this survey to find out what people think about the judges. Howard said he thinks that Ellen is a drip and they don't need this survey but he's going to fill it out. Howard had to go to break after that.
